A true blast from the past. Walking into this arcade felt like taking a step right into the 80s. Everything from the radiating neon lights, the variety of classic games, and the cozy atmosphere. I was very surprised when I went on a Saturday night and found myself the only person there. While not the largest arcade, for $5 (after 9pm), you get way more than $5 worth of classic arcade fun.

We love having this awesome spot in our neighborhood. Friendly staff, reasonably priced, a little chaotic when it's crowded but it definitely brings back some memories of growing up. Glad I get to share this with my kiddo.

Great experience! Went with friends at 9PM. It's a flare rate for infinite games. So cool! Really glad they had DigDug! The pinball machines were cool too. Check this place out!

I had my kid's birthday party here and it went great! The party room is spacious and well decorated, they also handled ordering pizza from Scarlato's nearby. The arcade cabinet selection is really good. They're rightly proud of their Killer Queen cabinet (with an overhead screen for spectators) but they also have a great selection of arcade classics, pinball, fighting & racing games and even a 6 player X-Men cabinet. They have a good selection of drinks & snacks available too.

Decided to have my little?s first birthday party here since it was going to be mostly adults (family party). I knew that he would enjoy the lights and sounds while the adults played games and we all had so much fun. They have step stools for younger kids which I really appreciated for my 3 year old. The staff was so helpful and kind and the pricing was great too. Would definitely recommend a party here or even just going to hang out and play some games.

Wouldn't recommend for a kids party. We had our 9 year old party there. Guy kept telling them to be quiet when they cheered at the game they were playing. It was a Friday night and it's an arcade!!! WTH? It wasn't abnormal or out of hand I would have said something. They need to get a grip. Will not return.

Had our annual Guys Night Out last night, ended the night here. WHAT A BLAST! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the nostalgia of the games was something else. Also, might have witnessed both the best and worst karaoke performance of all time.

EXCELLENT!!!!! We had our son's birthday party there 08.06.2022, it was already set up and ready to go. The pizza was perfectly ordered and we had a Huge Balloon and the Bill helped us with our hangings and balloon with tape. We was out of the room fairly on time but they was not rude and kicked us out. They offer to help clean up but we was already on it because our guests helped us!!!! THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE TO PARTY WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!! ***BOOK YOURS TODAY

Good price for an arcade with unlimited use. Nice variety of retro games and even a fun analog hokey foosball which my son loved. They have two more modern games that are multiplayer, both are good. Only had two problems. To my understanding there are only 3 parking lot spots and the rest is street parking, I could be wrong but that's what was apparent. The other is one of the front desks attendant's attire, female with a nose ring, only had maybe a sports bra on. I'm not one to pick on clothing but it was

Classic arcade, but rather than pay per play, you pay an entrance fee (currently $10 per person. 3 and under free). They have beer and soft drinks, and small snack options on site. Unique and fun! Our whole family enjoyed it

My friends and I stopped in to play Killer Queen while on a weekend getaway in Cincinnati, and had a great time. Excellent prices, good environment, quality selection of games, helpful staff. Will visit again next time I'm in town

$10 a person is very reasonable, but what had me in wow was that it's $10 for a 2 year old as well. When I inquired about paying for some who wouldn't be playing games, the attendant words were very disrespectful. ?2 year olds are full humans who run around, have germs, and take up more space than others?. That's not what I really expected from him but the $60 I was going to spend went right back into my pocket. Customers that were already playing games over heard the conversation and was surprised at his r

Love this place! Affordable and a really great choice for a date night. The staff is always kind and games are super fun

Nice spot for a game or two! The owners are really great. Could use a few more pinball machines, but as a smaller venue, they have plenty of games to choose from. It's also nice to have an adult beverage while enjoying the game. Looking forward to seeing what this location looks like in a few months! Supporting local businesses is such an investment in the community.

Went on a Friday and it was a lot of fun! It was small enough to feel comfortable and not overwhelmingly loud or busy but big enough to be entertaining. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I created a balloon installation here yesterday. Not only do they support artists, they are extremely friendly and welcoming! The space is clean and their arcade choices are on point, highly recommend taking the whole family here!

