It was our first visit to Zone 28 from a school holiday event. We tried Bowling, Arcade and Laser Tag. It would be a great place for planning events. They need to attempt more options on price specials of the games, especially on the food, too.
Memorial day weekend hubby and I decided to check zone 28 out since we've never been. We specifically went for bowling so that's what we did. Unfortunately the time that we went was busy so we were only able to bowl for a half hour since the place was rented out for an organization. Tip: make sure lanes are available before you come We had a great time laughing, bowling and eating our appetizer which was the Buffalo chicken dip. The staff was friendly and the place was nice and clean. We would go back a
It was our first time at Zone 28 and we had so much fun! We availed the Birthday bash for 10 persons $275... it was worth it. 2hrs of fun with 2 large pizzas of our choice and 2 pitchers of pop+water... the pizzas were unexpectedly large and well made, too! We got the Supreme and Meatlovers! The alcoholic drinks "Fish Bowl" and the "blackberry bowl" was sooo good. Huge bowl of slushy for $15. Again, worth it! Our server Mackenzie was wonderful. Although we left tips with our extra drinks and orders, I fel
Came to Zone 28 for a family reunion and it was amazing! A great place to socialize, eat, and have fun for large parties! The employees were super friendly, food & drinks were delicious, and the manager Beau came to check on our party to ensure everything was perfect! Really enjoyed the bowling, large selection of arcade games & prizes, and laser tag! While we didn't do the escape rooms, we were given a tour of them and they looked really cool! Highly recommend coming here if you have a party to plan,
Had my sons 8th birthday party here and it was phenomenal!! Our host was amazing and so helpful. The kids had an absolute blast!!! They make the birthday boy feel special! Truly a great place! Thank you for reading my review. I hope it helps. Please like and follow for more honest reviews.
I'm sorry to say it but Zone 28 is starting to really show its age. The bowling balls have a degree of wear that is hard to excuse, and a lot of the arcade selection is trending towards rigged garbage. It's a good spot for kids birthdays still, for sure, but set your expectations low (unless you're here to get sloshed, then it's probably still a good time).
This place is a lot of fun. Everything looks great there. A really nice improvement on the old buildings appearance. I write this review as a parent of a child on the spectrum. This is not Funfest anymore. It is much busier, flashier, and hectic. It's a fun environment for most, but I did want to share that information for parents planning birthdays without having been here in a while. Again, still a great place, but be wary if you are affected by loud noise or flashing lights in any regard.
Lots of good games, but each is expensive. They ranged from 50 cents up to $2-3. Use of a credit card type swipe and play makes it EASY to use, but the credits go fast and usually it's for only one cycle in each game. The staff is great and very understanding 5 Star Review for them. The environment is loud, so conversations are hard to have, whether in the arcade or bowling alley. But groups can have some team building time. My daughter and I had fun
I have not bee to Zone 28 in 6 years and I was pleasantly surprised with all the updates . I was there for a child?s birthday but I will surely be back for an adult girls night . We had a blast at laser tags and plenty of options for games . My adult Slushie and wings were delicious .
They made my son's birthday party an absolute blast! While they were bowling the lights over the lane changed to announce his birthday, and the minions took over all of the screens on the lane to sing him happy birthday! (And punch each other, the kids loved it ??) They let us decorate how we liked and were able to hang up some plastic tablecloths to look like the Five Nights at Freddy's curtain for pictures, and the kids had an awesome time playing laser tag and playing in the arcade. They cleaned everythi
Good place for groups to enjoy the day out and many activities. Bowling, you don't need bowling shoes, which is interesting. Arcade games are a mix of decent games, but a lot of real young children geared games. To play pool is pricey. Bar is the best with all the drink options
This is fun for any group. Have small ones? Take them to the arcade or set up the bumpers for bowling with smaller bowling balls. Older kids, different arcade games or bowling. Adults. Then bowling and an incredible lists of drinks. Their list of drinks might be the largest I have seen. They do have gluten free (friendly options). There is a pokestop for those who play. Good stuff, friendly staff.
