Fun place, they have some GREAT pinball machines, fun videogames, the owner was really helpful, and prices were fair. It's small, but a good quality experience.

Fun line up of games and $20 bucks in tokens kept us busy for an hour!! Love that they use tokens instead of those game cards most places have. Great selection of Pinball, fighting games, some unique shooters and more.

Booked the whole day for private parties with no sign posted. Workers yelled at us for trying to go in. Legitimately don't know when I am supposed to go in so I can play the games

Had my son?s 9th birthday party there, and it was great! Entertaining for both kids and adults. Able to bring in our own food and drinks. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Check it out!

Do you like to play arcade and pinball games? Do you appreciate a wide variety of genres, spanning many years of gaming history? Then come drop some coins at VP! All machines are well maintained, usually all are playable. I love having access to Astro cabs (from Japan). Snacks and drinks are available. Only minor complaint is I wish it was bigger. Overall, VP is really fun and well run (thanks, Joe!) It is a hidden treasure on Southside.

Fun arcade with good local staff. The various machines were fun to use, sanitation and restrooms were available, and the staff assisted with any issue we had with any machine. All machines were in working order during the visit, which was a plus. Spent a good 3-4 hours enjoying this arcade with friends. Would definitely visit again!

It's a small arcade located in the heart of the south side, they have a large pinball selection, a few anchor cabs like Mario Kart DX and Dance Dance Revolution (StepManiaX) as well as a set of sit down games (Street Fighter, Marvel Vs Capcom 2) and shooty games. They are not open long or often though, and while definitely a cool arcade, the doors are closed 9/10 times I walk past, if you can catch this arcade while it's open, definitely stop in.

This place was absolutely awesome. Where else can you find a six player X-Men cab? Where else can you find imported Sega candy cabs with Alien Vs. Predator and MVC2? Only here. This was just the best part of visiting Pittsburgh. Fantastic shakes (I enjoyed the Butterbeer shake), awesome pins, and games you just can't find anywhere. A Neo Geo cab with Windjammers? Complete heaven. I love that they have tokens simply because I kept one to add to my collection. I will recommend this place to everyone I meet.

We booked VP for a combined bachelor and bachelorette party and it was FANTASTIC! Everyone who came to celebrate was able to find a game they loved! Great selection, and unlimited tokens for private rentals...need I say more? Okay, I will! The milkshakes were delicious, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we all had a BLAST! And BYOB?! We don't have that in Ohio, so it was really nice to be able to bring our own adult beverages! My sister (bride-to-be) kept saying how AWESOME this place was

Can't say enough good things about this place! Brings me back to Arcades in the 80s!!! Fair price, clean and friendly!! Will definitely go back.

I loooove this place. Absolute best milkshakes in Pittsburgh, and lots of games upstairs for essentially any console you can think of. It's never crowded and the staff are SO friendly! When coming with a big group, try to book the VR Room early because that is something that is in high demand there, especially if you go when it's a little busier. It's a little hard to find if you've never stopped in, but they usually have a sign on the sidewalk and it's right beside Jack's Bar at the beginning of East Carso

There's a lot fit into this small space. Between pinball, Mario Kart, light gun shooters, Dance Dance Revolution, and plenty of Sega Blast City cabinets, an hour or two goes quickly. The caf? aspect is fun and has lots of options. It can get a little crowded, but everyone's there for the same reason so it's not too big an issue. Most people are good about not hogging any single machine. I wish there were more places like this in the city.

Great selection of pinball and other games. Very fairly priced. Had some fun older games as well as new games.

Showed up Saturday at 4. Paid 5 bucks for street parking. Couldn't enter because it was closed for a private party. Awesome?

Pretty cool. It's in the old Ukrainian center. Plenty of pinball machines which is why we went. Nice collection of classic games. These arcades frequently go out of business and I'd hate to see this one go. So go spend $5 or $10 and have a nice day there!

We had our son?s 10th bday party where parents were welcome to stay. Both adults and kids seemed to have a blast! The BYOB allowed us to bring adult beverages and have the parents enjoy themselves as well! The staff were kind and helpful. Even lent us a megaphone to announce we were about to sing ?Happy Birthday?. Haha! My kid had so much fun and I highly recommend this place for private party rentals. You have unlimited game play for 2 hours. Before going to the arcade, check their calendar online

Had a good time here. For 20 dollars we got 2 amazing milkshakes and about an hour of playtime on arcade games and pinball machines. My only disappointment was that there were no board games, that might be a covid thing, no big deal

Super retro arcade which also has consoles, staff were really friendly and helpful. And of course great milkshakes :)

Really phenomenal collection! Friendly staff, loved this place

Great arcade! Small, but packed with options. Great owner! Good price!