So fun! Great venue to host a event or party. No matter what your you and your group will have fun at this awesome arcade.

We had a great time. Everyone was so excited to come and play. Had a great birthday party for my son.

Cool place! Good price to have unlimited play, good beer selection, and just a neat environment. Would recommend another couple gun games and a Tetris but otherwise, cool experience.

Fun, easy environment. Wish we got there earlier so the teens could hangout longer

Wonderful neighborhood arcade with lots of classic games and amazingly friendly staff. All games are unlimited play with the price of admission.

Fantastic video game and pinball arcade. My son and I really enjoy playing the great collection of retro arcade games here. We are happy to see a classic Nintendo NES available to play. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Thanks

Super fun! Super affordable! A great place for friends, dates, families. Has more old school games and you can easily spend hours there. I wish they had an air hockey table but otherwise it was just a great experience.

All the best games and insane unlimited play deals. Great for kids and family or date night on the weekend. Nice selection of old and new but definitely geared toward folks who grew up with arcades in the mall, etc.

This place was so fun! I threw my husband a small surprise party here with all of his friends and they were very accommodating. Great prices and very kind staff.

Terrific place with great games. It is a clean place, and it has positive vibes. Had a kids' party there, and LCD Soundsystem was playing, and it was all real, real cool. I appreciate how accomodating and kind they were. Great place to go, and it is a little gem that Westwood needs. Excellent place for a party. Don't ever stop rockin', Wondercade. Don't lose your edge. Keep dancing yrself clean! Thanks!

Hosted an amazing party for my nephew?s 11th birthday party. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Games for all age groups

Handful of pinball and arcade games. If you have a favorite classic, it's probably here. Plus, Super Chekks! It's great to pay an upfront fee and then be able to play whatever I want as many times as I"d like. I felt comfortable learning the games and losing a bunch as I figured things out. Such a blast!

Always a fun place for kids and adults. The staff are friendly and the games are great. It's always clean and well-maintained. We had our son's birthday there recently and he and his friends had a good time. We'll definitely be back!

We love to taking our 5 year old there and playing pinball and all the cool classic games! Tonight the staff was so sweet and inviting with him.. he was talking about how he made friends there on the drive home. Love it!!

This is now one of our favorite places to go on the Westside. I love that it is an entrance fee ($10) instead of pay per play and there's a good selection of both classic and contemporary games. There's also packaged snacks and bottled drinks (beer and non-alcoholic), which is nice when you're going with kids.

Such an incredible place. They provide the best atmosphere for both kids and adults. From mortal combat to teenage mutant ninja turtles so some brand new arcade games that I'm so wildly out of the loop on? so yourself a favor and take your kids here. They'll love it and they've got some killer local craft beers in their cooler!

worker was very creepy. kept following my friend and i around and tried to play mario kart with us. also a try hard in mario kart. had a bad attitude as well (got angry when i commented on the graphics) started clapping after we finished the dance game and continued to stare at us. overall, arcade was boring. ?? WE ARE MINORS!!!!

Great place. Super fun, and the games are well maintained. The flow is nice, and they have a wide variety of titles.

Oh my god! I didn't expect an arcade out of Cincy but my god did I have a blast playing and beating Soul Edge. If you're worried about running out of quarters don't it's endless for the time you're there. Not to mention there's cheap food and booze that will make sure your night is awesome. Check our the TV games and adjacent retro video game store. P.S. check out the indie game cabinets they're pretty cool too! ??

Totally fun place. They have a couple of machines that haven't seen in a long time, Burger Time and a Classic Nintendo with either duck hunt or super Mario Brothers to play. Loved the nostalgia 1980's vibe.

Awesome place to hang out. They've got lots of pinball machines in spectacular condition, and a game in the back that can be up to 5v5, which gets more and more fun and competitive the more players you have! The root beer they have is also perfect for the arcade experience. Pretty cute ginger on the staff ?? It's a pretty great place!

