Had my sons party here. Upon arrival the room was nicely set up and clean. The host Jacob was really great and helpful. Our party went well. The kids had a blast. I think the bathrooms could use more upkeep in cleanliness but it was a very busy Saturday. Overall, it was a great experience for my son and thats all that matters ??.

Party rooms for rent, and arcade on site. Games of laser tag in increments of fourteen minutes, but no instruction whatsoever on how to play, so it took two games to figure out that the blaster operates only if gripped in two hands! There is a section for smaller children, which includes go-karts and a climbing maze. Clean bathrooms and well-stocked vending machines.

Brought my daughter and three friends here for her 12th birthday. One of her friends just turned 13, so they wouldn't allow them to do the open play or the glow carts, only laser tag. Huge disappointment. The girl was rude about it too and didn't want to be bothered with us so she just walked away and had a coworker deal with us. So, I paid for unlimited laser tag since it's all they could do and after one game, a birthday party went in. Why did they even sell/have me pay for unlimited games if they knew th

We go to a few different indoor play areas on the island and this is pretty much my son?s favorite one because they have such a nice variety of activities. The kids can jump, climb through the jungle gym, play games, drive the bumper cars, play laser tag, and even bowl. There is also an inflatable slide that the kids can't seem to get enough of and the sweetest, most professional gentleman always manning it (at least on the weekdays). My favorite aspect though is that everything is so nicely spread out wher

Had a party here and everyone had a good time. It's great that they let you hang out after the party is over. Other places just kick you out right away.

Went to explore for a kids birthday party! Our kids had a blast. They gave an area in the back with a ton of things to do for my five year old like climb, jump and go down an inflatable slide. What I haven't seen at other jumpy houses/ kids play venues is a section for kids younger than three! There was a small section in the back where the smaller kids could play without the rough play older kids tend to engage in. The arcade area was small but had good games like the Jurassic park booth, air hockey, bask

I've been for a party and it was run efficiently and spaced out. The kids were able to experience the games, private laser tag, and inflatable / jungle gym. They had a great time . This place is CLEAN. I then went back for an open play and it was well staffed for $20 we played dodgeball, laser, tag and played in the arcade . This is a great place for cold winter day for my homeschool kids 5,7,9 to let some energy out . You can even leave grab lunch and come back !

Extremely understaffed and this company is taking advantage of the associates that are working here today at 3:30pm 11/2/24. The games are rigged to fail, and the prizes at the end are cheap candy or crayon with a high ticket price. Come on Xplore, let's stop ripping off children!

Bought a membership here for my 4 years old son. It's a great place to take him when the weather is bad! We had a great birthday party for him too. He loved it. However the place needs some repairs for some of the equipments. There is one stuff here who always keeps this place clean and organized. He was great. I won't recommend on a weekend when it's usually pack and it gets a little crazy with the parties and older kids!

Had a birthday party here. Everyone was happy. Everyone had fun. Ran well. Slight issues were originally first guest was told there was no birthday party with my kids first name but we solved that right away thankfully if not people might have left thinking it was the wrong spot. Go karts for 3 groups of 6 to go took maybe 45 mins that was a little painful. Host was awesome overall. Laser tag as mentioned below no instruction but the kids figured it out so that was fine. Minor things but could care less. Ki

Had my sons birthday party here on October 6 2024 .. best time for kids laser tag and jungle gym are amazing...Mike C. was a great host and great with the kids... Conan helped me organize party and helped with all my concerns.. great place for a party..

Went here for my nephews birthday party, and boy what a sweet place. First off the laser tag was one of the best arenas I have ever played in. Massive 2 floor, with tons of areas to hide out. Second the bounce areas and arcade were fantastic, the kids had so much fun playing the games and enjoying the massive bounce houses. Staff was 5 star and ready to help. Would highly recommend them !!

More then half the games in arcade didn't even work. They had nobody cleaning up and the tables were absolutely disgusting ..the go karts my son enjoyed as well as playground..staff sucked they all kids themselves . Was alot of open areas that should be blocked off to children were not ..smelled like dirty feet but that's to be expected with 100 barefoot kids..won't be going back to that place..hopefully the other location better

Great place. Staff was sanitizing as my kids were playing. Even better once they are in the main play room, there is only one door in and out. So if you end up like me and have 2+ kids and only 2 eyes, that helps alot.

