CLEAN STORE AWARD ?? RETRO FEEL AWARD ?? WTP (Worth The Price) AWARD ?? Visited Vision Arcade & Skateboard Shop on Saturday February 4th 2023 in Mound Mn, around 3pm. What a fun retro place for adults to go back in time, and a great kid-friendly place to bring the family. A change machine is available. Also a hand sanitizer machine. About 7 pinball games, air hockey, standup arcade games include Ms PAC Man, Centipede, Defender, Joust, 1942, Moon Patrol, Mortal Kombat, The Simpsons, House of the Dead 2, Gau

This was so much fun! All the awesome arcade games and REAL quarters, not tokens. I love the authenticity. And somehow I managed to beat my 13 yo in games I knew! Mad RESPECT! They have snacks, drinks and cool skateboard gear too! Support this local business!

Homie helped me set up my entire board, awesome vibes in the shop and everyone is extremely nice and so helpful. 10/10 experience and this place is easily the coolest hangout in mound. If you haven't already, you have to check this place out!

Absolutely in love with my setup. Haven't skated in years and the staff absolutely nailed it. Now my son and I can shred the gnar to the sunset.

Just stopped by to check it out, and before you know it 2 hours went by like nothing. Played some old school games from my childhood, and kicked both my kids butt in Mortal Kombat! Pinball machines are killer. Played Foosball, and air hockey. They awesome skate decks and all kinds of gear! Ben is a great guy and very nice. He even played my two boys and I in Foosball and is pretty good at it! I will be going back many times for sure!!

My daughter who is 6 absolutely loves this place, great variety of games in great condition. Super clean, they have step stools for smaller kids, and I love the skate shop too. If you kid needs a snack they have snacks and drinks available. They've thought of everything here, great place!!

My son was so excited to get a new board and the knowledgeable staff helped him pick out and set up trucks & grip tape. Nice selection of skate apparel, friendly people and of course ARCADE GAMES! I had forgotten how much fun it is to feed machines real quarters instead of swiping cards. We'll definitely be back.

What an awesome place to relax after work with your kid and get lost in some video games! My son and really enjoyed the Air Hockey table as we tied twice and he won the 3rd round, and for 50 cents on the shooting game him and I could get lost here with a roll of quarters. Can't wait to watch this place grow!

Pinball, Air Hockey, Mario Brothers, 1942, Centipede - they have so many games and you can try them without regret since they take actual quarters from change machines. We came in to buy a backpack since a friend told us about the skate brands available in the store and ended up staying for the games. The owners are so friendly and my kids had a great time while mom got a high score on Moon Patrol. This is a great addition to Mound - thanks!

Sweet place. Nice atmosphere. Had fun hanging out and playing games with the kids.

LOVE ?? the selection of games!! And ONLY 50 cents.. just like the 90's! Me and my 12 year old son had a blast! 5 stars ?? ??

Skate park is legit, great brands of clothes and skateboard parts, their arcade games all have awesome high res screens. Awesome place to burn a few hours for sure

Awesome atmosphere! Classic arcade games, beautiful skateboards, friendly staff. Love that the games use actual quarters so no hidden costs/points, etc.

Vision Arcade and Skateboard shop is a welcome trip to a bygone era. Time flies by and good music fills the air as you slam quarters into classic arcade games: Street Fighter 2, Defender, Mortal Kombat 2, Space Invader, Pinball machines, air hockey, and many more. Great location for skateboarders, too. With the local park just a couple blocks away, they can pick up a new deck, wheels, or whatever replacement parts they need and get back without missing a beat. I schooled my five year old on Mortal Kombat

Brought a group of middle school students there for a field trip! They had the best time ever! The staff was amazing and so helpful! Would totally bring another group of kids there!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