Hidden gem of Pittsburgh. Great variety of games with very reasonable prices. They have some cocktail cabinets (which are super cute) with the older nostalgic games I grew up loving and a lot newer games too! They have Cotton Rock n Roll which is part of my favorite series! I also really appreciate the pinball selection that they offer as well. Rhythm games aren't my personal forte but it was nice to see they had some of those too. Machines are well maintained and play great. Staff is very friendly and know

I had fun here. The have many old arcade games like Asteroids, Mike Tyson punchout. They also had newer games like Mario Kart and some Transformers game. There is a nice selection of pinball machines. Upstairs is a VR area, and console gaming area.

We just celebrated my daughter?s 9th birthday here and it was a blast! We had about 11 kids and a handful of parents and everyone had a great time. We brought our own cake and pizza and it was so easy. Unfortunately didn't get the name of the guy working but he was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend this place for birthdays!

Literally the best arcade I have ever been to; as an Ohioan, we have nothing this fun and special over there. Highly HIGHLY recommended if you're a big fan of video games, good memories with friends, and playing games of ALL kinds of backgrounds. Historic classics and cult deep cuts. Die Hard Arcade, SF3 and Crazy Taxi were highlights!

After experiencing how they handle their private parties myself. I must say they are amazing. While I would like for their website to reflect that they shut down fully to the public for private parties and to regularly check their events calendar especially for new customers who may not realize that this is their policy. The owners are super kind. They are super sweet. They picked up the space where I dropped it today. Granted it was on things like a lighter, plastic silverware and things like that but t

A really fun and welcoming place. Perfect for a stop when you want something different. The ice cream is great too!

Very nice board game selection upstairs. Really excellent console game selection upstairs. Well curated Arcade downstairs. Better than average pub food for reasonable prices. BYOB. The owner is very knowledgeable on games of all kinds, and really supports a safe and positive culture in the place. If you wanna go out with friends, you will have way more fun and spend less money here than going to the bar. Great hangout spot to meet friends too.

This past Saturday my son?s birthday party was held at Victory Pointe and I do believe he said it was the ?best one yet? ?? Seeing both kids AND adults playing together or side-by-side was so wholesome lol. Thank you again for an excellent party! ????

Had fun playing some arcade games. They have serious opinions for all sorts of awesome fun!

Had a fantastic time! Cool games downstairs and a huge selection of board games upstairs. Super awesome staff and while I didn't get a milkshake, they looked really good. My boyfriend enjoyed a butterbeer and I got a marshmallow spritzer. Everything is a great price less than ten bucks to get unlimited play for an hour. Thus place was absolutely amazing. Great for an affordable nerdy date ;)

Such a fun place! They have every kind of game: board, video, arcade, virtual reality, most every console. they have some nice family friendly fun drinks available on the first floor. great staff, personally i greatly enjoyed the Beat Saber virtual reality game. Their virtual reality rig is really good, even the rigging for the wires involved. I've been here multiple times already and i always want to go back!

Had our son's 10th birthday party here and it was perfect! A wonderful place for both kids and adults. The gentleman (owner?) who oversaw was so kind and helpful. Many thanks to Victory Pointe!

An excellent place to hang out and play some games. Their selection of pinball and arcade cabinets is respectable and offers a good variety of stuff, however the big draw is the upstairs area with board and console games. The staff is friendly and when a few friends of mine wanted to choose a board game to play, the clerk gave us suggestions for what to play due to our familiarity with board games. Definitely a great place to go if you want to do a meet-up or a work team exercise.

My kids and I love this place! Where else can you hang out and play games all day for only $10?? All the employees and very friendly and usually down for a good conversation about the latest games or movies, and have met a ton of other friendly people here, too. I hope they plan to update the game selection as time goes on, but for now, we have yet to get bored of this place. Oh, and the milkshakes are always delicious! Keep up the good work, Victory Pointe Update: They did away with the tokens, as mentio

I have visited VP a lot pre-Covid and always had a great time but this week I did a private party rental for a graduation party and it was SO fun! There is nothing better than tons of awesome arcade games and getting to play them with all your closest friends. The rental price was super reasonable and Joe was a great host, making sure tokens were ready to go and answering any questions we had. I HIGHLY recommend this awesome place for a visit or a rental.

