Honestly, if you can avoid it, do it ! But you can not because it is located exactly at the entrance of the Waterpark. Prepare yourself to be robbed. Actually, it was ridiculous expensive. Machines charge double points, and pretty much you are there only to re load your card. The claw machines are scamming as always.... grip is bad. The 5d experience can take only 4 people at times - it was broken. One of the laser experiences was closed, and there was no one to tell you that. You barely get tickets back. S
This was a super fun amusement park. We decided to get the group Tom foolery?s pass plus arcade card during our hotel stay. It was super fun for kids between the ages of four and 12. For anyone under four I would not get a pass. The arcade has a store after you get your tickets from playing. All the kids love the rope course whether it was a big rope course or the little rope course the little kids under for like riding the individual rides that you can get with your arcade card. 2 to 3 nights of hotel is p
All the staff here were so nice and accommodating to our 3 neurodivergent kiddos. I want to say a huge shout out to Aden, last night he went above and beyond for my kids. He need a raise and to be recognized for his stellar patience, leadership, and customer service skills. Definitely needs to eventually be in a management/leadership position. I was very impressed.
Took the grandkids to the arcade. We got 2 cards with $50 each. They lasted about 30 minutes. The place is fun but pricey. It was pretty crowded so it took us a while driving around to find parking.
We took our daughter to Khalari, which has an amusement park connected. It's a nice indoor park, but very small. It's more for younger kids. Our daughter is 13, and she thought the rides were boring. It's definitely a great place for small kids.
My family loves escape rooms and we often go to them, but this experience was disappointing. The game master was not friendly toward my family and me. It didn't make sense that the timer continued running during the instructional videos and while the game master explained the rules, leaving us with less than 20 minutes to solve the second part of the game. When we pressed the hint button, the game master provided hints for sections we had already completed, and the game wouldn't progress properly. Even the
I was having a rough few days last month with the loss of my beloved pet but this place really made my hole weak!! Upon arrival I was greeted by name and it really felt like they named this place after me! They had tons of fun activities to do and I loved hearing all the young kids shout my name! Please consider visiting this place if you're around the area!
This place was amazing. Equipped with plenty of single and group water slides as well as a lazy river, water basketball courts, wave pool, AND a 21 & older grotto swim up bar. In addition, there was an indoor concession area as well as a full service bar. The lifeguards were all very attentive, and respectful of their guests. They were also informative, and helpful. (Harvey, Tevon, and all others thank you, again!) ***They have lockers available to rent, as well as plenty of places to park your stuff. The
This was a nice addition to our stay since the pool area has such short hours, so I do recommend adding it to your purchase. Rides are short but fun, and if games are your thing, they have lots.
A little disappointed because for two days certain riders were not working. I paid money for the 4 pack bands to be able to ride rides with my kids. We did enjoy the escape room, playing putt putt, laser tag, XD game. The mirror Maze was shorter than expected to go thru. As a parent $50 each kid on a game card goes very quickly.
It was fun.. but there was a huge issue. My MIDDLE SCHOOL class and I went. The rides were fun aswell as the games, but a huge issue is the weight limits. The rides stated that the limit was 250 pounds each person yet my friends who were obviously not over 250 pounds were denied access because the rides couldn't accommodate them. This was unacceptable and generally wrong. This could affect people mentally about their weight, and the fact that they did this to middle schoolers who are heavily influenced by t
Team, Thank you for the opportunity to experience your facility. Coming from the Austin area I was excited to visit your property. First, I want to commend your team of cleaners on keeping the property well clear of debris and their constant attention to clearing fingerprints off various arcade machines is commendable. Overall, the choice of attractions (roller coaster, climbing walls, mirror rooms, etc.), though limited in quantity, were satisfying. However, it will be my last time visiting the proper
Not worth the price. This place is extremely expensive compared to other indoor arcades you're better off going to Dave & busters or main event. We spent 100$ on TWO people alone and it just wasn't worth it, more like a money pit meant to make people spend as much money as possible .
