A downright magical place of awesomeness! Retro video games, karaoke, boardgames, guitar hero room, d&d, Warhammer, and the most badass Gaming room you've ever seen. Super friendly and helpful customer service it'll feel like you've hanging out with ar cool buddy's house. Worth the affordable price of admission and you're welcome to get a tour if you want to check it out first.

It had a cool stranger things vibe. I was born in the 80s and it brought back so many good childhood memories.I want to go at night, it would look so cool with the lighting. I brought my son age 9 daughter 14 and they played for two hours straight and said they would want to go back. I recommend this place.

What am awesome place. So relaxed and layed back. The owner is so nice. Tons of things to do. We will definitely be back soon, even though I live an hour away. Thank you to the owners. What an amazing concept to turn an old bank into. P.S. I left the white cheddar popcorn today. I hope you enjoy and share ?.

I had a birthday party here for my step son and everyone was amazing! He had a great time! Ray did an amazing job DMing the adventure for us! I have taken 3 kids in and there were plenty of games they enjoyed. Mae was super helpful and we appreciated them so much! I have also went on a date there and it was so much fun! Jen had recommendations for us and we loved it! I would highly recommend anyone stopping in there! Ray, Jen, and Mae are amazing and it's such a great place for Butler!

What a great idea! Many different varieties of games, lots of tables to sit and play board games, friendly staff, great prices, great environment. Located in a super old bank which adds to the unique experience.

I absolutely love YPB, the hosts were amazing. The entire place is outfitted with old school memorabilia. They offer a very wide variety of tabletop games as well as a massive collection of video games from Atari to PlayStation. There are also a number of arcade games and other games as well. I will absolutely be going back again.

I don't usually bother with Google reviews but felt YPB deserved one. I really appreciated how this place was run and the general vibe. I came with my 3 sons who range in age from 10-19, and there was plenty to interest all three of them. We are not heavy into gaming culture so we were wondering if it might be intimidating, but it wasn't at all. The guy staffing the counter was really friendly, he welcomed us and gave us the overview of the place and answered our questions. We enjoyed the retro arcade game

Whether you're a seasoned board gamer, a pro dungeons & dragons and/or ttrpg player or just starting out and wanting to learn- this is the place for you! This is true for both kids and adults. Owners Ray, Jen, and May are so incredibly welcoming and warm to everyone that walks in. They have an amazing vision for their super unique and comfortable space. I have no doubt that the community they are building with Your Parent?s Basement is going to be fun, inclusive, and long lasting. Even if you live in Pittsb

A+. Ray and his team are incredible. Go there, spend time, buy some stuff, and enjoy everything he has to offer. Will be back thanknfor the tour sir. Congratulations and kudos to all you do!

Me and my fiance visited them for our date night last Sunday. Got to say this place is absolutely amazing. I've never been good at D&D but the D&D room looked spectacular. I loved the arcade area, and just overall the vibes were amazing. The owners seem like really cool and down to earth people. We plan on going back soon and bringing more people with us. I definitely recommend everyone to check this place out, you won't regret it.

This place has something for everyone, from video to tabletop to role play! It looks like your parent's basement, but is situated in an old bank. I love the vibes!

This place is amazing. From the bookcases stacked with board games (thoughtfully categorized!) with plenty of seating & tables, the mini arcade & and emulator for older video games, to every living room knickknack & collectible from your 80?s childhood, the whole downstairs is a relaxed & fun place to hang out. Or bring some friends and head upstairs for an incredibly gorgeous tabletop experience in the built out former bank board room or the Rock Band room with a ginormous song library. Not a gamer? Bring

Wow...wow isn't enough of a word to describe this place. First, lets talk about the owners. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and within a minute it felt like we were talking to our new best friends. They took the time to tell us about the place, some of their future plans and offered to let us look around the place before we bought our passes. Already having decided before arriving we grabbed our all day passes (not required but once you see they have to offer you will probably decide on that too)and th

Held a work event here for about 15 people. We rented the Board Room which is such a cool concept. Jen did an excellent job facilitating a murder mystery game for our group. We then ended the night with Karaoke. The venue is unique and well done, the owners are incredibly nice and welcoming. We ran out of time to adequately explore all they had to offer, but it is a lot! Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Coolest place in Butler County! The vibes in here are immaculate, the games are fresh and super fun, the atmosphere is fresh out of the 80s, and the employees/ owners are the coolest people! Such an inviting place, and easy to feel right at home. It's crazy to think this place used to be a bank, but I feel like when I walk in I'm so comfortable. They have taken this idea and really ran with it, I love it and hope they stick around forever because I am a life-long customer!

