Great place! We've been here a few times and it's always fun! Get your credit card ready tho because it can get a bit pricey $115 for 2 lanes for an hour (7 of us) and another $85 for appetizers and water. ?? Still, a good family fun activity for all. ?? I highly recommend this place! ?? ?? ?? ??

Bowling by the hour (or pick your time). Balls available (multiple weights). How good of a bowler are you? Are you using bumpers? Beer wall..... Wine ???? Local beers and domestic. Food is alright. I recommend the parmesan garlic fries.

We had such a great time at here! The facility is new, super clean, and perfect for families. Our 3- and 4-year-olds had a lot of fun. The food and drinks were a bonus, with a great selection of beer, cocktails, and tasty bites. Highly recommend for a fun family outing or night out!

Twisted Pin gave me the most amazing 40th Birthday Party! My face was on the screens wishing me a happy birthday which is amazing. I had a VIP Suite, and I can't tell you how amazing that was with my host Jarrett!! He was the best in the world. Everything flowed so well because of him! If you are thinking of throwing a bowling party please select Twisted Pin! Ask for Jarrett as your your host??????

Love the atmosphere and food quality. Excellent service and make sure to come out to Free N Fun bar bingo on Sundays at 7pm

I was impressed with the Twisted Pin. This was my first visit. We were celebrating my niece's birthday. The staff was very professional and pleasant. We actually purchased another hour of bowling. Everything was very clean and well kept. The staff was very alert and attentive. I highly recommend The Twisted Pin to have a great time bowling.

We'd been here before to bowl and decided to have our son's birthday party here. Nick was great with the kids and made sure the party went perfectly. The kids enjoyed the bowling and arcade, and the pizza and cake were perfect. Everyone had a really great time! Highly recommend having a party here!

I hosted my son's 12th birthday party at this venue over the weekend, and it was an absolute blast! While it was our first visit, it certainly won't be our last. Everything exceeded my expectations - from the bowling lanes to the delicious food and exciting arcade games, my son and his friends had an incredible time. Special recognition goes to Jared, our party coordinator, who provided exceptional service. He ensured I didn't have to lift a finger throughout the entire event, attentively checking on me, th

I hosted my husband's 30th birthday party at Twisted Pin and it was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the VIP suite was a perfect set-up for an event, and the food was great. I will definitely keep this venue in mind for a future event!

It's not the biggest bowling alley around but one of the coolest. There's the "regular" bowling area...then there's the VIP section. There's a nice bar, & a trendy section where u tab a credit card, they give u a black card, & u use it to refill your own beers or wine throughout the evening as they charge by the liquid ounce poured. About 15 to 20 selections to choose. I recommend this bar.

Great bowling alley so clean and smells so good!!! The food there is amazing big selection and the staff is absolutely awesome. Best bowling alley I have ever been to. The only negative part of this bowling alley is the price of alcohol is way too expensive!!!!!

5 Stars; 3 Words - Will. Return. Again. Twisted Pin hosted our company holiday party for Michelin over the weekend. Not only was the Event Coordinator, Shanna, super helpful during the time leading up to the event - but all the staff at Twisted Pin was incredible. The establishment is super comfortable for large group parties with great organization. The self-serve tap wall was such a hit! Cannot rave enough about how much the team enjoyed their time here. Their attention to detail was such a refreshing sur

This is a great place to bring your family and friends to bowl and have fun. My family and I have been coming here long before the name change. The lanes are well taken care for real bowlers. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great.

ATTENTION PARENTS* Apparently you can't stand next to this cup holder. I was helping my 2 year old son play this game, standing here. And this worker, younger female, screams at me from across the arcade, 100 feet away "No standing next to the machines!" 1. There's a CUP HOLDER on the wall. Hmmm typically people stand next to a cup holder. Also, you can clearly see I'm helping my son with the game. Nowhere does it say do not stand or anything. And if you wanna show off your "authority" come say it to my f

We rented a lane in the VIP area for a family day celebration. I initially was irritated about another family on the plane next to us that allowed their children to run around. The joy of a VIP area is less "ruckus" or so I thought. Thankfully they left shortly after we arrived. Our continued experience was superb. It was private, a bit more relaxed and I really enjoyed the varied menu of food and the self-serve tap area. I was able to try different beers and you are charged by the oz, which is a great way

Great place for your company party! Employees talked about our party for days! Great food. Kind, professional employees. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Five stars!

