It's always an amazingly fun time!! They have the best prices in the tri state area and have more lanes than almost any other bowling alley. They are always trying to make the place better, and most of the employees are top-notch. If you ever have a problem, you can actually email the owner, and he will actually get back to you and try and solve the problem as best as he can himself. That's a rarity these days. Give Westbrook a chance, you won't regret it, I promise!
I love this place! The bowling is great, and it's a really nice bowling alley too, but one of the employees really isn't great. I had a disappointing experience with one of the staff members in particular. Me and my group got to the desk, only to wait 15 minutes while not even being acknowledged by the lady behind the desk. I understand that she was on the phone, but couldn't she at least have said I'll be right with you guys? So after waiting 15 minutes, she still didn't acknowledge that we were there. Ins
I go every year for the New Year celebration. It's a big family event, and we usually get around 4 lanes. My kids absolutely love it and can't wait to come back.
I took my grandkids to Westbrook bowling Lane FREE BOWLING.... on Monday around 430pm it was nice not to busy but enough ppl to enjoy urself and not get crawled. THANK YOU FOR THIS PROGRAM ??
We met there with people from work and had mixed experiences. First, I have severely limited mobility and need an electric scooter to get around. That being said those that need a ramp need to enter through the bar to use the ramp. When I entered I needed the bathroom and although they have a family/handicap bathroom it was locked. They are so understaffed that I was forced to use the regular bathroom which was very difficult. Before I left I had to use it again and found a worker who unlocked the handicap
This Bowling Center is THE BEST!!! It is second to none. The staff, Pro Shop, and Ownership are phenomenal!!! It is a true Family here at Westbrook!!! Forget the rest Westbrook is the BEST!!! For reference: I am lifetime league bowler, a parent of a high school bowler, and high school bowling coach. I know the Gold Standard when I see it... I love Westbrook Lanes!!!
Price was reasonable. $15 per person for 1 hour. Service was nice. They answered the phone right away. Took care of me quickly when I arrived. It was busy but not too crowded for a Saturday. We were easily able to get a lane.
We had great great family fun bowling at Westbrook lanes. The customer service was great & very friendly and clean. Great atmosphere! The only thing I wish is that they had some bar food. They don't serve food on Tuesdays. But overall we have a wonderful time.
Took my grand daughter to a birthday party. She had a great time. A couple of the kids had never bowled before. It wasn't a problem. There are many bowling balls to choose from.
Clean, organized and well staffed. Westbrook has been a staple in the community for decades. The Joe 300 lounge is a place where people meet and imbibe. Billiards and a jukebox, it harkens back to a simpler time. Craft beer on tap and a view of the lanes, I can't think of a better respite from the real world. Turn your phone off and roll a few games.
Stepped in on a Wednesday late afternoon and it was just the local high school leagues on one side of the building and only 2 lanes on the public side being used. Got my size 15 rentals...which just so happened to have "HOLIDAY LANES" printed on the side so I'm wondering if they were from the Holiday Lanes in Claymont, Delaware. Closed down about 20 years ago. Lanes were nice and polished but not too fast. Overall nice bowling alley and clean. Bar area with pool table and typical snack bar food. I liked it
Plenty of lanes and lanes are actually taken care of. I went bowling in Georgia last week on vacation and I couldn't get ball to catch cause they were bone dry but westbrook definitely the best in the area and great staff except for my uncle the mechanic he's a old asss bum lol
So fun! Kids and adults all had a blast. Staff is polite. Place is clean. A+
Amazing family owned bowling center. Great for leagues, a fun night out and easily the best priced gun you can have. Super cute GM too.
I love it here! I take my nephew every week because he loves it as well! The owner and staff are very friendly and the place is clean and definitely family friendly. I have not tried the cosmic bowling yet but I am very interested, does anyone know when it is?
I love this place! Family owned, good old classic wood lanes, and friendly staff. My son starts a league here in the new year, and I'm excited to get him into bowling, something I've done for over 20+ years now.
