Customer Reviews

Attended during local school spring break. Liked the daily discounts and bowling alley service attendant, got our food order & didn't have to wait in line. Didn't have to wait for open lanes as it had upstairs lanes. Kids loved the touch screen controller for our roster list. Will come back.

Grabbed a quick bite to eat here. We had the grilled chicken quesadilla, fruit, and chips with salsa/pimento cheese. The pimento cheese had good flavor but was right out of the refrigerator and was difficult to eat with the tortilla chips. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Quesadilla was really good! Prices were very reasonable for resort food. Waitress was not very attentive after taking our order. Overall pleasant experience here.

Friendly staff, good prices, very clean. Great food as well. Huge selection of balls. Lanes in great condition. My only complaint is the parking was horrible. The signs are not clear for self parking and ended up parking about 15 minutes away. They really need to put clear signs for the self park area which is the casinos fault, not the bowling alley

Best food around, waitresses always polite and helpful, would rater eat there then anywhere around, honestly the food is great and reasonably priced, try it out and you will not be disappointed

Delicious Food and Great Options We had a great experience here! We ate at the E Sport Zone - The food was delicious, and the service was solid. The cookie skillet dessert was a standout?absolutely amazing. I loved building my own burger, which turned out fantastic. My wife, who's vegetarian, appreciated the black bean burger and said it was pretty good. The cheese curds were a must-try! Sweet potato fries were soggy, but the tots were perfectly crispy. Overall, a nice variety of options, and we'd definite

Visiting during the weekdays is probably the best deal when going with kiddos. There is something for everyone here. -Also their Cheese Pizza is like incredibly cheesy and tasty. So my son loves it ??

The kids had a blast bowling and playing games, my husband and I sat on the outside patio relaxing for a bit while they got some energy out. It was great! Food could be a little cheaper but it was great!

Fun place! Plenty to do here for adults and kids. Also a good place to eat. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom is immaculate and well stocked. Place is clean throughout. Food is good and prices are moderate. Wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches and more. And you have two floors of bowling ??and game's.

This is a super cool place and lots of fun! Food, drink, adult beverages, big screen tvs with music videos, sports, table service while bowling and video games with HUGE screens. Two floors for bowling too! Great for adults, teens and familys, something for everyone

It was fun bcuz we had a great group to go with! But...the wait was terribly long! An hour and a half! They had a great system to let you know when your lane would be available. They ask for your name, cell number and how many will be bowling with you. And if you have an unexpected addition, they were very accommodating. This is at the casino tho! So be careful when you decide to go. You have to be mindful of how many people are on vacation. That place was jam packed! And so many people had children. It's

The place was really nice. decent specials. getting to it with kids was insane. we had to walk around and wait for access outside. poor design from the parking deck. Also I ordered a drink special and was overcharged. Then I was told she couldnt refund me even though the price is clear as day on the menu bc it was alchohol. My waitress was not attentive. But the other waiter was awesome in the lane next to us, so hit or miss I guess. The actual facility is well maintained and clean though

It's nice but everything has a wait to do and hotel guest didn't get any kind of discount

Love the bowling center part the casino! The sickening cigarette smoke was in the air coming from the casino which was not good though!

Great prices! Service was excellent, awesome drink selection! Attached to the hotel and casino

The bowling center was clean, well maintained and the staff is exceptional. I participated in a PBA tournament here and was impressed with the professionalism and how well the center was run. Will be back to bowl more there.

The arcade is fine, and the bowling is neat. Service and food beyond horrible. Wings dry and tasted horrible. First we wanted to switch sauces and waitress said she already entered it in and would be too hard to run to kitchen. Wings were overcooked and horrible tasting. I asked for 6 wings to be remade and manager looked like I was bothering them. Also ordered the house pretzels. When it's described as baked in house I didn't expect defrosted super pretzels from Walmart. Overall very disappointing and woul

Rude staff! Told no lanes because of a wait list, which we could not get on. Plenty of lanes empty and within 2hrs of closing time. Last, told 930pm last call for food. Turned away at 927pm! My family couldn't get any food. Employees don't want to work. Not happy when I'm spending thousands to stay and play.