Fun place to take your kids. My kids love this place Its clean and friendly staff

Xplore (both locations) and Safari have always been our go-to for open play and birthday parties for our children for years. Commack was always the easiest to manage with multiple children due to its layout, so was always a first choice for play dates. Unfortunately, unlike Port Jeff and Safari, the Commack Xplore has taken a turn for the worse. Even though the prices were increased, the equipment and staff leave much to be desired. So much of the equipment is damaged or missing, all of the upgrades made ar

It is ok. The other Xplore in Port Jefferson is MUCH cleaner and maintained. This location had many broken toys which is a safety concern, especially in the toddler area. The kids area is not cleaned frequently and the staff is not as engaging. This is a "run-down" version of the Port Jefferson location. Management needs to spend some time rehabilitating this location, so much potential missed.

Disappointed! It's really for kids 5 and under. It looks bigger in photos. The arcade machines barely worked. The workers were nice. The go karts and toddler zone were the only nice zones. If you do go expect to be there for 1 hour or less.

Good venue for kids birthday parties. Fun laser tag among other games. Multiple party rooms. One star dinged as there are no party hosts post pandemic.

Definitely Family Fun wait til you guys see what's in the back AWESOME place love the Glo Karts and they have vending machines and Beers ??. PRIME got that extra star ?? Thank you .

Great place for family, specially for the kids. They enjoyed a lot. Well worth going there from queens ??

Great laser tag arena. All around good experience for the kids. I would give it 4 1/2 stars. It's a bit pricey but so is everything else now.

Plenty of space for the kids to run around in the jungle gym, the glow carts are easy for a kid to control, and there is a good selection of games

Great place for the kids. We had our son's 6th birthday party there, and everything was perfect. The staff is very helpful and have great communication before our party. The Glow karts were the main reason we decided to have the party there, as 4 to 7 year olds can actually drive the go karts here.

Meh. Not good for under 3. Not much to offer and the games don't pay out enough tickets for kids to get anything, it's a money grab.

Conan was the best party host he had everything run so smoothly throughout the night and even helped me with my camera! The whole staff was great and the other manager Gonzalo was so friendly and amazing as well.

Cool place, lots of party rooms for birthdays, events or just regular parties. The laser rooms are pretty cool. They do have some games outside that work by swipe card and the points automatically go on your card so you don't get any tickets.

My son had a great time! He's 4 and he really enjoyed the laser tag, the go-karts which are made for smaller kids and the open play area. The place was well kept and I would say one of the more cleaner ones I've been to. But restrooms were ok. Not gross but just not that well kept. but it is a minor thing to overall.

I brought my daughter there for our first time today and she had such a great time. There was so much for her to do and by the the of the day she was absolutely exhausted. She even asked me if we could have her birthday party there this year. One way or another we'll definitely be back again.

Terrible! Our party was nothing but a disaster. Fire alarm kept on being set off and all guest had to be evacuated in the pouring rain. Happen 3 times! The fog machine in the laser tag room kept setting off the alarm. We were 45min into the party and the kids had done NOTHING other than spend the $6 card in 3 min. Manager was nice and looked extremely overwhelmed (also was my party host). I had to keep on looking for him, he was always busy dealing with other stuff and not attentive to my party. After compl

Very clean staff was young but everyone was happy and nice

It was cute until an army of 12 year olds decided they wanted to play in the toddler section with the attendant nowhere to be found and their parents glued to their phones. Told one of the attendants upfront and that did nothing so they got free labor out of me tonight correcting the kids kicking and punching each other

Needs a makeover. Very small everything arcades some machines were not working. My kids got bored after one hour. The open play portion can be much improved. Dont plan on going back. The only thing that was cute was the glow carts

We held our daughter?s birthday party here and we were underwhelmed to say the least. My wife booked the party here due to kids go-karts during the winter. When we arrived the go-karts evidently were not working. The facility is on the smaller side and the kids ran out of things to do quickly. The manager tried to make it right by giving us tickets to come back for the go-karts but nobody wants to return. While there was a small attempt to appease us I'd rather them provide us a small discount from the

This place is the worse place ever do not come here the staff has attitudes, they told up the laser portion is open at 3:30 then 4 pm my kids been waiting 45 minutes to go into the laser room. The timer keeps keeps restarting for the laser tag there's only one spot for toddlers spend so much money here and the kids that just come for fun are treated as second class. They need to have two separate times either am for birthday parties only then after open play or pm birthday parties and am open play!!!

