Customer Reviews

We had an unforgettable time at this amazing arcade near Niagara Falls! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant lighting and high-tech games got all of us?especially the kids?excited. A huge shoutout to Cesur and Matthew, who provided top-notch service and made us feel so welcome. They were patient, kind, and super helpful throughout our visit. The highlight for us was the VR experience with 360? rotation?it was absolutely thrilling! My kids couldn't get enough of it, and I even tried it myself. It was s

I'm looking forward to my next visit as this was a very decent arcade sadly the Dark Ride wasn't operational on my visit but maybe next time. As for the rest of the place as a whole it was very clean and the staff we're very friendly and helpful as one of the ski machines broke down during my play and they quickly fixed it and got me another game started right away.

Had my son?s 13th here in Jan 2025. He said it was his best birthday ever! The location was clean and had (paid) parking. The staff was super nice and very attentive. The party package was semi pricey but honestly very worth it. The only thing is that when it's very busy, they could use more staff because they need to be there for all of the VR games, but they were clearly doing their best as a rush came in, and we didn't have to wait long when we were waiting. The VR is very cool, very immersive. We will

I recently took my son to Vortex VR Arcade during our trip to Niagara Falls, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience for both of us! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement. The layout of the arcade was well-organized, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the various VR experiences available. They took the time to explain everything to us, which was really helpful for both of us, especially since it was our first

My partner and I had a lot of fun, this was my first time trying VR and I enjoyed it. As a childhood arcade fan, this was a good time BUT I would like to tell you that there are ZERO traditional fighting games, and ZERO 'beat em ups' like the X-Men, Simpsons, or TMNT, just some weird Minecraft dungeons and an odd version of Injustice that is based on QTEs and card battles..??

January 2023: Visiting the Falls with the family for the Lunar New Year, and decided to give this place a shot. Located on the 3rd floor, this is sort of a hidden treasure that does not stand out to potential customers. The only way I found out about it was through the parking receipt, which offered a complimentary $10 coupon. Pros: * Fun, exciting space to entertain the family. * It is like a Dave & Busters except with an all digital ticketing system. Customers load their cards with money at the counter

Paid $5 for parking and received a $10 credit for the arcade. There were no issues getting the credit and I think I received 39 credits. It was fun and free so we can't complain. There is a snack bar as well but we did not try it.

Saturday afternoon and the place has roughly 20 guests. A few games not in service. Minecraft Dungeons was missing P1 card scanner, P2 melee didn't work at all and a few buttons were sticky. Machines need maintenance. No toilet paper in the bathrooms. Really dislike the fact that POINTS are the new currency in video games. Gone are the days of bringing $10 to the arcade & plugging 25?/50? into a game to last an hour. Now it's variable pricing and upwards of $1.00/$2.00 per play.

The staff here are so incredibly kind and accommodating! Tom and Leah ensured that my kids had the best time. This was our first time here (we're from Canada). We had so much fun that we're coming back again today! Thank you guys for the amazing experience. My kids haven't stopped talking about it.

I went with my son and daughter this past weekend and it was amazing! Totally felt futuristic with all the VR games and choices!! We also had an amazing attendant helping us out named Joseph. He really went way beyond the normal level of service and left an impression on us!

Advertise 1/2 price Wednesdays on their website. Get there and they say they no longer do that and won't honor the deal despite the advertisement still being up on their site. Was going to do a birthday party here but I guess we're going somewhere else as I don't trust them to honor their advertised packages.

VR games are totally a scam. Only regular arcade games are good in this place. The staff was nice and help us with everything.

Very fun atmosphere and safe for kids. The VR games were fun and cool to experience. For a family of 20 visiting from Florida, John and Teagen were great and helped us select a great deal that was also affordable.

The guy working was very nice, but unfortunately nothing was working during our visit. Literally, everything my kids tried to do wasn't working. We got refunded for most of it. It was very clean and looked cool. Very disappointed with this place. Best part was the view.