We always have a good time here. It's such a big bowling alley and the fact that there's a decent restaurant and bar is a plus.

Love the pizza sauce. Lol wish the marinara was the same

You'll lose it all but it'll be fun

There's a lot to do here including the bowling but there's lots of fun games and 2 levels which you can take an elevator or stairs. They have bowling upstairs and downstairs. The lanes are well maintained and the bowling balls are nice for house balls. It's a very modern nice high tech bowling lanes. There's a lot of fun choices for games to play solo or to compete with someone for good competitive fun.

The food is usually good. I will give them that. They lack in customer service. Half of the place is empty and yet you have to wait to be seated (30-40) minutes. The good is still slow to come out even then. Management lies and does not care about customers. It is apparent they do not give a flying flip if you come to their restaurant or not. They get their paychecks either way and it shows in the way they treat customers.

There's lots to see and do here from games to bowling. The lanes are nice, the prices are great and there's plenty of activities and games to do there for hours of entertainment. There's 2 levels and lanes on both levels. Great place for the family and fun for all of all ages. They have both a staircase and an elevator to go from the upper to the lower level.

Very well maintained bowing areas. Staff was very helpful. Plenty of seating, and house equipment to use Food was great. My only complaint was that there was no one manning the bar at the top level where we had a lane, and the signs to get to bowling from the outside were not very clear. Great time tho

Cool, but only for a short while. Don't buy the $100. It's too much. Lol.

What a nice surprise to find these lanes in the casino! Enjoyed a few games with friends. Bar was open, but no food - likely due to lack of workers. Desk staff very helpful and nice. Didn't have my ball/shoes with me, but their equipment was in great shape. Highly recommend as an alternate entertainment option while visiting. Easy in and out if you aren't already at casino. Well done Harrah's.

This is a nice bowling alley, the front desk was very welcoming. The young woman at the desk asked if I was military; I said yes she thanked me for my service and we had a quick convo about the military! My daughter and I started bowling and wanted to order drinks. We hit the service call button and waiting 10 + minutes; noone showed up. I Had to go to bar, so why have a Service button?! all of the workers near the bar looked exhausted and were not helpful at all.

Super cool place to bowl and the food was fantastic! Brought the kids and they loved it as well. The service was over the top good and our server was bi lingual so she was able to communicate with the hispanic couple that brought us there. Just an all around good experience.

Edit: management is better, and with that, service has drastically improved. This place was fairly new at the time of my original post, so it was just getting on it's legs at the time, but they have taken the first year into account, and have successfully adapted to the type of business they should expect on slow, and high-volume days. I worked here, but I am also not biased. Great place to bowl, and friendly staff, but those wait times for food and drinks are atrocious. Some of the staff irk me though,

These guys have games and food and drinks they are proud of... The hidden gem of the entire facility as a hands down secret is the adult swim, in the elements sky lounge. Brunch and beats, deep Westcoast tribal house vibe ... Margaritas samgreahs. Mimosas Essential music, and dancing

We live close so we come here often. Came by tonight and Zane was the best server! He was super nice and made sure we were well taken care of even though he was serving like half the lanes. Really good guy!

First time there and We had a Fun family night and had 2 lanes, one for the 2 and 3 yr Olds girls..they absolutely loved it and 1 for 6 adults. Food and drinks were great too! Great staff too!

Staff was unattentive waited 15mins or more and no one ever asked what I was drinking. I had to get up walk to the Hostess and ask if I had a waiter. Just to see my waitress was just socializing and walking around. They wasn't busy at all a lot of open seats.

Had my daughter's 7th birthday party here. Pricey but well worth it. The kids and adults had a blast bowling and playing in the arcade area. The staff was very helpful and on top of things making sure we had a great experience. One of the kids said it was the best birthday party he'd ever been to.

Sarah was a terrible waitress who barely spoke to us as she tried to get her tips up by rubbing her nasty body all over the married men at the Lane beside us. She didn't care my wife who is of age but looks to be under 21, but then cut us off after having 3 50 oz beer towers. The men next to us had been drinking all day long, and were downing liquor drinks and also had a beer tower. They were nice guys, but obviously way more intoxicated than we were since we had just started our night. There was a lot of w

This is probably the worst place to eat in the area. Both burgers burnt, side dishes tasted liked they were smoked, marinara sauce was half water and the waitress never came to check on us. Worst experience at this casino.

