My dad always recommended this place, and my best friend asked me to go, so I went to the Vortex Arcade for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had a blast! They've got console games, arcade games, air hockey, pinball machines, Dance Dance Revolution, racing games, and so much more. Everything has it's own section so it's easy to navigate. They take very good care of their games. You pay $10 entry and then get to play as long as you want (until they close of course). They have free waters and snacks/
Visited Vortex Arcade in Little Rock, AR for a little fun and nostalgia, and it did not disappoint! The price was very affordable, and the location was clean, well-organized, and welcoming. They have a fantastic selection of arcades, consoles, and pinball machines?plenty to keep you entertained for hours. We even got a chance to chat with the owner at the end of our visit'super nice guy and clearly passionate about what he does. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Loved this place and business model of 10 bucks for unlimited play. Amazing! It was very clean and mostly all the games worked fine. Loved seeing the families there sharing the new generation of kids classic arcade games. I'll definitely go back.
Outstanding Atmosphere!!! Retro Time Castle brought to life here. It's like jumping in the DeLorean, typing in your destination, and flooring it to 88 MPH. Then you open the door to find yourself here at THE VORTEX ARCADE. $10.00 per person gives you (ALL) day playtime. Nice place to come to to enjoy all types of game play. Always clean, cool and comfortable inside. Friendly staff that does an outstanding job day after day. NO QUARTERS REQUIRED!!!NO CARD REQUIRED!!! ONE FEE , PLAY ALL GAMES! Worst t
The guys are very friendly. Made my special needs son feel welcome. We all had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed checking out the collection of commemorative items all over the place. Almost like a museum of my childhood.
Awesome atmosphere. Brings back a lot of memories! Really love this place it's a great value. The staff is great. Would highly recommend.
Overall this place is okay. A little cramped and quite loud. Was bumped into a few times while playing, especially along the far right back corner. Not much room. Five of the pinball machines were not working. They had all of the classic arcade games though. If the owner would remove his memorabilia collection he could probably make some room in the place so it's not so cramped. Price is great. $10 for free play as long as you want. My main complaint is the guy that kept interrupting people as they were pla
Drove from beebe to try this place out. Heard great things. I love pinball and wanted to introduce my daughter to the game. No joy! 12 and under are not allowed to play pinball. New rule i guess. Never made it in the door. New world we live in i guess. Disappointed.
This place is amazing! Something for everyone: big screen tv to watch movies; couches and tvs to play console games; air hockey; dance dance revolution; pinball; arcade games; snacks; drinks; tables to take a break and relax. Our family walked next door and ate delicious food and came back to Vortex to play more! 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!!!
This place is incredible!!!! So much fun!! Great for teenagers to see a trip to the passed of there parents childhood. The staff was so friendly welcome home from the first time we walked inside the door, explained everything to us and it's all one price.
Our family loves Vortex! Daniel is the best. We had our son?s Pac-Man-themed birthday party here. The kids loved it. It's fun to pass down some of my favorite memories from growing up to my kids. And Daniel is even building us our own vintage arcade game from scratch!
All the games I grew up playing(I'm 48), it's a place you can bring ur kids & be a kid at the same time. The guy at the front is very welcoming & it's just a really a "have a blast" kinda place..... It's definitely a spot me & mines are going to be regulars..... I'll post pics next time we go
I've been wanting to go to vortex for years and finally did. I love Retro arcades and this one didn't disappoint. Love to see local business thrive and the value vs somewhere like Dave and busters isn't remotely similar. 10$ gets you in and that's all you pay for day if you choose. You can leave for up to 2 hours to go eat or so on and come back. There is a multitude of options, pinball, couch consoles such as snes, Genesis, nes, n64. Plus arcade games from the 80s/90s/ and early 2000s. While my wife an
This place is awesome. It takes you back to your childhood in the 80's. Honestly I felt like a little kid. First time here and I didn't want to leave. Staff is very nice, great guys. 100% you will enjoy.
We stepped back in time to show our little Rad Dude how Totally Awesome it was in the 80?s! $10 play all day! There's not a better deal than that! Daniel the Owner is super cool & we booked our son?s birthday party for a great price! I highly recommend whether you're young or old!