We went within the first hour or two of opening hours. It was enough room to get around and my 2 year old daughter loved the music selection. She was dancing and jumping almost the entire time there. I really like the revamp of the facility. My family and I will be back.

Had a great time with some good friends, I like the place.

I brought my son and a few friends for an evening of bowling and arcade games. We got a lane right away on a Friday night (arrived 5:30ish) and ordered food right away. I was surprised at how quickly the pizzas and other food were ready! Everything tasted great and the boys had fun with their bowling games. Setting up their names and picking a game was easy and quick. After bowling we headed to the arcade area and they had a blast playing different games and spending their points at the little store. When t

My family & I were visiting for the weekend, and we decided to try this bowling alley for food & fun. We bowled first with my kids, and there is a time limit to finish your game. We never got to finish our game because people had to use the bathroom, the balls got stuck down the lane, etc. It was kinda annoying that we paid for a game that we didn't get a chance to finish. The website looked like they had an amazing bar, and I was pretty disappointed when I asked the bartender if she could make a bahaha mam

My family and I had such an amazing time here. We loved the bar area and food, the arcade area, but unfortunately it was really busy and we weren't able to bowl. Will definitely come back here!

The place is kind of small, parking is huge! The arcade area is small, arcade games are just like anywhere else. Did not eat there other than drinks. The server was nice.

Great food and drinks, drinks are overly expensive. The alley needs to have some drink and food specials to be a really great place. Unfortunately every time I come during the week or weekend no specials. 15$ per drink!

I had an awesome time at Twisted Pins and I would definitely go again. The staff and I mean the entire staff is a wonderful group of people. The business is clean and smells good. I had fun and I can't wait to return.

Such a great update to this bowling alley. Everything is updated, modernized and very organized. Took the family and had an absolute blast! Highly recommend for a family night out.

We had our sons 6th birthday party at Twisted Pin this past weekend. We had a great time! John, Janel (spelling) were fantastic! So was the rest of the staff. The food was great, too! We did the stars and strikes package with pizza, chicken tenders, fries, salad and fried donuts. Adults and Kids had a fantastic time. The set up in the VIP area, plus putting the picture on the screen made it all very personalized. Then after bowling, drinks, and food we headed to the arcade for another hour of fun and memori

The older manager that works there has an attitude with customers.. He seems fine controlling the kids that work with him but adult customers is another story... He needs to learn respect with customers when problems arise. He acts like a big shot.

Twisted pin was a very nice place! The bowling was nice, the only thing we disliked is that the pins are rope driven, so not as much wriggle in them when bowling- strikes were harder to come by then usual. The game room was nice, the games were a bit over priced but the same compared to other businesses set up similarly. The bartenders were super awesome and friendly and gave great recommendations for food and drinks! Very clean place, we will likely be back!

Update November 2023 It's definitely not the local bowling alley anymore. The name change says it all. Used to be ?Plainfield Lanes? and now it's ?Twisted Pin?. Much more commercialized and similar to the bigger bowling chains now. $40 an hour per lane in which up to six people looking bowl. $5 per pair of shoes. $55 an hour for VIP lanes (if the regular lanes are unavailable then that will be your only choice) otherwise they usually use VIP lanes for birthday parties and other events. I miss the old Pla

Honestly ever since they remodeled their customer service has been terrible. You would think that they would want to still keep their long time customers. The girl at the counter was so disrespectful to my friend who was pregnant. She had a cup of water told her no outdoor drinks. She said can you poor it out and put your water in it she said no you can pay for a water bottle. Then had the nerve to say you can take it out to your car before I ring you up. If you are a real bowler this is not the same mom an

We took our twins bowling for the first time and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They really engaged well with our kids and answered all of their questions. We also loved the garlic fries there.

