Customer Reviews

If you ever find yourself in Borger, Texas?first off, what brought you here? But secondly, if you're here, you're coming to Wildcatter?s. There's no debate, no second options, no Yelp deep dives to find a better place. You either come here, or you sit in your truck and contemplate your life choices in the Walmart parking lot. Those are your choices. Wildcatter?s isn't just a place?it's an institution. It's the only place in town where you can bowl, drink, play pool, eat fried food, and let your kids loose

My most recent dining experience at Wildcatter's was not good: -The usually excellent Cuban sandwiches that my wife and I always get were not correctly made. -When our bill arrived, we found that we were overcharged for our meals, because the wait staff informed us that we would have to pay extra for our "drinks to go". $7.00 for two 32 ounce drinks. Outrageous! -Finally, the server for our table would not allow us to use a gift card, which had been purchased from Wildcatter's and given to us as a present.

I have never been held hostage before but I have eaten at wildcatters. 2 hours for a party of 3 just to eat the catfish, the waitress named jarika too busy texting and vaping to wait on us gave her a nice big tip of get a different job.

I had a great dining experience, food was pretty good. Prices are pretty reasonable for food and drinks. I know that the restaurant are turns into a night club on Fridays but I didn't stay after 10 pm so I can't rate the club, but I highly recommend the Bar and Grill Thanks

Bowning alley was clean and fun. We went during the glow hour and the neon lights looked really cool. Has a huge selection of bowling balls. Fun place to go with the family. It was convenient to have the restaurant in the same building.

We came to Wildcatters to watch a college game tonight and the damn people at the bar was so loud and doesn't respect other people that are watching the football game really. This place use to be a nice place to come to. We are not coming back to football games again. Find a nice other place to go to. This place sucks. The bartender let the customers at the bar go in the back to the kitchen and behind the bar. The customer at the bar kept turning up the music and it got so loud it gave me a bad headache. Th

10/10 would definitely recommend!!! The food was great, the atmosphere was fun and the waitress was just perfect!! I'll be back to try more of the menu for sure!

I hate leaving ugly reviews, but there is nothing else that can be said. We walked in, and there was only 1 table of 5 people, so we figured we would get good service. The bartender got our drink order kind of quickly. We waited for over 5 min for just water. When we finally got our order taken, it was nearly 40 min later when we received our food. Once again, there were only 2 tables occupied. After we received our food, we never saw the waitress again. No refills or checking on us once. I ordered a burger

Nice little place to go. We were the only ones in the whole building aside from the staff.

The food was ok, but this was by far, some the worst service that I've ever seen. We had to get our own menus, silverware, had to go to the bar, and ask for drink refills, and go find our ticket after the waitress disappeared. They also moved us in the middle of our meal to make room on the dance floor. Why were we seated there in the first place? That's problem with many small town dining establishments, lack of competition breeds complacency. We WON'T be back.

Had dinner with my mom and son tonight and our waitress was SUPER attentive. Ontop of being so hospitable, she said the sweetest thing ever to me. Shout out to Cindy, you killed it and are seriously so nice. The food was great and can't wait to go back.

If i could give half a star i would, The worst service I've ever had, took over an hour for food, waitress only refilled drinks once, and yes we did still leave her a tip I was taught not to be rude, food was cold when we got it! Then we went to play games in the "arcade" there's hardly any games left! There were multiple kids running everywhere, I saw a few kids get hurt just running around and the card we bought did not work none of your "employees" knew how to fix the cards and when we asked for a refund

Our family loves this place! The food is really good and it's a really nice bowling alley.

The young lady working the bar was very nice and attentive, even when we went outside on the patio she didn't forget about us! Loved the 5 dollar margaritas!

Very overpriced drinks. 1 beer and 1 tequila will run you $11.00 or so. The staff is somewhat friendly. But, mostly not. They will ignore you for the most part, at least in my experience. Best to just go somewhere else. There are plenty of other bars that will charge much less and treat you much better.

The food is good here, but the service is usually quite slow. There is a bar and outdoor eating/drinking area. There are plenty of TV's always tuned to various pro and college sports. It's a fun place to go with a group. The bowling alley is first rate and there are assorted video games as well. If you enjoy playing pool, there are tables for that as well. Overal, Wildcatter's is a fun place to chill with family and friends. If it wasn't for the slow service, I would have rated this place with 5 stars.

so this business just re-opened and my family and I decided to head on over for dinner. the staff is friendly and helpful, but they've got a long way to go to improve their appeal. The table they sat us at was dirty, the menus were smeared with food. we ordered chicken fried steak and the steak was overcooked and you could taste dirty oil. there is a 2 dollar upcharge for loaded baked potato, but it was still practically dry when we got it. the Manager was quick to correct our concerns, we will give it anot

Family fun environment. Great prices for a small town venue. With all the entertainment you need.

