The nicest people and a nice little bowling alley. My son wasn't feeling well and we could only play 1 of the two games we purchased. They felt bad for him and offered us a solution that was honestly so kind. It's very quaint and has many lanes. Thank you ??
Went here with a group of friends for the first time in probably 15 years. This place wasn't the fanciest, newest, most beautiful bowling alley I've been to, but it will really bring you back in time to a simpler time when having fun with your friends meant just being with your friends. The staff is extremely nice, all lanes were working, good selection of balls, an arcade area with lots of games and pool, and plenty of drinks and food. If you want to warp back in time to when your life wasn't so crazy, I r
You get what you get here? local bowling ally, older with its issues. Pins would just fall over and the balls were quite waxy it left residue on your hands. Prices were high for what you get. Overall a local convenient spot but not the best bowling conditions. Busy on weekends
Basic no frills bowling. Cosmic Bowling on Friday night. Shoe rental $4.50. On a Tuesday around 2pm we bought two games each and it cost us $31.95 with the shoe rental included. The lane we were in had no hand dryer blowing, otherwise everything worked well. The service agent behind the counter was pleasant and helpful.
A great family owned local business which serves the local community and is a fantastic spot for fun with family and friends. The staff is very friendly and the facility is well maintained and run. The food is cooked fresh and is very reasonable.
Just had my sons Bday party here and it was great! 2 hours of non stop fun with unlimited sodas and each kid with their own individual pizza. Can't beat the price. Staff was friendly fun and helpful. All the boys had a great time! Such a fun place for a great price!
RANT - Winter Garden Bowl...I want to share the shadiness that took place tonight. Went with a large group to Winter Garden Bowl and paid for 6 of us. When told that it would be $162.95 for 3 games and shoe rental I chuckled and half joking/half seriously asked if there were any discounts or deals available. The cashier just stared at me which led me to say "so, I am guessing that's a no?" while handing over the money. Well, lo and behold, on the way out I notice sign stating that Fridays are "All You Can B
Friendly staff. Older alley but that added to the appeal. The machine that resets the pins isn't always accurate. I wouldn't suggest betting. Lol It helped my friend win. Reasonable prices.
This place is really relaxing, especially for like a couple's day by yourself or with friends. All the above
The bowling alley at Winter Garden Bowl provided a fun and casual atmosphere for a night out with friends. The overall experience was somewhat average compared to larger city entertainment venues.
Fun place to go. Very mom and pop feeling. Great food too
Nice place to spend some time. Bring your family and enjoy it. On Mondays, you pay only $3 per game.
I had a super horrible experience here. We were here at 1:00 on a Wednesday afternoon. It was not busy. That was about the best thing about this location. Looking for a ball that fits a medium sized man's hands., was nearly impossible. It seemed that they only had small holes and extra-large holes. Was not able to bowl because of this. Could not locate 9 lb balls with large holes. Very unsatisfied, drove 30 minutes away from resort because of good reviews.
It's a pretty nice bowling alley I personally do not like midnight bowling. But the staff was very nice that lane seemed to be pretty clean. The previous owners was perfect they used to really take care this bowling alley the new owners seem to not really care too much but the staff that was there that evening was very nice the atmosphere was pretty cool the game I was there with My son
Great location inside outside is deceiving but it's a hidden gem inside for a small town bowling location. Our family really enjoyed our time here the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Balls are weird, maybe its just my fingers. Good news is they let you put your feet on the seats! Billiards is best here.
We love this bowling alley, it is nostalgic of the 90s. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. It's usually not very busy, if you want to go bowling, this is the spot to be!
