Customer Reviews

Michael, Julie & Team were absolutely amazing! They took great care of us. The Free Roam was our absolute favorite. You literally go into a whole new dimension & they guided us the entire time. We highly recommend! We are so excited to return!

Edit to add we visited May 28, 2025. This was I believe our 3rd trip to VR Adventure and it did not fail us. I had a group of about 15 people doing various activities. Each employee was very helpful, very friendly, and very kind at explaining games and directions and even just having conversations with the kids. The arcade room was super fun and basically all the games worked (skeet ball didn't, but I also didn't ask about it being plugged in or anything). Everything was clean, well maintained, and it was c

This is a great place for beginners of VR and average Quest users. For new ones Free-Roam is a great introduction for its simplicity and ease into the game environment. And even if you already play VR its really fun to be be able to walk around and not stuck to one space. Another thing is the Haptics Vests which is a highly recommended experience in my opnion for even if you're new or used to VR it adds extra immersion for a cheaper price than buying the equipment yourself. If you've tried free-roam and enj

Had my sons birthday party here today & it was AMAZING to say the least!!! All of the kids had so much fun & there wasn't one dull moment. Every kid was occupied & having fun at all times. There's so much to do & play. Even the dads got in on the action & had a blast. If you're thinking about having a party here, 100% recommended!!

So much fun being able to play and interact with my friends within the virtual reality games. The staff was super helpful and polite. The robot head shooter and bow & arrow games were my favorite. Definitely a unique and fun experience!

Had a ton of fun here! We did the open space VR zombie game, was super easy for the first timers and nobody felt sick. This is a great value for the money, highly recommended. I'll be trying the racing sims next!

We had my son?s 15th birthday party here and it was a great experience. My two younger ones also got to enjoy it. They finally talked me into playing and I wish I would have done it sooner. We had so much fun and the staff is amazing. We for sure will be back to play.

My family and I visit there when we went to Pensacola and we absolutely loved it. The game prices was reasonable for the amount of fun you actually have. We normally play games that we are competing with each other. But it felt nice to do something other than that. And we actually played a game where we Relied on each other. and work together as a team and I love that.

Me and my best friend are visiting Pensacola for the first time and we stopped by and had the best time! We played a total of five escape rooms with the VR set and wanted to stay longer to play more. There were a couple of glitches but that's to be expected with something electronic and we didn't let it stop us from having fun. The owner was extremely nice and gave us a discount for the glitches even though we didn't ask for one. He was very informative about the process and how each section worked. If we a

Wonderful experience for my first time trying VR games. Michael F. was very helpful to me and is very good teacher as well. I enjoyed it so much that I will go back for more as much as I can. Thank you all!

My 9 yo had a great time playing VR. There were a lot of appropriate game options for him. The staff and owner were all very courteous and knowledgeable about the equipment and available gaming choices. Everything was clean and sanitized after each use. I highly recommend VR Adventure!

This place is a hit with my eight-year-old granddaughter! Bringing her here earned me some serious Mimi points, and I couldn't be happier. The staff is fantastic, providing wonderful assistance to both of us. Highly recommended!

Manager was very rude to me and my friends when we went in. We were very polite but he rushed us and was very loud in his tone. Management might need to be fixed . The workers where very calm and she also help is a lot.

My son had his Birthday party here recently and every single kid is already begging to go back! Not only did the kids have the best time, so did the parents in the arcade with old school games in the back. Great staff and very clean -- highly recommend!

This is a great place to go when wanting a break from the outside! Fantastic employees and environment!!

This place just opened and it was really fun. They have a few single VR stations set up and a VR Laser Tag area where you can move around..No Cord. This was definitely a new way to play that was really fun.

The whole family had a great time. We will definitely be back for more!

This place is so great! My boys and I played together in one of their virtual reality games and it was very cool. You get to move around and play solo or with groups! The staff are very friendly and informative. Far better than your average arcade!!

Super fun, exceeded all my expectations, do it, spend the money and play any of it, it will satisfy

Edit submitted for classless and petty response of management. Will never return. Original post left for context. Extremely fun with the right company but metered and pricey. If you own your own headset, most of this seems a bridge too far. The plus side is that you can play VR with your family right there with you, for many, owning more than one vr set is rare so for group play, particularly in large room scale environments, this place is great but the experiences are still a bit too short and pricey. I

Went to VR Adventure Zone with 4 adults and 2 teens during a spring break trip to Pensacola. We had a great time! Everyone enjoyed the VR group game. Also spent a couple of hours playing video games in the arcade. We spent 3 hours there, but could have spent more time.

