If you're looking for an afternoon of pure nostalgic joy or just a place to let the kids burn off some energy, West Seattle Arcade is a total winner. Tucked into the heart of West Seattle, this spot is an absolute gem. It's a cozy, well-kept arcade with just the right mix of old-school classics and modern favorites. Think Pac-Man and pinball side by side with air hockey and multiplayer racing games. What really makes this place shine is the vibe. It's family-friendly but still totally cool for date nights
This is a really cool little arcade! Had some games I hadn't seen in any other arcades in the area. Prices are reasonable actually, or at least on par with the arcades found in Seattle and around this area. Really good prize selection. All the games were working which was super nice, not all arcades keep up maintenance. Big shout-out to the employee working behind the prize center!! She was so nice and friendly and got us all set up while explaining how it works. Excellent customer service! Overall had a gr
Absolutely stunning service! Especially from Micheal the gentleman at the counter, he was extremely polite with a great sense of humor! He made us feel like we were very welcome! I look forward to returning and spending quality family time especially to see him again! Thank you west Seattle arcade for a great family experience!!
My son and I had a great time! This place has a good mix of new and classic arcade games, pinball, and ticket machines. Street Fighter 2 and Mariokart for the win! This was more affordable than most arcades. We played mostly two player games and our $30 card lasted us a little over an hour. We'll definitely be back.
Wow!! 10/10. My two kids play with 20$ (10 each) for an hour. So many nostalgic games!! We had such a good time. This is a highlight of our west Seattle trip. I would recommend to anyone!
Outstanding staff, great arcade in a gorgeous location in Seattle. Had my son?s 5th birthday party there. Highly recommend to have a kids birthday party here. Drinks, snacks, utensils, plates and napkins included with the rental of the party space. Super accommodating staff members throughout the process of the party. Parking for you during your party is arranged by the arcade. Thank you for making our son?s birthday epic.
It was a fun stop for an hour or so. It's not too pricy and has fun games for everyones age. They have some retro games and pinball as well. It's part of the Alki experience. And it's right across the street from Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop and a dozen other restaurants. You can't go wrong!
About 3 games in here are great and super worthwhile. The rest are meh. We spent $50 between 2 people and were here for about an hour and a half. Cool place overall but more a spot for kids than anything Edit: I did not realize there was a different arcade that's more for adults just down the road ?? Entirely on me, I'm not local haha. The Godzilla VR and Taiko games were my favorite at this spot
We have a lot of fun in this arcade it bring back childhood memory we play pinball most and we love it
Good arcade selection, they have a pump it up cabinet and their dollar to token conversion is SO MUCH CHEAPER than Dave and Busters and Round 1.
Took my team out for some fun on Alki Beach last night and we had an absolute blast at West Seattle Arcade! They have an impressive selection of games, and you can tell a lot of thought went into curating them. We particularly loved their fantastic pinball collection which spanned the decades. This brought back some nostalgic memories and the owner Matt gave us a rundown of each game's history. We built up some friendly competition gaming for tickets and prizes. And I have to note Asphalt 9 - stole the
I love taking my family here anytime we're close to Alki. We love the games, the staff is friendly, there's a great mix of prizes, and we love how everything is kept on the card. We always have a blast!
I had such a blast at this arcade! I had no idea, but they actually stayed open after their regular hours just so I could finish my game. It's a pretty good-sized place and it's jam-packed with awesome games. Plus, your money really stretches here. I'll definitely be coming back again!
Really over priced. But if you are on alki beach in Seattle packing around a group of kids and you have a great bank account, this is the good place to take a break from the weather elements
Fun little arcade spot near many restaurants. Great to hit up before or after a meal to add to your plans or date night!
Great arcade, clean, great game selection. The location is great, right across from Alki Beach. Love the Astro City cabinets, great selection of fighting games and shmups. Great selection of pinball games, some new and some old.
Love having this arcade right here in the neighborhood! Always a great stop to make!
Great little arcade with an excellent variety of games for a small venue. I was also surprised by how great the service was. They do not have food or beverages but not too bad since there's a wide variety of f&b just outside on the boulevard. I don't live on alki beach but my nephew has fun and I would go out of my way to go back.
This place is okay. My kid played the game where you win rolls of tickets and the machine counts them electronically instead of giving you the actual tickets and he kept track of the amount he won. When he got to the counter to cash in, the count on his card was less than he won on the machine. The guy working just shrugged and couldn't be bothered by the discrepancy. We wound up with a bunch of small cheap crap instead of a couple bigger items. Probably won't come back.
Super fun place to host a birthday party. The staff were really attentive and had everything ready for our guests. The arcade is small but has a really well rounded collection of classic and modern arcade games (there is a taiko drum arcade which is the best!) So happy WS gets to have a place like this!