It was my son?s birthday and I reserved a bowling lane for two hours, paid for the time, ordered food and was having a great time until our time was significantly cut short within the matter of an hour for us to move in order to make room for someone else. I had never been so mistreated by an establishment before and I am astonished and disappointed with my treatment. Yes, I received a discount for my time, but the customer service during my son?s birthday celebration really brought such a an unfortunate ex
Bowling, arcade, lazer tag, food, and much more at Zone 28. Took the family here on a random Sunday and it was packed! Birthday parties, families, groups, etc everywhere... We were told we had to wait 45 minutes for a lane but that was okay, we wanted to eat lunch anyways, so we got a table at The Rail House restaurant on site, the staffing was definitely a little short there but the young gentleman that helped our table was amazing! Took our orders, everything was correct, and although it looked like he wa
Cool place, nicely built, lots to do. Just a little disappointed in the bowling. Super minimal oil on the lanes. Not sure if that is a valid complaint or not. Otherwise a great place for family fun or events!
Fantastic fun for everyone. So much to do so many choices. You could spend an hour or all day there. The activities are awesome but it's the people that make a difference. We had amazing hospitality when we were there recently. Cant wait to come back.
Took my grandson there the other night and it was great! I haven't been there in quite some time (at least for games) and I was really impressed by the amount of games there were and how interactive they were. Everything was very clean and we had a great time!
It's usually pretty fun, I recommend eating before you go. Bar service is very slow. I do also think it's a little rude to be vacuuming at a patron's feet at 11:20, when you're advertised as open til 12.
The arcade was miles ahead of Dave and Busters. Me and my date spent $100 and I think it lasted us 2 hours. Very enjoyable. However the bowling was terrible for me. I usually bring my own shoes but couldn't find them today so I used a couple pairs from this place. I about face planted every approach and asked for a refund and they gave it. It would be great for casual bowling however if you like to bowl competitive/sportsmans style I would stay away. The one lady ringing us up (seemed new) told us it was o
Had an awesome time with the family bowling, and the kids having a great time doing laser tag. Will definitely go back. Great staff, good food, great atmosphere.
Very good food and plenty of it! The waitress took very good care of us. There are also all kinds of video canes and pool and bowling! All sorts of things to keep the entire family happy! The games are in a separate section from the restaurant so you don't hear much of the noise. We really enjoyed the food and would stop again when we are in the area. Recommended!
We were there for a company party. Awesome place. Good food and drinks. We had salad, wings and pizza. All of the staff was very friendly. Escape room, laser tag, games, bowling, restaurant and bar. Very clean. It has it all.
Fun time for all age groups! There's bowling, an arcade, laser tag, 2 bars, food? personally I'd recommend taking the younger kids earlier in the day ? teens and adults at night but it's totally up to the parents. Weekends are usually busy so reserve your lanes!
This place is a must go to when I visit from Florida. They take care of their own and is a friendly atmosphere for all people. Thank you Zone 28 and staff for all you do!!
Still as fun and excited if not more fun since they now have escape rooms lil bro had wedding there staff was extremely prompt and proper
It's close to the turnpike and has a decent amount of parking with several convenient entrances. The lanes have a mechanical pin mechanism, which I much prefer, but we did have a couple occasions where it messed up. We could edit scores ourselves, but you can't do simple things like clear the pins if it did something stupid. Getting someone to fix the issues didn't take too long. The ball return felt slower than I'm used to. The bowling screen/control thing is very lack luster and not extremely intuiti
Awesome bowling and game venue! Plenty of lanes, games, food and drink options as well as parking. Great time for adults and kids alike.
I have been here at least twice. Here's the pros and cons of this place. It's not a bad facility, but I totally prefer Scene 75 over this place. Pros - they recently renovated the place and now it has a new and sharp look to the facility. There's two restaurants (one of them with an ourdoor bar and mini bowling). There's a legit arcade area now, a private bowling area if you want to reserve for your own party, laser tag and escape room. They offer a $20 deal - where you get an hour bowling, $20 in arcade c
Bowling was okay but restaurant food was grossly undercooked and servers were overworked. Took forever to get someone to take our order and then one of our drinks never made it. Celery was old, cheese to dip platter food was cold and had layers of cheese crusted over. Chicken fingers were hard, potato skins stale. BBQ chicken pizza was not fully cooked as cheese wasn't even melted and the sauce was nasty. $3 for a soda with no refill? Watered down as well. The tables were filthy. Parmesan chicken wings a
Great updates with bars and restaurants, but food quality was average and 60-minute bowling sessions were less than desirable when your game is shut off on the hour mark without warning or ability to finish your last frames especially when the lanes were not in great demand.
