You know it's a hype place when it's the after party location for prom! Countless lanes, clean shoes, unlimited bowling balls, clean bathrooms, full bar and food made to order? it's a great date night! Staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was bright and everyone was focused on having a great time. I'm not a bowler but I enjoyed it from start to finish thanks to the great staff and support members. When the prom crews started showing up I knew it was an even better spot to be. We'll be back!
Seems like a good place to go bowling. Kids loved it. Was there for a birthday party for my grandson. Only issue is the bathrooms need to be cleaned!
Really nice staff. Clean. Looked nice for a Saturday. Burger was greasy, and the bun fell apart, but otherwise, it was good. Pictures are from 2 separate trips here. One set is from April 2024, and the newer ones are from August 2024.
First time going. Took both my kids.we had a great time. I paid $50 for two hours and played 5 games. Not much of a crowd also which is always nice. Just parents having fun bowling with their kids.
We extend our deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the staff on February 22, 2025@9:30pm, for their exceptional response during a frightening incident involving a missing child in our family. Their swift actions, including immediately contacting the Vestavia Police Department and conducting a thorough search while remaining with us, were invaluable. This experience served as a powerful reminder to our family of how quickly a seemingly safe situation can become dangerous when children are involved. W
Fantastic bowling alley and general social spot. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and it was fairly busy for the middle of the afternoon on a Friday! Individual and group rates are available ($50 for 2 hours and six bowlers is the largest advertised at the counter). Lanes were well maintained and the software was easy to use, with bumpers and games other than normal bowling available. Nice sized arcade in the front. Extensive snack and bar menu available, and the prices were fairly reasonabl
We had a really great company Christmas party here. Bowling was exceptional with multiple games available on the scoreboard, along with silly features to add a little humor. All equipment was in good shape and we had a private room for our Dirty Santa ornament exchange. If we went here every year I'd be happy.
Nice inside. Friendly staff. Clean. The exterior looks pretty rough but the inside is much nicer. Good sized arcade as well. They have a screen printing and embroidery area. They also sell snacks and beer.
We arrived at approximately 445pm on a Wednesday. The place was not very crowded and had over half the lanes open. Prices were comparable to other places. For a family of 4 with shoe rental, we paid $40 for 1 game. What made this less enjoyable was they said they would be doing lane maintenance and at first was not going to give us a lane but as the sales person was telling us that, the manager on duty came around and said he could give us 2 lanes near the end. (We had a family of 3 with us as well paying s
Had a blast! All four kiddos had a blast, both the arcade and the lanes looked great! Restrooms were clean! Staff was friendly! Food was delicious, even busy the cooks were accommodating and kind! Will be back soon!
Truly enjoyed this place other than a staff member flirting hard while I was with my husband and kids ?? very fun and they have some good specials which makes family fun affordable. Have fun and play to win! ??
We had so much fun, great environment. They cleaned the lane after each bowler. The game section was a bonus
Been here before 10 out of 10 had a wonderful time. Customer service was great. A lot of parking space.
This place has been renovated since I last visited, and it looks better with the upgrades. In our group, we ordered the cheese fries, pizza, and a couple of mixed drinks. Everything was good! We had enough equipment even though the alley was full and everything worked fine. It was a nice time.
Great bowling alley. My daughter Alix participated in the Transplant Games of America and won Silver in her age group!
Had my youngest daughter's 14th birthday here this past weekend. Everyone had a great time. Staff was awesome, especially the snack bar crew who put up with 15 different orders :)
Kinda old timy looking alley. The game room looks cool. Has a bar and pool hub that looks nice. The staff was really cool. My only complaint is the music. Idk if the staff shares the aux but one song will be a vibe then the next 3 would be not a vibe. It's an easier time for you to bowl next to strangers with good music. Everybody loved the cha-cha slide and let loose a bit more. After, somebody played a slow country song then it got weird lol.
I can't recommend Ryan's Pro Shop enough. He was so helpful and drilled our balls perfectly. Definitely the best place for bowling equipment!
Great Bowling Alley. All electronics have been updated their scoring systems have multiple games to play with your kids along with smartphone syncing which is very cool. Staff is friendly and the food is very good. Overall a great night out!
Fun! Fun and more fun! Clean facility with a family atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Huge food selection. Great service.
My family and I had a good time. Paid 75.00 for 2 hours of bowling, for 6 adults. The place is a little bit dated, but fun.