It's very hit-or-miss. You have to get the right-sized crowd for it to be enjoyable. Also, there have been a few times when I went here and the vest/gun I got simply did not fire.

Every time we go to Commack location there are arcade games broken. For the price it costs to enter and then extra to play games it is very disappointing!

Very fun place. I take my kid a few times a month and he has a blast. Open play area is nice, has a solid video game area, claw machines, dodgeball and laser tag. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Well Worth the 23 bucks for open play

We just were at a birthday party there and a few weeks earlier took the kids to play. The staff was amazing and the place was very clean. Kids had a blast and the staff is very welcoming and very attentive. As a mother of 4, I was very pleased to know that they weren't forcing my young kids to wear a mask, and let the parents make their own decision as to what is best for their children. We will definitely be going back and supporting this business as we have in the past!

Let me preface this by saying i am writing this review from the parking lot after leaving. I came here with my son to see if he liked it so we could decide if we would have his birthday party here next month. We were pleasantly surprised with how much more this location offered over the port jefferson one. We had a great time for the hour we were there and at the end it was all abruptly ruined. We had purchased a game card at 5:45 and were aware they closed for a private party at 6 pm. Well by 5:58 we were

A lot of fun and nice staff. Not a huge arcade space but it's good and the play room in the back all the kids had a great time with that. Then there's the Lazer tag it was amazing everyone had a great time kids and adults.

I visited today with my family and Val, James and Juliana were extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. The kids loved every minute of being there and the experience was enhanced for me because of the very professional staff. Those three made the day super easy for me and I am appreciative!

Great place for kids

Good place for kids play.they have not large play area and not games but it's not bad

My 2 year old son had the best time! Great prices and very clean. The staff were constantly sanitizing the play area. My only complaint would be that kids over 3 were playing in the toddler zone. Children over 3 weren't supposed to be in that okay area. My so got trampled a few times.

We just had our 6 year old's party there and it was amazing! The laser tag was so fun, the kids all loved it. The girl who ran our party was very helpful, all of the workers were there to help keep the party organized and on track. The pizza was very good as well since it was from a real pizzeria and not a frozen pizza. We can't wait to go back again!

Lots of fun for the kids and adult kids Dodge ball Lazer tag arcade machines you really work up a sweat clean place friendly staff

Fun place for the kids to have fun. I'd say the major attraction is the laser tag. Kids like it and fun for adults. Only major issue I can see is the cleanliness of the bathrooms and lack of hand sanitizer in general areas. I've been here 3 different times and the bathrooms were not in the best shape. Last time I was there the soap dispenser must have come off the wall and was left sitting on the sink. I had to hold this heavy device to get soap out. Kids most likely didn't bother to wash their hands.

Clean , clean, clean! Went for the first time and the facility is top notch. Our 2 and 5 year old love it! The manager specifically asked if we needed anything which is beyond service. My kids can not wait to go back! Laser tag was awesome it did go down for a while but there was so much else to do. Dodgeball in the dark seriously how fun! Arcade was turned off do to state mandate and I appreciate them taking our safety seriously. Glad they are re-opened and can't wait for another family day of play!

Kids had fun running around. Did see staff sanitize a bunch over the 3hrs we were there. Disappointed that an adult bringing two kids (who paid for open play) has to pay $12 to do lazer tag with them. Especially since they were young and nervous to go in the dark lazer tag room alone, should've been understanding and let mom go in free with them. Staff was not friendly. Very expensive venue especially since they have no food or drinks except vending machines that charge $3 for a bottle of water.

Worst experience for my children. The facility invites people to come to the establishment but cant provide adequate code compliant parking that is required with no notice. Gamble worh your kids if you prefer but our experience is that this facility invites you to come and waste your time because you might not be able to physically access the building because their parking lot may not work.

The arcade looked cool, but we were there for my toddler and that area was disappointing... The room was dark and the loud club music playing didn't seem appropriate. Also, don't forget to wear socks or they'll get you for $4/pair.

Love this venue. The laser tag kept my kids busy and sweaty the whole time! Great place to spend a few hours to get away from the boring day to day stuff.

We went there for a late birthday for my son. A couple friends. Said no reservation was required. Open play all day. However go on a weekend be prepared. Even though there is no reservation they won't let you play lazer tag till after 4 because of the Birthday parties. So that was the main reason for going. We went 12 to 2. They need to state that on the website or state on the website to call ahead. Otherwise they had 2 or 3 birthday rooms. Arcade area. Dodge ball and a small kids area.