Make sure you get the Tom Foolery package with your stay, worth the money for the package! Tons of games for everyone! Climbing walls take a while because of limited people climbing and unlimited time, but worth the wait! Laser Tag was great and the carnival rides were really fun! Games are expensive but that's life these days. Remember? it's just money.
Took my kids here, and we had an absolute blast! We've been traveling around with our 5th-wheel RV, and luckily, we found a great deal at Colinas RV Park?just $650 a month. Perfect location, affordable, and close to everything!
We came for a birthday party. It was really neat. Super fun. Not bad wait times. Plenty of games for all ages. It was a nice time.
We came here for my son's birthday and overall it was fun. I would say we probably won't return as there really isn't much to do for adults. I would compare it to a Dave and Busters but way more expensive.
I really want to like it here, but there are too many broken games. You pay first, only to find out something isn't working. Hungry Hungry Hippos had no balls, yet it still accepted card swipes. The Star Wars coin pusher was missing a ball for the special feature so that was completely unplayable. For the high price, the games should be fully functional. The current state is unacceptable.
A wonderful, distinguished, large family place that accommodates large numbers, games, a water park for all ages and many options, and a hotel for overnighting for the convenience of families who travel from distant cities and states, and a place that has everything that the child and the elderly require. Add a price for lunch and dinner, but it remains a beautiful, useful, comfortable and highly entertaining place
Kalahari on Super Bowl Sunday is the way to go! 100% worth the price and will be coming back!
We had fun just walking around and seeing the variety of activities and really liked that everything was indoors and close together.
Expensive! Also some of the rides or games that are popular don't work. Takes time to stand in line and work with customer service to get your refund back. Please try elsewhere and save your time, money and energy.
Most greedy arcade of all time. The equivalent of 5 dollars in credits per ride, rides only last a minute maximum. 26 whole credits for one racing game, not VR, nothing - outrageous pricing for somewhere that should have children in mind. Terrible experience.
Kalahari resorts is a great place for a short vacation! Check in took a little time, but you can come in early in the morning that day to check in. Ariana was very nice at checkin and very explanatory! All the employees have been nice and helpful!
They make you pay a ton of money to come here, tells you it opens at 10 am (on Saturday at least) but they apparently don't open rides until 11 am (which they don't tell you). Total bait and switch to get you to spend money on arcade games instead. Very shady business practice of you ask me.
They have escape rooms, arcade, rides, golf course, mirror maze, ropes courses, and lazer tag, they got it all! They should take some of it outdoors so they can build more ride attractions, but they rides they have are still super fun! One is a little ride, but the other is a crazy spinning one, where the car in the front spins like a tire while the others spin left to right! It is pretty fun!
Terrible customer service. We had an issue that ultimately was caused by miscommunication? and we couldn't get a refund. Let me be clear, we had just walked in and didn't do anything in the park. We tried talking it out and we tried to work around the problem, but the staff would not help nor care about our misfortune. We were civil and respectful about the situation, but the staff did not even attempt to help us. (Each crew member we ran into was unenthusiastic and rather rude). Overall, 1/5. It was a lot
Chantel at the 4D ride is so friendly. We came to Kalahari last year as well and remember her! She stops and asks how your day is and if you are liking the resort.
We went for a friends birthday and was the dream. It's like beating 3 years old and watching everything in the car from the window. Part of Kalahari and Kalahari was cool. I mean Wow it's a great place to have fun. Prizes, cost? meh. Is it worth it? Yes. I reccomend
Very nice place to come to...the kids loved them it..drinks are a little over priced.. pretty much everything is over price...but overall everything was great! The kids had fun.
The older kids were pleasantly surprised. They had fun without me having to buy any game cards. Be mindful that the included rides are in the middle of all paid games so it's tempting to not spend more. However, I made everything included first and would buy game cards if we had time. However, by the time we got through everything, it was time to eat and go to the water park.