I bowl once a year weather I need to or not, my church host it's annual Sunday School Church Bowling Party as a fundraiser I used to bowl a lot when I was younger in leagues, remember most how to bowl well and try to apply annually at church Bowling Party. This year was a great time of fellowship again.
I went here with a friend of mine and we had a great time! The bowling is very reasonable and also includes your sure rental! It's an older establishment, guess you could call it dated, decor wise, but it's a very typical American back in the day look and feel bowling alley. People were super friendly and we had great service!
Westbrook lanes is a classic bowling alley. It has a fun feel for bowlers. Monday is $1 shoe and game day. They offer a domestic $1 beef special. I just wish the website said that the domestic beer deal starts at 6pm. The website is a tad misleading. But we will still come back for more fun!
Other than the grumpy young female clerk at the desk asking what we needed (to bowl, duh!) before saying hello or greeting us, the place is a great atmosphere, my children love it, and we always come back. They've been open this many years for a reason!
Love Westbrook lanes! It's always there for you when you need to ?keep calm and bowl? and it's such a plus to have a clutch knowledgeable staff and management crew running it.
Great time with the kids. We all had a FANTASTIC family night out. Arrived around 8 pm on a Saturday night and to our surprise and enjoyment it wasn't crowded at all. More than enough room to stretch out and unwind. The fact that they have a full bar and you could bring your drinks out to the lanes with you is clutch. I've been here plenty of times in the past and you'll definitely see me back in the near future. ??????????
Customer service sucks, was given attitude for asking to put the bumpers up. We have little children, and the lady at the counter was yelling at us.
Sunday night was a cheap night out 5$ 8 til midnite.Snacks were reasonable had fun.
love this place just make sure to not accidentally stumble into the handicapped bathroom if your not handicapped.
Had a great night with my family here for a great reasonable price!!! Would definitely recommend for families & date nights!! The bar also had great drinks!!
Must come here and bowl. Best prices that no one can beat and they have a great food spot inside. The owner made many upgrades. This is my bowling house and I love it here ????
Westbrook Lanes is the best bowling establishment I've ever been to. They have incredible customer service and prices. The new owner, John, is fantastic, and the other management here is great. Employees provide an overall great environment! Also, their birthday parties are a hit, and New Year's Eve is a spectacular event with them.
Nicest people. Solid lanes. Fairest prices. Please be around forever
It's a great place to take the family! The staff is always helpful and friendly. They always have great specials!
Great place to hang and throw some frustration away with friends and family! $5 SUNDAY!!!
I'm literally giving 3 stars because the rest of the staff were amazing & so nice. But that Hispanic woman was so stinking rude to me and If it weren't for, I think his name was Kevin, apologizing for her behavior I think we would of took our business elsewhere. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's like every single time she has a issue. This is the 3rd time l've said something about her nothing changes. So this is my review.
It was a chill vibe! The music was on point My sisters never been bowling before, this was their first time and we had a blast! We will definitely be coming back
Good quality, affordable bowling, for beginners and serious players. Gets busy on league nights and weekends. Customer service does a good job considering the volume of people that show up for the bar and bowling.
My son asked to be on his schools bowling team this year. I was worried because the bowling alley that they bowl at is far from our home, and it's on Sunday mornings at 9am. We decided that we would try it out one Sunday, and see how it went. The staff at Westbrook Lanes is very helpful and definitely make the kids feel welcomed. Even when we are done for the season, I think we will be visiting Westbrook Lanes for family evening bowling! Well done Westbrook Lanes ??
Me and my family had a good time but the bar closed at 2a.m bummer
This is the best bowling alley in the Delaware valley. The drinks are cheap the bowling is cheaper than corporate and it's a family run business forever. FOREVER!! In a post Covid world, they still stay open pretty gosh darn late and still cater to locals. Love you guys. Keep up the fantastic bartending Emily!!