Fantastic selection of vintage video games and great selection of pinball machines, some older and some recent releases. Snack area with a TV to chill out, or they host birthday parties also.
This is the first arcade that I had been to. The owner welcomes me with open arms and shows me around the arcade. I saw older games like Super Mario Bros., Contra, Centipede, and ect. He showed me how to place my high score online. I can't wait to come back again.
Absolutely wonderful experience! I always love coming here to play retro games. They have tvs set up to the side with N64's, Super Nintendo's and full cabinets of tons of other games. Cabinets that are preloaded with more than one game or retro cabinets dedicated to a game. All the workers here have been nothing but kind and helpful. It is a bit loud, but I just wear ear protection to help mitigate that. I very much so reccomend this place for a date or a fun night out!
My husband and I came and it was so fun! They had a ton of different games and all of them worked! The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the gentleman at the counter was very nice. 10/10 would recommend!
An amazing place, the owner is fantastic and genuinely wants everyone to have a great time. It's usually only $10 a person sometimes less on events like today's $15 for couples. They go out of there was to make sure you have everything you need for a good night, even keeping deodorant and other supplies in the bathrooms. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could.
Such a cool place for all ages. Takes you back to being a kid and just having fun. Only $10 a person for all day pass. All games included. Such a great deal!
Great place 10 bucks a person play as many games for as long as you want clean friendly me my boy couple grandsons had a great day Yay ????
If you like old school video games this is the place. Only $10 at the door and you have unlimited play in every machine.
So much fun for an amazing price! Just $10 for the whole time you're there to play as many games as you want. Classic arcade games, dance dance revolution, pinball machines, air hockey, Nintendo, Sega. The nostalgia is real.
Super fun experience! I'm from out of town and am thrilled to have found this hidden treasure. Inexpensive! We played all afternoon, and the overwhelming quantity of games meant we never played the same thing twice. I can't wait to come back. N64 Golden Eye, you're on my list! And the whole place is so clean! The women's bathroom was like a welcoming hug. Kid friendly.
This place is amazing. $10 a person for unlimited play! They have good snacks/candy for cheap!! We will definitely be back and bring friends!!!
What a fun place and a great deal! Only 10 dollars and you can play games all day. I had a blast. It was a real throwback too considering I haven't played some of those games in years. Absolutely loved it
I took my sons-in-law and my grandson to Vortex on Black Friday afternoon while the girls went shopping. We all had a wonderful time. From my 8 year old grandson to my late twenty something son-in-laws to GenX self, a good time was had by all. They have all the games you remember and plenty of newer ones as well. It was a great value to boot ??
Very cool vibe, great games, friendly staff and a smart cost option! Pay $9.25 for unlimited play of all the games - it's that easy. They also give a Military Discount. Classic arcade games, driving consoles, first person shooters, Nintendo consoles - they have all of it!
$10 per person per day to get in and you get unlimited lives while playing (i.e. no quarters or tokens; just push a button and you can play forever). You can even leave for up 2 hours and they'll let you back in. Even snacks are reasonably priced.
So I gotten to know the owner and staff personnelly and they are great people they have a very wide selection of arcade games AND pinballs theres alot of great high-quality machines in there and the decor is so awesome it like walking back into a different time era, I've had them fix 2 pinballs for me, and I mean fixed fixed, like they were rough, and they did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price! Tell everyone you know take the whole family, everything is kid friendly and encouraged for all ages its
We were in Arkansas visiting my mom and looking for something to do on a hot afternoon. We found Vortex arcade and had a great time!
This place has so many games! Old school arcade plus Nintendo, everything. 10$ at the door and everything is on free play. Im in my 30s and me and my husband had a great time. Definitely a great value and a great time
This place is simply awesome. Best value in the state for good clean entertainment. You could stay here all day if you wanted for the low price of just under $10 per person. Staff is super friendly and experts on their knowledge of gaming. Even though I'm not a big gamer, I had an awesome time and my 12 year old loves it. I loved the pinball machines. I could sit there for hours playing. They always do birthday parties and have a snack bar.
