?? Xscape Arcade ? Double the Arcades, Double the Fun at MOA ?? At Mall of America, the Force is strong with XSCAPE Entertainment?not one, but two arcades await your arrival! One near the M&M store on the ground level, and another outside the South Food Court. ?? And yes, Jedi and Padawans rejoice?your game card works at both! Buy it once, and your credits, tickets, and victories travel with you across both locations like a lightsaber through the darkness. ?? Game Credit Wisdom: With most games between 6

some of the claw machines have such loose grips it's almost impossible to get anything. that being said, i did win 3 times but some of the machines just don't seem like they'll ever pay out (coming from a claw machine fan with many wins under my belt). overall, had fun and enjoyed the coconut tossing game more than i expected to

Not mad at this location, it was solid. Most of the video games worked. the ones that didn't had communication written on it. This location has potential to be a major destination. Not sure how its managed, but it could use an upgrade in a lot of its attractions. It's a great place to take your young kids and let them run around and get their fill, older teens and young adults may get bored with the selection. An additional investment in this space could take it to a prime location. Especially with the foot

Fun experience! Very clean and well maintained machines. Lots of variety some high quality ones. We were there for about an hour and didn't see any disinfecting, I'm not a huge clean freak even walking by spraying with Lysol would be effort. Package deals reasonable and cost per game little high but not outrageous.

Xscape Entertainment Center is one of a must go list if we visit Mall of America. First get your card. You can use either cash or credit card. Your kids can ride and race motorcycle, drive and race, build a high rise building, play basketball, and get coupons cumulative in your card. After we're done playing, we can exchange our coupons with toys, candies, or some interesting stuffs.

I met Bruce and Jenna today 11-27-24, and they were extremely kind and patient with my 13 yr old Autistic God-Son! They were so nice and made my God-Son soooo happy. You want to have fun with your family? This is the place to take them!! My God-Son did not want to leave! Thank you Jenna and Bruce for your kindness!

My son came in wanting to play a specific game that Game Works had (Game Works is now closed). This game used to be 4 credits at other places and here is 8 credits ($2 per play). While he had a nice time, the gentleman working behind the counter clearly doesn't want to be here as he simply plays in his phone behind the register. The place is pretty disgusting... Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. And there are almost no prizes that would be worth it to spend the money on ticket possibilities. When

I went here with my son and daughter and we had a BLAST! Great selection of games but what really sets it apart is the staff. Bruce went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. When we got there, he noticed my son was wearing a Minecraft shirt. He engaged him on the topic and gave my son specific game recommendations based on his likes. When we were done playing, he helped my children pick out the best prizes with their tickets. We go to a lot of arcades and Bruce?s service and knowledge really st

Half the games were out of order, the other half took 8-10 points EACH. My son worked so hard (and spent $45) to get 600 points and the redemption area was a joke. Here are some pics to show what is available for less than 1000 tickets.

This place was pretty cool shout out to Q he was the best st part of the experience. Took care of us and showed us such kindness that we will not forget. Wish there were more people like him around. Very nice employee. Definetly a spot to go and spend some time if you have nothing else to do. If you go to the arcade in nick universeyou gotta go here to redeem your tickets. Thank you so much again Q for making our sour experience due to the storm, into a memorable day that we appreciated all that much more.

You'd think with MOA closing down the big arcade on the 4th floor, they would put some extra effort and focus on making Xscape (the main arcade now) decent. Nope. I'd say roughly 1/4 of the games were out of order when we visited, and they wouldn't even turn the machines off or put signs on them saying so. So our kids would get all excited to play a game, then we go to scan the card only to have the card reader say "out of order". Not to mention, every single employee we interacted with acted as if they

Fantastic Customer Service. Bruce and Quinten are Awesome people. Both are amazing entertainers when in the booths downstairs and Great help when upstairs in the arcade. They made our visit one to remember. We thank you! Management was great as well, they helped out when we ran into an issue, and were helpful with making it right. Xscape, and the games in Nick U., are a must visit when at MOA!

Claw stole my little brothers toy weak claw equals bad outcome please get strong claw just the claw machine the rest of the games were cool

Clean and reasonably priced with every single game in working order! Get the Mall of America coupon book for additional credits. We had a lost purse and Ryan kindly offered to help us track a phone/review camera footage to locate it, but it was found right away. Kids had fun and all left with multiple prizes from tickets and claw machine games.

Great selection of modern games and they get new games often. One arcade on the 3rd floor and 2 Arcades in the amusement park area.

I had a great time taking my besties youngest to this place as a special treat for graduating grade school and may I say Bruce was exceptional. I would definitely want to come back.

We loaded a card then 5 minutes later they closed so our child was only able to play one game. We let the employee know that we live 5 hours away so won't be back anytime soon but she rudely said no refunds and just stared blank. Don't allow people to scan a card just to shut down a few minutes later. Thanks for taking our money. Would not recommend.

Having a great time with my wife and the guy came over and said they were closing and it was 9:25 pm and turned off our game. When I asked the girl what time they closed they said 9:25 which I knew was a bogus because no store closes at 9:25. They refunded my money for the game and the girl was very nice but cutting our experience short so they can leave early is not the way to provide a good customer experience. Hopefully these kids will learn how to treat customers and work with patience.