My son had a decent 2 hour visit there however I found the owners to be judgmental. My son originally went in with his sister. we didn't know they needed a parent. I went back in with him and we were unsure of how to pay, stood there a while until the owner came over. He acted confused why we were there i said he was just there to play we weren't sure where to pay- he said he felt some type of animosity coming from me. I was just trying to get my son paid for and go to enjoy shopping at moon markets- he ac

My husband and I absolutely love hanging out at YPB. We're huge game nerds and they have a huge variety of games to pick from. There's something for all ages and all gaming interests. They have a great selection of strategy and thematic games for those who enjoy that like we do. The Rockband room is super fun. I can't wait for them to expand to the escape room too. The owners are incredibly cool people.

This place is so awesome!!! It's a great place to have a team meeting or any meeting because there's an awesome board room. Plus it's a great place to go and hang out with friends. There are so many different events they have. If you like playing video games and/or board games you definitely need to visit. I've played a ton of board games here that I've never heard of and have had such a great time. Everyone there is the best! They make you feel so comfortable and are always there to help. The atmosphere is

Great concept at a fun location. I am glad this is in Butler. The only issue I had was with the cleanliness of the place. There were a lot of dust bunnies and food on the floor, and the bathroom could definitely use a deep cleaning. Also, the lock on the bathroom door didn't work properly so members of the group had to stand guard to prevent unwanted intrusions.

what a cool store! a converted old school bank with the 4? thick 1960?s giant vaults, cozy living rooms each set up with 1980s box tvs but with nintendo and other systems set up and available to play! so inviting and fun / that's the coolest store i?ve visited in years, and just 6miles from the space ship toy store on rt. 8. a perfect 1-2 punch!

Our company did a murder mystery event here and it was so much fun!! Jen and Ray are the nicest people on this planet. I can't wait for my company's next meet up so we can come back. Karaoke was so much fun too!!!

Excellent hangout with an abundance of TTRPG books/resources. Bathroom is always clean; and the upstairs area is kept pristine, ready for our D&D group. With a membership available that's more affordable than any other club in town (or within the Greater Pittsburgh Area), activities available all week long, and plenty of good people - this is a great hangout spot for anyone of all ages.

The staff and owners are some of the nicest people you've met. The place is gorgeous, and they integrated the historical features of the bank this user to give it such a unique feel. The atmosphere is welcoming and bright. There is an overwhelming selection of things to do.

The staff has been nothing but polite and respectful towards us in the numerous encounters that we have had there. It is a great place for family and children. Additionally the patrons there, though diverse in background, have to a person been kind and respectful in every interaction that my family and I have had. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This place is amazing. Not only does it look cool and have a wide variety of things to do, the owners are incredibly creative and are constantly introducing new things, like arcade cabinets, rock band, board games, and maker stuff. There is also an active Discord server if you can't always make it out to the space itself (guilty). Additionally, if you are a woman, youth, LGBTQIA+, POC, or other marginalized identity, this is an incredibly safe space with zero tolerance for bad comments or behavior. And

literally the best place ever, wish i had one in my hometown. staff was super friendly, helpful, and kind, and they had SO MUCH to do and it was all in great condition and really enjoyable. would definitely reccommed the kareoke + guitar hero. i would literally move to Butler for this place.

This is an amazing community space! The owners are wonderful people who truly care about making a warm and inviting place for everyone. Their board game library is my favorite part!

Nestled in this magnificent location, you'll find a haven for relaxation, socialization, and entertainment - all in a secure, enjoyable, and exhilarating setting. Everyone is welcome here, and you'll find the staff and owners to be amicable, sociable, and well-versed in a variety of domains, always eager to help you find your place in this vibrant community. Whether you're looking to unwind, meet new people, or engage in fun activities, this spot has something for everyone.

This place is pretty fricking cool, they let you do a tour for free so there's no excuse not to check it out!!

Have you ever dealt with a place or product so bad, you're viscerally frustrated you're unable to leave zero stars? Or even negative stars? As Seinfeld might say, "What's the deal with that?" Your Parent's Basement is the precise *inverse* of that experience; it's an eclectic experience in social gaming that literally anyone can enjoy, from grizzled grognards to a kid's birthday party - and all of it ensconced in a visually arresting repurposed bank building. It's BYOB, BYOF, and there's drinks available

Great experience for what's going on here, visit to retro game or just have a great space to relax with friends

The owners are so welcoming, and they perfectly blend their love of all games with brilliant, gorgeous, thoughtful design.Your Parent's Basement is an amazing "third space" where you could easily get so comfy and caught up exploring and playing that you lose track of time. There are cozy little details everywhere, theme nights, craft classes, snacks, power tools, really something for everyone. Definitely check it out and spend some time there.

So much to do here with very friendly staff! Over 200 board games, retro gaming, rock band, karaoke, trrpg rooms, 3D printers.

