ULTRAZONE Extreme Laser Tag

ULTRAZONE Extreme Laser Tag

Reviews Summary

Overall, Ultrazone receives highly positive feedback, with most reviews praising the fun, immersive experience and exceptional staff. Many highlight the great value, especially with Groupon deals, and note it's enjoyable for all ages. The arena's atmosphere and friendly competition are frequently mentioned as strengths. Some minor complaints include occasional equipment issues and overcrowding, but these are overshadowed by the overwhelmingly positive experiences. Families, parties, and team-building groups particularly recommend it. A few negative reviews cite poor customer service or malfunctioning gear, but these are outliers. The consensus: a fantastic, affordable activity with standout staff and memorable gameplay.

Customer Reviews

We had a really good time! The staff here was very nice and attentive. We enjoyed the play area, and each game can play differently with free for all and teams.

This is a great place to have a party if you wanna include adults in on the fun. The price was affordable and the service was amazing!! Hunter was my party host he did great. I had my son 6th birthday party there yesterday and everything went perfect. You get a good amount of pizza and unlimited drinks, 2 games of laser tag, you get a good amount of tokens for the arcade and the party bags are nice and neat. The whole day was well put together I give this place a 10/10! I think the adults had as much fun a

Had a great time with my brother and girlfriend here. We ended up going at a time that wasn't busy at all but luckily a father and son showed up so we could have a decent size team playing. We got the 3 game pass for only $20 which I thought was a great deal for 15 minutes each game. Staff was extremely friendly and funny, and all the equipment worked well. The arena was also extremely interesting with 2 stories and tons of obstacles to play around. Overall a great experience and we'll definitely come back

Awesome place, helps they have a super cute girl working there. Very helpful and hot!

Am I missing something or is it that this place is closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; then only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4pm? Just a vacationer looking for things to do in Myrtle Beach, but it seems businesses here stay closed than they do open. Ridiculous and unbelievable. Wanted to play at this establishment and seems they're closed all weekdays but for Friday starting at 4pm!

Visited for the first time with some friends this week, and had an amazing time! it's my first time doing laser tag so i was a bit nervous, but an employee named Payton was incredibly patient, sweet, and helpful and made sure I had fun all throughout. will definitely be coming back!

We stopped by here wanting to play arcade games and a round of lazer tag, kids had a lot of fun.

Went for Power Play on Friday. For 2 people, I think the total was about $50 total for unlimited play from 8-midnight. I played 4 games and LOVED it there. As someone who grew up playing with my family, I have to say this is one of the better arenas. PROS: there are 2 floors, that's always one of the big things I look for when trying to find a good arena and this one had it! The gear worked great and was in good condition as well! CON: The briefing room and arena get very hot?.so be prepared to sweat a lot

We had an awesome birthday party at Ultrazone! The party package was a great price for all that we got. Our game master was extremely helpful and the kids had so much fun with him! He definitely made it a party experience. We will be back and highly recommend!

We visited Ultrazone on a work team building trip and I must say we had an amazing time. Peyton, Jeremy, Becky, and Aaron made it so fun, and memorable. All of our competitive sides came out, and we would definitely do it again. Looking for a fun family activity try Ultrazone!

My interesting experience at Ultrazone that turned very positive! Three friends and myself went Saturday afternoon having never been here. TLDR; Positive - Staff was friendly and nice to us! Art was cool! Laser tag arena was great and very immersive. Staff was super helpful! Staff was excited to talk with us! Great experience! Can't wait to come back! Negative - The children in the children's party were not listening to rules and parents weren't parenting, staff tried their best, parents didn't help and

Super friendly staff, Amazing Arena! Their Power Play pass is the best deal, all you can play for only $22!!! Played for hours with my 3 kids. Great for all ages, and arcade is super fun too!

Me and all my friends have been coming here for years! Not only is it great fun for a family but even in our 20s there fun for everyone! Between the games, soda, ice cream, and pizza it's always a guaranteed great time here. Not to mention great prices. 5 out of 5 stars.

Awesome fun with the family! We come EVERY year when we come to Myrtle Beach. Always friendly, always clean and we always have a good time!

Awesome place for a birthday party! So easy, fun, and care free!!! Our boys sure enjoyed every minute of their party! Thanks so much for all your help and a great experience!

This place was AMAZING!!! Jeremy, Payton, Becky & Aaron did an AWESOME job hosting our work team build. They were patient, fun, and made this one of the best outings ever. With 7000 sq ft of space, you are gonna have a great time!

Went there today with a large professional group. They advertised team building activity for businesses. They nailed it! I definitely recommend, even with a group of friends. Hand painted graphics throughput the facility for the sci-fi enthusiasts on the wall that triggers my imagination and brought me back to my youth.

