This place is awesome! I took my family for my son?s 17th birthday. It was our first experience and boy did we have fun. I think my husband and I had more fun than the children. We laughed and talked about it the whole car ride home. Hubby complained about being sore afterwards (Bad knees and back). The staff go up and beyond to accommodate your party. I even fell and tried getting up. They were right there to assist me. Lol the wooden rail I was grabbing for to help me up wasn't there in reality. They s
My daughter and her friend (12) enjoyed the experience! I'm glad they are open so close to home in El Cerrito. They were professional and it was easy to book with them. We will definitely come back.
Our son had his 9th birthday party here and had a great time. They had 6 circles set up where each kid could be stationed and playing with the VR equipment. They also had screens (tvs or iPads) set up where you could see what each kid was seeing. They had a variety of games. Beat Saber was the most popular and worked well, though the roller coasters and boxing were also popular. We tried rec room to start but the controls are a bit trickier for younger kids who aren't familiar with VR. The staff work
I took my kids here for the 1st time it was my some birthday and they loved it, they allowed the kid?s to really enjoy themselves. Now we no kids always need help with their devices they helped every step of the way. Make sure you bring the kids here they will love it for sure
Brought my husband here for a date and we had a really fun time. It's surprising how much you get into the game, we were catching our breath in between rounds! We played 3 games in our 45 minutes. Staff is friendly.
Wow, my nephew had a great time at VRWePlay! The place is clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. We would definitely come back again. Highly recommended??
I took my son there as a birthday present. He had a blast playing SUPERHOT VR, and I enjoyed floating around an ISS simulation. Would definitely recommend.
They put on a great party for my son's birthday, super helpful and keen to make sure the kids had fun! Thank you.
First time going to a VR place, loved it! So fun. Andrew was so nice and accommodating to our schedule.
Amazing!!! Very fun for kids and adults. I think I had more fun then the kids lol this was a great experience we will return again.
Wouldn't recommend. Same Price as Sandbox VR without the quality equipment or gaming experience.
Highly recommend the experience, it was super fun! Didn't know I could sweat this much playing video games; will definitely be coming back soon
What a great experience! Highly recommend
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