The food was very good! The drinks were expensive yet had barely any alcohol in it, so why charge so much?
Heard about it. First time there. Great for family. Clean, fully staffed, great atmosphere.
A family favorite, we have been going here since we were kids. The building has gone through many updates yet remains the place we grow up going.
This is without a doubt one of the most over priced places of its kind that I ever been too. The bowling and games are simply too expensive for a typical family. The pizza at the party my kid attended was not very good either. Outside there were far too many people smoking out on the sidewalk to the point you had to walk out on the parking lot to get around them. There also should be signs up pointing to the exit off guys run rd. Turning north onto Freeport rd. from the other exit is very difficult. Trying
It was an amazingly fun day. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for run and fellowship with friends and family. A great place to take your children or have a birthday party.
Ate lunch after visiting OakmontCC. Great food. Bowling, arcades, and games. Great kids party place
This place has got it all. Fun, food, nice atmosphere. You can tell they spent money by looking at the place. It's nice. Very nice. Have not been here for about 10 years and was surprised at really how nice it is. Bowling, arcade, full blown restaurants, fully stocked bars and menus for food. Indoor and outdoor seating, large screen televisions, comfy booths and tables. Got here around 4-5pm On a saturday and Expected to have to wait for a table and was surprised when the place was nearly a empty. Only
I am not happy! I came here on Thursday and went bowling with my daughter and husband. She wanted to go to the arcade so we loaded $20 on the card. We ran out of time and had to be somewhere that night, so didn't use all the money on the card. We told my daughter we could come back another day and use the rest. There was $12 left still! That day was today that we went back, and I was shocked to find that the rest of the money was gone! I then had to load another $20 on for her to play when NOWHERE does it s
We had my 16 year old son's birthday party here last night. I purchased the big package that included an hour of bowling, 1 laser tag game, $20 game cards for each of our guests, a 75 game play armband for my son, a novelty bowling pin for guests to sign, 2 pizzas, and soda. It was worth every penny. The hostess was very attentive and very helpful. We had a party room reserved for 2 hours that we could leave our things in. The hostess refrigerated the cupcakes we brought until it was time to sing happy birt
We had a wonderful time again this year! My husband's company has a Christmas party there and its always wonderful food, service and fun!
This place was amazing for my son's 7th birthday party. Clean, fun, and really engaging for the adults and kids. Our host Logan really made everything go smoothly (he served cake! He made sure the kids had enough food! He helped when they couldn't figure out the games!) and every staff member was pleasant. We had the best time playing laser tag and appreciated how big the room was. The whole experience was worth every penny.
We came here for my birthday. The bowling was great, and so were most of the arcade games? HOWEVER! Absolutely do not play the Barber cut game. It mentions that if you hit it once and it doesn't cut just keep playing. My husband hit that string 15 times. We caught it on video several times. Nothing happened. We told management. We showed them the video. They gave us a card with more credit, but other than that did not care. The Barber Cut is completely broken and is a total scam and the manager did not see
My sister threw a birthday party here for my neice who turned 11. Her friends had a blast & so did the parents. I loved the bumper cars! They were awesome! Obviously later tag was a thrill. We had such a good time at that party. I will definitely keep it in consideration for when my son gets older!
Just love this place always have a great time! Have good rates for disabled people. Love this place! Very clean good food! Staff is very friendly and helpful.
This establishment is awesome, they use modern bowling technology with lots of video TV screens, food/restaurant, bar and arcade. And even have a private bowling party room with plenty of seating and a private bar.
It's a great place , our first time there. I was however shocked at the amount of people. The food was decent and the drinks good. My daughter had a ball ! Oh and a BIG shout out to Ms. Sara our server , she was working so hard and they have very little help serving food and taking orders. If she's there when you are, please tip her well as I did. She's sweet.
Great place to bowl, and they have a great arcade. Also has laser tag, beer and good food!
Bring your kids, bring your wives, bring everybody because it's that much fun. Family friendly with an arcade for the kiddos and two bars for the grown-ups. Come have some fun at one of the best options outside the city without going 30mins.