Friday night, packed. No big deal, they don't have a waitlist to put your name and phone number down. We were told to come back in 45 minutes. As we waited at the bar numerous people finished and they were being filled with incoming people at the door. Waste of a night.
Had a blast. Great customer service
John the owner is great and funny! Great atmosphere. Great bowling alley family friendly. Has big swerve bbq as concession. Bartender on Saturdays is great, young lady fun and has great personality. The regulars are really welcoming and fun, great vibe. Leagues play here and seriously some of the best bowling I've seen great people.
Great service and good lanes. Hosted a meetup here and it was great! Staff was super helpful. Beware of the children's birthday parties on weekends. They get a little feisty. Had a great time though!
Went there with the family (hubby and 2 boys, not quite teenagers yet) and had a great time. We went in the afternoon and it wasn't super busy, yet we weren't alone either. Also not the only family- so that was nice. Price was good- even with 2 of us needing socks (which we conveniently bought from the vending machine in the lobby). Check them out, they're pretty nice! Ok- last, but not least, I was really wanting there to be food there. They don't mind having take out delivered though, so that's good.
There are many places closer to us but we drove the extra 15 minutes because the place looked family friendly for my two kids, our friend, and their kid. It was perfect for our families. The gentleman behind the counter and running the place was so incredibly nice, there are balls just the right weight for little kids, and a ramp for them to use. We were around other families, which was comfortable and put me at ease that we weren't disturbing the more serious bowlers. At the end of our time, the gentleman
Bday party ?? & staff was very helpful and accommodations were awesome
I enjoyed the spirit I had an old probably 20 years. To be honest not much changed. It still had video games that you could play still had cheesy food. It still had food and drink service.
TL;DR : 100% would recommend. Great customer service. Clean place. Friendly staff. Just go. It's fun! My family and I purchased tickets to the New Years Eve event hosted here. Unfortunately, 2 out of my 3 children came down with the flu the day before NYE. I reached out to John (who I had been in contact with for purchasing the tickets and making the reservation) to see if we had any options since we couldn't make it. He was so helpful and said he could have us come in another day/night and that I could se
Nice lanes and helpful employees.
Absolute awful customer service. I called with an issue and the manager Kathy?s attitude was totally unacceptable. She should not be a manager at all! She even went as far as saying if you want something free, just say it! Totally rude and demonstrated a total disregard for my issue. When absolutely needs training on customer service and how to remedy an issue that a customer has! They will never get my money again! Just a note to the owners.. please place as much emphasis on properly training your staff as
The management in this place is phenomenal. I've been there several times with my autistic son and they've set him up immediately. Before we even get to the counter the staff has already began prepping a lane for him. As a special needs parent I cannot express how appreciative I am for this level of compassion.
love this place. reasonable prices and has that classic bowling alley feel. I'll literally cry if they sell out to Bowlero
We went on a very busy day and time. Staff was great and kept us informed when we could get lanes. Lane conditions were fantastic. High game of 268 that day. We were next to people and a party on either side and all respectful. Definitely a fun house to bowl
Call ahead to make sure they have lane availability! Bumpers available, super friendly staff
Just went here today my first time visiting this alley. They exceeded my expectations. They made hourly announcements to remind the customers about social distancing and their security measures. The prices are amazing . $15 for 2 hours of bowing including shoes. This is a steal!! I can't wait to go back! I went with 3 kids under the age of 10 and felt so safe away from everyone. Staff was friendly and understanding when my kids kept throwing the ball and it was getting stuck!