Honestly, I love the atmosphere and great music! However, the pins are on strings! Which completely hinders the game. I haven't seen so many times my pin sliding and not fall down. The lanes weren't oiled well which hinders the control of the ball.

Overly priced. We have to serve ourself our own beer and not only that I have to pay 18% gratuity every time I serve MYSELF??!!!??? What a scam.

the online booking system was not working on Thursday and after 20 min took my reservation over the phone. we came sat at 930 for our 10:00 reservation. the young manager stated that they didn't have it even though was supposedly written down and they were booked. he was rude and said they were booked oh well. he could have cared less. gave me a business card and said if you aren't happy you can email. Terrible customer service. will not spend a penny at this business

Bowling was great fun . But for me being a fan of beer , the wall of taps was quite impressive. Large selection of different beers and you pay by the oz. With a card you get from the bartender.

This place is amazing for birthday parties. They have literally thought of everything. My husband and I actually got to enjoy the company of our guests because our host was amazing and took care of all the little details for us.

Recently held my son?s birthday party in the VIP section and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Food and drinks were great! Shanna, the event Coordinator, was excellent. Quick to respond, kind, and very knowledgeable. Jarrett, our event host, was a true gem. He was on top of everything and also very kind. Highly recommend this venue.

Celebrated my husband's bday at Twisted Pin in Plainfield. We had a blast! Food was yummy, staff were friendly and very helpful. We rented 2 lanes in the semi-VIP area and Jarod (spelling) was our host. He was EXCELLENT! He was attentive and made sure our party was well looked after. I worked with Shanna (event planner) to book the event. She was great! My husband and our family were very impressed with the venue. We will be coming back! Thank you to all!

Do not go here to practice they only have the alleys lit up for leagues. The alleys are not lit unless they have leagues so if you're a spot bowler your out of luck, and if you bowl by looking at the pins they change colors every 10 seconds which is distracting. I won't return here and I will let my other league bowlers to go elsewhere.

I chose Twisted Pin to host our after the holidays Christmas Party. I had never been to the facility before. I initially reached out through their website and received excellent customer service from Shanna Dow (Event Coordinator). Not knowing anything about Twisted Pin, Shanna explained everything they had to offer and helped me plan the evening. We were all excited to get out of work on January 10th and celebrate Christmas and our company success in 2024. As we all entered the building we were welcomed by

Great staff! Reasonably priced. Good family fun.

I love coming here good atmosphere good food and the only thing it can improve is better music like house music or roller skating music other than that nice place to have fun

The young man at the front desk was the most polite and knowledgeable person. He is a great asset to your company.

Great place! Just extremely expensive. For bowling anyway. They charge plenty for the food and drink. So why is bowling so much? We tried it once. But probably won't go back.

The music is NOT family friendly, Offers what most bowling does, Game room (mimicking Dave &Busters) concessions, bar attached, 25 lanes @ $30 per person per hour, escape room @ $30 per person per hour. It has staff??-not friendly or welcoming

We hadn't been to Plainfield Lanes in a few years. They've made a lot of updates including big screens that might be a nice place to bowl and watch a game. They are close to finishing an update of the bar area to make it more of an option to just go hang out. Nice place. The bowling itself always seems too expensive at $50+ for 1 hr and shoes for 4 of us.

Had a great time bowling. Love the atmosphere. Good food, drinks and all the entertainment options

Fun overall. You should be allowed to pause your bowling time if you're also spending time ordering food, drinks, etc

Very impressed with new renovations and free game for my birthday . Bartender friendly. I did struggle to find a 10lb ball to fit my fingers needextra small. Will be back for sure

Had my daughter's birthday party at this location. I have to say that It was so much fun! We Were Treated amazing by the staff and especially by Jarrett. The food and drinks were great. Thank you Shanna, General manager, Jarrett.

Awesome place to have a party!!! My kids loved it also all of the adults including me. Loved having nothing to worry about in regards of entertaining the kids. Emily was the best party host we could have asked for. She was so attentive in every detail and on some things we didn't even think of. Hands down the best place to have your kids party!!!!! Definitely recommend.