This place absolutely sucks. Needs to be knocked down and replaced with something newer and modern. It's been here since I was a child. The lanes break down literally every 5 minutes and the only option is to move somewhere else when you're already comfortable where you are. As far as food goes, we didn't order anything other than the donuts and popcorn. The donuts tasted like Debbie cake donuts dropped in hot grease. The popcorn was standard. It reminds you of something in the 90s. Extremely antiquated. Th
The reason I go here is location. The lanes sometimes have issues but they fix them quickly. The lanes seem even and oiled. Drinks are average price. The balls are sometimes hard to find because the holes are a little small for the pound and vice versa. Bathrooms are kept clean. Staff is friendly. Free parking. Here is what a gathered on pricing because it can never be located online. Mon thru Fri 5.25 per person $4.50 shoe rental. After 5pm Fri $7 a game, Sat all day $7 a game, Sunday $6.20 a game all day
Paid for 3 of us to bowl. 6 out of the 10 frames one of our scores registered as gutter each throw, when this was not the case. Had to wait several frames for pin machine to be fixed. Had us change lanes, for the same result. We inquired about playing a second game with a discounted rate for our horrible 1st game, and we're told the owner doesn't do discounts. Awesome. We paid 16.00 a person to have 4 frames that the machine didn't break down and the computers worked. In my profession, just down the street,
My wife and I had a fantastic time here this past Thursday. Stopped in for the first time and bowled 4 games. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The lanes were in nice shape and the beer was cold!
The only good thing was the food. Out of two of the things we ordered and sauce was cold for the mozzarella sticks. Our lane broke down 3 times on our first lane, then we moved and broke again 2 times on the second lane, and multiple times on the third lane they moved us too. We were flashed by an old man?s butt crack when he was trying to fix our third lane. We had children present. All of the house balls were damaged and uncomfortable for everyone in the party and we all had different sized hands. They re
A nice bowling alley to take kids to in the summer. They have a great Kids Bowl Free Program! 2 free games a day, just have to pay for shoe rentals. A fun indoor activity for a rainy Florida day. Will definitely be going back!
Cheap $7 Great atmosphere
Good prices and good bowling. Nothing exceptional but I really like it here.
we just did my sisters 9th birthday party at winter garden bowling.. Paula is the absolute best. She was so patient and attentive with our large crowd. She deffinetly made this birthday party much easier for me.
I brought my kids for bowling in the afternoon. At first glance and after being told there was a 45 minute wait, we almost left. While I can see why the lower reviews would exist, my kids and I decided to wait and bowl anyway. My experience was actually the customers were the rude ones. These folks were working hard and they were slammed. Merely treating them like human beings and understanding the situation they went out of their way to make us welcome. We are glad we stayed and had a great time.
Great alley. A bit older but a perfect place to bowl and the prices are pretty good.
Horrible experience. Waited over an hour after we were told it would be a 30 min wait to bowl. Wife ordered food while we waited. Never got food. When approached to find out what happened to our food a employee nastily said it went out. Had to speak to manager who also had no clue what happened to our order and ask for refund. After an hour wait, saw two people walk in after us who were able to bowl as we waited and never got a lane. Seemed like young employees had priority for friends who walked in o
I get alleys have to be reserved for leagues and all that, but to be open for only an hour prior leaves little time to play-- especially when our lane goes down. I normally enjoy going here but the last time I did, the staff made it abundantly clear I wasn't welcome. I normally don't expect them to be friendly, but last time I went was an even worse gut punch. Eager to have us leave even before it was time to go
Would put 0 stars if I could, the lanes were breaking constantly, they had us switching lanes multiple times and when we finally had enough they refused up and down to give a refund. Avoid this place at all cost. Absolutely miserable terrible bowling alley
The staff was wonderful and tried to make gold out of lead. Saying that... Until they upgrade the hardware, don't try. Every other player had to go to the front desk to service the lane. Misplaced, absent pins with the occasional random reset. We were moved lanes 3 times and still we couldn't finish a whole game without issues.
This place has been there forever. I remember going as a kid in the late 80s. But there were only two people working out front and they seemed unable to handle the demand. Nice enough people, but just an overall lack of service. It's tough to know whether it's worth the cost-savings as compared to larger establishments or not. We may try again on a weekday at some point... Not ruling it out, but just not super impressed.
Great experience! It's serene and quiet. It took me back to my younger days, recalling long hours of playtime with my parents. Highly recommended.
You're are gonna like it. Nice place.
As soon as you come in to this place it smells like mildew. I didn't even want to eat of only thinking what the kitchen condition might be. The charged us $35 for only one round of bowling when we thought it would be an hour. The staff was rude and the place needs some love. Spend your money somewhere else
It appeared, less then half the lanes are in service. Lane 8 broke down 7 times in 20 minutes. They couldn't move us and refunds are not allowed. How convenient... They did gave us a free bowl voucher.. but like...why would we want to come back when we willing to leave early. Certainly since we are not getting our money back.