Everyone working here is very nice. The lanes are clean and well lit. The music is the right volume. The electronic scoreboard offers plenty of different game modes. They have a large assortment of different weights of balls (5-13). They also have a concession stand which is a little pricey. We went on Saturday with four people and were able to get a lane despite a competition going on. Their specials are alright too ($80 for 2 hours for up to 6 people including shoes). I don't go bowling that often but nex
First time visiting Alabama. the wife and I came across vestavia bowl and decided to check it out and We had a great time! The staff were extremely friendly and nice. The blowing alley was clean, they had plenty of bowling balls to select from and the lanes were kept up and functioning great. I'll definitely be visiting vestavia bowl again. Loved it!
We went there for a kids' birthday party and were surprised to find it such a busy and energetic place on a Saturday afternoon. Clean, bright, and family-friendly place. Food and service were also good.
Great attentive staff! Always a good time!!
I really enjoyed my experience at the bowling alley. My daughter had her party there and the customer service and assistance we received was top tier. Everyone that ordered food and a bar beverage was also pleased. We will definitely be back.
Good setup, chill people, and solid food!
Friendly, clean, great food,& drinks, but charge by the hour.
Enjoyed it, but the AC was out.
My experience here with the family is usually good but the man working the concession area does not have good customer service. Previous times he didn't seem very friendly and this time my son and I and another gentleman behind us waited to order and he never acknowledged that we were there. He was literally 3 feet away. The man behind us left and my son and I waited a little longer before we walked away. No hello or how can I help you or be with you in a moment. Terrible service.
Good place to bowl and have some events.
We had a blast today at my son?s birthday party! Superb service and atmosphere and fantastic pizza! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Thank you for helping make a bunch of 6 year olds very very happy!!
Great place to visit, knowledgeable friendly staff and and a well stocked pro shop.
It is a little dated like many bowling centers but the staff was great and all the equipment was in great shape.
Perfect place for bowling in this area. It's cheap and has great food and drinks too!
Enjoyable and fun. Well lit and spacious. I would give it five stars but the concessions were not manned on a consistent basis (it was Sunday afternoon) . I went up to get a Coke twice and nobody was in there but they also have a vending machine on premises so that did the trick. Bathrooms and main areas are clean and well maintained, except it was brought to my attention that the air vents in the ceilings and the ceiling tiles that surround them were really dirty and dusty. Overall a fun, friendly, reasona
Even though it was a wait we enjoyed the bartender, the game room, and the food! My family and I had a great time! We will be back for family night
Fun time with the family, we had a great play time, an interesting place it was.
The people that work there are friendly the place is older but clean prices are really good to bow
Had so much family fun. Will return.
I really appreciate y?all hosting special needs group. I will forever give you my business and tell all my friends what a great thing y?all are doing. Great service on helping when a bowl got stuck very fast helping us.
Nice and friendly staff. Was very clean. And neat. The snack shop had great prices and portions and was on point! The whole family had a blast, we will definitely be back!
I've been to quite a few bowling alley and though this one wasn't the best, it also wasn't the worst. This alley is modern with an aged feel, in my opinion. It does rank among the larger alleys I've visited but it doesn't impress me as family friendly when it comes to visual appeal. This facility is very colorful outside and inside which draws road attention and attracts children and mothers. Though the colors outside are hard on the eyes, at least during the day, the inside is fun and easy on the eyes.
I had a pretty good time here with family for a birthday celebration. The service was a little underwhelming but overall the place is decent.
Great food and customer service. Good choices in the bar as well
It had been years since I had been here. Recently visited twice with my Grandchildren and was pleasantly surprised. It's clean, well-run and the clientele is mostly families and serious bowlers. Very affordable. And when you are done bowling there is a game room/arcade that the kids (and kids at heart) will love.
I love vestavia bowl. The food is pretty good and more appropriately priced than the 280 bowling alley. There is a separate area for birthday parties which I ?? love. The entire place is always clean with many sanitizing stations. Many friendly staff members around to help before you even have to ask. The arcade here is a wonderful asset. It's very large and you don't even have to have coins, you just load a card. It keeps track of tickets as well. I definitely recommend this place.
Lanes are well maintained. Food is lack-luster, bur cheap. Good prices on beer especially on day you can get 10$ pitchers. Generally good service.
I love coming to Vestavia Bowl. It is always a fun time. Great drinks, great food, always have friendly and polite staff. I will definitely be back!!