We love coming here and hate to leave. First class amenities and a beautiful place. This is my 3rd visit
Lots of games and rides. The ropes course and climbing walls are awesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is super clean and maintained.
This is not a true arcade. Almost every game in this adventure park has a time limit...so if you reach a certain point in a game based on skill, a screen prompt will still show that another credit payment is required to continue. For example, a 10 credit game with three advances (transition from basic battle to boss fight) with two kids playing can turn into a 60 credit payment simply because you or your kids are good at the game. Our entire purchase of $50 of credits (230 credits, no rides) lasted only an
this was a waste of my money.. my son quickly got bored. I did not listen to other reviews but I wish I did. I just did not want to my son to say he never got a chance to try it but please save your money. I bought 3 unlimited tickets and only my son actually did all the attractions. I did the mirror maze but oh boy was it a JOKE!!!! I did the XD ride but it was not as good as I thought it to be. guess I was expecting more thats why I bought the ticket for myself and my mum. I have seen better 3D glasses.
Much larger than I thought it would be. Looks very fun for kids of all ages. Tons of games and rides. Also has indoor water park.
We brought our daughter here for a day trip for her birthday last week. We had so much fun and everyone was so helpful to us. Everything from the rides, to the rock climbing to the skyline felt incredibly safe and secure. Colby at the information desk was so kind when we had arrived. There is also a nursing room available. The games are fun and give alot of tickets too.
Spent several hours here with the family and had fun. This place is a bit pricey if you want to experience everything they offer. Attractions like the mirror maze and mini golf felt small and we got thru them rather quickly. Would recommend for the experience.
Take a walk around the arcade before you pay for tickets -the majority of games were not working. More than half than the number that are actually functional.
My son really enjoyed this place. So much so that we took him twice during our visit to Austin.
My granddaughter had a great time. It is expensive, the wrist bands, the restaurants etc. Would like to see some kind of coupon to help with cost. With the exception of one employee, all interactions with employees was excellent. Great customer service. The place is very clean and well taken care of. Undecided if will return.
Experience of a lifetime!!!!!! A little pricey for certain things that shouldn't be lol, but you kind of show up expecting that. Truly the definition of a resort. The room was amazing, service amazing, rides, arcade all amazing
Ok, here's the deal they got rid of the small toddler play area they used to have. Because of that my 18 month old was stuck in the stroller most of the time. My husband spent 140 just to enter the arcade and have ride access. I picked up the tickets and asked the ticket lady does this include any amount to play games, etc and she said no. So I spent another 140 to load up some cards to play games. Not what I expected. Guys their claw machines I think are super loosened if you get what I'm saying. We played
Great arcade with tons of options. Easy to win tickets and the redemption center offers high quality items. Our kids always leave with smiles after visiting. Also there's a kid friendly indoor roller coaster and a few other rides an attractions. It's attached to the hotel but anyone is welcomed and you do not have to be staying at the resort to attend.
SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place is a waste of money. For a family of four, we paid $200. My two year old was tall enough to ride the rides, but they said he had to be three. They allowed me to spend $30 for a pass for him and all we could do was the mirror?only about two minutes long and golf which he was too short for. We went for my seven year olds birthday. There is only a handful of rides?for $200. I just can't wrap my mind around it. In comparison, to stay at the resort on this day, it costs $240. We shoul
I liked that there were plenty of games. There was no need to stand around and wait your turn. There were no unaccompanied, undisciplined, disrespectful children running around. The only thing that was upsetting was the instructions on how to play the escape rooms. Which have to be booked in advance and the timing in which the rooms open. There were plenty of sitting areas and restrooms as well.