2/5 - No airflow / cool air. HOT arcade. Vortex Arcade has to be one of my favorite spots, however. This place NEEDS cooling. There are way too many people here. Bodies are everywhere which causes a lot of condensed heat. You shouldn't neglect airflow. I saw a fan or two around the place. But no source of circulation, or anywhere where I could feel cool air. If they would?ve turned the air on, had some circulation going, I would give them 5/5. In conditions like this, your AC should be on, and at LEAST s
It's similar to Arkadia in Fayetteville but different in pricing and the game set up. Vortex has an extensive range games that I wasn't able to get pix due to the other gamers playing. They have a section set aside for consoles, an area for pinball machines, an area arcade machines and you're even allowed to watch movies in a small section. It turned out being better than I was expecting and we will return!!
This place was phenomenal. It was clean, well kept, and the owner was so helpful. It was refreshing to see some of the good old games there. They're set to free play so it's entirely free once you pay admission, which is only 10 bucks a person and it's unlimited play once you're in. Atmosphere was so fun. Will be back WEEKLY. Decor was also on point.
Not only is this an awesome place to come hang out play some nostalgic arcade games (and pinball), but the customer service is amazing, too. My daughter left her favorite purse there and they shipped it to us and sent a free admission pass with it! So sweet! They went above and beyond! Such a cool place!
The owner is very excited about his place. He is an great part of this community. My son had alot of fun. For me it was great to see and play all the old school games from my day!! Great place all games are free after the $10 admission. Also they have fun community parties! Halloween, New Years Eve and more....
Love this place both for walk in and parties. Wide selection of arcade, 2 dance machines, and a good choice of consoles (Atari, nes, SNES, N64 off the top of my head)
A family-fun place. 5 of us in the group ? 4 were adults ? and we had a great time! Where else can you enjoy vintage arcade games for hours for just $10/person? Pleasant gentleman at the front desk plus they have a technician working to keep the machines going ? even though it was Sunday! Several machines weren't working, but we didn't care ?cuz there's plenty to choose from and we saw how rough some customers can be with them.
People sleep on this place you need to go and bring the bois. Owner is a great guy he put his heart in this place and the atmosphere here reflects that.
Great Arcade to bring family or friends and play for hours! Lots of retro games that bring back childhood memories. You pay one price for admission and all games are free play! Staff is knowledgable and friendly. You gotta check it out!
Such an amazing love letter to the best times of the 80s and 90s. Even if your not a gamer come in a look at this awesome place, even the bathroom is fun lol
Daniel and his son were so nice... We walked in right as a guy was about to hit a 'Kill Screen' on Donkey Kong... That right there tells you something about this place. It's special. They were both very friendly and very accommodating... we played... went to dinner and came back... they were happy to see us and said "come right back in"... gave my daughters some toys.. took pictures of us next to a big Knight. The sad thing is we're from Colorado and make the Arkansas trip at Thanksgiving... so it will b
I haven't had this much fun in years! Highly recommend. So many games! Reasonably priced. I didn't get any snacks but they have candy, chips, ice cream. Would make a great birthday spot!
Great family-friendly establishment. Dan & his crew work quite hard to make sure the machines are in top-top shape. I am so appreciative of the fact that we have a nice, clean, and friendly place to visit when we want to play retro games from my childhood. Reading some reviews might make you think it isn't child-friendly. It absolutely is child-friendly but parents have to continue to parent their children while there. We have taken our children since they were little and also nowadays that they are teens.
Have had 2 birthday parties here and this is the second time to bring a children?s group from the church. The owner overhead me telling some of the kids that my 007 golden eye n64 game grew feet and disappeared from the church a few years ago. Next thing I know he is giving me an extra copy. Even if they weren't the nicest people the place is awesome. Definitely worth the cheap price of admission to play all the games and be able to beat the kids at video games and aracade games made this 37 year old a h
Awesome place to kill time and hang out. Never to young or old to play these retro games. Grew up with most of these uprights and brought back a lot of memories. The price is so worth it. Really can't be beat for a cheap family night out.
