Hands-down the best Japanese arcade in NC. Extremely good pricing (a full day of unlimited play for 15 bucks), diverse selection of games, a super nice owner, and quite a few things to buy at the storefront! Arcade is very clean and all of the cabs are working. I would recommend anyone in the triangle area to visit it at least once, even if you aren't into anime or Japanese rhythm games.

They had a lot of older and very unique weird games not for the average arcade experience. Some people might like it but definitely my cup of tea but staff was really good friendly and attentive.

Excellent selection of rhythm games, all with unlimited play with the cost of admission. Felt like I could have stayed forever, and I can't wait to go back. I am blown away by Xepher. I knew it would be awesome based on what I've seen online, but my first experience was such a blast. It isn't just an arcade-- it's a community. Had an awesome time here. My kid and his bros had an even more awesome time. This place definitely has the games you are accustomed to. If you are super hand coordinated, unlike me, then mos def your spot. If you are sufficient enough for old school joystick arcade games then this is the spot too! amazing collection of japanese rhythm games and console games. the machines are all very well maintained. the owner was really chill and most people there were friendly, but the guy working the counter seemed completely checked out and kinda rude. still worth checking out for the completely unique experience

This arcade is sick. They have most rhythm games imaginable with multiples of some of the more popular games such as Sound Voltex. There is a ton of space and it doesn't feel cramped at all between machines. All of the machines are in great condition and the owner is super on point with his machine maintenance. Xepher Arcade is always a blast and you can easily lose track of time with all of the fun you're having :3 Sound quality indoors is great too, being as these are rhythm games, they can be loud to where you can't fully hear your machine, but that doesn't happen here! Truly wish I lived closer!

This place really is a treasured find here in the triangle area. Owners and employees are passionate about rhythm games, and kind people. They maintain a modest set of anime/gaming merchandise and reteo games for sale as well. The arcade cabinets are well-maintained and the community here is dedicated and active. Came across this place while looking for a fun activity to do with our kids over break - it fit the bill perfectly! We all had a blast and the staff was super helpful anytime we had questions. It was mezmorizing to watch the "professionals" do their thing on these games! We also got to scratch our retro console itch and play some of our old favorites with our kids. Heck a place to go for some fun. It's especially nice if you want to challenge your mind with something new for those that haven't ever played a rhythm game. Excellent selection of games to interact with. Also, one of the only places I'm aware of putting in real effort to host local gaming tournaments around the triangle. Just make sure you pay tribute to Miku. That's a non-negotiable.

Ive been trying out all different kinds of arcades in a wide area in nc. This one absolutely steals the show for rythmn games every machine I used felt cared for and I didn't feel uncomfortable unlike some other niche hobby locations. gonna be a huge fan

This is the arcade that actually got me into rhythm games. Super awesome environment, the owner is a really cool dude, all of the machines are in great shape. 10/10 recommend!

This place is great. 15 bucks to play all the games you want and most of the cabinets are Rhythm games you may never have seen before. Whether it's interesting mechanics where your swiping, tapping, dancing, moving, or even just deciding to play the nintendo switch at one of the stations (or beyblades?!) It's a good time to be had by everyone. Plus they sell games, tchotchke, toys, and an endless supply of gatorade. Bring some friends and kill the day with some cool games and people.

Worth it for $10 on weekdays. I loved to see how often they were cleaning the machines, that was awesome. They have some games I'd never seen before even when I was in Japan. If you like rhythm games, def recommend coming here

This is the place to place for Rhythm Game Arcades. The staff is friendly and welcoming right when you first walk in. They have a great selection of games and arcade cabinets (Which are thoroughly upkept and repaired). They even have a console section and will be working with the Fighting Game Community. Don't forget to check out some of the anime merch they have. I would recommend this arcade to everyone near Duke in Durham!

I went to Xepher for the first time yesterday and it was such a fun experience. I never really played any rhythm games besides Osu and Guitar Hero, so it was fun to experience some new ones! When we wanted a little down time from the Rhythm games it was nice being able to sit down at their console stations and just play some fighting games and Overcooked with my friends.