The people that worked their were very polite and attentive! 5 stars would have been given but the lane we we're on kept malfunctioning! They did give us a new lane after the 2nd malfunction though so they fixed the issue.
Was in there Friday was a good Atmosphere. The lanes do need work .. But the Dark haired Girl with Bangs was very nice and made it a pleasant experience. So All in All was a nice place with Great Service!!
I had a pretty decent experience here: Pros: Great deal for young kids during the summer Glow in the dark lanes are great for friends Good music Billiards and smooth-running machines Cons: Was a bit smelly I would definitely not eat food from here. Staff took a bit to respond to us and I wish their was another location a little closer or perhaps not as populated as their was some unpleasant people there. One of the people I was there with told me they witnessed someone dealing some sort of drugs or other
Staff seems to always be having a bad day. It is in my personal opinion that the establishment has never been the same since Carter Family Bowl departed. The staff uses foul language around customers. The facility is not very maintained. Staff needs to be retrained on people skills and positive attitude enforcement. The bowling balls have many chips and blemishes, while some of the lanes are very used and need to be assessed. I would not recommend Winter Garden Bowl unless major changes take place to correc
Traditional and very small place! Never had to presh the reset buttons, which is great technically! Lots of nice people that goes here! But sometimes the employees or head employees (especially) is unpleasant! Its a small place so, being busy is not an excuse. Other than that, its very decent! Oh yeah, put something to spray in the bathroom please!
I had a fantastic time at the bowling alley! The lanes were well-maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was lively and fun. Looking forward to my next visit! See attached for pricing.
They are AMAZING! Literally only two staffs and they have been more than wonderful to us. Such a great family place! The service is great the staff is beyond professional and friendly. Would definitely be coming here more often. Thank you so much! We highly recommend them. Perfect atmosphere!
Fun atmosphere. We came on a Thursday afternoon and thought the prices were fair. We ordered mozzarella sticks and fries. The food took a while and the fries were cold, but honestly we all ate and had a good time :)
Soon as you pull up you can tell this bowling Alleys been here forever. Love that they participate in the kids bowl free summer programs and staff are pretty friendly but lanes need some work. Haven't used a lane yet that doesn't need some type of repair. Barriers getting jammed, pins not refreshing, wrong scores counted and warped lanes so balls nearly always rear of to one side. I think the pros here have to be regulars that know what lanes to pick and how to compensate their throw for strikes. We make th
My wife and I just found this place and it's so fun. No frills old school bowling alley. The staff is great and the prices are easy on the wallet for a night out.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was with a friend and her children when the lady at the counter to pay for the lanes was being EXTREMELY rude. When asked to speak to management, she said NO. After some more conversation, she stormed off to get her manager, and her manager did absolutely nothing. After being helped, when we were walking away she called my friend ?stupid b***h?. We tried to contact them via Facebook, and surprise, surprise, they had the same attitude. Their response was ?we dealt with it
Food is gross we ordered pizza got here at 6 played 2 games and the pizza we ordered is raw including the bacon on it. yes I know I'm not expecting a 5 star restaurant but raw bacon on pizza gross. Also we felt the place was dirty and were not sure if anything was properly sanitized. No hand sanitizer stations out either. I would not recommend going. It didn't seem like the staff cared.
The outside of the building looks pretty sketch, not gonna lie. But the bowling prices were good, there were plenty of lanes, everything worked as it should have, had no problems finding a ball I could lift, and the pizza was absolutely delicious (we were surprised at how good it was, actually). Makes for a fun, relaxing afternoon!
Met the owner when my girlfriend and I came here for the first time a few months back. He couldn't have been nicer and he truly seems to care about this place. Being able to get beer and finger food is definitely a plus!
Have not been here in years. Was a great atmosphere and fun place to bowl. We did 2 games and had a great time!!
This is a staple in Winter Garden. It's not fancy. But the family that runs it works hard. They were slammed last Saturday and low staffed but no one complained or got an attitude. They just dealt with things as needed and worked through it. good job.