Best Birthday Space in West Seattle. We had a great time. The kids loved it. They have a nice private ish area for the party to sit and eat, and it was very affordable. They provided snacks and drinks and had it decorated cute. The owners and staff were very helpful and kind. We loved this place for a party and we love it for a fun outing.
On the smaller side, but still a fun place and worth the visit. The prizes are better than the ones offered at Chuck E. Cheese and most games cost .50-$1. I believe they only had two games that were $2.50... a racing game and SpongeBob VR game. The employee (guy with glasses) who helped us was very nice and helpful.
I went here a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised! They have a good variety of games and I would say it's a good place to spend 30 if you need some time to kill. The size is a bit bigger than your average Mover theater arcade. I'd love it if you could get a Japanese game (mainly taking about Super Dragonball heroes)
Had my birthday here and it was fun! Overall good variety of games and they even had my favorite pinball machine the adams family. Only bad part about the arcade is its a little cramped. If they got rid of one of the tables or both that they rent out for parties I think the whole place would feel alot easier to walk around in. Besides that its a great new arcade that I hope can succeed!
staff is very nice, easy to use card system, all the games are in great condition. good mix of games. it's kid friendly for sure and they do birthdays but it's def not just for kids??
Terrible place! They host 2 birthday parties at the same time. The area gets so packed that it is impossible to walk. Very loud. Some arcades were out of service. A place where you will spend a lot of money for nothing. Better to take that money and go to a movie theater or buy your kid something useful. This is 100% money sucker.
Super fun & family friendly arcade! They have something for all ages with a wide selection of modern arcade machines, Japanese imports, and both vintage and modern pinball. Very clean, comfortable, and everything is super well maintained. You can really feel the passion and care that the owners have for this space!
So nice to have something off this quality over here. Could they have better games, sure. But this is a great start? if they are open to feedback and stay relevant it will be around for a while. Honestly, they have my favorite game Marvel vs. CAPCOM 2? so I'm good!!
We just had a birthday party at this arcade. It was fantastic! Staff was incredibly helpful and patient with a pretty large group. Highly highly recommend.
Super clean, fun games and I would agree some of the best prize selection I've seen at an arcade! Truly an asset to W.S. ??
What a fun arcade for a late night trip in an awesome neighborhood. Love the card system they use. Makes it easy to pay for games and track tickets. Staff was really friendly and helpful too!
My daughter had a Birthday party here. Everything is well run with helpful and accommodating staff. Fun selection of popular and unique games.
It's fun and I am happy that they are in west Seattle. I wish they were in a place where parking was easier. As others have noted it feels a bit cramped in there. For the rest, prizes are in line with most arcade places.
Nice and clean, with a variety of game options. Also the prize wall has great options. The only fix is to have unlimited passes for birthday parties.
Great little arcade right by the beach with fun games and generous prizes.
This arcade is amazing! They have new and great choices of games, and love the vibe next to the beach. Will 100% be back and even better than Round 1!
Great little spot with a lot of games at reasonable prices and cool prizes. Went here for a kid?s birthday party and we all had a lot of fun!
Finally a place that isn't completely pickleball! Great arcade games with lots of options. Everything worked great and you don't need quarters!
So much fun!!! I'm so excited this is in the area. Perfect for after a dinner date at alki and a drink.
Amazing place! I'm 66 and have grandchildren so this is my go to place for entertainment. Clean, exciting and happy family fun.
Games are priced way too high. Need to limit number of adults per kid.
I brought my daughter here for her birthday and it couldn't have been a better experience! Accommodations and hospitality were above and beyond!!!
High ticket payouts, normal prices for cards. It is a nice small arcade with unique and fun machines.
What a fun place! Fits the Alki vibe perfectly. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond!
They have Marvel Vs Capcom 2! I'm not claiming to be any good at the game, but would love to have meet ups to play.
Fun games, awesome staff, great location! What else do you need?
First arcade Ive been to with actual cool prizes.
Great games and great price must visit in west seattle! This place is a gem.
Love this arcade. Marvel versus Capcom 2 ASG number one score come and get me
Great little arcade, clean place, good games
No food at the place and it's pricey to play
Fun place for kids. Pinball for adults.
Great for kids birthday parties
Awesome place for kids
Fun arcade, mostly prize and redemption games but also some rad arcade games. Your play card here also works at the arcade down the street, Garys Place.
Cute little arcade. We enjoyed ourselves.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision. Modern machines boast vivid displays, booming sound systems, and diverse song libraries, from J-pop to EDM. They challenge reflexes and rhythm, with competitive leaderboards and tournaments fostering a lively community. Arcade dance floors are regularly packed, proving rhythm games’ immersive, physical thrill keeps them a standout in today’s gaming scene.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
