Wausau On Water (WOW Family Entertainment Center)

While this place can be fun and my kids love going, the greediness and shadiness of management takes this place way down. Anyone who comes here consistently will notice the jackpots on many games consistently go down over time. But I finally had it this last time. My kids love playing the goldfish bowl game and we noticed the ball just falling straight down in spots. We noticed these people literally took out pegs from inside the machine so the ball cannot fall certain ways lol. That is well beyond scummy.

Great time as always at WOW. Treated a Grandson to a special birthday outing alone. We went on one of the busiest days of the year and we knew it. Half price Tuesday during Spring Break. The staff met the challenge and was efficient and excellent as always. Birthday boy's choice was Nacho appetizer and pizza entree and both were excellent and affordable. Every experience I've had at WOW has been better than the last. Staff seem to always be happy and positive, the arcade games never get old, and the food, though definitely on the pricier side, is amazing! If you traveling through the Wausau area, or live here, and have 1-2 hours to kill, stop by.

Arcade was fun - plenty of room between games to accommodate large number of occupants but the food was horrible. Our waitress was awesome, I felt terrible for her. We waited over an hour only to be told the item I ordered was no longer available - no big deal it happens - I chose another menu item. Apparently the rest of my family?s food sat while my new choice was made because everyone?s food except mine was ice cold. They gave us a discount but the food was inedible and disgusting. Purchased the premium package for our party of 10 a week prior to our arrival. A little miscommunication regarding the laser tag but solved quickly by Dakota to be on the next reservation. Requested the cards for the arcade while we waited, and again, another miscommunication and Dakota had to track down our server to find out who had them. Once we were done with laser tag, the adults ordered entrees (4) while waiting for the kids' pizzas to be done, which we were informed would be done shortly after laser

Atmosphere was good, sadly service was not. Food arrived cold, waitress didn't seem engaged in her job - didn't apologize or check in with us. It wasn't busy. She spent a lot of time chatting with coworkers by the bar. Kids had fun at the arcade, but we're hesitant to go back for a meal.

Food was good service was great. The staff in the arcade was undertrained and rude. Staff couldn't add up the points on our cards and made a rude comment to my daughter after my wife complained about being shorted points.

The arcade games were fun, and the mac and cheese is good. However, my "'medium" burger was overdone and charred. Margarita tasted like a bad mix, but that tasted good compared to the wine. I don't expect top quality at a place like this, but this was bad even by lower standards.

Had a good experience for dinner. I was with a party of 5 adults. Suggest the Giant pretzel. I was pleasantly surprised on how good this was. Service was good. Poor guy was one of 2 servers on the floor and they were busy.

Fun for the whole family, arcade games, laser tag, food and bar. Not all game give ticket rewards though, so check before playing if you are focused on winning prizes. The games that don't give tickets are still great to play though! You can save you tickets/points for future visits to get bigger prizes!

A fun place for a party! The food was okay (we had a variety of pizza where some were better than others). There is a back room to reserve if you want a private party. The servers and bartenders were great! The draft beer prices were amazing! The games are over-priced but fun. I wish we would have had time to try out the laser tag. Worth a visit, but definitely expect to spend some money.

Went here with my boyfriend. Last night had fun playing game like always. But I was very disappointed with drinks I got two Blackberry margarita got and both of them literally couldn't taste any alcohol and it was pretty much clear barely any brandy and I'm not even a drinker just got them because it was my birthday. but nachos were pretty good. And My boyfriend said his Mountain Dew tasted bad. He said tasted like it was mostly water. ?? I'll definitely be coming back for the games, but nothing else

I've been to this place now a few times and I have to say it's gotten better and better as time has gone on. The games are fun, the food and drinks are good, and the restaurant adds to the river side area as a whole. It's nice to sit outside on a nice day and watch the water and it's super fun to plays games on a Tuesday night. I'm glad this place is here and I hope they keep up the good work!

We had an absolute blast at WOW today! This place has it all! Food, drinks, an awesome arcade, and literally the most fun Lazer tag I've ever played. They have a wide variety of games for all tastes and skill levels (and they all work- I've been to arcades where it seems like half of them are broken.) They prizes were really great, too. Fun and unique stuff, things that will actually get used! The manager, Josh was great, too. I can't say enough good about our experience today! Wellybe back soon!

An amazing place with a huge gaming room and private rooms for special events such as birthday parties. The view from the room was beautiful. The staff was very accommodating. I would have given a 5 but an associate at the ticket redemption disk refused to honor a patron who mentioned a malfunction in a machine. Rather than have the machine opened to retrieve the stuck card. The associate refused and the patron left the redemption area sad since the associate would not allow the patron to purchase the item

Crazy fun. It really doesn't matter at what age you start. Taking your kids to this. They have something from the very small to the very big kids, including your husband LO. L. They have a good amount of games. However, there isn't too many that are built for little or kids. And I have noticed that theres some now that cost about two dollars and fifty cents for 1 play. Food was what could be expected from a venue like this. I would put it slightly better than Applebee's. Service definitely could have been better. We waited multiple times on forgotten drinks, but overall I have had worse. My kids enjoyed the arcade but later in the evening it started to get packed. Overall I would go again for a drink and the games, but likely would skip the food.

Awesome place for some great fun, even for adults. Not as big as a Dave & Busters but still a good size. Coin Pusher is by fair the best game. We walked away with some of the biggest prizes and had a ton of fun as adults. (See pictures)

My wife and I went there for our first time and absolutely loved it, had such a great time that we felt like kids again! The hostess, waitstaff, bartenders, and arcade staff were all just wonderful. I had the fish and chips while she had the chicken tenders, both of which tasted great. The dining room had a nice view of the sunset which was an added bonus. The arcade was just so much fun too. We'll definitely be coming back.

