Great ice cream, friendly and helpful staff, good prices. They even let my sister in law swing in 30 minutes before opening time due to time crunch to buy a very comfortable hoodie. Highly recommend. Also have very good gluten free waffle cone!

This place is so generous with their single scoop cones (it's basically a loaded two scoop) and wide assortment of flavors. We came to the door at 6 and they didn't turn us away, even though it was closing time. John even made my husband an amazing gluten free cone on the spot!

The ice cream was delicious and the owner was definitely very generous with the scoops. He was extremely sweet and had great service, and the place was bright and inviting with a fun selection of games! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

I ordered the cranberry walnut cheesecake. So delicious! And the owner did not hesitate to help me. I'm a quadriplegic and he came opened my hand and put the ice cream cone in it. Then when I finished without asking he came to me with a warm wet cloth + washed my hand. I was so moved by his compassion.

The owner is fantastic! He treated my 6 friends and I like royalty! He said "nobody leave empty handed" and gave myself an icecream sandwich free of charge when I wasn't able to pay! He showed all my friends games in the arcade and how to play all of them. SO COOL!

Coolest place in Westport! Best ice cream. Waffle cones made fresh to order. If you are interested, there are many gaming consoles with thousands of available games. We played on a few different consoles for no extra charge. Jan accidently left her purse inside but one of the owners ran it out to us right as we were leaving. What a great place! Kid and adult friendly. They have beer. It's at the end of the strip, don't settle for any other ice cream. This is the best!

What's better on a hot day than ice cream? With plenty of selections, my favorite is pistachio almond, but we tried five different flavors, and all were delicious. There are five chairs outside where you can enjoy your ice cream if you don't feel like walking, but a short distance away is a lighthouse where you can stroll around.

We stopped in for some ice cream and were pleasantly surprised by the staff and decor of this lovely little shop. After you buy your ice cream you can go in and play on their many classic game systems. The Ice Cream itself was excellent and they had a lot of interesting flavors. My partner got one that tasted of Fruity Pebbles and I got a shake with their Cherry Ice cream. All very excellent.

You must visit Whale of a Cone for ice cream, if you're in Westport. The server was very nice to talk to. We love the butter pecan flavor! The mango sorbet flavor wasn't good, but we should have tried a sample before finalizing. We'll be visiting Whale of a Cone again before leaving Westport. --- We visited again, the next day. Honestly, the customer service is what gets it the 5 stars. The ice cream is pretty much all stuff you can get at the grocery store. It's a great brand, but we very much enjoyed the friendly, gregarious, and kind man who served us the ice cream. Try the Maui Wowi! They also have an arcade so I would bet it's a great place to be when the weather doesn't cooperate ??

My favorite place to go and get ice cream and candy when I am in westport. Recently under new management but still the excellent ice cream shop you remember with a good selection of flavors. I highly recommend either the chocolate dipped or original waffle cones. They are delicious!

Whale of a Cone was our best stop in Westport. We stopped in for cones and came out with such uplifted spirits and great ice cream! Our 4 year old granddaughter was treated to the awesome shop owner's one on one attention. He took the time to talk with her and treated her to sprinkles and sparkles on her cone. This is the $7.50 double scoop.. Pretty small and the ice cream was old/freezer burnt. You get more ice cream in those $1 mini tubs at the grocery store.

Gluten Free Waffle Cones made and sold here. The co-owners and store manager all happened to be in the store. Gluten Allergy was accommodated on the spot. One of the owners baked and prepared a gluten free cones when they were sold out. Amazing service.

My wife wanted ice cream so we stopped by Whale of a Cone. The staff were super nice and made us feel very welcome. They had plenty of non basic flavors, like strawberry cheesecake which is my wife?s favorite, and multiple options for cones. They gave us a lil pup scoop for our dog and even made an ice cream sandwich for us to try (it was delicious)! We would definitely come back!

My mom, my dad and i bought oce cream cones here and my son and nephews wanted to play games. He yelled at them to read the rules.... hes 5 dude and we bought 3 cones. It doesnt say in the rules everyone has to buy a cone. Also, my brother was going to buy ice cream for the kids, but because they entered first and got yelled at before him you lost service. Also, theres slim picking on ice cream and the honey churro was disgusting.

This place is great ice cream and video games hardest part was keeping the kids from playing with sticky hands and getting them to leave. We had a great time. They renovated the chotsky shop half of the store and changed it to a sweet little game room! After dinner, I promised my 2 older children ice cream at an old shop I knew of back when I used to live in Westport. Upon arrival, it appeared maybe we arrived too late as I didn't see any personnel so I meandered back towards our car. It was then that I was pleasantly reminded that this small town doesn't disappoint. She may not know me from Adam & 2 double scoops may not have made a dent in the till but I appreciated the manager's willingness to make sure we were able to enjoy Whale of a Cone this week

We passed through Westport on a super rainy Spring Break weekday and hit the jackpot when we walked into Whale of a Cone and were met by Jah. Amazing friendly service. A wide variety of ice cream flavors that look like they are constantly updated. They also carry snacks and some great local beers. We walked in for ice cream and ended up staying a while because they also have about any video game you can imagine ready to play right next to the ice cream counter in a cozy warm space. Found this place while in town for a bachelor party and ended up coming back the following day with the whole gang. Serving beers from Blackbeard Brewery plus delicious ice cream - combine the two and you have yourself a tasty float! This all combined with 1000s of games to play made for a fun afternoon. This place is pretty awesome, and the ice-cream waffle cones are the best. I loved the arcade, they have retro ni tendo systems open for play as well as some of the best old arcade games. My 12 year old video gamer was in heaven.

Way overpriced for what we got (a small ice cream and two hot cocoas). The hot cocoa wasn't mixed, so it was slightly-chocolate-flavored water at first, and then cocoa powder with a hint of moisture toward the end. The gal working the counter was super nice to us and we chatted for a bit, which was the good part about our experience here. The lady wasn't very pleasant and she has no idea how to run the credit card machine. She ended up charging my mom $14,000 for 3 ice cream cones and drained her account. Then when we were trying to fix her mistakes she had the audacity to say we didn't pay for the cones. Our vacation was ruined and had no money to get home. It has been a nightmare. The ice cream was also served half melted. Stay away from Whale of a Cone.