I love this place, but only gave 4 stars because of the prices. An hour of bowling is $20, which goes by quickly. Some of the arcade games are $2 per play. Super Fun!...but only if you have the money for it.

We had a great time celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday party. They were very accommodating to all our needs, took great care of us and made the day a very special one for my daughter. It's clean, good prices and great staff.

The lanes are good. Price to bowl is pretty fair. The service can use a lot of work though. Wait time is forever. A bad attitude from some employees, even if you're politely asking for something. And also it seems like a baby sitting service there. Too many children running around unattended. Other than that though. Its aight

Fun place, I'd give 5 stars but, I've been a couple of times in the afternoon when they wouldn't rent me a lane because of leagues.

If I can hit a negative 5, I would do it. Don't do a Tab there. I got raked almost buying the whole Bar drinks. It's been a good 4 days since I've been there. Tonight I met other locals that say the same. I've never had problems there before. JUST PAY WHAT YOU GET. NO TAB !!!! I'VE WARNED YOU !

We appreciate Wildcatter's so much for making a birthday party so special. These people have big hearts! ??

Can you give a place negative stars? We literally only have two places in Borger to take kids and have a family fun day...we got there and there were literally 5 employees behind the counter with one line open no one else running the register. One person running and ringing up people 4 employees doing nothing. That took at least 15 minutes. Half the time of our bowling we spent running back and forth to try and get our food from the now 6 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. We didn't even g

Bowling was great, scored 4 strikes in a row here so I can't leave a bad review. They have karaoke after 10pm. Staff was friendly and helpful

Always have fun with the family & enjoy the music, food & desserts.

Wouldn't let us bowl even though no one was there. Said we had to wait until 10pm. It was around 4:45pm. Kind of a let down. Didn't make much sense. Played pool instead. Food was pretty good

If I could give negative stars I would. The owner of this establishment wrongly forced an employee to pay $250 dollars for multiples of the same order being rung up, due to an issue with the restaurants register. I should add, no food was made, no product was used, and there were no extra meals made, yet this employee was forced to pay $250. If you do eat here, please remember to tip your waiter/waitresses.

Made an employee pay for a system mistake with register. Multiples of same order was rung up but never prepared. Employee was forced to pay for the orders, coming out to about $250 even though no product was used. If you go here remember to tip your severs well. Management obviously doesn't have their back.

My husband and I went bowling on valentines day. I was disappointed because I slipped in the lane and went up in the air and came crashing down on my tailbone and back. Not a single employee came to offer assistance or to ask if I was okay. Poor business practice when someone gets hurt on your property. I should have been checked on and asked if I needed anything, like an ambulance or ice. But I got nothing. You will be fortunate if I return.

Great service and family location. Your family can enjoy bowling, and the kids can enjoy the mini arcade. The restaurant has Western themed decorations and great service with friendly employees.

Would not recommend if you have children. Constant vaping by everyone around us no consideration for others or their kids. When we ask management about what they could do about it they told us nothing they can vape where ever they want (even though they have such designated areas for things) saying it caused no harm. The associated had no cares about what was going on and had a bland face expressing nothing but their discomfort in their life.

Good food, with below average customer service. Overall recommend you AVOID going during hours that Isabel or tasha ARE WORKING. As an EX COWORKER, if they suspect you dont have money or are just their to watch a game and drink a water they will NOT treat you as a customer. If you have no other option in town & do happen to go; the cook Angelo has always done a great job on the Chicken Fried Steak and all else!

I genuinely only give this place 1 star if any. They had horrible customer service and let people vape wherever they want. People may not think that vaping is bad but it is just as bad or even worse than cigarettes. The smell and amount of smoke that the vapes produce is beyond enough to give someone a headache. By the time I left I could barely see from the migraine from the kids vaping. The place is usually fun but for them to let people vape constantly in an open area is ridiculous. Then getting started

What a disappointment! Chicken was overcooked to the point of leathery, carrots still so hard you couldn't stick your fork in them, pulled pork had chunks so big you needed a knife. But all that was better than the service. We had to go to bar and ask for a tea refill, had to go to the back and ask for napkins, had to ask another server for our ticket. We ate enough to stop our stomachs from growling then ended up going to Braums.

Love this place!!! Not ashamed to say we eat here at least twice a week. Food is great. Service is excellent. Drinks are always cold!!!

Food wasn't great, I had a wonderful steak here last year. This one left alot to be desired. Don't order the pizza just go to Little Ceasars its cheaper and better.

Great food, definitely don't miss out. We had the Philly, and the Load Baked Potato. Wonderful service!