I enjoyed my time here. Typical bowling environment. Our lane stopped working a few times but I had fun. We had cheese pizza that was good. It wasn't scorching hot. Drinks were cold. Music was appropriate. Ladies room was clean & counter was wiped down & dry. Staff was friendly. Front parking area could use more lighting. Overall I will come back.
It was fun to bowl with co-workers. The lady at the desk was rude so highly unlikely I'll go back. The lane we we were on was not in the optimal location. It was near a party room entrance and young children kept walking in front of us, putting their hands on the gutters or lane - just unsafe. And when mentioned at the desk, that same lady was rude/short. Not a place I want to hang out if that's how you treat customers.
Great place love the bowling and the laser Tag attraction. I'm not a fan of the food court. The food isn't that great, and it's rather expensive. The only downside that comes up almost every time would be that the music that blasts through multiple speakers is loud enough to give my family headaches.
Fun but when did it start to cost $40.00 to bowl two games? A little dated for just remodeling from a flood a few years ago, However overall no problems with equipment or staff. Clean and felt safe with kiddos.
Called to reserve a lane and was quoted $190? Did you guys bump your head? Edit: If $190 is incorrect then you might want to educate your staff that told me otherwise. $90 per lane is also laughable. I've been to other (much nicer) bowling alleys for about a 4th of that price.
I took my 3 year old and 7 month old there tonight. The staff was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. What a wonderful experience! With a stroller in tow, the staff offered to set up my toddler's ramp and took her ball down to our lane. I was very grateful. It was expensive to bowl, but we wound up going during peak times and I knew the price before we went since their website easily displays their open bowl times and cost. We will definitely be back!
Went bowling for Father?s Day while traveling with family and we were spending the night in Birmingham. Asked the guy at 8:55 what would be the best deal for 4 bowlers. He said if you wait 5 min it goes to a $1 a game per person. Appreciate the great customer service. He could have charged me the higher price and not told me about the special at 9. I'll be back!
rude customer service front guy at desk! Black guy bald head very unprofessional Many complaints about him needs to be addressed ASAP! It's very common to see a negative attitude from him.
Great pace to bowl! Plenty of lanes, bowling balls, and snack options! My only complaint is it needed some good TLC to the bathrooms and outside area, but overall a great place to go! Plus the rent by the lane deal is fantastic! Especially if you have a lot of people!
It's a good place to bowl. Decent snack bar and adult bar. Arcade is lacking in updated games and working games. Staff was quick to. Fix lane issues. Don't ask for a 6lb ball with your child with you. Or you get the third degree. I think it's easier asking for a kidney. Lol.
It's like going back in time to 1987. Quaint locale, hardly even noticed that it's flooded in here five times.
My kids went to a birthday party. It was nice that they were separated from the main floor. Big screen tv and the food is pretty good too. The other part is that it could use some updating, nothing major
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about where they work! The prices were much better than other bowling alleys i have been too($22/ two frames of ten.). Oly bad thing is they do not carry Dr. Pepper since the only carry Coke products.
We went there for my daughter's birthday we did cosmic bowling it was awesome we had a great time. We had to wait a little while for a lane because we didn't call ahead. If you call 24 hours in advance you can reserve your lanes. Great family place. They have food and drinks as well as cocktails.
Food is poorly made. Not worth the price you pay at all. Better off going somewhere else before or after the alley. The alley itself isn't too bad, had a small thing happen that paused our match. Took a while for someone to come and fix it.
The bowling was fun, but I really appreciate the sweet worker who took the initiative to show me a private place where I could nurse my baby. I was planning on going to the bathroom but she let me use their private room. It means a lot that she took the time to do that for me and my infant! ??
We enjoyed the cosmic bowling! They have a few lanes set up with dance music, lights , etc.
Really clean & nice. Employees friendly. Cheaper than the competition. Real Bar, Food counter, and gameroom including 2 pool tables and 2 air hockey tables. Only down side: bumpers have to stay up for everyone in the game, they don't automaticallly raise & lower with players. And the kid ramp for them to push the ball down is really made for little tots, so its too small for early elementary age kids who may still need help. Otherwise we had a wonderful evening and recommend it!
So much better than the bowling alley in Pelham. For one the staff is friendly. They seem like they actually want you there which pollen does not. they've gone through some upgrades recently and have a great game room for the kids. There's also a separate area with neon for little kids or big kids. And has an old feel to it which I actually like. Will go there frequently.
