Turf's Up OBX

We made a reservation in advance and stopped by Turf?s Up on a Saturday around noon before we could check into our beach house. It turned out to be the perfect way to kick off our vacation! We stopped in while on vacation for an indoor activity on a cold day, and Turf?s Up OBX did not disappoint! Tim was extremely helpful and took his time explaining everything to us. Our family (including three kids) had a great time playing the different simulation games. The facilities were clean and well kept. Highly recommend!

Let's start with if I'm paying by the hour, how about your staff not be interrupting a party of six for the entire 3 hours. It's was OK at first but when she sat down with the group and kept players from actually golfing it became annoying to say it mildly. 3 hours and a group of six couldn't even get 9 holes in is ridiculous. We booked the facility for a company gathering and everyone loved it! Great selection of games - something for everyone in your group. Nice selection of beverages, too. I'll be returning with my family.

Soooo much fun! My kids love it but it's great for ALL ages no matter what the sport too. We always go every trip down to OBX. Perfect for rainy days too. Plus every employee is always soooo nice.

Rented the place out for the men's outing of our family reunion. Tim took amazing care of us and we all had an amazing time. We'll return every time we come to OBX.

Rented the whole space for our work party and could not be happier! Reasonably priced and fun for all ages. I cannot say enough good things about the Owner and amazing employee! Kind, accommodating, and professional. Will definitely be back, and recommending to everyone! Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful venue! Had a church gathering there and Tim and his wife were so accommodating! We had a blast and will definitely be back!

The women?s clinic was very helpful. The space is very nice, open and even has a bar. This will be my go to place when the weather is bad. Everyone was so nice.

We had a great time with 24 folks and plenty of room to spread out. We had the space rented for 2 hours with plenty to do. The games were a blast, I think we liked the baseball and golf the best. Suzie was fun and got us excited and helped us set up all of the booths. It was great chatting with the new owner Tim to see what is ahead for Turf's Up!

TurfsUp is a great facility! All the bays are perfect and it's a fun welcoming atmosphere! I will definitely go back.

We had so much fun at Turf?s Up! This was our second time here and it was just as good as the first! Karen was working and she was fantastic! She was so sweet and accommodating. Her interaction with all the guests was superb! If you are looking for something fun to do with the family, especially on a rainy day, this is the place to go!

Great facility! Cool vibe and top-notch equipment. Staff (Susie) couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We had a 2nd grade bday party here and it was awesome.

We had a great time. It wasn't super packed and Susie was great. We will def. Be back next year.

Karen was amazing. We got their last slot at 7:30pm and she told us she would stay open as long as we needed her too. She checked on us multiple times. She made our experience there amazing.

My kids had the best time and they had beer for the adults. The owners run a great shop and they were great with the kids.

Booked 2 hours with a group of 3, and Turfs Up was so much more fun than we imagined! I'd definitely recommend booking at least 2 hours to get a chance to play all the games. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and this place is a great time for people of all ages.

Perfect break from the heat for our group of teen boys! They totally loved the games and we loved the customer service!

Awesome place and really a lot of fun. Everything was realistic and you can get a great workout. Staff was very helpful and would love to go back when we are back in town.

This was the perfect place to spend a rainy evening on the island. The staff was helpful with setting up the games and making sure the kids had the right sized equipment. So fun for kids and adults!

Super fun!!!! My kids (ages 6, 11 and 14) all loved it. Crazy fun for the grown ups too....they have amazing beers on tap. The owner is amazing and made sure we had a memorable experience. Will be back and I 100% recommend to anyone visiting OBX

2022 One year update: Spent a rainy afternoon here again this year and still a lot of fun. Was super busy and only had one person working but she did her best to accommodate our group while checking everyone in. 2021: Great place to spend a couple of hours for the sports lover, our teens had a blast. Nice selection of sports to choose from and super friendly staff. Highly recommend!

We LOVED Turf?s Up OBX!!! With the weather not being the greatest during our stay, we were looking for some fun indoor things to do. We booked a bay for 2 hours which was perfect for our small family. My 7 year old said that has been his favorite part of OBX so far this trip and asked if we can go back each time we visit!