I had an absolute blast at Adventure Zone! Ive never tried and VR sim racing game before and it was next level, i dont think i can play a normal racing game again. If you're not into racing they have a 600sqft VR Room where you can have the space to really explore a game. they even have motion sickness candies to help customers who have issues with that. 11/10 would recommend and i cant wait to go back

Very pleasant staff and a great experience, 10/10 do recommend

Loved the experience my family and I had while visiting the mall in Pensacola. There were multiple VR settings to choose from and we tried all of them. The team was very helpful and friendly. We had a blast! Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area.

Was completely nothing like what it was advertised to be. Describing to the kids what it was, and then getting there and doing it was like night and day difference. Alot of glitching and for kids that don't have and or never did VR before it was very foreign to them and the worker was more into talking to my wife then actually coaching or helping my son get the hang of it.. and the more my son could not get it, he was getting angry at it. Found myself trying to tell him how to do itt morethenn the worker.

I brought my daughter to play VR today. She had a great experience. There was no waiting for games to download and she was helped every step of the way to get started. I read the reviews previously and prepared myself for a bad experience, but I was pleasantly surprised that was not the case.

They said ?we are fully booked until 4? so we booked for 4 and came back at 4 and then we're told they had to clean up. Then we sat down to wait and another family was let in. We asked why and they said because they had been waiting and it was their turn. So they lied about why it's taking longer. This just makes the company seem unprofessional.

The virtual zombie survival game was pretty damn legit. 10/10 would quit my job and play this 24/7 if they had more missions.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! It took forever to get set up and half the games are either not loaded or not working. There was one employee there trying to run 5 VR stations, 3 axe throwing stations and answer the phone. The equipment would stop working and had to be reset several times. I don't blame the employee, she was trying her hardest to keep up. But it was just one excuse after another. They definitely need more employees running the place.. For the money I would rather stay home and use my VR on my pl

I took my nephew because he really wanted to try it out. For me, it was confusing because I am not a gamer. We did the virtual escape room on a space ship. That was ridiculously hard. Everything we did to try to figure it out didn't work. In my opinion, not the best use of my money. But he enjoyed killing the zombies with his mom and so did she. Now I know VR is not for me.

This place is surprisingly cheap and has a wide selection of VR games to choose from. There is also axe throwing in case you may be interested in that! I visit this place often and the staff is always super friendly and ready to help if there are any issues with the equipment. Great place, definitely recommend ??

Great place to take the kids for a great afternoon of fun. Ever since it went under new management the place has been clean, the staff has been knowledgeable and attentive, and they are adding to an already excellent selection of games and gaming systems everytime I am there

Would've for the 1st time been able to try out this cool looking place with my 2 children but sadly could not because they required a mask for a "pandemic" that's caused the deaths of .02% of Florida's population. Got ice cream and a video game from game stop instead.

Took my daughter here today and had a great experience. Excellent game selection, friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend Vr adventure zone located Inside Cordova mall.

I love all the workers

I had a little of fun there was like no games on the headset but me and my friend played one game together the staff was not so helpful I would not recommend this place and most of the games where not downloaded so I had to wait for them to download which my time did not pause

New management! Raven Cochran is so helpful. This place is so much fun! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a fun experience!

I was given a gift card for here and I was very excited, it was amazing and I would definitely recommend this. I tried the job simulator, I would definitely recommend that.

It was a ton of fun! We did one of the zombie games and had a blast

This store is under new management and I assure you these issues have been addressed and we are here for you to have an amazing gaming experience every time. If not we'll make it right!

My sister and I had a blast, and the guys were cool, definitely recommend.

Absolute fun at VR Adventure Zone! Went once and now back for my daughters birthday! We love it so much!

Great experience for my first time trying VR very helpful staff members even took pictures and videos of us while we played

Came to check this place out for a birthday party and they were closed an hour and half early! Even after we called and told them we were coming, shame you lost this sale ??

Michael is a super great guy to work with and he will help you out as best as he can. Thanks for everything! - Tara

Great! Fun for the little ones and the adults. Staffs fun and helpful will definitely be coming back!

Love this place! And the manager, she's so nice and gracious; offers to help you with anything g you may need.

The two workers here were very nice & friendly, especially Ari, who helped me navigate the mall.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