Such an amazing and unique experience! The variety and types of games was great. My group of 4 enjoyed the balance between VR and traditional games. The Warfire game was unreal and fun for the whole group. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations to play. We will be back for sure!

We had a birthday party at the arcade yesterday and it was a blast! We had a dozen kids ranging from 2 to 15 years old and everyone had a great time. The place was very clean and everything was in working order. The party space is large and well lit. They even hung a custom printed banner for the birthday boy there - very cool personal touch. John and staff made sure we had everything we needed and they were also very accommodating of our asks. The day truly couldn't have been better.

Most of the be experiences were out of order, but the employed were super nice and helpful and allowed us to play the dark ride instead. Special shoutout to Anna downstairs for helping us out as well and being our wine tasting expert lol

This place has a few issues that need worked out. Most of the vr games were out of service or not calibrated correctly when we visited. Luckily the staff did take care of giving credits to fix the errors a couple times but not for everything that messed up. My son played a game where the controls didn't work right and it was just chalked up as "being tricky" by the staff. My daughter played the same game on a different machine and her controls worked without any problems. If the company could do better

It was fun, but half of the VR experiences were closed. They have about 15 ticket games, and you get about 10-12 games for $20... Yikes! The prize selection wasn't great but I still had a fun time.

Super fun! All state of the art equipment, the dark ride is amazing and I loved that they didn't forget about the classic arcade games. Place is super clean and the staff was fantastic. Also they have a pretty cool view of the park from the snack bar seating area. Definitely will not be disappointed checking it out :-)

Awesome place! So much to do for all ages. Loved the Dark Ride and virtual attractions as well as the arcade games. Golf simulators and comfortable bar atmosphere for the adults. Staff was amazing! I would absolutely recommend it for birthday parties or just a fun day with family and friends.

We had so much when we visited. The crew team that worked on Sunday 03/10/24 was super nice. They did a great job. ????????. It was our first time and it won't be the last!

This is a high-end, high quality arcade. The staff is great and the equipment and games are awesome.

I am not local to Buffalo. Our host Michael was great! He explained everything well and made sure we were happy. Awesome VR immersive experience. We went on Dark Ride and chose the Zombie experience and was highly entertained.

Very bad experience?. Employees have very bad attitudes?. Impolite and rude?. No help for first timers at all?.. brought my kids to have fun?. They actually cried on the way out we were treated so badly?.. Sunday march 10th 2023 at 3:30 pm?.. the employees that were there at the time are very unprofessional??needs better management had problems with every game we attempted to play? And employees did not assist with any problem we had left after the first ten minutes there

Super friendly staff. Place was really fun. The owner wanted to make sure we had a good time even let us ride the virtual ride a few times free of charge. I've never done VR before. Had a blast. Definitely worth checking out!!

Honestly been to better, this place wasn't great. Credits were really odd numbers like 7.10 or 8.30. We spent $20 on credits and somehow ended with 5 something in credits, so we couldn't use it because there was nothing that low? one game the drop ball, only had 15 balls and it's supposed to have 50. So you couldn't even play it and win correctly. The snack bar looked empty and no food to be seen or someone working it? I think some games were too much for what they were, maybe it's the area. But wouldn't re

Amazing place!!! We had so much fun here. You get a card for the games so you aren't fumbling around with money or tokens. They had a great variety of games that kept the kids completely entertained! There is a nice snack bar and seating area as well.

Joshua made this experience for my kids a wonderful one. The place is nice and clean. Great spot.

We had a phenomenal time, Joshua and his friend Joseph were extremely helpful with us and our 5yo boy, Lane. The atmosphere was fun and cool for kids, with an adult area nearby and a great souvenir shop downstairs. Kudos to Josh and his friend Joseph. Highly recommend!!