Great place and the specials are actually really reasonably priced. The reason for my three star review is because the management needs to do some major work. The service is very bad and slow, there are a lot of workers standing around looking lost. We were there twice on two very light days (not much business). It took a good 30 minutes to get a corona.. finally we just gave up, paid our tab with cash and left. Please work on training your employees and the place will be great.

Small entertainment area in Harrah Cherokee.

I loved it. The staff were so nice. This is a very popular place in Cherokee, NC and if you have never went there, I suggest you do. It's full of family fun whether you are wanting to go bowling or hangout in the game room or just have lots of fun and do both.

We stopped in for some food and were pleasantly surprised. The beer was ICEEE cold and so refreshing. The food was beyond good and honestly mindblowing for bar food. Huge portions. Only had to wait 15 minutes. So cool to see a PC gaming area set up. It seemed like everyone was having a great time. The staff was exceptional. I got the quesadillas with sweet potato fries. My fiance got the club sandwich. Father in law got the philly cheesesteak. All of it was phenomenal. Would absolutely eat here again. And i

We had an amazing waitress named Summer. She kept checking on us and was so sweet. The food was fantastic and fast.

It was a nice little bowling area and they were able to assist my disabled mother in law. We had the cheese curds, chips n salsa, and a few beers. Prices weren't that bad either.

This is my first 1 star rating ever. I kinda feel bad about doing it but I only give truthful reviews. Over half of the games we're out of order. We had actually went there to go bowling and they told us it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait for a lane, which was pretty tough to handle. Then we got the lane lane and bowled 1 game and it said we were finished. I went to the counter and they said if they have a waiting list that that was all you could bowl. The couple on either side of us were almost done with their

Took our family of 5 for bowling - cleanest bowling alley we have ever been to! It was on a Thursday when they have all-day bowling for $9/person. Kids did the all-day arcade as well (addl fee) but everything was close so they could easily switch between bowling and the arcade. Food is available to order which is brought to your lane. The BBQ Brisket Grilled Cheese was excellent. Soft drinks had free refills. All staff were very courteous and helpful.

Comfortable lane setup including couches and waiter/waitress service to all the lanes. The food was serviceable bar/pub usuals. The actual lane gave me issues as it recorded several of my shots as fouls when I did not cross the foul line. Not a problem for causal bowlers though.

The drinks were awful, but a cheap place to bowl! I think it was $10 a game and $3 shoe.

Staff was 100% friendly and attentive. They checked on us often to see if we needed anything. The equipment is clean. The atmosphere is classy, not a dive. The cocktails are amazing!

Where can a family of six go for a good time in the rain? The multi center! We did it for $67 including bowling, video games, and even a pizza and drinks! (Water) a great value in my book! Boy, did we have fun!

We came here for my birthday this past weekend. You all were dead as a doornail around 5:30 on Saturday. We went upstairs to play pool and get a drink because we don't have children. I stood at the bar for 7 minutes before I could get the attention of the bartender. We had never been here, and asked how to play pool. She said we needed to go downstairs to get the stuff. We went downstairs and there was no one there to help us. Still confused on the fact I had to go downstairs to get pool sticks and pool bal

Fun but service was horrible!!! Waitress was in a super bad mood! Never smiled got orders wrong and shrugged when told about it. Wasn't just us either, 3 other groups heard us talking to the manager and they came over and told us she was that way with them too.

This is my fav entertainment with visiting family. Six of us bowled 4 games and had gin and tonics. We laughed. We got silly. We had fun. The center is beautiful. The service is quick and friendly. Especially best on a cold or rainy day.

This is the place to be in Cherokee! Especially if you have children. The staff is exceedingly friendly, the place is always clean, and they always have something special going on. Their menu is exactly what you would expect in terms of items, but when it comes out you almost swear you're at a 5 star restaurant! The arcade and bowling keeps even the adults entertained and the excitement of the children can be heard and seen on their faces. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful, comfo

We took our (now) 6 year old here for his birthday party. Approximately 12 of us showed up at the restaurant beside the arcade for a bite to eat, followed by cake, before playing games. It. Was. AWESOME!!! Everyone had a BLAST, adults included. We HIGHLY recommend!!!