This is a very nice, low key venue. The bowling alley, bar, arcade, and seating areas are all clean, modern, and well kept. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports other programs. The staff was very friendly and thorough. I had the loaded fries and the BBQ chicken flatbread. Both were delicious and easy to order and pay for from your phone via QR code. They even have a self serve beer tap with twenty or so beers on tap. Prices were fair. My only complaint is the bar.... not with the staff or the servic

The facility was very nice and staff so helpful. We had some drinks and appetizers, all were wonderful!!

Twisted Pin is very clean and very organized with ease of check-in and setting things up. Very nice place. The restaurant area and beer and VIP section is also very nice. Everything is kept awesome. Food is great. Services is great. We enjoyed our time there we will be back! Prices are fair. The only thing that I would hope for is an extended 10 minutes instead of an hour make it 70 minutes cause it just feels a tad rushed when you have kids. 5 stars!

The last time I was at this place was before they made the renovations. I love the changes they made. That beer wall is pretty cool, but I ordered something instead from their drink menu?. Best Old Fashion drinks I've had in a long time, made by the manager, Joe? really cool guy. Me and friends will be back again for some bowling and Karaoke fun!

Most racist place I have ever been to. Please don't waste your time. They ruined my little sister birthday.

Lovely fun place. Very interesting wall of beer. Highly recommend

Dropped someone off here once, did not go in, just looked inside and saw how nice it was, decided to check it out one day and wow it was nice and clean on top of all that. And I will tell you it's not that expensive , for a family of 5 to bowl for two hours , shoes included for $94 plus tax ?.$104.00 is not bad at all, the atmosphere is very nice on uncrowded days. I don't bowl often , maybe once twice a year?I would definitely go here

Love this place. Definitely for casual bowlers and have fun games like horse and my favorite e-z bowling which is 5 frames with one bowl each. Good food and nice facilities. They also have a rewards program when you text that gets you a lot of free or discounted bowling. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area that's just looking for a fun casual bowling night.

Twisted Pin is the perfect place to host a birthday party! Our party host, Greg was fantastic. He was attentive from the start and made us feel right at home! He answered all our questions, entertained the girls the entire time, and kept the flow of the party going strong! As busy parents it was the perfect place to have the party because everything was included and we just ?showed up?! Lots of fun and not a lot of effort needed to have a great and memorable birthday!

Went here for the first time to get dinner and bowl. Nobody greets you when you walk in and there are no signs to tell you that you seat yourself and scan a QR code at the table to order food. Everything is priced as if you are in downtown chicago $15+ for every item and $3 for a pepsi with no refills. And then they have the audacity to automatically put on 18% tip when you pay. Tip for what?? There are no servers and you have to get your own napkins, plastic silverware and condiments. Bowling was fun, cost

Wonderful facility. Staff was very friendly & welcoming as we had not bowled in long time. We had an awesome time. Very family friendly

I had my son's 8th birthday here, and it was a really great experience. Jarrett was our host and I can't say enough good things about him. He's fantastic. He was really great with the kids and made our experience stress-free. He really went above and beyond for us and I was so grateful for him.

Great vibe, nice crowd, beer wall is cool, food was good, service was quick. I had a great time with my friends.

Nice place. Only have a couple issues. One we paid for an hour of bowling. Time started before we even started Bowling or found balls or put on our shoes. Lost almost 10min of our time of bowling. The other complaint I have was the lane were extra oily. There was almost no ball action at all and ball was like a greased BB.

The food is good and they have good prices. Machines needs to be adjusted, take too much time.

We love the Twisted Pin! It's our go-to spot for family fun. The staff is friendly, the lanes are well-maintained, and the food and drinks are great. They also have fun events and specials. Highly recommend for a fantastic bowling experience with loved ones! They event have VIP sections, which are perfect for children.

The renovations look amazing ??. Kids has a ball, literally, we had so much fun we'll definitely be back... ???? ??

Great place to play some rounds of bowling and the arcade is awesome. However I definitely got sick from the pizza.