The lack of customer service, management presence, and outdated facilities here are astoundingly lackluster and left a bad impression for my family and I while celebrating a birthday. For a Saturday evening, there was bare minimum to little staff for the amount of customers in the building. Naturally, one understands this issue given the industry and gives the benefit of the doubt. However, my family and I waited over an hour and fourty five minutes to have a lane (even after booking a 7:15pm lane at 6:15pm
I wanted to plan something for my birthday that my family could participate in. The process of reserving lanes and booking the party was very smooth. The manager was super pleasant and told me everything up front? No fine print. The staff was very helpful throughout the entire time we were there. The ONLY downside was that we waited about 2 hours for our pizza to arrive, but it was the outside pizza shop, not the bowling alley?s fault. Otherwise, couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I'm sorry my phone is so cracked I actually wanted to give it like a 4 ????????but my 2 year oldson grabbed the phone and I did t realize what he had hit and posted so I apologize so much. The bartender on Friday nite was amazing he made me a green shot that was amazing!!! My husband & I love taking our 3 kids bowling all the time do you guys still have special nights fir certain things? Anything for teens or toddlers during the day maybe on the weekends if not it's OK I've been there before it's just bee
I love coming here because of the fantastic special prices I do not see as fair priced anywhere else. Also, I am SO GRATEFUL they are open 24 hours a day. I literally travel out of state to come here and only here. However, at night it is so unpleasantly cold in here I am miserable. I tell the people working but they say they do not have control over temperature. I wear sweatshirts and pants over my pants and my hands are still shaking. I Cant and shouldn't have to wear gloves while bowling.. Plus, the bath
These lanes are a lot of fun! We brought our 2 year old and they have bumpers and these little ramp things that she was able to push the ball down. Altogether, she was able to keep picking up and carrying her own ball, setting it down on the ramp, was able rack up a decent score and had a wonderful time. It was accessible enough to her that we didn't have to run around corralling her so we could enjoy a little bit of time ourselves with the group we had met at the Lanes for some good times after work. Than
The fine gentlemen working today at 12 pm behind the counter made my experience most enjoyable for my son's birthday. I did not catch his name, but he was very friendly to my family, and accommodating to all requests.
Good experience, friendly employees
We had an awesome time. But we did have to wait for an hour. We had 6 in our party . And of course you can't eat in there. The bar was open so that's a plus and they are on you to make sure you take a drink and put your mask right back on. But it was a fun time overall
Very disappointed, we were told our Friday night league will not be wanted back next year, our league has been bowling there for over 35 years. They told us since we are now a small league they would be losing money, they also said we don't spend enough in the bar (which I thought was ridiculous) (so they're saying drink a lot and drive home). Not very good business. No dedication to their leagues. So I'm telling all my family and friends not to bowl there for any reason, especially when there are other All
I always have fun when I go there
Much better run establishment than a place like bowlero. Cheaper too. Lanes are always in decent shape when I come in to practice. Looking forward to joining leagues here.
They do a great job of staying clean. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable. If you have a groupon, you need to give 24 hours notice before coming.
Had a good time! They are a lil slow @ the bar though. We wanted to order a 2nd round of drinks & the guy never came back to us & there were 3 of us! The guy just acted like we didn't exist!!
Great bowling alley, perfect for groups. Dollar night is AWESOME.
Honestly cannot say anything bad about Westbrook. The staff are friendly, courteous and always helpful. It's clean and what more could you ask for honestly. Just maybe they should provide lighter balls for the little people. I'm 5'2 " and about 106 lbs. All of the balls are too heavy. Not really a complaint. Overall a great place for family and friends to get together and have a good time. A retraction from my last review from May. All I can say is "Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned"! Absolut
UPDATE: changed from 1 star to 4 stars. The owner reached out to make things right which I appreciate. I love supporting privately owned bowling alleys so I am glad to that I can put Westbrook Lanes back in my rotation. Leaving the original review for context. ORIGINAL: My two friends and I who bowl in a league together (elsewhere) went bowling here and paid for a 2 hour session. We found after 10 minutes that the lane conditions were not suitable (no oil). We asked for a remedy and we were given two choi
Great place for league/tournaments or just to have fun time with friends. Staff is super friendly!
Fun for the whole family!