The bowling alley was not crowded on my short visit. It's appears clean and the manager was polite and available if I needed his assistance. There was no crowd and only a few families or groups enjoying the facilities. I believe this would a excellent location to bring a group of friends or family to spend some time learning, relearning or just enjoy some time bowling. From what I saw this could be a lot of fun and the only thing I believe has changed about bowling(in the past 20 years) is the price of bowli
Went on a Wednesday to bowl for an hour or two with my girlfriend. We walked in and the lady at the counter couldn't even be bothered to turn and face us. Instead, over her shoulder she says they don't have any open lanes. I asked when they would open, thinking they were just full, and she said "oh it's for a league they'll be here till close". Again, she didn't even face me or put her phone down. The only information I could find online was on the Winter Garden Post and it said they had a league every nigh
Very fairly priced for some friends who want to bowl a few games and share a couple of buckets of beer. Staff was friendly and capable, even if a bit short handed. It has what you need. If you're picky, bring your own ball and shoes. I had a great time with friends without blowing $100. The power when out briefly during a storm but popped back up and was back in action shortly. The three people I saw working on a fairly busy evening didnt stop moving and communicating to keep everything as smooth as possibl
Lanes broken won't give refund. Very busy, only certain families can purchase food.
This place smells like mildew, the staff is rude, you have to constantly ask them to fix the lanes because they were getting stuck, shoes were in terrible condition as well with holes. Ill spend my $100 elsewhere next time for a better experience.
Place is from the 50s, the gs98 bowling machines are 22 years old and past there expectation date. Go have fun don't complain the guy who is running it doesn't own the ally or machines yet he puts his money as best as he can. The owner of the building doesn't put money into the machines or building. The staff is friendly and will help if you are patient an not rude. Kids bowl free is back all ya gotta do is sign up an get 2 free games.
Paid for 2 games over 4 people and shoe rental. None of our games, not a single one was played without a mechanical errors, waited over 30 minutes for assistance and the answer is no refunds, we have no mechanics. If you have no mechanics and and malfunctioning lanes, then make sure you put that also in a sign at the door, not only no refunds. The response is a free game, why? The lane next to us had multiple interruptions for issues also, 8 lanes out of 20 where not working by the time we were offered anot
I love there shoes super comfy. Good lanes I don't like that bumpers are either up or down all game so if you have little ones just a heads up. Super cute dinosaur ramp for kids to use. they had an arcade but super small and was turned off. They had a league and still were enough lanes for people to play.
Michelle and Sam who was working the desk were very nice and welcoming. The bowling alley is what I expected, but needed some much needed updates. Would come back again.
Fun and a good family activity
I haven't been here in quite a while and must admit they did a great job fixing and updating the interior. We were there during the day and it's very child oriented. Bumpers and a slide that allows you to load the ball and it rolls down and onto the lane makes bowling easier for the kids. We had a great time and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
This bowling alley is somewhat small, but the staff is friendly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is because the date for our lane got stuck multiple times, the reset button on our lane was apparently out of service, and it was a slight inconvenience to have to fetch someone to fix it. Otherwise, it was a great experience. The snack bar has options from popcorn and fries to wings and pizzas. Also, the is an arcade, complete with tickets to earn prizes.
Not too expensive and usually always has a lane available. They have food and beer. Its a fun place that isnt too expensive. They have a vending machine that also has socks in it for purchase so if you forget your socks you're not out of luck. It doesn't look like it's in a great part of town but it actually is. This is in proximity to Downtown Winter Garden which is been gentrified and really revamped. The service at this place is pretty good and I've never gone there and been turned down for a lane. The
This place is in badly need of rehabbing. The lane we were using kept breaking down. Pieces were falling off of it. The bumpers for the kids was falling apart. The bathrooms smell horrid, i would not go there again.
The web site says that they are open at 10:00 am. They are not. Opens at 1:00pm. Tried to call but the answering machine is full and you can not leave a message. Called after 1:00 to tell someone these things and the person did not really care at all about the problems.
we love it here. it's older but has such charm surrounding it. the employees are great and the prices are very reasonable. makes for a great date night or family night.
I'm a little bit of a whistleblower so excuse my bias. They pay as little as possible for the people and things they have to maximize profit. I do not reccomend taking anyone here, customer service is subpar, you will never be regarded as number one, more of a strong number 2. No auto bumpers, the machines are old and the only person who remotely can fix major breakdowns is a part time employee. Jeff is the one person there who could probably help you better than everyone (years of customer service experien
If you are going to have a bar than have a bartender. We waited 20 min until I finally went over and asked can someone help. His reply is "you all are thirsty tonight". We won't be coming back here again
Reminds me of my legendary hometown bowling center. Bird bowl on bird and 92nd Ave. very friendly staff, good lanes, and great deals! Shout out to Rich in the bowling store for his business experience!