The place is nice and the arena. Is nice and has a good fun layout. When we went there were not any other people there so my friend and I played the game by our selves. It is a great place to bring kids. They are probably busier in the later hours of the day and it is probably much more fun then.

My first time playing laser tag so didn't really know what to expect. Must say that the family and I had a great time. Staff explained everything as well as the video. The arena was a nice size and there was 24 peeps in there and no one was running into each other. Lots of fun, heading back 2 more times before we head back to New Jersey!!

Absolutely a fantastic experience. Staff Trent, Nyla, and Peyton were fantastic and very patient with my children. They went above and beyond to make our experience outstanding and fun. I Highly highly recommend this place for laser-tag-family FUN!!!

Staff was very friendly! So much fun with just 2 people I can only imagine how much fun it would be when it got busy(my brother and I got there at opening time) all day pass for 2 people(open to Like midnight) is only $65. Prices are very reasonable and they also have a small arcade! I will definately go here again next time I'm on vacation!

had a lovely time playing laser tag for the first time and payton was such a sweetheart for helping me out ????

Really fun time. The area is two stories so it feels very large, the guns are accurate so it feels fun when you obliterate your friends, the time you get to play is also pretty long so your able to get a lot of points. Definitely recommend this place.

The building does not look like much from the outside but It has a lot of different areas to run and play lazer tag. There is an upstairs area as well as a downstairs area. I really enjoyed coming to this arena with my kids. Its definitely affordable and fun. The staff is very nice and I'm happy we came here.

Good place to take the kids.. Adults can have fun too... Only draw back from the few times we have Ben the place gets pretty warm. You start swetting pretty much as soon as you walk in the door. Still a decent place to spend an hour.

My family of six had alot of fun. We were a little skeptical of the outside apprearence and how the arena for laser tag looked but we were soon relieved of any doubt. It was very dark as soon as you get in and they explain the rules very well. They helped us put on the vest and very helpful. It has like ramps and places to hide and shoot. It was very fun we enjoyed it. One person lost their phone then at the end of the game they cleared everyone out to look for it. They had great service. I am glad my famil

Great family fun for a reasonable price! Played a couple games as a family and let the boys play another few times after. They had a blast, the game area was a good size, and they provided a stat count at the end for those that are serious about their laser tag.

My grandsons, age 5 and 6, loved this laser tag. I had purchased tickets on Groupon for triple plays. We played two games one day and was able to return another day for the third game. The staff were friendly and when we were there, we were able to play as our own group. If you haven't done laser tag, it's a lot of fun for all ages.

A super fun time! Very intense and great to play, even better with family, and offers water and refreshments! It's a little hot in the arena but that's not a large issue, scoring is a bit odd on the TV screen but other than that a lovely experience!

Had a great time. Awesome shooting area and newer vests. The lady who was the game master was a sharp shooter! Thought the orices were extremely affordable for the unlimited play. My kids had a blast! Will be back next year!!

The people who work here are amazing. The prices are fantastic for the laser tag. Less than $20 for all-day laser tag is fantastic. They encourage a friendly attitude and not all the saltiness that usually stems from competitive games. Definitely will come back here.

Best laser tag arena. Staff is AMAZING great with parties. If you are on vacation the spot to go. Arcade is sweet too the kids loved it

We had my son?s 11th birthday. They were great. The kids and the adults loved it. I would definitely recommend this to others. The price is reasonable. The pizza is from Papa John?s which is always yummy.

Had a great time with my teen boys. Love the new updated lobby under the new ownership the past couple years. We have been coming for years and new updates are awesome! Lots of new updates in lobby for parents to enjoy while waiting for games. The new couches and parent retro free gaming station was excellent adds. Nice to have the WiFi and tv too when the boys played for hours. Our group enjoyed the laser tag and scoring is awesome to see the results after each game. Nice to have teamwork too in the

Wow, I had been to this place years ago, It was dark , dingy and smelled a real tourist trap. I went back only because I had promised my kids laser tag if they behaved at school. I was dreading the trip. Came only to find out that the entire facility had been re done and is under new ownership and it shows. No Pack problems, TV's for my wife and me to watch when taking a break while our kids played. This place is Awesome now!!!! My son can't wait to have his party there in a few months! It used to be

Omg do this! You will not be disappointed! More than worth the Groupon. We're were a group of 6 with a 10 month old. 3 games is alot and you will work up a sweat! We took turns going in and we ranged in age from 61 to 9. Both 61 yr olds had a blast! So did the kids 9, 15, 17 and myself 39n3/4s. The staff is amazing and you will no doubt enjoy yourselves more than you can imagine. I won't lie though my first impression wasn't the best. Would buy this over and over.