We were looking for a safe, indoor option to host a small post-holiday team outing, and Wondercade was THE SPOT! The price point was so reasonable for a private party, the duration was perfect, and the deal on snacks/ drinks was delightful. There were games that appealed to different ages and skill levels, with options for individual and group play. A wonderful booking for an out-of-the box, safe and mega-fun group outing. Game on, y'all.

Great value! $8 all you can play with pinball and great selection of vintage arcade games. Small venue but a great place to hang for the afternoon. Drinks available. Food can be delivered as well. Fun for all ages!

A lot of awesome vintage arcade games for all to play at your discretion. The entry price is fair, 8$ for a day pass. The only complaint would be the building size prevents the arcade from expanding with more newer games. Space is at a premium.

Great spot with classic games, pinball and the Killer Queen game. Everything is in great shape, including demanding games like Missle Command and Tron. Great craft beer selection and inexpensive. Owners are friendly and take pride in the establishment. Kid friendly, you'll definitely have a great time reliving your childhood arcade experience!

We had a blast to the past. Clean, bright, and crisp screens (CRT?s). All the controls work. Old pinball machines with great action. Friendly staff. $8 bucks is certainly worth the time travel.

I am so glad this place opened! There is a nice variety of games in great condition, and the staff is so friendly and know their stuff. There are drinks to be had, but this is definitely a true arcade that happens to have beverages, rather than just a bar that happens to have games. The whole family had a great time, and we're looking forward to coming back.

This is the best arcade in town. they only had a couple games not working. They have a bunch of the games from the mall arcades in 1980somethings. Clean place, affordable, and have some drinks for the adults. We've been many times, and will be back.

Classic arcade vibes with upgraded features including adult beverages. DORA is not allowed inside, but there is space out front to finish them prior to entry. They have a wide range of classic arcade games including pac man, galacta, pinball, fooseball, etc. My pals and I had a good time here. Entry gives you unlimited plays on games. Snacks and drinks are reasonably priced too. I'd say it's worth the trip if you enjoy arcades. Grab some grub and drinks at Westside Brewing, then walk the short distance h

Great arcade with super high quality food (from Muse Caf?) & drink (soda's/craft beer) options. $8 admission for gaming all day, you can even leave and come back. All arcade cabinets and pinball machines are in good working order.

Honestly a nice place to go and hang out with your friends. It has a Nintendo switch that you can play games on. Had all the classics and is only $8 admission and then all the games are free. Really enjoyed my time there with my friends.

Very friendly staff, good selection of drinks and snacks, and so many fun games. We stayed for a few hours this first visit and will definitely be back.

Had a kid's party in the party room. It was a great arcade with games from my childhood that I got to share with them and they enjoyed the time playing with their friends.

Such a cool place. All the classics! And the staff is super friendly. We will return. Great place for a kids bday party.

Fantastic! The machines were in top condition! No burnt screens or busted buttons! Also beer and wine to drink and cheap entry ($8) for all you can play? We will definitely be returning quite often!

I was wanting to go to an arcade and I surely was not expecting all the RETRO GAMES BRO! It was so cool. You can get hours of gameplay from vintage arcade games to pinball machines for only $8! I'm 17 now, but I can't wait to turn 18 in a month to be able to stay later to play longer! They have an "adult swim" time where anyone over 18 can stay there longer, but the time that you get for under 18 is still a decent chunk of time. Today was my first time being there, and I'll bring my dad the next time I go.

I think this is just one of the coolest spots to go play some retro arcade games. I love the pinball machines they were my favorite. Loved getting to play Nintendo too. Super fun place to take the kids.

My mom wanted to bring the grandkids but was told that she had to pay just to sit in there with them. They have to be with an adult, but even it the adult is just watching they make you pay. Ridiculous

Fun retro games . My grandsons love it ??????

We love coming to Wondercade. My sons had their birthday party there this summer. We are always there for a couple of hours. I thoroughly enjoy the games and trying to beat my own high scores.

Good vibe and family friendly. They had some old school and some new school video games plus Foosball! Decent selection of beverages, and maybe that will expand in time. Overall, I would recommend.