It was a good time, I've been to better bowling alleys, but it wasn't crowded. It's worth going back.
I've never met such a rude owner/manager in my life! The Winter Garden Christmas parade takes place once a year. Dillard Street is closed for about an hour where no cars can get in or out. The city residents come together for a fun, festive time to watch the local dance groups, bands, etc. march down the street. All of the local businesses let the residents park in their lots and sit along the sidewalks to watch the parade. That is, all of the local businesses except Winter Garden Bowl. There was a re
we showed up for a birthday party for my step brother and when we told the lady at the desk she said with a lot of attitude to her friend "it's happening again, people are showing up for parties without calling" she then gave us our lanes and we started bowling and having a lot of fun with our friends and family! My friend and i ordered food and it was taking a while to get to us so we went up to ask. the lady came and told me "your food was on the high top. it was already on the high top" and i said "okay
I am on a league and my main bowling lanes were full. I went to Window Garden lanes. I brought 3 games. Feeling good to get practice in. My first ball hooked in the gutter. I looked at the ball and no oil anywhere. I shot down the middle.no oil..shot over the lane they were so dirty. I went any ask the manage when was the last time the lanes were cleaned. He told me no since a week before thanksgiving. Iwas amazed he told me that. I proceeded to bowling and tried to ignored it. But after two more frames I
Great place to hang out and bowl. Kids bowl free (2 games per day, all summer long until 6pm, shoe rental is additional). Clean and clear lanes, friendly staff. I would recommend.
I LOVE this place. Sure, it's outdated and could desperately use a makeover, but it has character and charm to spare (no pun intended). It reminds me of every bowling alley I went to as a kid, more than likely because it is older than I am. I frequent this location and would ecommend it to anyone else.
I almost missed this place the building is a church converted into a bowling alley. Just look for the blue bowl sing. I had lots of fun bowling here with my friends we played one set. They have snack food here and some wram snacks but I did not try the food here but we did get two sodas. The soads was what I would expect from the fountain. The place was very clean and cozy inside. Love the retro theam of the whole place.
Family friendly! A cool place to spend a fun afternoon.
I originally liked this place due to the very nice staff and its the closest to my house. I took up bowling as a hobby recently so I have been here about 5 times the past month. The issue with this place is the lanes are always malfunctioning. I havnt had a single visit where I havnt had issues with the lanes. I kept coming back hoping it would get better, but this last time was the last time I'll be back. I didn't have a single game that I was able to play completely without having to ask an employee to fi
Lane kept shutting off in the middle of turns. The staff was rude and didn't even want to respond when presenting the issue to them. The system would skip turns in the middle of bowling not even keeping the score. Outdated equipment and rude staff made this unenjoyable. Wouldn't not spend my money here again.
I love this place and highly recommend it! 1) Clean building, very affordable prices, and friendly staff add up to a great time. 2) Oh, did I mention NEW comfortable bowling shoes that actually feel nice and not like wooden planks. 3) Finally, the lanes bowl GREAT
The hours on their site say 10 am opening but the sign on the door says 1. Fix it. Also, staff there is rude. Brought a guest with foot issues and can't wear the bowling shoes. They were very rude about that and were very argumentative. Wouldn't listen to reason. Don't go here
Had to keep switching lanes due to them breaking down last time i was there only half the lanes were in use but we had to wait for a lane im assuming because so many kept breaking it took 4 of us 3 1/2 hours to bowl 2 games . The food experience wasnt the greatest either they charged me for what i ordered then about 15 min later told me they didnt have certain items that i would have to choose something else that i didnt really want . They were pushing me away from a refund pretty hard and when we got our f
I love bowling! This bowling alley just needs a little more tlc and updating and it could be spectacular. We had lane 13 and 14 and the lane kept jumping my SIL ball out of the gutter, which froze the whole system numerous times. It definitely slowed down our game. Overall though, it's a great way to spend a couple hours and inexpensive!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