Nice family owned pla
This bowling alley is very much RACIST! They will let you bowl if you are of color won't turn down your money but they very much do segregate you from the white people. I've been here couple of times and every time never fails. They need a major upgrade and new owners. I see the owner responded to my review! I was not at your bowling alley last night I haven't been there in MONTHS!!! so I guess all black people look the same to you ?? I have never been rude to any of your staff or damaged any of your prope
Be very careful you don't even step one foot over that foul line. I fell in there and pulled my hamstring. Management did not even call me too and sure I was okay the next business day. They use too much wax / oil on their Lanes. You go there with your kids to have a good time not to have to be carried out. I was not able to walk for 3 weeks. I will never again go to this place. You get what you pay for. I got a great deal on Groupon however in the end it cost me a lot more!!
The lack of management and customer services skills at this establishment is ridicoulous. I was told to wait for a lane 45 minutes I waited at the bar where I could obviously see people being given lanes while I was still waiting. I came back 45 minutes to ask where my lane was and the girl at the register acted like she never saw me before. I was like well can I get a lane now. She ignored me and took some guys that just walked in. I waited another 30 minutes for them to finally give me a lane. The young g
When we arrived 2 workers (apologies names unknown) ignored us and talked to themselves. After a few minutes the female apologized and we got a lane. Approached to throw and all 3 of my family members stuck on their approaches. This is very painful in bowling if you expect to slide , but are jerked to a stop. Male employee tried a spray on the lane, but it didn't work. We walked on a few lanes to try and slide, but all were tacky. We had to leave disappointed and with me in pain. Edit: I appreciate the r
I come here often. The employee who always makes me feel like I'm at home is Allison. She's very cordial and informative. Prices are fair. Safety during Covid is taken very seriously.
We celebrated our daughters birthday today and we had the best time! Such a fun, clean family environment . Would recommend Westbrook to anyone!
Hubby and I come here to play pinball. They have 3 machines. Monopoly, tales of Arabian nights and cirqus Voltaire. The tales of Arabian nights doesn't have sound so you need a second person to tell you where to shoot the ball. Monopoly does have sound, and cirqus Voltaire has sound but the flipper doesn't work properly. We still come tho to play, because the next closest pinball machine is Elvira at paulsboro. That's broke too though.
Nice place to go and have fun. I can't bowl but I do enjoy taking my wife and kids here when time permits. They were very nice and helpful to us while we were there. I would caution the pricing of playing a few rounds of bowling. It ads up quickly. The food offered at the snack bar was tasty. The staff is pretty attentive to your needs which makes for a good time.
Attended a small birthday gathering and was quite impressed... Clean all around, even the restrooms were in order... The staff was extremely helpful and courteous... Good atmosphere... Had so much fun..
Came here recently on a Saturday around 1:30 things were not enforced, the blonde girl with glasses at the desk was rude and unfriendly while the other blonde girl was running around doing all of the hard work. I loved coming to this place about 4 years ago. Now it's absolutely terrible especially with these Covid guidelines in place that are not seeming to be followed or enforced properly. Don't waste your money
It was a good idea to have a great time and it was first time there...
I didn't really care for this place too much. To be fair, I've only ever been once but it was a slightly uncomfortable visit. I personally did not feel "welcome" there, but besides that there wasnt much to it. Not really any food and/or drinks, they don't play any music so it was kind of dull as well. Idk just not what I am used to I suppose.
We come here every Monday faithfully we don't miss a Monday we love comin in here the staff is great with us. We should have our own spot how much we come here with our group we get to meet good people. We live the door lady I forget her name she is great it her last because of the Phillies game. We live coming here it feel like family. Thank you...
I love this place but just wish the ?incident?? was spoken about more and told to families taking their kids here and what the precautions the management team will be taking. But I understand it's a business honesty is hard to have.
The BEST place to create FUN memories with ALL the family, adults AND children (TY, "Joe 300") and ALL friends!!! The laid-back atmosphere allows comfort, ability to unwind and BE HAPPY. I especially LOVE their New Year's Eve parties!!
It's good cause it stays open late but by end of day lanes are so sticky you can't slide.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