It's a fun place to visit with kids. Food was ok. We liked the Chili cheese Pizza. The wings was overcooked and disappointingly cold inside. The sauce was hot but when I took a bite, the meat was cold. The server was very nice.

Last time we ordered takeout here we got the bourbon brisket grilled cheese sandwich and the brisket consisted of little cubes of fat, no meat to be found. Disgusting.

Fun arcade. I like that you don't have to keep track of tokens or tickets, it's all on a card so you can keep accumulating at subsequent visits. Took my child and a few friends. Good time. Beautiful water views outside as well. Can't speak to the restaurant or laser tag portions.

WOW is a nice family spot with a nice restaurant and game area. It's a great place to take kids on the weekend. It even has a big laser tag arena in the back. The food is really good and the facility seems to be adding new games to the game area so it's becoming more engaging for teens and adults. There is a small party area but it's open and is a bit noisy. On busy nights, service can be a bit slow, but you can keep yourself entertained while you wait for the food.

Loud, fun, not as expensive as you might think. Definitely better in the summer when your kids can access the amazing playground outside.

Always have a good experience here with my son. Food is always good and there is a large patio if you're looking for some downtime outside. It's pretty safe bet to order a burger, right? Well tonight we were proven wrong when my boyfriend noticed halfway through his burger that It was completely raw. I absolutely love WOW! I'm so happy it was open on Easter so my family could do something fun! The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly and amazing. The game we were playing kept having the coins and cards get stuck so he had to come and fix it multiple times and he never complained once! He never had a dirty look on his face or his friendly demeanor never changed. Yes, it can get expensive but it's completely worth it!

Ate dinner here and the food was awful. We ordered two orders of chicken wings and the both orders the chicken still had feathers attached. WoW restaurant and bar is a hidden gem. Their food selection is a mix of pub grub and some nicer entr?es. They have a full bar, and their drink prices are decent. Their staff was very attentive and engaging. We will be back to try other food items.

WOW is a great place for kids to burn energy or for adults to have a nice meal. The staff are all real nice and helpful, especially in the arcade. If you're wondering what WOW is, if you've ever been to a Dave and Busters or a Main Event its kind of like that, just smaller.

Dinner was amazing. The staff was working hard and fast but needed some help so the bar tender stepped in to take tables. Kim was our bar tender and server and she was fantastic! Some of the best table service we have had, ever. Our whole party loved her. She even scolded the kitchen staff for us when they goofed a sandwich up. She credited us a portion of that item as well. Went for a kids birthday party for my son, our waitress Brenda was great. The food was good, even the Gluten free pizza! Lots of space to sit and visit in the bar area, while the kids played games. The birthday party package was well worth it, as each kid got a card and that was worth it!! Best part no cleaning up! Will be back again.

Don't dine in with a large group. We were very excited to eat here again while visiting family. We have a larger group 12 adults and 4 babies. We were given a ?limited? menu to chose our meals from due to the size of our group. It was a 1/4 the size of the actual menu. Great place for families! For what we have in wausau it's pretty good. It's next to the water for a pretty scenery, has a kids playground, and also briks during summer hours. There is a restaurant but from my past experience, you'll be waiting a long time to be served.

If you want to get divorced from a bunch of cash, come here! Ouch! You can have a meal at the complex, too, and that wasn't too bad. Love this place. The games are great to keep the kids occupied or even make for an amazing date night! Laser tag is open again and their set up is so cool! Be that as it may, the arcade isn't the reason to go, in my opinion it's the food I thoroughly enjoy. I've been there a handful of time and each and every time the wait staff is delightful and the food is prepped with standards and it shows. Not much of a drinker these days but they had some decent beer tapped too; it is Wisconsin after all. :)

The kids(teenagers, a few 21 year olds) always love going here. It's an amazing to place to go on a Sunday or Friday or even during the week. They have coffee, regular and decaf, plenty of games. Plenty of running around space. The bar/dining/ game area are well placed.

We had a small retirement party there yesterday over lunch. The manager I spoke to a couple times setting it up was awesome. Wasn't expecting it to be so "set up" I figured it would just be the pizzas we ordered on our table, but they set up a nice buffet table. Every staff member I bothered with a request was super nice. I have eaten here on many occasions and the food and drink have been great. The staff are super nice and attentive. If you think you don't want the arcade atmosphere and how good could the food be?,,,just try it, you will be happy. My son and I love coming here. The laser-tag is amazing. The food is exceptional aside from a bit of a wait to get a table and then again once seated to order. However the food was outstanding! My only complaint about the arcade is there's seemingly always a higher than what I think should be normal amount of ?out of order? machines. All in all we love it here.

Had a great spontaneous day in the recently rearranged arcade with our 9 year old! Arcade side everything was top notch. We paused for dinner and that side was disappointing. Took 15 minutes to seat the three of us in a nearly empty dining room. After we were seated it was puzzling to see about 15 employees who were mostly interested in talking with each other, including some pausing to eat and drink themselves. Food was quick and above average so that was nice. 45 minutes and we only saw our waiter 3 times

The waitress was nice and the cheese curds were good. My burger was not good, it was burnt, dry, and smelled funny. The beef smelled funny and tasted awful. The rest of the meal was good. I think they need to do something about the taste of their burgers.(the beef)

Went here for the first time. I have to say I was totally amazed. This is just what Wausau needed! I met my friend and our kids are both around 18 months. Lunch was great lots of healthy options and the fresh fruit was actually fresh berries! The food was great. Reasonably priced, great portions. We let the kids play around in the arcade they loved looking at the lights and played a few games that they could. Everything was very clean. Staff was super friendly. Loved it! Can't wait to go back!