Second visit and it's still a blast. The normal arcade gaming options are minimal but decent. Only a few games didnt work. The main attractions however are always entertaining. We did the dark ride since my youngest isnt at the minimum height to play the full body vr game but even that was a huge highlight for the family. Only reason this isnt a 5 star review was wait times to use the attractions due to low staffing, it took longer to use the attractions but still very fun

Came an hour towards closing and John and Tagen were amazing and accommodating to our large group. We're Floridians so it was an awesome experience. Older crew loved the Omni arena while the younger crew enjoyed the arcade and VR games. Absolutely would recommend to anyone. A def must do on your bucket list

Does not open at 11 apparently. The website, all the signs, every worker in the building said 11 but it's a lie. We were up there since 11:05 and left at 12, only saw 1 worker at about 11:40 who said they opened at 11 which made no sense. We were able to fully walk around the half lit arcade, had full access to the prize counter with no employees. If a lesser person walked in, they could grab whatever they wanted and could walk out no questions asked.

Amazing place! Fun games and the staff is absolutely GREAT!! We had a blast playing the VR games and worked up a sweat. Felt like a kid again. Will def be back! Thank you Paul, Michael and I am sry I didn't catch the other guys name but, thank you all for your great hospitality!

First time we came here, the games were awesome. The staff was friendly and patient, willing to help out as needed. I think it would a good venue for a birthday party. Omni arena was a good workout!

I forgot to leave a review but i went before ending 2022. Staff was amazing, i didn't get their names but they treated us with respect. Food and drinks were excellent. 100/10 would go again when visiting buffalo.

Had so much fun we had to go twice on our short trip!

The dark ride was amazing. Highly recommend this arcade. Omni is great too, the coworkers are super friendly and helpful. This place is the best. Kenny and Connor helped us out today, they were great!

We brought my son here to try out the VR games and he absolutely loved it. Pete made sure he had such a wonderful experience. Thanks again to Pete and the crew.

Not very impressed with this place at all. For it still having the "grand opening" sign still up, it was not up to par. We went in on a Friday, around 720pm, and they said they close at 8 unless it was a weekend. We asked to do the VR experience, but they said the "cage" is broken and the other one has someone ahead of us so they can't let us play. We still decided to play the arcade, and half of the VR games were off. The other games were broken. The workers were not helpful, and shrugged when we told them

We couldn't find anything for the kids to do on new years day. Everything was closed but the Vortex. Even with it just opening, evening ran nice and smooth. My boys had a great time and a special thanks to Paul. We will definitely be back sir and thank you for bringing something to Niagara falls for our kids to do. See you soon

This place is incredible! If you're thinking about going, do it. We recently hosted a party at Vortex and the kids had a blast. The VR experiences are really cool, arcade is expansive, food was awesome and the prizes from ticket redemptions were super reasonable. Highly recommend a stop here if you're looking for something to do with the family

Went here for the first time with my partner. Did the VR for the first time. Our experience was amazing! The stuff members Josh&Joseph were extremely helpful and fun. Definitely the place to go!

Wonderful arcade...clean...everything working....great customer service. The Niagra falls what worth it and so with this arcade. Thank you Joshua for your exceptional customer service & friendliness . You help made our trip from NYC wonderful lifetime memory.

Recently had a birthday party for my 13 year old at the Vortex VR Arcade. Alllll of the children who attended had a blast, ???? The Dark Ride attraction is HIGHLY recommended for ANYONE who visits, and the kids loved the Omni arena as well! The redemption stand had so many options. I haven't seen an Arcade like this in the area ever. The Staff was very helpful, Chris,KaNiya, and Joseph were who was working the party and they were ready for whatever the kids or I needed and constantly checked in to see if the

The VR was all in Korean I couldn't understand it, I played the zombie one and I understand they don't really make the games but they do buy them and they bought some Asian bootleg the zombie game was too loud I couldn't understand what was happening, the attack sound was identical, the zombies were way too hard to kill and then a bigger and badder lizard guy showed up and wiped us out an then the game crashed and ended our play through early?? it crashed before the session as well and the game when it did

First time coming to one of these places, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a bit spendy, and the games don't last all that long? but omg SO MUCH FUN! We killed zombies, aliens, western villains, and a few ghosts. We laughed, we cried, we played ?he ain?t heavy, he's my brother? in our minds while trying to save each other from hordes of monsters. Worth every penny. DO IT!

