Up-Down Minneapolis ? Games, Beer & Vibes ?????? Arcade + beer + pizza? Can't go wrong. Loved the vibe ? perfect spot to hang with friends and play some classic games. ?? The bar has a huge variety of beers, and the food was way better than I expected. The pizza hit the spot and everything came out quick. Honestly, exceeded expectations. Definitely a must if you're into arcade bars with chill energy and great drinks.

I went here for the first time the other day and it was a great experience from the environment to the pizza to the staff it was just wonderful the whole way around I would highly to just go into this arcade if you're in the uptown area

Wow, this place blew me away! I loved the gritty and energetic atmosphere. The beer selection is simply nuts, and the game selection is huge! The staff were great, and the pizza I saw people eating looked yummy! If you are spending the night in Minneapolis, stop by here for sure!

We visited on a Saturday evening when there are 2x for 1 tokens and played forever on $20. Lots of classic video games in great condition and many pinball games that were fun. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Many of the games have drink holders or a ledge which is handy. There were servers got around to take drink orders. Been here twice and can't wait to get back! The games are such classics and are an absolute blast. There's a cute outdoor seating area with the same upstairs! Never got around to trying the food but heard from others that it's great. Being open so late is even better for those who work late!

Great barcade. I try not to go on regular busy times because it can get a little wild. I've seen some security problems potentially but they have good staff that handles it and regular police presence. (Typically I try to avoid places that need police presence but this is a fun spot with great pizza and a lot of pinball machines)

It was fine but probably won't make it a regular spot. ID check at the door, lots of drinks on tap, tons of games, pizza, and a donut vending machine. Came here for some entertainment and greasy food. We were surprised how good the pizza tasted. The tomato sauce was on point, the meats were good. I would enjoy the dough more if it was a little more chewy. It plenty of pinballs machine and classic 80-90s games. The best part, it's only a quarter a game.

This place is awesome has tons of retro games and it's always busy. I never had to wait long for service at the bar, mainly just waiting around for your favorite pinball machine to open up lol. Definitely going to come back here again. The pizza was better the first time we came though.

Located on the heart of Lyn-Lake. It's the place to be in Minneapolis. The old and the new live next to each other. The games are cheap but the drinks and food are kinda overpriced. There are specials every day. Many arcades from the 80?s. Pinball machines and so much more. It's a great place to hang out. There is quite a following for this place. There is a tiny pizza shop behind the bar and a premium donut vending machine on the side of the pizza shop.

My wife and I like going here. There is a great mix of pinball machines and legacy arcade games. There is a great selection of drinks and the people who work here are attentive, helpful, and very nice. We stopped in and they had a Valentine's week deal with 80 tokens, 6 tallboys (beers), a huge pizza, and a fanny pack for $40. That is an incredible deal especially since all pinball and games are a quarter (1 token). The pizza tasted great but was very messy and hard to eat the way it was cooked and sliced.

We were there for a date night and got to eat the pizza which was reasonably priced. The atmosphere of games what what we came for. Be aware that you need cash here. They do have an atm on site.

I went with friends on a Friday night and it was too busy to be enjoyable. Lines for games lasted longer than the games themselves, which to me is not worth it. Almost every game we tried was broken in some way. Drinks are not cheap either. The atmosphere was loud and crowded, and not really in a fun way. Also, the token system is kind of a hassle compared to other similar bars that just use quarters.

This is probably the biggest Up-Down location I've visited. I love the multi-level entertainment options and outdoor area. There's a ton of games; though, I wouldn't say a huge variety. Unfortunately, this location stays so busy that it's difficult to play a lot of their games anyway. Good for them! Bad for us. Try to come on a week day. The pizza also kind of sucked compared to other locations I've been to but I'll chalk it up to them being crazy busy. I'd still probably go back

Very nostalgic arcade, perfect for Gen X and Xennials like myself. Tmnt, simpsons, X-men beat em ups, plus classic arcade games like ms pac man. Lots of pinball plus skee-ball and basketball. So we've been to other places like this in other city?s so we had to check this place out. Every game we played was just one token other places the pinball can be two tokens. They had a wide selection of games and about 12 pinball games as well. Large bar area and the bartenders are nice. They even have a pizza window and we tried that as well and it was not a bad pizza. On a Friday night this place will feel like a nightclub to most folks. It gets crowded and noisy. Up Down is a really cool place. They have a great selection of arcade games, I've always been able to find open machines to play, they have a roof patio and outdoor seating on both levels. The beer selection is good, the pizza is good. My wife and I really like the joust machine. The only downside is it's popularity means it can get cramped on weekends.

It's dope. New games, great pizza, everyone seems chill for the most part. Good vibes. They have lots of flavors of red bull for the non drinkers and tons of taps.

I will never in my life come here again. I literally watched three security guards jump on a white man for no reason he was a little intoxicated, but he was just looking for his phone. It was the saddest thing I ever experienced. All of them. Security should be fired and I am looking to put in a complaint. This is unacceptable. I never in my life seen someone get jumped on without anyone trying to help him. The security are trash and all of them should be fired.

Up down provided a classic arcade experience with an adult atmosphere. It was perfect you could have a couple of beers a few slices of pizza and play a lot of the old classic games. Pizza was decent a lot of local beers around the menu a good prices. Arcade cabinet selection was pretty good too I am happy to say who is nice to see some of the older classics still running around.

Best Barcade I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot). Amazing game selection from new indie cabinets, to classics, to even rarities and niche games. They even have consoles set up to challenge friends or others to games like mario kart and melee. Unfortunately went when it was snowing but apparently they even have an old DDR machine upstairs! Insane beer selection and overall amazing barcade. Wish there was one closer to me :)

The staff here are fantastic. While everyone (patrons) are gaming and doing their own thing, the wonderful people working are making things easy for everyone. I can't say enough about their hospitable work ethic and attitudes to help everyone and make this place hum. If there was any issue with a guest I do not believe I would ever notice because they would have it handled already. They are gracious and humble and I appreciate all the great work they do!

Loved our time here! I think it gets pretty packed if you go out at night but we went at 2pm and it was much more manageable. The pizza by the slice is what really makes the whole experience.

Really fun "barcade". The music was louder than I would of like for 7 pm but it is a bar. There was a wide array of arcade games most of which were working. The interior is really cool. As a child of the 70s, this place is right in my wheelhouse. Ok so the atmosphere and selection of games at this arcade is incredible. The price of the games is so cheap too, with 20$ in tokens four of us were playing for hours.