Wondercade is a treasure on Cincinnati's West Side. The arcade is full of video games and pinball machines from decades past. With unlimited play for only $8, my kids were able to try out any game they wanted. I enjoyed the nostalgia without having to exchange dollars for quarters every few minutes. My daughter and I had a blast defeating villains in the retro X-Men game,. complete with two TV monitors. Check it out!

This place is awesome - highly recommend it!! JC was awesome!! -- We brought our Cub Scout Den (boys 10 yrs.) in to complete their Webelos rank adventure requirement 'Game Design'. We asked JC if he could talk to the boys about the different aspects of Game Design. He went above & beyond and took an hour to walk them through a machine build and kept them engaged the entire time. They loved it. It's a stress-free, comfortable environment and they have most of the major classics (Joust, Frogger, Dig Doug, Str

It's an awesome little retro arcade, plenty of games to play and the employees were super nice. A little small but I think the variety of games make up for that. I would definitly love to come again!

This place is so much fun! I took my team there for a a fun offsite event and it brought back all the nostalgia of the arcade. The people who run it are so nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend for business events or to take your family for a fun afternoon.

Love this place so much! $8 to play all you want, and it's good all day! We love to go play, break for a drink at Westside or a meal at Nation and then go back!

This place is Amazing! I went here earlier today. Met some familar faces! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!! Y 8$ admission. Games are free. Food is cheap and delicious. Snacks are too. It is a bit small but it's good. Would come here again

Great selection for anyone!! Staff was helpful. Small parking lot and off street parking is available. Great value. Special place to hold a birthday party for any age child.

Great Place, very polite staff ,good pricing, and clean establishment very fun for a gamer!

Great selection of games and the staff are very respectful! Wonderful place to be, and you don't need to pay to play the games!

Come here to check out a fun spot and great for kids and adults. Bill and JC are the most gracious and accommodating hosts. They keep wondercade clean and cabs in great condition. The killer queen community really appreciates everything they do.

Great place to take the kids. The games are all fun to play. The workers are nice and know how to work with kids.

Didn't have the ddr game I was looking for ;(

Cheap awesome fun. They have all the classics and a few retro 90s plus a Nintendo on a projector. And a few surprises. Great place for a few hours of fun.

Love this place for so many reasons, $8 all you can play, libations, reasonable snacks for the kids, local business, awesome friendly people. Such a gem on the westside!

Fantastic staff. They make the place super welcoming and are really knowledgeable about their products. Great selection and good price.

This place was a really cool arcade. Seemed more focused on the games vs the drinks like 16 bit was. Great selection of games including a really cool old vintage mechanical game.

Place is awesome!!! Workers are into it. Great place. Check it out. Kid friendly, adults only 9pm till 11. I'll be back.

I don't usually do reviews, but this place is fantastic. Reasonably priced fun. They sell snacks and local beer too!

The games were great but the heat in there was unbearable!!! Sweating is not fun.

I went there for my 5 year old's birthday and we had a wonderful time. JC was a staff member there and was so fun and helpful for my kids and played games with them. We'll be back.

Friendly staff, lots of games and a nice variety, drinks and snacks, and the pinball is free play after the cover

Gotta love a place that has Alice Cooper pinball!! The games and the sounds brought me back to the days of my grandpa taking us to Doc Holliday's on Sundays. I love it!!

Wonderful place, and I love going and playing all the classics. Even my kids ask to go almost where week. An instant west-side classic!

Was a pretty cool place. Lots of the old arcade games i played as a kid. Will definitely go back

Great place for the whole family! You pay a set price at the start of your visit there, 10 bucks, and you go in and enjoy some classics!

We love Wondercade!! From 3 years old to 43, our whole family enjoys our time together

The staff is very friendly! Great place for some family fun and classic arcade games!

Super friendly neighborhood locals on staff, usually the owners, so they're invested in making this a great experience. Looking forward to seeing this grow bigger and bigger.

9/6/2023...My son met up with some classmates/friends here. They had a great time.

This place is awesome. Good game selection. For the price I don't think you can beat it

Nice lil place for the kids....never knew it existed ??

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