Pulled in to park and a guy ran up to my car demanding payment, when I said I would pay at the kiosk he got extremely combative telling us we had to pay him or get the &$@? Out of the parking lot, we decided to leave after the man had words with my husband and another guy came running after our car screaming obscenities at us. You should never have parking attendants running up to peoples cars like that. My kids really wanted to go inside and play but this place will not be apart of the vacation

Place was super fun and amazing, one employee stood out to me, his name is Joseph I believe. He was super friendly and definitely made my time there better :)

I love this place it is extremely good I personally loved the machine where it flips you around in 360 I think it's called 360 VR and there is also a driving game staff was extremely helpful by the way!

First time to Niagara Falls NY, our two grandchildren loved the Vortex Arcade , it's very neat and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful with everything , the games and experience was amazing for all ages . I recommend everyone in the area to stop by and check it out . We will definitely be coming back. Great experience

Hidden gem! Place blew us away. No need to head all the way to Dave & Busters anymore. Def recommend this spot for kids or anyone else wanting VR/arcade experiences.

Definitely NOT worth the money spent, we bought 3 fun passes, almost $90 for a combined almost 10 minutes with Omni and the dark room and 5-6 arcade games for each of us.

Had my sons birthday party there. All the kids said awesome, fantastic, great fun, best ever, don't want to leave. .If you're looking to have a kids party. Do it there.

My husband and i had a wonderful time. Jadon was amazing he was very attentive and a great help

Tech is great, but they can't make it work correctly. Not worth the money. Stick with the home occulus. They were willing to say sorry for the failures, but not willing to offer any concession. Employees are good, quality is disappointing

This was the best arcade experience we have ever had! We had an amazing young man named Joseph who went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and having fun the whole time!

Absolute blast for the whole family! The owner John was super helpful since we had no clue what everything was. A full on virtual reality whether you want scary or not.

I big recognition to Joseph and Joshua we have such a wonderful experience here with this young men's. They treated us so nice and made our experience here even more fun thanks.

This place is such a good idea. Really cool and the staff are really nice. Def worth checking out!!!

This arcade changed life it brought back so much nostalgia the customer service is amazing and really helpful I had no problems and if I had any problems they got resolved really quick and Joseph he really helpful and charming

Yo I'm not gonna lie I was skeptical at first. I thought it was gonna be mad boring but after the employees (kenny and connor) told me to rip the dark ride I went nuts. Now I'm knowing that the arcade is fire

Had an absolutely amazing experience here! Games are top notch! Paulie was so helpful and knowledge! Will definitely be back!

Was passing through and was looking for something to do with my 11 year old son. What a great experience. The VR games were a blast!

We were in town for the week looking for something to do and happen to find this great place. Very fun and had a great time thanks to John and tegan

Joe and Mike are very nice and polite people I enjoyed myself the entire time I would definitely go back again

Very rude staff. Not a point in going to this arcade with your child if the aren't 4foot 2 inches or taller

Really cool place! The dark ride is like something they would have at Disney, highly recommend!

It was fun except some machines were broken we found a broken one and got 10$ so it was a win

Me and my wife had a blast. It was good clean fun!!!!!

One of the best arcades I been to in a while and the worker Joesph was very helpful on the place, touring around and helping around he was also very understanding

Amazing arcade The VR games are next level! Omni arena is one of the coolest things I've ever done!

Kids loved it. Expect to spend $80 - $100 per kid.

The interactive movie was amazing! Gotta check it out. Going to try the other VR machines now??

The owner of this building is the coolest dude in the area. By a lot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