Excellent family fun center! The games and amenities were very enjoyable. My kids and party guest had a blast. Our host did a phenomenal job taking care of us and was very helpful throughout our event. I highly recommend this place for any family/ party event.

The staff was really friendly and efficient. Was very clean, even the bathrooms(which is hard to do in a place that caters to small children!) Gave 4 stars because the parking was difficult in the second lot.

This place use to be 5 stars. The employees, the fun to be had here, the cleaning and up keep of attractions is 5?'s, but charging more for a new addition to members in my mind is wrong. I was a member before, during, and after COVID. A policy should have been put in place so that they could still include members but charge for it as a seperate attraction. Something like members can't use during parties, high usage times, holidays, ETC. Even adding something like free on weekdays only would have been okay.

I have never before written a review but had to ? Beyond Horrible! Had my sons birthday party here and the service was unbelievably Terrible. Went into dirty room, with STICKY tables that I cleaned myself because the hostess was late. My shoes were literally sticking to the floor!!! (Not to mention we were a 10am party so they didn't clean up from the day before? I can only imagine a later party). Our hostess was MIA the entire time we were in the party room. Kids were not asked if they want seconds or wh

Went there for their 2022 Halloween party. The characters were great (especially spider man) and my kids had fun but the place was crazy packed, to the point of being uncomfortable and then at the end, some kids went home without goodie bags because they ran out? they sold tickets to this event, they had the total amount of kids and adults so I don't understand how they can oversee something as simple as the goodie bags. Lastly, men restrooms were nasty, puddles everywhere, no soap and a lot of scum in the

Had a great time at XPlore! My son is 22 mos so it was nice to see they had a toddler section, however I think every toddler eventually gets drawn to the big kid rides and pens. Their one big playpen is pretty sweet - it has an enclosed slide, netted bridge, ball area, army crawl, etc. Very padded, very clean, very safe, very fun! They also have a pretty big arcade area and laser tag, for those interested. I will definitely be back with my son sometime! The only thing you have to worry about is how up

OK overall. The worst part is that they want too much detailed information on your child. They want name, birthdate, address, etc for children and adults. Are they selling this information? Is it even protected? The under 3 area was full of kids ranging from 3 to 12 when I went. The workers don't say anything. They wrestle and punch and kick each other. Some of them almost kicked my child in the head. The workers don't say anything about that.

The birthday party schedule is: ~20 mins laser tag, 20 mins glow-karts, and 20 mins indoor playground, with the remaining time in the party room for pizza and cake, and then some free time at the arcade. Good for kids 5-14, though sweet spot is probably 6-10. For those of you still taking COVID precautions, when the AC is not running, indoor ventilation is poor, with CO2 around 2500 nearly everywhere.

Great place for toddlers and kids. I am an adult and had a blast running around with the kids. My baby is 9 months and was also able to enjoy some of the slides and the play area.

For the price of what they charge they can at least offer more hot foods not vending machines and not really worth it to go there Mayb for little kids but any kids older than 6 not ideal. I was better off going to urban air..so if you do go make the trip to the port Jefferson location one instead.

Went here for my niece's 4th birthday but could easily see kids up to 16 having fun here. They have private party rooms in the back, an arcade, indoor playground and dodge ball areas. Highly recommend for family or group visits the staff seemed very attentive.

Had my sons' 7th birthday party here and it was perfect. Ran around 2 rounds of laser tag, video games, food, cake and then dodge ball. Staff was great, very attentive and price was reasonable. Great time.

The Lazer tag was very good and advanced. The arcade is nice, not too fancy but still good. there is also a section of bouncy castles and go carts

Review Title: Disappointing Experience at Xplore I recently visited Xplore, drawn in by the allure of their vibrant claw machines, which seemed to promise a fun and rewarding time. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. Despite the machines being filled with an enticing array of prizes, it became apparent rather quickly that winning was nearly impossible. The claw machines at Xplore are misleading. The claws themselves are so weak that they can barely lift a feather, let alone the stuffed animals

If I could give more then 5 stars I would! First off I want to say how thorough they are with cleaning and sanitizing. They are clearly following the cdc guidelines and going above and beyond to make us feel safe and welcome. Every single staff member from the owner to the crew on the floor go out of their way to make sure you guys will have the best time ever. They are especially accommodating to special needs children. It can be hard and I easily feel defeated when taking my 4 year old son with autism