I loved this place! You can spend hours here and it's really affordable. You can play endless games all day? Count me in! I'll never go to places like Dave and Busters again with places like this! It's a great atmosphere and the drink options are creative and fun! They truly have games for everyone. I highly suggest going there for a fun time!

Really fun place, decent food and good prices. This is a fantastic place to get together with friends and game. We go here at least once a month. Would have a 5-star review, but it's hot as blazes in the summer. Rumor has it they're getting better AC before next summer. Will increase review to 5 stars when that happens.

Victory Pointe Gaming Cafe is awesome! The staff is super friendly, the prices are very fair, and the atmosphere is great! They have a large selection of arcade games, pinball machines, and consoles. Recently I visited with a group for a bachelor party and the staff was very accommodating and helped us out. I would definitely recommend.

My wife and I love video games. We've been here numerous times. They have a fun selection of arcade games, pinball games and console games. You can pay by the hour. The staff has always been friendly and the milkshakes are quite good. Hands down, this is one of our favorite entertainment places in Pittsburgh.

I booked a party here and it was a wonderful experience. So many games! The staff was friendly and responsive. My kids and guests had the best time. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not kidding about these milkshakes, people. Literally the greatest of all time. Also having just about every video game ever doesn't hurt. The $10 all day play on Wednesdays is an AMAZING deal! And I don't have to spend $800 on my own VR headset while still getting the awesome experience. Great place for all ages. I can't say enough about how cool it is.

Booked Victory Pointe for my fianc? and his best friends 30th birthday with the help of his wife. This was not our first time to Victory Pointe, but as always everyone had a blast. The staff are so friendly and it's such a fun nostalgic place to visit. Definitely recommend.

I could spend all day here, which is perfect because they have all day passes! They also have discounts for certain days of the week. It's a great place to go with your friends who also love games! Plus, they have awesome queer-friendly signs in their bathrooms. :)

Wonderful little hidden arcade in the South Side. Prices are amazing, milkshakes are great, and the whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I could see myself easily spending hours here playing some of the more obscure Japanese arcade machines they've imported. If you're looking for old games, new games, or just a new community to hangout with, Victory Pointe is the place to go.

Reasonable, casual, and decent selection. VP lets you game unlimited for an hour or the day while serving up snacks and treats from an older style soda shop bar. I had a milkshake and it was satisfying, way thicker than a McDonald's shake. There are up to date pinball machines, a couple shoot em ups, and several fighting stick games (including that awesome X-men machine). The owners are dedicated to gaming and have an active board and console gaming extension upstairs. Really nice addition to the far side o

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Two separate floors to play games. Upstairs are vintage game consoles and board games from a blast from the past. The downstairs has three or so driving games, maybe seven pin ball and a few other games including Pac man. Apparently there is food. I paid 5 dollars for a one hour bracelets worth of play. What a great bargain. Great way to use one hour of my day!

Spent hours and hours here playing board games pre-COVID with one of my best friends; it actually became one of our traditions whenever we could see each other. Couldn't recommend it enough ? I'm sad to hear that the board games had to be sold to keep the arcade afloat, but I highly recommend stopping by the arcade and having some fun. It's a small place, but a lot of machines. You'd be in there for quite a while if you wanted to try all of em.

I came here for the first time this weekend, I been looking for a place that had good pinball machines to play. I wasn't disappointed, I was really happy with my experience here. The staff where polite and helpful, and they had great machines. I been wanting to play a Jersey Jack Pinball machine and they happen to have The Wizard of Oz machine which was pretty nice.

Interesting place. I was here for an event, but they have a nice selection of games you can pay with tokens or pay one price. Also got a milkshake from their fountain, pretty good. The place doesn't seem to have air conditioning in the upstairs room so probably not the best during the summer.

First floor has a pretty decent selection of arcade cabinets. Great spread of pinball machines and some sit-in games too. Some games need tokens but there's a nice selection that you can play with an all-you-can-play deal. I spent way too much time on Asteroids! They have soft drinks and a coffee bar available with a pretty good selection of snacks and light hot food. Didn't try any of the food unfortunately. Will have to hold that for next time. With the all-you-can-play you also have access to the upst

Went here with my boyfriend and this place makes for a perfect evening out. We loved the game options and could easily spend a lot of money on tokens. They have fighting games, ping pong, shooters, and other unique retro finds!