The service sucks they take forever to take your order even when they are not busy. We sat there for ten minutes with five workers just standing around and talking. They do not make mixed drinks that well. And the food is mediocre at best

Several lanes dont work. Terrible service on the bowling side.

I have not been there yet but the customer service I received from Andrea was perfect. I am new to town and looking forward to my first visit. Thanks again Andrea.

False business hours. Traveled almost an hour to go bowling because their hours indicated that they were opened. Big inconvenience. Were told bowling isn't available until four but their posted hours clearly indicated 11am. If they are not open then they should have a closed sign instead of an open sign.

Great atmosphere. Lots of games great employees restaurant has great food coctails and beer. Tvs outside tables for smoking. Just a fantastic very clean fun place

None of the games worked in their arcade. The kids at the front desk had to ask 3 or 4 different people how to load a card. Management was nowhere to be found. Went for the games with my kids but sadly there were none.

Decent food. Good bowling alley. Helpful people. Usually packed with league members.

The bowling alley is a great place to go, it take forever to get arcade tickets but it usually worth it.

They will not let you reserve over the phone. If your from out of town would not recommend going because they won't have lanes open for you. Not going back again because they don't let you reserve over the phone. Also, not very good costemer service.

It was ok for the 1st time going just wish they would of told us that the kitchen closes at 9 but they didn't so not too satisfied with thia place.

Ashley is great. Professional and pays attention. Pool tables need to be burned lol. Loaded fries are great.

Would have been better if the wait staff wasn't so busy getting hi that they weren't taking care of their customers and the bartender wanted to put off a bucket of beer onto the wait staff so it was 30 min before getting service

The in-laws invited to bowl to celebrate my nieces birthday so the bowling itself was great however they were very much short staffed which made getting drinks & snacks difficult.

Waitress was great! Food was ok. Baked potato not done and not hot. Burger not done. We'll try again...

Good drinks. Service needs a little work. The place was dead but could not find the server.

The wings were very good. Service was great I will go again.

Get any drink you desire. Great food. Nice people work there

Went to the bar part with a friend for country night. Music was good, staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the owner was also friendly.

They have 2 pool tables in the smoking area and 2 in the bowling alley. Dollar a game. Good fun!

Great times with great people!! Had a fun time bowling. They also serve great food and drinks!

Kinda for kids but during corona you gotta get out and have some kind of fun. Bowling was cool.

The first lane we were given didn't work, but the staff quickly moved us to another and we enjoyed our time.

GREAT FOOD FUN ATMOSPHERE CORY THE BOSS IS A VERY CONCERNED AND AN ALL AROUND NICE GUY COLD BEERS AND GAMES GO TRY IT YOU WILL ENJOY

I had to ask the server to come and take my order after waiting 10 minutes while she was buy texting on her phone.

Great bowling. Wished the arcade games were playable. Nice afternoon of family fun

Was out bowling with my family payed for 2 hours and my blisters on my hands were killing me asked for a refund for one of the hours and they told me they could not give me my money back for one of the hours and got suffer from the pain in my hands for another hour

Very enjoyable for all. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We'll be back again!

Our service was excellent. Burgers and chicken tenders hit the spot. Thank you.

They never got to us in waiting and we had to go ask for just a menu but everything thing else was alright

Food was great. Glad to see it back open because Borger is limited on good places to eat.

Great place for kids parties. Friendly folks at every counter. Bowling was great also

Baked potato was half cooked and 2 dollars extra for loaded got a few Bacon crumbs and a dab of sour cream Was not good

We stayed a whole 5 min and then left I not sure jus didn't seem to be a very good place

Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. Lots of local fun.

The female security only lets in people she wants 3 time don't let us in cause she ? dont like us?

My first time here..service was good

It's alright but the food is high and so is bowling the arcade games don't work half the time

Great place to watch the game and have a good meal

Can't believe it is close, not the right owners or managers, what a shame,a very nice place, but if it's not ran right, this is what happens, put a person as manager that knew nothing about bowling or running a business, and the last, manager stole from the place what a joke.

It was fun we went around lunch and so it was slow.but the staff are amazing ??????????

Very clean staff very helpful had buffalo wings and loaded fries very good

Awesome place. Clean, friendly staff. Great way to spend an evening.

Really neat place to visit. Coming from wyoming it was really fun!

Nice family friendly place

Nice bar! Plenty of space. Dance floor DJ. Good music.

We were waiting for hours and walked past us several times and didn't serve us we had to ask them to give us menus

Great drinks great service and food is always fresh

Mediocre food, average table service, slow bar service. I'm certain there are worse places.

We love their breakfast!!! Not going back to nuway on Saturday mornings for breakfast.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