Hi, we came in with a bunch of friends on Thursday evening and we had so much fun. But me and my husband are definitely coming by again to play some of the old consoles and pinball. I mean I can't wait to play pinball again. We might bring some more people With us next time. I really hope to make this a weekly thing. Staff was wonderful. I played Pokemon with my husband, a very old version of it but it was fun. I just had to remember the old console buttons because everything is so different now with the ne
It's ok. Screens are starting to get dark on several of the games. About 30ish games were not working. It's almost to dark in there, couldn't read the controls or buttons. Kids were ready to go after being there about 30 min. Staff was friendly. Place was clean.
Ever since you put in self check out i quit going there. Never a checker long lines nightmare I use Kroger now
We went to the arcade for a girls night out. We had a great time. This is a family friendly - kid friendly place. They were holding a birthday party for an adult while we were there. What Fun! All the old games brought back great memories of the past. They had all the old greats; pinball machines, Frogger, both Pac man & Mrs. Pac man, Donkey Kong, Mario, Ninja Turtles, Qbert, just to me a few. Oh and lots of driving and fighting games. The price was good. Make time to go because time does FLY when yo
Best place to hang out fun for all ages!
Only $10 person for the day and unlimited plays on ALL games! Owners did a fantastic job on creating a atmosphere for anyone of any age. There's classic gaming systems, pinball, air hockey, and any arcade game you can think of there! We made it a trip to come check out Vortex and it was well worth it. They have snacks and drinks there, but you can leave to get lunch so long as you are back within 2 hours you don't have to pay to get back in. Several restaurant choices in same plaza they are located. Great j
Huge selection of classic arcade games and the entrance fee is very reasonable. I took my teenage nephew there for the afternoon while my wife and his Mom went shopping. Great place for kids and adults.
It was amazing! My wife and I spent 4 hours inside and we didn't even realize that the time had passed. There is something for everyone to enjoy, and the owners/employees are incredibly kind and helpful. Will be going back for our next date night for sure!
Vintage arcade, less than $10 for unlimited play. It's like going back in time, and saving money. Great way to kill an afternoon!
10 bucks an hour to play vintage video games and pinball??? Incredible!! My 8 and 12 year olds will blow through $50 EACH in an hour at those arcade restaurants. We're here for 15 minutes and I'm already in the plus column. No cheesy tickets and then spending 1/2 hour listening to kids whine why can't they get the PS5 for 47 tickets??? When it's marked at 500,000. Super friendly staff and safe. I'll play some pinball and some Donkey Kong and just watch the kids for an hour or two. They have comfortable ch
I've been here twice, it's pretty cool, place is clean, they have snacks for sale and other cool memorablia.
Wonderful atmosphere! Our whole family had a blast! The owner David introduced himself and it made the experience that much better! Thank you Vortex and we will see you again!
Ive been here multiple times. Its been my go to indoors activities with my kids and its been great. This past weekend we went in with the boys to play and were cautioned about kids on the pinball machines. We noted that we'd be playing with them and watching them. During the first game someone came over and turned off the machine while trying to give my kids a lecture on how to press the flipper buttons for pinball play (which i had already done due to the notice when paying). I asked the guy how he expect
Never knew this place existed until we were invited for a birthday party. There is a simple entry fee and the games are pre-paid... so you can play as many times as you want. It has a very casual vibe and there are just as many adults enjoying the gaming experience as there were children. I liked that they offered many options of games, i.e. Donkey Kong, Pac man, shooting & karate games and pin ball games. My son didn't want to break away from the double dragons game to have pizza or cake. We will definitel

Come visit and who knows maybe you will fun into one of the Ultramen. -DIGIFOX #DIGIFOXOFFICIAL #DIGIFOXSHOP #DIGIFOX
Brought back so many memories of my childhood. Only 1 game wasn't working, other than that it's all good.
Great Arcade !! $10 for all day for each person ?? !! PRICELESS !! Ty to all the staff / owner at Vortex . Will return and recommend to all.
This place is great. I drop my oldest son off now and then to play. While I don't expect the owner to be a babysitter, he is aware of what's going on and pays attention to kids who are there with no parents. Don't know him personally but based off of a few run-ins I'd say he's a great guy and I love what he's doing. I hope he continues to be successful and that his arcade will last unlike alot of local businesses.
