Customer Reviews

The environment was welcoming, the staff friendly, and the experience worth every dollar. I brought my 2 God daughters in and at first they were apprehensive about a video game place but eventually got really into it. We also picked up some Pokemon cards for $1. I do want to mention one staff member, didn't get her name, but she kept the girls so entertained and talking and she was very friendly to them and it made them more at ease with the place. I really loved the old school game set ups and the video ga

Friendly staff. Worth the money. There were a few arcade games that were not working when we went but no one else was playing so it was definitely worth our time. Street parking. $7 all you could play on most games. Some were 25 cents or 50 cents. Good family entertainment.

The price to play all day is great. The games are ok. Some of them were never popular games but some were. The smell was a bit off though. Some fresh air in there would be nice.

An absolutely fun place for table tops, card games, and video games alike! I can confirm that this place is not for people with limited mobility type disabilities.

As a 1980s kid, I find this place super cool, I could stay here all day. The old large arcade machines from my childhood are here, and they are set to free play and unlimited lives. So much cool stuff you can do! Additionally, there's a couch room with almost all the consoles and games here as well. It's cheap, super neat blast from the past! Thanks for being here.

The staff are friendly, and if they don't have it they can get it. The video games definitely made me nostalgic, the room with all the consoles is like the coolest basement setup you dreamed of when you were a kid. Plus they have tournaments and roleplaying onsite. Something for everyone.

Zap arcade has been a go-to entertainment choice for our family for years and we still love it! The staff has never failed to be friendly, knowledgeable and patient. They have an excellent set of vintage video games and a great inventory of new and used nerd-ery of all varieties. For anyone interested in Pokemon, I would particularly recommend their weekly (Saturday) Pokemon event.

Stellar service!! Arcade, huge comic book selection, Trading Card Game events, first edition Pokemon stash, large selection of classic game cartridges, and the staff and owner go way above and beyond what I would expect! They also service old game consoles right in front of you and will also not charge you if they can fix it without having to do a deep cleaning. This place is second to none and the Most Known Unknown definitely worth a stop, and for $7 you can play all day on all their arcade equipment who

I brought my 13 year old son here and 7 of his buddies on his birthday. They all had a BLAST playing the old school games. It was a cool chill place for the boys to hang out for a couple hrs. They also have snacks and soda for sale, which was perfect for some teenage boys until we got home for supper. We will definitely be going back to Zap.

The staff is really friendly. The atmosphere is very chill. Great place to buy comics

I can't say enough good things about Zap, my youngsters love going there, the owner is a stand up guy

Stopped here with boys .. the owner was super friendly and kids had a blast. Wish life was still as simple as these arcade games !

This place is amazing. I asked about Magic cards that might be good for my son to learn the game, and he handed me two unopened starter decks for free. The arcade games were all in great shape and a good time. I only wish they were open more often so I'd have more opportunities to go!

Awesome old school arcade place with Pokemon cards and other collectables.

Not a lot of places around these days that can simulate a 1992 Circus Pizza experience, but this place does it. Only bummer is that Time Crisis 2 and X-Men both had 1 TV screen not working, and those are two of the best games. Still, for $7 all you can play on most of the games, this is a great way to spend an afternoon / evening.

We were greeted when we walked in, super friendly and kind. It was our first time there and they explained how the arcade and games work. Very welcoming and friendly, will definitely stop in next time we're in the area.

Zap Arcade in Jordan is an awesome store! The people there are always welcoming, friendly, and conversational. They have a great selection of comics, trades, figures, and more! They have an arcade set up, so it's a great place to hang out and enjoy some retro gaming.

This place was awesome! Helped me with everything I needed to find that I wanted to buy. Super nice and curtious. The arcade is super cool. It's a flat fee at the door and you can play almost all the arcade games for as long as the store is open. There are only two machines that require quarters. Great place! 10/10

Been going here almost two years.. Always feel welcomed; commander nights are a blast. Best prices on magic cards compared to any other card shop ive been to in Minnesota! A must go to..

Attended the "Nerder" All-night event, first event I've attended here. Everyone was very welcoming, space is very unique, we had a lot of fun playing arcade games, Magic sealed events, various other competitions for prizes. They are Always very helpful when I have questions, always ready to help you build your deck for magic, or talk about your favorite games! I can't wait to come back, and participate in more events!