I would give 0 if Google would let me. Came here for my daughter?s 15th bday. Ordered 70$ worth of food. They brought out someone else?s order then told us they would fix it.. we waited about 25 mins then some ashy blonde haired woman came out to tell us she wouldn't be giving us our order at all despite someone else saying they were going to do it wasn't untill we told her how much $ we spent on food and how much we really ordered compared to the order they brought out that they said they would. Guess that

Went there on Friday night for a date night love the idea of being able to pour your own beer in charge by the ounce, but honestly wish they gave you a sampler because a lot of them were IPAs and very bitter but the prices for bowling maybe I'm out of touch, but it seems a little out of control. Ended up going later in the evening when they have the better deal. And I think whoever was in charge of playing the music that night must been going through a bad break up because a lot of scream rock music. But ov

Since their recent revamp it cost a fortune to bowl here. It's over $350 to schedule for two lanes. Bowling is not worth that much. Old School bowling alleys still charge $8 a game. Nobody I know can justify $175 for one lane for two hours. I used to enjoy this place, now it's unreasonably expensive. Their website is shady too. First it says it's $50 an hour. Then you click on it and it goes up to $75. Then add it to the cart and it's $150. What are you guys doing?

Friendly staff and a great family atmosphere. They have plenty of arcade games and I'm feeling the escape room. All in all I found the place okay and I would definitely recommend Plainfield Lanes if you're looking for quite family night of bowling.

I've been here twice and the experience is always great! Can't wait to go again!

I had the pleasure of hosting my kid's birthday party at the Twisted Pin Bowling Alley and I couldn't have asked for a better experience, all thanks to Jarrett, our outstanding party host. From start to finish, Jarrett went above and beyond to ensure that our celebration was nothing short of spectacular. Upon arriving at the VIP Suite, Jarrett greeted us warmly and immediately got to work assisting with the setup. His keen eye for detail and creativity shone through as he offered invaluable suggestions on

We had a great time at the bank heist escape room! The staff was friendly and explained everything so well. Thos was a really fun experience.

THE BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY! My 9 year old son had his party here and it was better than I could have imagined! We had Jared at our party coordinator (he is the best!!!!!!!) and he took care of everything the entire time. Could not have had a better experience here. Thanks, Twisted Pin for a great birthday party!

I absolutely love this bowling alley! Just wished they still charged by the game and not by hour. Love the upgrades and vibesss

Great alley. Highly recommend

Lots of fun for the work group party we had. I like the wall of beers. Something to keep everyone entertained.

A great place to have your children's birthday party! Great food and a very delicious birthday cake!

Great place, super helpful employees, clean, they are updating, shoes are all clean/ new, bathrooms clean/ new.... family had a great time. Bar drinks were a bit pricey but overall we would give it 5 stars plus a bonus for all of the great updates going on. We will be back for sure. Kudos to the guy at the counter making it easy and enjoyable to get us going quickly.

Lots of fun. My kids love this place as it's very kid friendly. We celebrated New Year?s Eve 2023 here and it was fun evening with kids. Haven't tried the food or drinks ?? yet. We continue coming back and support our local businesses.

Clean and fun bowling alley with game arcade but it can get very crowded for open bowling. Seating is not ideal! They took away the bench seating for tables scattered all over the place. People have to walk in front of you and behind you to get balls, food, drinks, etc. It was chaos at times. Food however was excellent!

It was our first time their we had a blast.

This place is super modern, awesome food!, and the staff was super friendly. The technology there is awesome and the screen for watching entertainment above the bowling alley is phenomenal. Again the staff was very courteous extremely helpful and very generous with their attention and time. Also don't forget to go on their website for the $10 off coupon

Twisted Pin hosted our holiday party for Kuusakoski Recycling. So impressed by how immaculate the entire place was, including the bathrooms! Super nice people too! We loved that we had our own private area too. Great place!!

Horrible bartenders!!!! Especially the male with twists in his hair so rude. Didn't have no customer service.Had a party of 10+ and they couldn't even bring out plates with the food

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