Very clean. Social distancing is being practiced. Personally saw staff come out and sanitize the table and chairs after the customers left the area. The ball's are separated from the main floor so you dont have to worry about touching them without them being sanitized.
VB offers over a dozen lanes, clean ? facilities, and arcade room, a bar that's a long side a kitchen that serves a decent menu, and adaptability ramps. This place is really awesome and the staff was amazing.
The experience was very enjoyable and convenient. The prices were fair (I purchased a lane for two hours for 6 people and it costed $60, which isn't that bad). Only complains I have are that all the bowling balls are around the same size so it may be a bit difficult for minors to bowl, and their pizza wasn't really that good. I also watched as they reused the pizza slicer for different types of pizza, and could only wonder what if someone was allergic to the toppings on one pizza, and then they reused the c
Could use some updates but comfortable place for a fun outing! Acouole healthy options at the Cafe would be a boost to. Definitely still on my outing list.
Pizza was burnt and dough was thin tasted stale the cook who cooked my pizza had stains in they shirt and roaches crawling up the wall 10/10 do not recommend also they said 10 mins it was a hour our bowling was done by time our pizza came out lazy workers
Excellent service!! Food was awesome. Social distancing rules DO APPLY!! AS WELL AS WEARING A MASK. My family had a great time.
The food at Vestavia Bowl was more than expected. The burger was great, fries were hot and pizza was on point. However, our lane kept acting up which delayed us with our friends on the other lane.
I couldn't tell them how many lanes I would need to reserve so I couldn't reserve any BUT they saved us a group of lanes on the end anyway because we'd be there regardless if it was 5 or 50. Need some low carb options at snack bar, but it's a bowling alley so ???????
We used to love the arcade here. Now it's all electronic like everywhere else and it just seems like it rips you off a lot more than it used to which is unfortunate. Tickets and tokens bring back good memories.
The staff there were very unattentive of the customers needs. I mean there were some that tried, but the ones that weren't doing a good job outweighed those who were doing a great job. Also there were so many glitches in the lanes that I spent more time trying to get them to fix the issues than I did actually bowling. My whole thing is if you don't like your job that much just quit. Instead of dredging through the day being unhappy, and showing the customers that fact.
My husband and I took our daughter bowling for the first time for her 4th birthday this past December. It was seriously an awful experience, not only did it cost us a small fortune to play ONE game, the employees were so incredibly rude to us. They talked down to us so badly and made so many smart remarks. We looked over it many times, just to keep the peace and give our daughter a great birthday. The lanes were horrible. The balls rolled straight to the left no matter what we did. Not to mention everything
Overpriced and the score boards didn't work, the pins got stuck too. I called to reserve 2 lanes, was told they don't reserve on Saturdays and was put on hold never to return. Called back, talked to a different person, was quoted a higher price than before.
Absolutely the WORST bowling lanes ever! The balls get stuck regularly, the pins tend to not reset, the system constantly jams and the staff has to be the laziest bunch of folks they could hire. No one worked the bar area yet there workers standing around chatting. NEVER go to this place for a family function.
All of the staff was friendly. The alleys and restrooms were impeccably clean. My family and I had a wonderful time and look forward to returning!
This place was awful I will not be back !!! My husband, myself and 2 of our kids came out for a family fun night and the only thing fun about it was that we was spending time together as a family!! The service was awful, and the money we spent on 4 of us to bowl was just way to high to to spend most of the hour that coast us $48 waiting on the lane to be fixed so we might have bowled 20 full mins out of the hour we payed for. Don't waste ur money here go somewhere else!!!
Came for birthday party. Ordered a Large drink which came to $3.25 after giving me my drink the COOK then told me they didn't have any lids for a large cup. With the flu going around and a ton of adults and children walking around I, like a normal person would refer a lid in a crowded place. I asked for a med cup because med lids were available. The cashier handed me the cup, no problem. Then the cook chimed in saying it's Another $1. 25 for a cup. We then had to get the maanger who said, don't worry about
We had a fun time bowling with the family. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour due to league bowlers having reserved the lanes. They could use some updating of individual bowling screens. Some of the letters on our screen wouldn't work and the cashier had to put the names in for us.
Nice place. One of our lanes kept breaking down but they were right on it each time. Beer was ice cold. Reasonable prices for everything. Lots of arcade games, too.
Great affordable family fun!
My young boys love coming here! We always have fun from bowling a few games to playing in the game room. The food from the snack bar is always good. There is even a pro shop if you are interested in purchasing bowling supplies of your own!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