Worse experience ever. You buy a wristband and you scan to get on the rides. The workers there are terrible. My kids and I were in front of the line at Maximum Foolocity ride. We started scanning our wristbands and the worker didn't seem to care and was letting everyone in without scanning. When we turn around all the seats we're filled and the worker didn't seem to worried. He asked who went in and I told him everyone. He totally blew me off. I spoke to the manager and she didn't seem to care. Do not waste
My family and I stayed at the resort for three days and two nights the entire resort staff displayed excellent customer service Hannah at Tom foolery went above and beyond to explain the different options when purchasing wristbands and cards she took her time and didn't make me feel rushed even though the line was a little long .Jordan broussard a bartender at b luxe was also very helpful and displayed excellent customer service we will be coming back to this resort
Massive indoor arcade with roller coasters, laser tag, mirror maze, ropes force, Rockwall, and a 5D ride.
The slides and the lifeguards were nice although all the pools tasted like piss and the game cards were 25$ for 10 plays pretty much and most of the games were rigged
It's a bit pricey but there is a tin of games and if you buy the wristbands for rides for your kids to do. If you have long legs good luck on the rides though. There are some other paid things you can do but I haven't because my child is too young for the vr type stuff. Only real complaint is the price for all day expect around $200 plus
They had a lot of games they were fun. It was super expensive though.
This was a great place for my 15 year old and his friends to celebrate his birthday. Yes, it's pricey but worth the fun and experience. Kudos to the arcade manager who allowed us to switch a prize for one that we really wanted. Great customer service and experience over all.
Great outing for both kids and adults . Adventures ride for kids by 42 inches and above. We have a blast
The arcade was fun but when we turned in our tickets we had just over 1000. We had won a game and received 1000 points from that game. We played for over an hour on ticket games so we know the games weren't counting correctly. Also on a claw game we had a toy that made it to the drop but it didn't drop it. I asked and they said some games were malfunctioning. For the amount of money spent a real ripoff. Nice canned response I received huh? And I doubt you'll see me again even though I live very close to Kal
The kiosk for the card did not issue a card after payment. Had to wait in line to get someone to help us and it took 5 people to figure it out. Total 40 min wasted in just getting a card. The games are good and the are was clean.
The absolute best indoor amusement/water park experience. I loved Wisconsin dells but this place is now favored leaps above wolf ??lodge
These truly are awful workers in this park. Kalhari should be ashamed of themselves. I was mocked by the attendant at the ropes course because I I was unsure of the exact way to put on the harness and her instructions were incredibly vague. You are paying the same price as a six flags ticket for a few rides and incredibly rude workers. Go somewhere else.
Couldn't have been more fun ?? yes it was pricey but you get what you pay for...safely, cleanliness, structure, and staff that is readily available. Do not compare this place to main event, etc. There is no comparison. We stayed late on Sat and came back Sunday morning and every prize arcade had been fully restocked. We will absolutely return ????
Love it! Very fun. Three rollercoasters, obstacle courses, and rock climbing. There was also a restaurant right next to it, and it was really good. Would recommend.
Disappointed because we paid for wrist bands for all the ride, but half the rides weren't working. The section for younger kids had working rides but it's not staffed to support it. They had one person working the entire section. Lower the prices or hire people to work. Why am I paying the same amount for a lower quality experience?
Bought tokens at 9:40pm because the google hours said they were open until 11pm. Turns out they made a mistake and are only open until 10pm. We ended up having to spam our tokens on random games, as they wouldn't give our money back. They also promptly closed the gift store and wouldn't even let us redeem our tickets that we accumulated over our stay.
Not sure if it was just a bad day but our experience was not a good one. I paid $100+ for a wristband & game card. The employees at the rock climbing and zip line kept tell us they were on break and both were closed. Had to call a manager to have them open both up. Manager recognized there was 5 employees just chatting and not assisting customers. Also, restaurant at Tom Foolerys has foreign employees that have a had time communicating with customers which made it very hard to order. Not sure if we'll be ba
We are here on a Tuesday. Bought my daughter a wrist band for "unlimited" rides. My daughter rode a ride, then wanted to go again. Got back at end of line and there were only a few people so there was plenty of room to ride again. The teenager in charge of the ride wouldn't let her go and stated she had to wait 15 minutes in between rides. They ran the ride half empty because he decided to enforce a 15 minutes wait with no line. Ridiculous. We've been here before and never had anyone do that. We'll
my friends and i, all in our early 20s, went to tom foolery?s this week. we spent about 4 hours here and still didn't have enough time to do everything! there is a wide variety of activities and arcade games that are fun for all ages. we had a great time!