Zone 28 was a blast for our 20/30 Somethings group from church. I was skeptical that it would be 'too young' for us but it was great. The bowling was fun, pizza was great and our highlight was laser tag, we definitely could of played another game or two. Thanks so much!
We bowled for 2 hours with 10 people in 2 lanes for $81.00. That is such a deal. They were so accommodating to our younger 1st time bowlers. Great place for fun.
My spouse and I had our first date here. We started with a couple of drinks and had a blast with the arcade games. Then we had a really great dinner at the onsite restaurant. Fun place for adults to let their inner-child out.
The place is fun. Pizza is good. Kids had a blast. However, we didn't realize we were paying by the hour and 5 games of bowling cost us 70 dollars...
This place is disgusting None of the bathrooms had toilet paper or soap The place stinks of weed I had two beers from the bar and both had some different object inside. One looked like lettuce and the other a piece of paper towel
This place has its own zone unique and crazy fun
Zone 28 is great fun! I went there for a friend's birthday party and had such a good time. Our server Britney was awesome! She was very attentive and even took some wonderful photos of us in front of the lanes. I will absolutely be going back.
My friend and I went there for our birthday and it was so much fun we did laser tag and played games. The employees are so fun and nice to talk to.
Looks can be very deceiving, especially in the Bowling area. It all looks very nice, until you get up there and look around. It's not very clean, the floor before the approaches was dirty, stuff all over the floors. And no it would not be from the previous people that were there just before us, as we were the first group there for the day since we got there shortly after they opened up for the day. If you actually know how to bowl, and slide when bowling, you can forget about it, the approaches are filthy
Waited over 10 minutes at our table with no service. No one said anything except sit where you want. They did not appear busy in the restaurant. Disappointed.
Went last night for a friend?s birthday party. I haven't been here since it turned from FunFest into Zone28 but I had heard amazing things about it. Didn't have to wait long for drinks even for a Saturday, bowling line was long but it's a weekend so don't expect a quick wait time lol. Got to the lanes, super nice! I was confused where to get bowling balls so I just used the ones that were already there. Love the new design & bathrooms were nice as well. Four stars just because things were kind of expensive
Great bowling alley for groups. We had a big work team outing 30ish people and it was really nice. We didn't check out the arcade but it seemed nice. The Tesla chargers were awesome ??
This place is so fun and a good place to bring ur kids of all ages??and affordable. Bowling and arcades and good food??????
This place would be a perfect date night. You can get an hour of bowling and $28 credit for the arcade for $20 at the moment. Had a fantastic time and the food was delicious!!
Nice arcade with some nice games. Prizes are your typical prize type nothing special unless you have 50,000 or more tickets. But the kids had fun so that's what counts. The only bad part was waiting to make a drink order (2 sodas and 1 draft beer) was about 15 minutes. Then when we went to eat here it took just as long for a waitress to take a drink order and then another 10 for a food order ( there was only 2 other tables with people in the restaurant at this time). Then the appetizer came with our meals?
Overall it is not bad. We booked the whole suite for about 50 people. The suite has 8 lanes and an independent bar which is great. However, we then found that 8 lanes were not enough and they did not provide bowling shoes for people in the suite. The game price in the lounge is also too high and I personally did not find any interesting games there. Car racing games are old and basically all other games, such as basketball shooting, fps, skee ball, and etc, end in 2 minutes, making them just not worth the
A real fun place, great for kids and adults.
It's okay, if you like that diet of things. Loud, neon, Lord of screaming kids. It's great for large gatherings. The food is okay, on par with Eat N Park. The bars are excellent with a huge selection of bottles
We bowled as a family and had a great time. Enjoyed the music with videos and afterwards spent 2 hours in the arcade.
Had a wonderful time celebrating my grandson's 5th birthday. The birthday bowling pin was a nice touch.
Really fun stop right off the highway. Great place to stretch your legs and play some games!!
Great place for a kids party. Love the bowling and video game selections.
Took the whole family, had a wonderful buffet in the Rail Restaurant. Alex our server was so awesome!!! From the time we arrived till we were done she took such good care of us. She made our family feel so important!!! Whatever they pay her they should triple it. She makes you want to keep coming back, so professional!!!
Took my client to zone 28 for an outing. We watched everyone bowl, listened to music the food was good. Nice environment for family fun or companies looking to take their clients out for the day.