Worst experience of my whole trip. People working are rude and uninformative and also have zero customer service skills. Machine close down 15 minutes before the store closes and no one will let you know that. They will just take your money. When I complained there was an "oh well" response and apparently they dont care if employees are cussing at customers while there are children present. Super disappointed and hope they figure out how to respect customers. Cant even believe this place. I will never go ba

Some of the games took my money told the people at the counter and they did nothing

The guys behind the counter were terrible. There were multiple groups of people waiting to cash in their tickets but the guys behind the counter acted like no one was there... Even after making eye contact and speaking up. They just kept talking to each other. It's also extremely hot inside the place which lead to an unpleasant experience. I would never intentionally go there again. I could have wasted my money elsewhere and I wish I would have done so.

This was a fun arcade. My favorite games were air hockey, ski ball, and big buck hunter. My biggest complaint is that you use a card to buy credits vs putting coins in the machine. The credits are set up so you can't just use them up. You have to continously buy more.

My son and I went to Xscape today and the guy behind the counter, Bruce, brought a great attitude and sense of humor to work. We had a great time there!!!

While there were many games to choose from to play, many were malfunctioning and weren't paying out the correct ticket counts. The line was long at the redemption desk and there weren't workers available to assist customers beyond the desk. I recommend skipping this spot unless you're going just for fun and aren't worried about prizes.

Amazing arcade! Had great games and had TONS of fun! Your money and points are stored on a card similar to a credit card. To play a game, you swipe the card on the card scanner attached to the game. It will take the money, then once you finish the game, the points will be added automatically. When the points are added, it takes some time. The points count down on the screen attached to the card scanner, instead of being added immediately. You must wait until all points are added before you scan a card again

Games take way too many credits. The machines don't pay out the amount of tickets posted on the machines. According to my score I should have won 70 tickets, it paid out 0. Another machine said I should have won 30 but it only paid 3. Don't waste your money.

Xscape midway was so busy because there was only one worker Bruce working all the games but he was very friendly, attentive and was so kind to my son for his birthday! I hope when we come again, he's working!

Bruce is the man! Hooked us up helped out and took his time with it. Gave a lot of food recs around Minneapolis too

Came to the cities for a family weekend, played some games at the xscape entertainment center. We had some problems with one of the games when it was dispensing our price so we talked to the manager Rick. He was very polite and even though he had a lot going on that day he really made our issue a priority. Thanks so much Rick!!

Spent money buying credits even though the games were already closed, then was unable to refund them (both on cash and card). Its deceptive to sell tickets for something that is closed then be unable to refund.

Fun selection of games, I love it.

Worst arcade ever. Junkie machines and only half of them even work. Poor service and 20 bucks got me a plastic snake when I did decent at the games. Bad environment with boxes and trash everywhere. Please save your money their are plenty of other better things to do at the mall! Mall of america, please close this junkie place up.

I Love To Win Tickets

It's getting better lately, but has been struggling since the old go-to arcade closed. There's a reason this was the second arcade and not the first.

This is a fun place and the service is great. They are very funny and helpful

Waited at the ticket exchange counter for awhile they were slow and the worker seems to be too busy to help us out even thought he was doing nothing. His excuse was that he needed to watch the vr when the other worker was playing the vr. He seem annoyed for not getting to watch the vr. Very poor service.

Claims they don't own a broken arcade machine, sent me to MoA guest services, they said he is full of it. So use the games at your own risk because they won't give a refund and lie to you!

Awesome selection of arcade games and ticket games I played Mario cart gp with my friend Lindsay We each won one of the two we played My niece manged to go from over a hundred tokens to 21 while we played Mario She was trying to win big prizes lol Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed ourselves allot Definitely would visit in the future

Games are rigid to take double your credits specially claw games

Staff is very rude. i had to check my balance History and tell the receptionist twice that he did Merge of my cards incorrectly before he corrected it.. no apologies after the correction.. just cold stare.i dont go to play areas with an expectation that i need to do accounting!! disappointed YOU MAKE A MISTAKE , YOU APOLOGIZE!!

When I purchased a card, it charged my debit card 3x. I tried calling the number referenced here and was told I had the wrong number. Feeling like there is some sort of scam happening here.

Games never work Claw machine always out of order Employees are unprofessional

Overpriced I have no idea why this place even exist!1!

Spent $20 to get expired candy by a year! Took pictures and got no where with the manager. Do not have your kids pick a candy necklace!

Meh some arcades are money pits and this is one of them. $2.50 for a 15 second round of down the clown. Rip off.

So many broken machines. Plus, machines not labeled broken that don't work. Such a waste.

Arcade machines charged my card but didn't actually work. Not one person there to help, dirty arcade. Embarrassing

Games and more games summer fun after school fun weekend fun take your time growing up and have a little fun win some prizes and eat some treats enjoy your day at the Mall of America in one of many arcades on the second floor next to glow in the dark golf

The person behind the counter sat and stared while picking his nose for 4 full minutes. I decided to exit instead of playing games. That is nasty.

Take credits but no work

Worst arcade I've ever been in so expensive and claw machines are scams WILL NOT BE BACK

The claw games are set for you not to win anything. Claws are to weak to pick up anything. Stay away. Not worth your time and money

This place jacked up their prices... and the prizes aren't even worth anymore...

There isn't much in here but cool arcade.

Great gameroom, unfortunately closed due to covid.

Great hangout for teens while parents do shopping.

i love coming in here to play mario kart??

Great experience!!!????????????

Come here to play mario kart

(Translated by Google) An arcade with a variety of arcade games. In my case, some machines weren't working, unfortunately. For $30, you can play for about 30-40 minutes. Important note: There are two XScape arcades in the Mall of America. The lower arcade is located next to the theme park on the ground floor, and the other is on the top floor, right next to the food court. The card with the credit can be used in both arcades; the earned credits can only be redeemed in the upper arcade. (Original) Ein Arca

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