It was fun. A wide variety of fighting games from different eras. All the normal cool games from the 90's. There is a chill room just for console games and that was cool. Definitely worth the trip and price.

Zap Arcade has a unique setup of a retro arcade games (loved that they had Kangaroo and Double Dragon), a lounge of retro consoles, and a nice area of comic book and collectables. The owner was very kind and treated us with hospitality. Looking forward to our next visit!

This place is so great! We wanted to just take a look at the place since they were scheduled to close 15 minutes later, but they let us play since they were hosting an event that night. Super nice and helpful workers! $7, and you play all day. I just wish I lived closer.

Great spot in historic downtown Jordan. It is in a nondescript green building on the main Street. You walk into to a comic book, magic card shop of old school proportion. After you pass through the main room there is a larger room off to the side crammed full of vintage arcade games, a couple pinball machines, an airhockey table, and small room with vintage console games. N64, Sega, GameCube, PS3, NES, and several others. The video games and arcade games are a flat rate of $7. There are a couple games

I expected very little from the outside, but this arcade is a prime example of doing a lot with a little. They only had around 20 machines, three of which were multicades, but it was a fascinating lineup. For a game list that was obviously put together on a budget, it has a lot of variety and unconventional picks. I've been to well over 100 arcades and there were still a few even I hadn't seen before (Dragon Breed is one of the most unorthodox shoot-em-ups I've ever played and it was amazing). It's also the

Cool little place. For a few bucks you can play all the arcade games you want for a couple hours. It is also a Game store as well as a comic store, not a huge selection but it's well worth at least checking out.

Beau is the bees knees, all the staff are awesome! They have something for everyone!

Great store, staff, and owner(s). Great vintage collection of arcades. My son showed interests in a card game, and they took him in under their wing to show him the ropes. It's a rare experience.

Very casual place, an interesting and different experience. Very good prices, and lots of games. Many games are broken however. In addition, card prices are very good, especially pokemon cards.

This is the most fun I've had in a long time, for only 7$ do you get to play video games all night! Its the bomb! Really great friendly service as well!

Cool place to check out if you like arcades, comics or card games. People working there are really nice and helpful. Some of the cabinets are a bit worn down and some don't work but kinda to be expected with arcades.

Man this place is cool!!! They had so many classic games that I didn't think I would ever see again! Went here for a kids b-day party and we had the time of our lives!!

Visited this in hopes of a great arcade experience. It was like someone set up a card shop for there friends. Many arcade games were broken and someone was asleep on a couch. Not very inviting.

Fun arcade as there are not many of these anywhere. However the games are lacking and the pinall games are not included in the reasonable $7 cover charge. Fun none the leas.

$7 buy in then unlimited play on a variety of old skool arcade games. Also had foosball & air hockey tables. A fun place in a cool old town.

Awesome place! Lots of great arcade games, multicades, and consoles to play on. They also sell video games, comics, merchandise, and have gaming events.

Great little shop , it is very limited but it's a small town so ?? .

Amazing arcade, but the store is a gamble.

Knowledgeable team, great selection and pricing. Fun for all ages!

I took my son there for his birthday and we loved it. Price is right, and I finally beat the X-men arcade.

Pokemon cards and arcade. Great for little kids and adolescents

Has some really awesome games!! The staff on the comic book side are super knowledgeable and helpful!

Cool old time games and some more modern. If you ever want to go and play some magic this is the place to go

Amazing fun inexpensive great family arcade with throwback games. Best in Minnesota !

did not have a ps5 to sell me but other wise fine. i have a right to my opinion

If you win a prize they kick you out! It's a company policy

Loved this place!! It was super cool! Will probably go there again

Fun place to go. Cheap too. Packed with a veriety of games.

Sad that you get kicked out due to company policy once you win a prize from the giant claw machine.

A lot of games didn't work. But then you would pay and they have to pay again for some games. I didn't understand that. I thought is was no coins.

Cool place for young kids to hang out and have fun!!

Great place to hang at for a couple hours. Low price also.

Best games vr old shooter game very best try it out

Great place to spend your afternoon with the kids

They have the old video games, like pac-man!

Great place for gaming and fun. ??

For all your Pok?mon and magic card accessories

Great place. Good people.

Nice mix of the joys of my childhood

An experience that was fun

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