I was back in my teens again and enjoyed playing the games
This place is so fun! My kids and I had a blast here! If you are in your thirties, they have literally every game you could ever want from when you were growing up. They actually still have DDR, too, and a few different air hockey tables that are so much fun! The price is amazing and it is such a great value for what you get, and the owner is super down-to-earth, friendly, and truly cares about his customers. Can't ask for more. Thank you so much!
Absolute blast. Well worth the visit. What a great way to spend a day!
Y'all, I'm definitely coming back. The staff is extremely friendly and they are so sweet!! The games are all free once you pay to get in and they have such a wide variety of things to do! The community itself of the people here are also very friendly and it's a great way to have hours of fun for a great price! We came in for a friend's birthday and one of the staff members went above and beyond MULTIPLE TIMES to ensure a memorable and happy experience! The bathrooms are also stocked with care supplies (like
?? Like this review if it helped you, follow for more! ?? This place is so cool! For only $10, you will get hours and hours of entertainment. My 6-year-old and 10-year-old son had an absolute blast when we came here for a classmates birthday party. This is definitely the go-to place for retro gaming in Central Arkansas! ?? Edited my rating from 5 stars. We have visited this establishment quite frequently. We love that it's located near a comic store and pho. We are a family of hardcore gamers. We used to love this place until our last visit. A woman got onto my husband quite rudely while playing pinball when he was literally just playing the game. You have to press buttons to get the levers to move. She said he was pressing buttons too much. Afterward she watched us for the entirety of our visit which made us uncomfortable so
This place is great. Everything from retro arcade machines to pinball to old school console games hooked up to old school tube TVs. Something for all ages. Highly recommended!
Terrible experience! I would not recommend visiting with younger children. We were followed around and asked for our kids (7&4) to not play pinball machines because apparently kids that age don't know how to play appropriately. Not to mention if there were games ?off limits? for certain ages then that should be told at the point when you're paying. The constant harassment by staff and being followed around left us feeling uncomfortable, not a pleasant experience AT ALL!
The Vortex is amazing! Firstly, it is a very affordable place to take kids/teenagers for some indoor fun. The owner has done an amazing job creating a fun and friendly atmosphere. He is so kind and generous!
Lots of retro video games and pinball machines. Owner and staff are very welcoming. Great value!
Wonderful and fun place! So reasonably priced and so much to do! The owner is awesome too!
Super fun! Just pay $10 to get in and then all the games are free. Tons of arcade games, several TVs and couches set up with all the older consoles and games, even a big screen playing movies. Even the decor is awesome with gaming themed collectibles and art everywhere. I absolutely love this place.
This place was awesome, the atmosphere is great and theres a huge selection of games on both old systems and arcade machines! Definitely reccomend it, went for our 2 year anniversary and it was so much fun for a couple of nerds.
Super cool, not everything works but they have a game techie working on stuff to get it working. $10 is perfect for all you can play. No alcohol available.
Great price and fun time. My son enjoyed the N64, while I ran through the Gambit of NFL Blitz to Gauntlet: Legends ??
Amazing array of retro gaming consoles and arcade machines. Great price for unlimited play in all machines. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
The host was very nice. Clean, fun, nostalgic. Few machines weren't working, but is to be expected when they are straight from the 80s and 90s. There are so many game options. Great place to spend hours with the family!
Awesome place! $10 for unlimited play and all the retro games you could imagine. And walls of pin ball machines. Staff is polite and laid back. The place stays clean and comfortable. And they have a great gamer's snack bar.
This place is great. One low price & you can play as many games you want without having to carry around a bunch of quarters or tokens. They have all kinds of machines like arcade, pinball, air hockey, old consoles & more. You can even have birthdays there.
All I wanted to do for my 44th birthday was to come to the arcade! I even got a complimentary mini birthday snack cake from the owner, with a candle! He has the best place around for all ages, and for $10 free play?you can't do anything for $10 anymore, especially for what you get. A clean facility, excellent variety of games that you can tell are well cared for and maintained, and a friendly host that is passionate about what he does. Hands down a gem for central Arkansas.
The staff were very friendly and the owner was a great guy, you can tell that he really loves his job. He was very welcoming and made sure we didn't need anything while we there he also recommended good games to play as well. On top of that they had the best public bathroom I've ever used. With free female products along with a clean baby station. You can see he cares about his patrons I will be coming back here for sure!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