My daughter recently got invited to a birthday party at LazerLand and it was our first visit there. It was really awesome! Everyone had a great time at the party and even the adults got in on some of the fun. There is a ton of stuff to do there. Besides the obvious laser tag, there's a great arcade, a separate room where you can play dodgeball or play with nerf guns. They're also seemed to be other rooms and activities that we didn't get to explore during the party, but we will definitely be going back! Thi

I don't post often but I am absolutely disgusted with this business. This place is run by staff who have no clue how to handle customers. They are greedy and willing to charge you and take your money and in return deny dodgeball, laser tag, and even close the prize booth before their ?close time?. When asked if they would accommodate our small group, we were yelled at and told we were ?rude from the moment we walked in? when this is so far from the truth. They think since the owner lives out of state they

My first experience wasn't that great but decided to give it another shot. The Manager was Christy was so nice & totally made this experience so much better. The staff was constantly spraying lysol & making sure people were distancing. I will definitely be back with the kids again.

My son and his little cousin love this place it's a good time for the kids to occupy them and it's very reasonably priced. The only thing they're lacking food service if they sold pretzels and hot dogs and regular tap drinks like soda it'd really be doing well.

Place is not recommended! Insanely crazy women running around screaming at people's children for running in play areas. Frightening to see an adult go after children that are not hers. Staff was no help. They just followed the women around after issues arised with multiple parents. Additionally, children were allowed in the play areas with their leaky milk bottles. Very disappointed today and feeling bad for the person who was trying to enjoy their kids party.

Overpriced and rundown. The staff was inattentive and did not notice my party going to a back room. The laser tag is awful. Everywhere else I've gone the gun was responsive and aimed correctly. However, after checking with my other party members, the aim was indeed off and the guns were unresponsive. Additionally, some kids tried to push me down the stairs and kicked me while the staff didn't do anything. Never coming back to this sham of an establishment.

Great deal for unlimited laser tag. Just wish they would care more about the equipment. Some of the vests made noises and had lights and some did not. You definitely get what you pay for though!

We had our son?s 4th birthday party here. We rented it out just for us a private party. Worth every penny! Doing it again for his 5th!

Used to love this location but it has gotten extremely dirty. Was very disappointed in my last visit. The toddler section and the entire play area looks and smells like it hasn't been cleaned in months.

Great for little kids at an affordable price.

Had a birthday party here. Kids had fun but was expensive for such a short party. You feel rushed the whole time, super crowded on weekend, never again. Will come on weekdays when it's not overcrowded and the party just wasn't worth the money.

What a great place! They did a great job keeping shoes out of the play area showing their concern about safety. It was nice to see that they don't enforce illegal mandates. Love this place. Highly recommend!!

I'll make this as simple as I can. Your kids are going to have a blast and that's all that matters. Everything's fine quality wise the staff are normal human beings and overall it's just a great time for the money you spend

Xplore is awesome for a stay home mom like me who needs a place to go with her little. It's the most toddler friendly location of the 3. I do wish they would lower the music a little but for $18 for unlimited open play for my toddler, it's a go-to play stop.

Absolutely amazing must go place my son even be being a 40 years old are enjoying every single moment we are there. Recently I encounter problem with card for games it was not connected with account Manager Ms Lorraine she did every single possible thing to get my problem done she offered me new card for me to play games just based on trust system may a long story Short. Xplore commack are highly recommended to anyone it is based on experience. As well the front staff to manager they make sure that customer

I usually do not like kiddie birthday places but this party was well done. The laser tag is the coolest we have seen with 2 floors.

They rip You off... We had a private party and we were rushed out. I was over charged on the service fee. If I would have known my total bill was going to be about $700 I would have taken the kids somewhere else. The kids got to play 2 laser games for 12 min each? At that price it should have been unlimited... I would give them no stars but since my son enjoyed it and has no idea what I payed... 2 stars

Super Fun & Cute Activity Center for Kids. Lots to Do!

This is probably the best Lazer tag place on the island 2 floors to playon that's sick like a full blown video game the only con I have is that the water fountains were working before we went in when we came out suddenly they were turned off that I thought was shady. To turn them off so were forced to buy a beverage. Not cool but I rated this place on its game play so 5 stars on that. On the how the customer was treated scale 3 stars everyone was kind and nice but that water thing was messed up

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