This place was recommended to us by a family member. The staff was super friendly as we didn't know how to go about to sit for food and they were all really helpful. The food was delicious and bowling was fun for 4 of us including a 3 year old.

1 star on 01/07/2019 Poor service. Orderd a Wedge salad that is supposed to have blue cheese crumbles, no blue cheese but it had parmesan cheese. Salad and steak arrived at the same time about 15 minutes after everyone else in the party received their meals. Only about 4 tables of people and about 10 employees walking around. They were not busy. Never did receive my drink order. Bill came with Wedge salad plus charge for extra parmesan. Kids did have fun playing the arcade. Very disappointed. Manager did

We ordered our drinks. The waitress came back because the bar was out of blue moon. So I ordered another drink the bar was out of Sierra Nevada. So I got a Coors light. This took about 45 mins to just get my drink. We still haven't been asked our order and had to wait another 45min for our food

We went bowling here at night and it was pretty nicely set up. The bowling itself was all right but the workers there were very rude. We ordered food and they had accidentally put cheese on my wife's order and our hostess sent it back to the kitchen. They simply brushed most of he cheese off and covered it with some more sauce. My wife realized it when she found more cheese when they brought it back. The management didn't help much either when I asked if they could clean something off of the lane. I told th

The bowling lanes are great for passing time and having fun but I did notice 2 things about them. Firstly, The shoes are nowhere true to size nor do they fit well. They're entirely velcro and never fit correctly. I normally wear a size 11 in men's but had to wear a size 9 and they were still too big/loose. Secondly, the lanes are not wooden like traditional lanes which changes how the ball reacts when trying to hook. Nonetheless there were plenty of fun games to choose from when playing aside from tradition

During the time of covid they have half the machines down. Also they clean the lanes between people which is nice but at the same time it takes forever! So we paid for unlimited and only got to play for 3 hours because they needed to clean the lanes up but they didn't because it was 745 and they close at 10?

Nice ally! Prices high

I just so happened to go to the casino on a Wednesday and apparently bowling is super cheap ?????? very clean upscale bowling alley. They also have an arcade for the little kiddo's.

Super cool. Super vibrant. All the games are in working condition. They need to add more games and make it a real arcade. You valet park and cash have easy access but if you self park then it's 15 min walk through casino to get to the arcade.

This place only gets three stars because my daughter and her cousin had so much fun bowling. The food was terrible! Came out at room temperature and poor quality. Food was expensive for quality. The bowling alley staff where the lanes were located were helpful and friendly. Would not recommend eating here and will not go back.

The restaurant was better at its old location they had a good menu with good prices and good food since they moved it not so good over priced casino food with under average quality food the fries and tots were horrible the sandwiches not much better 80.00 for 3 adults and 2 kids for 2 burgers a sandwich and 2 kids meals

Then entire casino is understaffed, so depressing to see this once wonderful place in such decline. Service is of course terrible and the people that are here bark at you for not wearing the useless mask. NO LONGER THE GREAT CASINO IG USE TO BE!

The WORST food I've ever had for how expensive it was. I started by having the hostest not seat me. She had her back to me for at least a solid 2 minutes before the girl behind her that was distracted her let her know she had someone waiting. Then I got seated. I had the Philly cheesesteak. It was EXTREMELY salty. They need to take the salt shaker away from the chef. My brother said his burger was salty and so were my fries. I like salt on my fries, but it was like the cap fell off the shaker and he said "o

The workers reserved us when we weren't here then told us our lane was ready when they said it would take 30 min and they weren't supposed to put us on a waitlist when we weren't at the casino. Then when we got there the lane wasn't working and we waited for 30 minutes. But overall eh. Decent I guess.

We have been bowling here for some time. It was great before the pandemic. Now, however, their mask policy has driven us away. You must have your mask over mouth and nose, even while in the act of throwing the ball, even when no one else is closer than 20 feet! Have they ever tried that? They keep the heat up and it is humid. I have glasses that fog up with a mask under any exertion. Try bowling when you can't see! Today, the manager approached my husband mid-swing to remind him to pull up his mask! Not

The security are very rude. And the security guard that used to be a game warden for The North Carolina Department of Resources was threatening asked where I was from and I told him S.C so then he said he had hunting land in S.C the Seneca area and told me the location of it and then had the nerve to say I better not catch you there. Some people's heads are so big they are stupid.