Great arcade, rhythm games SDVX, StepManiaX and Jubeat, classic fgs MK2 and SF3 Just wish they were open more often and/or later into the night, south side only wakes up at 10pm!! And maybe one day they can renovate the inside to maximize the space to run more games

Fun spot with tons of arcade and pinball machines, both new and old. Deals are pretty good, and it is BYOB. They offer some food too, but haven't tried it out yet. They also have another area with new console games that you can play. All in all, a fun spot to go if you are trying to game

Had a blast here at an impromptu bachelor party! Tons of games and all the best elements of the penny arcades that we all grew up spending our pocket change in! Would return!

I'm very impressed!! This place is awesome and I will definitely be coming back! We ate dinner when we first arrived and the food was amazing. We then played some free play games on the first floor before heading upstairs to play console games and board games. Hours of fun!

Hands down the best hole-in-the-wall gaming shop I've ever been to. They quite literally have anything you can think of, ranging from an EXTENSIVE console game library, a full rock band setup, an all-inclusive VR setup, and an amazing collection of arcade cabinets. Staff is super friendly and supportive.

Neat little arcade and cafe! Loved the night out with my wife. She really loved the Mario Kart game, we only played it once though as it was $2 for 1 pretty quick race each time we both played (or $1 per race)

I come mostly for my weekly D&D Encounters fix (contrary to what some might assume from the name, it is not a very specialized adult dating service). Having said that, they have a pretty impressive espresso bar and ice cream parlor (cones, shakes, sundaes and banana splits) with both standard and exotic flavors. If you're more of a console or arcade gamer, they again have you covered with many classic and modern offerings; a popular option seems to be the $10 unlimited play option, which seems like a good

BEWARE--AS YOU MIGHT BE ILLEGALLY RECORDED HERE. So sad to be leaving this review. My friends and I always come here and it was one of our favorite places to hang out and unwind. However, the other night, two friends and I decided to spend our time there during the last 30 minutes they were open. We go to pay and my friend jokingly says "I heard we get 50% off for wearing costumes" being that all 3 of us were dressed up. We laugh it off and the employee said no and had apparently taken it seriously even t

Went here on my birthday, and with my family. The place is divided into two floors, a downstairs with several dozen video games, pinball machines, and an eating area. The upstairs is divided into two rooms, one for VR gaming, and the other for table top, miniatures, board and console gaming. We loved it here! For $50, four people could play any of the above games as much as they wanted all day. No tokens, no nickel and diming, just honest extensive fun. Additionally, we enjoyed a full dinner (burger, f

A great atmosphere with friendly employees that will work with you with pretty much anything. Plus, all the pinball machines are now covered by the flat rate wristband so go have fun with the Addam's family or Doctor Who variants while drinking a matcha shake.

Great place to geek out and meet local gamers! The days of seeing the "Continue?" screen then checking your pockets for quarters, only to realize you're out of ammo (quarters) are OVER. The All Day arcade pass is one of the best things to happen to gaming, since the thumb-sized joystick.

LOVED. IT, met a new friend, played Step Mania X and a new fighting game and got a new friend on Switch, the owner is really nice and plays the same games that I do. AMAZING experience, recommend

Great pricing, and an amazing selection of games to play. One of the last true arcades left in pittsburgh! Would definitely recommend if you need a way to kill a few hours and have 10-20 bucks.

We rented this place for my 5yr olds birthday 3/19 and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I think the adult guest had more fun here than the kids, we will be back in the future!

Great place for teens and up; byob, small cork charge (1$ per 6pack). Other than that, you can pay by the hour (7$) or get a monthly or weekly membership. If you just want to play a bunch of games, come here and you will fit right in. Board games, VR, retro, and new consoles all here ready to play! Visit today!

Tons of fun. Lots of machines to play, only $15 for unlimited play time. Staff is friendly and milkshakes they make are awesome. Upstairs, they have every console game you could dream of, so amazing.

Have only done the board games upstairs. Haven't been super impressed with the recommendations of the game staff as it seems they were recommending things based on their interests and not what we were looking for (ex. non-cooperative, strategy, quick moves, no cards/dice).