It's not that often I'm so disrespected by staff at a business that I feel obligated to share the disrespect online, but this is one of few. Two employees were polite and respectful while the third. A heavy set dark haired young man was loathing vocally about our presence. His negative attitude from start to finish, side of the mouth insults to our group and downright disrespectful attitude we're lucky to only earn him a negative review instead of a firm back handing his parents should have given him. If ma

Great prices, large arena, and the equipment worked very well for the 9 games I played, very friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint would be that they didn't keep the arena very cool and I was sweating a lot after only two games. Also almost half their arcade games are broken ??

Best team build that I have ever done. Such an amazing staff. Patton, Becky, Jeremy and Aaron. Highly recommend!! So much fun

The course was nice, the staff were not very nice either. Not all of the guns are accurate which was frustrating... one round I played my gun wouldn't even work. Their arcade isn't very extensive, but it is a little expensive ($1 for most games if I remember right)

Simon did a fantastic job giving us one of the best experiences. With our family of 12, it can be a bit chaotic at times, but he did a great job getting us excited about the game. The scenes were very cool, and Simon also gave us great tips on how to play the game, and gave us some cool ways to play the game differently in order to make it one of the greatest experiences ever!

I wish more people were into it here this place was so much fun. Staff was less than enthusiastic but we still had fun. Prices and game types could use improvements. Arcade was next to pointless honestly.

This place is a find! Looks a little sketchy with it's mural, but it's my children's favorite thing about MB (we have done it ALL)!!! Staff is friendly.....to the CHILDREN! We paid $20 a child after 8pm and they played unlimited until 11pm ---the close at midnight but my kiddos lost steam (we had 2 -9 year old girls and 2- 13 year old boys). The rounds last 15 minutes and then they alternate another group in. Mine played every round!!! I would have bottled water and a snack in car......

Great place for birthday parties ??

Took my two oldest grandsons to the laser tag they loved it I also played with my wife it was a good experience the kids had a great time will be going back while we're down here excellent

This has been our family tradition for 10 years now.... I miss the Groupons I have been able to get before. It's over a 100 for the 6 of us now ... BUT I plan ahead in my budget for it.

Staff was great, laser tag was fun plus we grouponed 3 matches for $15 a person. Met and played a few matches with a nice family(thanks again!)

It was very enjoyable for 3 players to play all day, even then we had to play every other round sitting out for 10-20 minutes while others played. It was overcrowded with 40+ players in one round. Also it can be very un-enjoyable when players decide not to play fairly. The WiFi here requires you to follow them on Facebook to connect. It does have a close by Dunkin doughnuts to enjoy while waiting. later on I found that the new game master handled things way better than the one I experienced earlier in the d

A fun place to play laser tag with friends, family, and new people. (I sound like a commercial). I like the arcade in the lobby; it gives my group more things to do when we finally get tired of laser tag. Very reasonable pricing, too.

Had a coupon, which helped save on a couple games. Looks a little run down, but the arena is large and easy to get lost in. The kids enjoyed it, seats in waiting area could use a little care.

Despite reviews that indicated most of the video games were broken, I found only three out of 19 were actually down. Three others had really bad screens, but were playable. The laser tag equipment was in really good shape, except for two or three that seemed to be impenetrable, not registering hits. The staff seemed friendly, attentive, and helpful; this too despite opposing reviews. The secondary Myrtle Beach location, Surf's Up, was in-fact closed with a For Sale sign on the door. I got word from the s

Very fun we had a blast. Only complaint at one of the corners there was a nail sticking out that ripped my new shirt. They do all they can to keep everything clean and sanitary.

In short: Good for laser tagging only This is a little hole in wall place with a few games (very few), but the main thing is laser tag, pretty good course, one of the better ones I've been too It was pretty fun, 1 vsmr 25 min is $10 per person 3 games for 20

Great way to have fun and burn some calories as you dip and dive through the maze. Aiming at your blinking opponents. Game Hack: Make sure you are firmly gripping the front underside of the gun to increase the accuracy of your shots. Have a Funtastic time!

This place was amazing!!! Me , my fianc?, and my brother had a blast. The workers are very nice and very well mannered. We will definitely be going back. Also the prices were really great!

I enjoyed the laser tag. Staff was friendly and professional. We went on Groupon and purchased discounted tickets, but the amount of fun we had would have been worth paying the full price.

Great time for the kids in rainy day. The guide was the best ever !!

Great place to have a party if you have young children and are looking for a staff that can help make it a success. Thumbs UP!

Horrible customer service!!! Waste of money. Two people in our group had vests that didn't work and instead of offering to give us a free game (this is what the one where we live did when that happened) or even acting apologetic, they said "oh yeah it was messing up yesterday". So not only did they not do anything to make it right but they knew it was broken and did nothing about it so more people would waste there money. Will not be going back. Would never recommend to anyone.