I want to acknowledge our experience with Mrs. Karen on 2/17/2023. Mrs. Karen was successful in quickly and easily connecting with us and our needs. She easily flowed in our conversation beyond the necessary business approach. She made sure my 7 and 10 year old understood how use the simulators while being patient, unrushed and attentive. We had the best time playing zombies, soccer and basketball for 30 minutes before dinner and gymnastics. Thank you and we will be back very soon!

Awesome place we had a great time!! There service was awesome everyone was very helpful and cheerful, No one acted like they hated there job. They were very helpful at showing us how things operated. Would highly suggest going here great adult atmosphere, children would have a good time as well.

Went to obx on vacation and visited this little place being we didn't have one back home. Very cool bar environment, awesome lady(assuming owner) who 100% made sure you knew what was happening before you started, all clubs, balls , bats needed. Kids had a blast and would stop back when in the obx

My family loves coming to Turfs Up when we are in town. It's a perfect outing to catch a break from the heat or on a rainy day. The staff are incredibly helpful and the facility is great. My son loves it so much we own multiple Turfs Up t-shirts. Highly recommend for a fun time.

We have come here over the years and it is one of our favorite spots. Do you have energetic kids? This is the place to get some of that energy out -- virtual baseball, basketball, football, and everything else you could imagine. The staff is always super nice, as well. Well worth the $.

A bit difficult for my 6 year old because he wasn't strong enough to get it to pick up what he was doing. A few things are a bit glitchy, but all in all it was a great time! Something we'd do differently next time. Not bring the 6 year old. He LOVED IT for the record but it was so hard to get him to be able to engage fairly.

Good guy behind the counter, but he never explained to me about the price per hour. Very expensive because you pay for the bay or stall. The cost is $75 Per hr. For up to 4 persons. So if you show by yourself, the cost is $75 an hour for just yourself?? that is insane I paid $75 for one hour for just me and my girlfriend and again like I said before the guy behind the counter never said anything about the cost and I probably should?ve asked but I thought it would never be that much.

Fun place, we definitely enjoyed the time. Most bays were full.of decent equipment and it was clean and organized. Computer on the simulator is difficult to use and spends 50% of your time on replays and resetting up games. Would be nice if you could just play the games without constantly resetting the game. Felt like we paid for an hour and ayed for 30 minutes.

Son and I had a great time. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Def recommend on a rainy OBX day.

This is a very nice place. Was able to hit golf balls in a range setting or play a virtual round on one of many courses. Also able to have an adult beverage while enjoying the fun. It's not just for golf either you are able to virtually play other sports as well. Definitely would do it again if I am in the Outer Banks!

Wonderful time. The host was so kind. Gave us suggestions for snacks to bring in while we played. Kids had 2 hours of entertainment. A must check out.

I have tried three times to use the Groupon I purchased for Turfs Up and have still not been able to use it. The first time I called the day I wanted to use it. I was informed that I needed to call 24 hours in advance. I paid to go without using my Groupon and was literally the ONLY person in the place. They could have easily honored the Groupon but chose not to. While we were there the attendant told us that they would give the oldest person in our group a sample time of their new virtual reality game

Outstanding! My party of 5 adults enjoyed playing all of the options in our bay. They had clubs & hockey sticks for my lefty. Very friendly staff.

My family and I were there yesterday for the first time and I can't stop thinking about our visit. The whole family had a blast! I highly recommend trying the virtual reality and ?walk the plank? Staff was very friendly and professional. Thanks Turfs Up!!!

This place is awesome. They treated my family very well and everyone had a great time. The machines weren't perfect but it didn't detract from having fun.

What a fun place to spend some time with friends. Tried my skill at baseball, it was easier to hit the balls when they were pitched. They also have a virtual reality helmet which was fun to watch!

It was an alright visit, but we wouldn't go back for a second visit. The equipment on the first bay was out of calibration so everything was off.