Wasn't a bad experience but it could've been better. Employees were half paying attention upstairs and parents weren't really controlling their kids and I had a kid just jump on to the game I was trying to play before I even had a chance to sit down and touch the controller. Also had a kid just wander into the VR room while me and my gf and my friend were still scheduled to take our turns and no one told him to get out or wait his turn. Will probably be back in the future for the late night gaming when they

Love this place! Old school pinball machines. Joystick fighter machines. Decent food. Decent price to be able to play them all. They also have a console and tabletop room off from the main room. Parking is hard to find but it is in Southside so its to be expected. They do tournaments and tabletop game nights, DnD nights.

Had my son's birthday party here and it was amazing. The kids all had fun, the adults had fun, just a great place. We will definitely be returning.

Pinball arcade with some retro games too! BYOB but you can bring your own food & they do have soda. Great prices!

Super fun and cheap date or activity. Staff were friendly. A fun environment over all.

Love this place, great selection of board and console games to play, with a friendly staff that is there to help. The only gripe is, is that they no longer serve food, so it's less convenient if you're there all day. Other than that it's a great place.

Really had the best birthday wit me and my bestfriend the person at the counter was really cool and even fixed a pinball machine just so I could play it. He's him?????????

ARCADE! Its an arcade and i love it. Hige selection of games and pinball and the milk shakes they serve are great. The rpgs they had upstairs were... odd... even by dnd nerd status, and werent the most welcoming. But they have every game and console under the sun up there so? Overall a good place but the dnd gave me an "odd" impression.

Awesome little arcade. Has a DDR Supernova 2 machine, TheaterRhythm Final Fantasy (No Nesica access on the machine), awesome nerdy vibe to the place. Today's (2019-11-29) NPC was fantastic. The console game room was occupied with a Smash tournament (updated as the owner replied) so entry price was lower than normal. If I ever need a game day while I'm still in Pittsburgh, I will definitely be back!!

Came here for the first time after multiple recommendations from people and I have to say that it is by-far the best arcade I have come to. They have a good selection of arcade cabinets, and I love the Japanese imports. Also love the selection of console games. Good food too

Only been there once, but really liked my experience. The group of friends I was with spent several hours there enjoying the gaming selections both downstairs and up. Can't wait to visit again.

Arcade, ice cream, and fun? That's what Victory Pointe offers in the South Side of Pittsburgh. It's easy to miss, but once you know it's there, you won't want to miss it again. It's easily a place to visit by yourself or with a group of friends.

An awesome stop if you enjoy games - they have a large selection of card and board, arcade, and video games to enjoy. Having a cafe on the premises is fabulous- all around this is one of my new favorite destinations. I cannot wait to go back for more!!

Really Retro place in the heart of the Southside. They serve food till the late evening and the place is byob while it remains open. Downstairs is a loaded arcade. Upstairs contains a collection of consoles with games at a vendor and table games. Definitely worth trying out sometimes. There is a cover to go in buy play time is unlimited and the pricing is very reasonable.

Great place to escape the rigors of day to day life. The one bad thing I have to report is the owners had to shut the kitchen down. They simply couldn't afford to keep it running. Real pity as they had good food.

Awesome place, I'm in love with most of these games and the staff is very friendly. Food is suppose to happen eventually but they have drinks. The all day pass is a steal!

Victory Pointe has been a wonderful arcade for years, with affordable prices and a wide selection of arcade, board, and video games. Additionally, the milkshakes are delicious, their BYOB policy is great, and the technicians offer helpful advice to arcade game owners as well.

Victory Pointe is my boyfriend and I's favorite spot to hang in Pittsburgh! The arcade is versatile and fun including pinball, fighting games, shooters, Mario Kart, and so much more! Upstairs they have VR, every console you can imagine, and board and card games. Its all-you-can-play so you pay once and it's a free for all! They have the BEST milkshakes in all of Pittsburgh and they are an absolute must for every visit!! PLEASE visit this place! As a side note it is an LGBT friendly place! They dont serve al

Great little arcade with an awesome ice cream bar to boot. Perfect for a date night or just any night really. And the people there are so nice. They very clearly love what they do

This is a very fun place. I enjoy all of it (arcade games, board games, video game consoles, and virtual reality). It is a great place for a date night or just to hang with friends. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the board games.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge.