Excellent Venue with lots of fun activities to do and managed by caring and enthusiastic owners! Has a variety of boardgames, wargames, video games, and roleplaying games for every type of person. Additionally, will also showcase fun events and in the future an escape room! Its certainly a gem and shouldn't be missed! Residents of Butler have been ecstatic for a venue to have fun for all ages, and travelers shouldn't skip this either! 10/5 such a great place to visit!

Another great addition to Main Street Butler! This is a really unique spot to hang out for anyone looking to play some board games and everything else they have to offer. The staff is energetic and really friendly. I'm really looking forward to introducing my friends and family to this place. I hope the community supports Your Parents Basement. Main Street can always use more unique businesses like this one!

Absolutely epic. Check it out! Took me back to a time lost but will never be forgotten.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I have pretty severe social anxiety and they helped me feel right at home. They didn't hover at all and they were available at all times if the need arose. Great place to hang out, try some games, and maybe make some friends.

Just in case someone doesn't have Facebook and won't be able to see all the amazing (and well deserved) reviews: The absolute coolest spot Butler has to offer! Rey, Jen, and Mey are all so super inviting and helpful and everything they have done with the space just blows me away! Everything is gorgeous, well thought out, organized really well! A daily pass doesn't cost much at all, but trust me when I say my husband will easily get his money's worth from a season pass! The best part about this whole place

"Unique place run by incredible people" is how I describe YPB to friends. It's a safe place where gaming nerds (wargaming / board gaming / tabletop-RPG, etc) and craft nerds (3-D printing, mini painiting, knitting, clay, etc) can socialize, learn from each other and play with (or against :-) ) each other. There is no other place like this in the area. As an RPG nerd, I really enjoy their collection of current and obscure RPGs. Sometimes it's fun to just sit down with a cup of coffee and read through som

Excellent space for any reason. We had a work party and spent the day there and there were so many games to play I'll HAVE to go back. Board games, retro video games, anything you can think of. Relived my childhood playing NES, SNES, Atari, Gameboy, and PS1 games. Highly recommend, they even have a D&D war room which is awesome!

Extremely Nice! The employees are super friendly and helpful, and a place where anyone of any age would enjoy. Also quite cheap! 10/10 would come again!

This place is awesome. If you have any interest in gaming of any kind, your parents basement has a place for you. Video games, board games and table top RPGs are all here and the staff are incredibly welcoming as well. I will be returning and hopefully becoming a regular here!

This place is amazing, my wife and I love the D&D nights and crafts. It really is so welcoming, YPB has become like a second home.

Sooo many board games here ! A fantastic setting g for ALL your board games needs and wants. Limited food and drink on site, but Butler Breworks and Domino's Pizza are right across the street. How convenient is THAT ?!!!

A group of friends and I played D&D in the boardroom with one of their DMs. Fantastic ambiance and phenomenal DM. We all had the best time and will definitely be back.

Can't wait to visit again! So much fun & such a great atmosphere!

the staff here was very rude. would not let a 60-year-old diabetic use the restroom. you insist on defamation of character. you insist that I was drunk and that is a lie as I do not drink. You are free to screenshot whatever you please as I am free to post my opinion and all you are doing is making A veiled threat. I am breaking no law by posting my opinion. you somehow convenientlyforgot that Ray put his hands on me. what do you have to say about that.

Please do by and see what Ray, Jenn, and Mae have done to preserve and restore this amazing old bank into a creative space for gaming, art and social spaces. If I lived here I would definitely visit often.

There's something for everyone here. You'll meet exciting, new people. Maybe get into new hobbies with one of the classes. Overall, it's one of my new favorite spots to hit up weekly.

Incredible atmosphere, viuals and vibe. Stranger Things meets Dexter's Labratory meets Critical Role set.

This place is sick! Has plenty of retro games and board games and even has a room dedicated to rock band!

Super fun amazing employees and super nostalgic for me and my aunt! Had a fun time and definitely recommend for a place to study and to just have some family fun!

We love this place! It's a family friendly location full of nostalgia for all ages. The staff is beyond friendly ?

An amazing space operated by fantastic human beings. Tons of board games to play, new hobbies to explore, and loads of things to do.

The best customer service, awsome place, really cheap and cool, I'm hoping to play dnd there soon!

Omg this place is the cutest!!!!!! Met the owners!!! They are sooooo nice and helped my daughter and I explore this adorable establishment!!! It's a can't miss!!!!

Great job renovating the old bank.ade a fun inviting space. Plenty to do for everyone.

I was the first person to rent the DnD room. The dm had an amazing setup.

This place is awesome and the owners are good people who care about the gaming community. Will be back for sure!

Very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely will return for events!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