Was an amazing place to hang out. The food wasnt the greatest but that's not the reason we all went! Lanes worked great didnt have any issues bowling, fast and friendly service all around. Decent size arcade with plenty of games to play. The prize selection was somewhat lacking but it was more geared towards kids. One of the best lazer tag rooms I've personally visited before and the escape rooms are awesome and well setup
Overpriced for the lack of service. Only go all night bowling or you'll pay $40 for 2 hours and dont even try to order food. Placed an order for a pizza and it wasnt even done by the time we were finished. Last time I went the lane waitress only gave us straws we never got our water. Idk if they're lacking employees but they need to get their sh*t together.
We had a surprise 13th birthday party for our son there and the host was absolutely amazing she was so kind and so sweet. She never rushed us and was always so helpful. I would definitely have another party there and request that same host. My son and all his friends and family had so much fun. Thank u to our host ( wish I could remember her name ) u made my sons day just all around perfect.
Very good mixture for youth and adults. Food was good drinks for good in a bowling lanes were in great shape
Such an amazing place with lots to do! Everyone is very friendly as well. The escape room was so interactive and has a well thought out story! The detail and everything is absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend trying out the escape rooms! It's a great challenge!
The things to do here are nice but almost every person who worked here that I encountered was rude or had an attitude it didn't feel like a warm fun or inviting environment at all. I ordered $10 drinks that tasted like there was nothing in it so I paid $20 for a double still nothing. I probably won't come back here after today. Over priced and the people who work there seem miserable.
Was going to take my kids to bowl for a fun day out. Looked online and 55 dollars an hour! To bowl! Doesnt even include shoes! Save your money and go to Wildlife lanes in Lower Burrell or Deer Lakes Bowl in Cheswick! 6 bucks a game! This place is way overpriced and over-rated!
The bowling was fun. My food was good. Our waitress was terrible. The runner brought our food. She didn't even come back to see if we needed anything. One of the couples in our group didn't get their food until everyone was finished eating. The waitress should've come over to explain why the food wasn't there. We were ready to order another adult beverage. We didn't cause she was handing out checks. Some of us were still eating. I'll give the bowling part 5 stars The food 5 stars The waitress 1 s
Our family rented the VIP room for bowling to honor one of our own. There are about 8 lanes. They served pizza, salad and drinks. Then those who chose to went to another room to play laser tag. They all came out exilerated and laughing.
I've tried hard to keep Zone 28 in the bar/restaurant rotation for variety?s sake. It's just not any good. No matter how busy, bar service takes forever. The servers are often engaged in their own conversation and actively ignore customers. The food is lackluster. In a nutshell I'd call it a bad restaurant with overpriced bowling. But to give them credit, they have decent parking.
This place is AMAZING for birthday parties! We went all in with chaos, a double birthday, with one kid doing an escape room with her friends followed by a laser tag party with my younger child and her friends. When timing was messed up from late arrivals to the escape room they managed around it, moving the laser tag games back. They kept it running smoothly and were super helpful and accommodating and I would HIGHLY recommend this place for parties. All the kids had SO much fun and can't wait to go back.
I had an awesome time with my friends . We bowled played bumper cars and laser tag. I love the new look since they changed the name from Funfest ??????
Had a birthday party in may for my son, spent a bunch of money, got him this little bracelet thing that he's supposed to get a bunch of games with which barely worked, when we asked for help with it, was treated like I'm stupid and summarily dismissed? my kid of course being 8 didn't want to fool with it, he wanted to play with his friends so he wound up using a card and I was told we could just come back anytime when we had more time and it wasn't so hectic and use the credits on the bracelet? so whatever,
Had a good time, but it is understaffed. Pretty much like every place else right now. But they could of cleaned off the tables that had piles of dishes and leftover food.
I was there for a birthday party for a grandsons friend. The party was run well, and the kids had fun. Otherwise the place is a zoo. Kids running wild in the arcade area with not much parental supervision. Pizza was decent but I thought drinks at the bar were a little expensive
Bowling and gaming in an energetic festive environment. Live music with back yard games are in an outside area. Sports bar inside that plays music videos along side local Pittsburgh sports. Shout out to Megan S. our bartender who greatly enhanced our visit. Food quality is way above your run of the mill bowling alley. If are not smiling while visiting Zone 28 then you need an undertaker.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