Nice new lanes and center. Food is great, but when we go to the employees with a safety concern and it is brushed off with "some people want to slide, but you don't see the pros sliding" it does not make me very happy. They did not even bother to go look at the spot on the floor.

So much fun! Had a 15 min wait, which was not bad at all. Great time with the kiddos! Definitely will go again.

Great service and food!! A fun place to play but a great place to order room service dining if staying at Harrah?s Cherokee. The wings and mozzarella sticks are cheap, delicious eats!

Had fun bowling but we stood in line for a very long time. They definitely needed some help. But it was fun to bring back childhood memories as adults.

A fun place to go to with friends or family. Sadly, wasn't able to play any rounds in bowling, since company was more interested in the casino part, but it looked nice and somewhat a decent size. A good selection of games, as well, in the arcade to play from though nothing that's eye popping due to it not being that large in general. But, one should be mindful to remember that it is part of the casino and not a place dedicated to just bowling and arcade. The prize center in the arcade was organized and look

Masks are back and enforced with pure brutality. Wasted $90 trying to have fun with my kids. The service was terrible but worse was the constant eye of the employees telling everyone to keep the mask on even while trying to eat. They pushed the food right away while bowling which really should have been removed instead. After one hour they turned off the bowling and refused to give a refund. They refused to review the video to prove any wrong doing. The lady who did this had her mask below her noise half th

Very busy and waited for the bartender to acknowledge us. When she finally did it was to tell us that she was closed. It seems the supervisors and higher need classes on organization and scheduling. Very poorly ran. Makes the casino look bad.

This will be the last party I plan at the bowling alley. I came in April for a party and had a understanding about the reservation, and then today. And everytime I've come I've ran into a problem. Kids were plan on playing in the Fortnite tournament and we paid and turned in our sheet at 605p and they're not having it cause only 1 kid was signed b4 6p. Well why didn't they call for the tournament over the loud speaker to remind people to come sign up.? So now they not having it. But are allowing my 6 kids t

Should be able to use the arcade machines after 10pm. Closing the ticket booth is fair but I should be able to play jurrasic park when I put $100 on my arcade card and now have no use for it. Absolute BS

After a short wait, we had good food, good service, and a nice waitress. Thanks Marissa!

Food was good, but the service was not good. Our order was wrong and we had to ask for our bill three times before our server finally brought it, and they weren't busy at all. The couple next to us ask to speak with a manager about a similar problem.

I was 6 minutes late to the text of confirmation that our lane was ready and the gentleman at the front said if you are 5 minutes late we give it away. We waited an hour for a text and my husband was so mad he left. Then their system kept texting us to tell us our lane was ready continuously for 2 hours i had to text stop back to get it to stop.

Went to eat here on Saturday food was good except burger was burnt...Giving it another try on Sunday. Stand waiting to be seated for several minutes, before I finally ask one of the 6 employess (wondering around) if they were even open..I was told they would have to call for someone to seat us...A waitresses and manager approach us to informe us it was a 30 minute wait...I asked seriously, the place was almost empty....3 booths and one table occupied....We were told because of the covid restrictions. I

Awesome place to have fun

Was going to bring our son's up today for their birthdays, directions to the center were horrible, had no clue where to park (no directions and we were NOT paying for a valet to park my car) attempted to call, phone system hung up on us. Left the center in Cherokee and went to a different one. What a waste of time and gas! Very frustrating ??

Best arcade prizes! Better value for your dollar than most.

We took our daughter there for her 21st birthday. We had a great time we were able to take the younger kids as well. Would recommend it. will do it again.

Clean very comfortable good food and beer options!!!

UltraStar is an exceptional place for both adult and family friendly fun. There's a large variety of things to do, anything from bowling and playing in the arcade to grabbing a drink at the bar or relaxing on their fireside patio. This place also has a large variety of casual cuisine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