We had a great time! They have a great course to play! We used a Groupon and it was well worth the full price (even though we didn't have to pay that)

Everybody, you and your kids will have a will. Best employees I've seen in ages and there's just no stopping how much fun you'll have. There were technical difficulties with the bases but I honestly couldn't of cared.

We make it a must-do to come back and play laser tag here everytime we head to the beach! It is most fun at night with a small group and have the choice of playing the different game variations.

My vest didn't work the entire game, wouldn't register any of my shots. Discovered this AFTER the game ended when my score was a whopping 50 compared to everyone else's scores in the thousands. Told the Game Master, was informed that vest was having the same issues yesterday and they'd be sure to remove it from play. Which, okay, great for future players I guess? But that was a $9 game I may as well have not been in, and they didn't even offer another game to make up for it. ALSO, please be aware, especiall

Horrible!! They went to run my credit card and said computer went down then she ran it again and something told me to look at my bank details online. I stepped outside and look and saw 2 charges on it. I went back into the place and waited at the desk for a couple of minutes. One employee was sitting down at a table, didn't get up at first playing on her phone. She finally got up and came over and I showed her that I was charged 2 times, she said ya I see that but I can not do a refund that I would have to

Under new ownership, great new look and sounds like even more to come. Great staff, big 2 story arena, and nice open arcade with even retro games for us old people :) Can't wait to come back

Ultrazone Myrtle Beach was and still is a great experience for families and friends. All the changes have made the overall enjoyment of the store and it's games much better. Parties and others enjoy their time there. I highly suggest anyone and everyone go check out Ultrazone Myrtle Beach. Staff is friendly as always and the environment there is great!!! :D

Great place for some Lasertag fun with the family. The staff is wonderful and the management realy knows how to take care of their guests. Can't wait to get back there and play.

Went to their all night play on a Friday night and actually had fun at first. The game got ruined by two kids although this isn't the places fault. After the bad kids left it became much more fun.

The laser tag was fun, nice arena, all the equipment I used seem to function properly. Could have done a better job explaining the scoring, no one said anything about the bases, or which side was which

Rainy day in Myrtle Beach, on vacation, had us looking for something indoors to do. Played a few rounds of laser tag which was fun for everyone (6-49 yrs old). Unfortunately my daughter fell and badly sprained her ankle. Staff didn't care much and could only offer a glove filled with ice to help. My youngest wanted to stay and play again (had all day passes) but with the foot injury we had to leave. Would recommend Ultrazone as a good family place to go.

Awesome place. Nice 2 story laser tag area. Intense and fun. When we had a small group the employee joined in to make it more interesting

We had so much fun we went twice two days in a row!! They also have a BOGO game deal once you purchase and play a game, it will be located on the bottom of your score card!!

Great lazer tag set up. Lots of fun. Nobody was after us so they bv extended our play. Really fun if you go with a lot of people. Downside arcade games mostly didnt work

Fantastic space with smoke effects. Can accomodate a large group. Friendly staff. You get your score card. Our group of 7 beat a group of 9. We loved it.

Awesome place for family laser tag. I took my 7 year old son and we both had a blast. Great staff and all around great facility.

Great place! Long rounds and good equipment! This will be our 3rd time, fun thing to do for fairly cheap

We had an amazing time. There's a lot of obstacles and the time seem as if it wasn't coming to an end. Thanks for making my daughter b-day celebration extremely fun.

Best lazertag place I've played at! 2 stories of arena and no force reload. Very hot but that's only if you are playing hard!

Arrived right at opening time and had the arena all to ourselves!!! A little everybody for themselves action. We all had a blast and will definitely be back.

Peyton and Aaron were amazing for my sons birthday party highly recommend! 10 stars

Love this place, never fails to bring fun with enthusiasm from the employees and the activities itself are great!

Simon the owner walked around with my niece helping her play the game so she had more fun. This place is a great place for your kids to go play at.

Amanda and tiffany were super nice and arranged things very well if you see this I said "nice meetin yall" at the end of my time there I hope to be there again it's super fun as a workout you can't realise

My family and I visited from Va. We had an awesome time. It was only us the entire time! Great, fun for the family we play 3 games.

Simon the owner is really amazing and made our day we had a blast with our group of 12 he made sure everyone was having fun and even helped out our little niece lots of fun

Everyone was nice and kids enjoyed themselves with all day laser tag. We literally stayed all day only taking a quick break to eat lunch and return.

Not a bad place to take the kiddos for game a laser tag. Air conditioning does not work very well in arena. Reasonable price!!!!

Simon the owner made my experience so amazing! I have been to many laser tags places and I was blown away with how awesome he made my families experience. The owner, Simon personally walked around with my niece to make sure she had a great time!! He was absolutely phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