It was clean and had some nice places to eat. The Tom Foolerys is suited more towards families with small children, rather than older sdults with no children. We still had fun though. I could recommend an outdoor zipline for older children and adults though, I think that would be nice.
It was a fun place for kids (not really little little kids) and adults. You can spend hours there. However, it is pricey and can add up fast for a family. I would go back if they are on Pogo Pass.
I visited in November 2022 while in the area visiting my sister. I had the best time playing games with my nephews and even my sisters! I wondered around the entire place and it was so beautiful! I hope to visit again when I'm in the area.
We are here (round rock location) for my daughter?s 10th birthday and they are having a blast. But more importantly, the staff is so helpful and sweet and accommodating. Especially Emilio.
Fun and clean enough, but way overpriced for what it is, especially the arcade. A $25 game card gives you, what 5 or 6 plays? That's $4 a play! 15 whole minutes of fun! That's on top of the entry fee.
Paid $170 to add unlimited rides to our hotel stay. There are 5 rides, one not functioning. Two of them we were not allowed to go on because we didn't pack sneakers with us. All that money for two small rides. Definitely NOT worth the money, stick with just the water park.
This review is just for the adventure park. We went today. We brought our tickets online and still had a wait in a line at the infoolmation desk. What was the online ticket purpose if you still wait in line? That is understandable if you were waiting in a line for those who already paid their money but you wait in line with all that buying tickets at that time too. So useless to buy before getting there. The most thrilling ride they have was not working today. So that is that for us. So for the price and 3
Claws don't grip into the items. In one instance, the claw actually let go of the toy before rising back up. Such a waste of money. Resort is excellent tho, just tom foolery is a complete waste
Love it .We stayed at hotel so we got the package that Included the rides .The kids had so much fun.
Went there for Spring Break 2022.
Went for my daughter birthday an im happy she was able to get on most of the rides an the few she just needed an adult which is fine
They are way too overpriced. They got some cool games but they cost from 8 to 12 credits each. Spent $100 in 30min. Dave and Busters is a little expensive but way cheaper than here with a lot better prizes.
We're locals so we don't stay at the resort. We use it as a place to go for a couple hours of entertainment. We play some games, have some snacks and once in awhile have dinner at Double Cut. 5 minute drive.
Fun Games and Rides for the whole family located in the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, TX
Solid experience. Good fun, even as an adult. A surprisingly Fair ticket shop. The staff that are in the climbing wall is great.
Fun for what it is but WAAAAY too expensive. This place gives Disneyland prices a run for their money. A single day pass 150 dollars... per person, not including food, drinks, lockers, arcade games, escape rooms, vr experiences. Want to stay a night? 450 dollars. If I want a water park I'll just drive to schlitterbahn, its bigger, better, and cost 25% as much. If I want an arcade, there's a litany of cheaper alternatives in austin. This place ain't priced for locals unless you happen to be loaded, t
We came for my two year olds birthday. It was on Friday but we decided to wait till Sun and stay 2 nights. The water park was fun. The kids enjoyed it and i was able to tube with my daughter. 2nd day we decided to take kids to arcade and rides. Unfortunately my 2 year old wasn't able to get on anything. He was able to walk the ropes course. And we took him to the kids park, almost every ride in there was broken. The material was falling apart and looked sooo cheap. It looked like everything was years old an
The ride my kids wanted did not work and the second floor of the Trantok was closed. Tons of games would not take our ticket card. Not pleased. It was better when it first opened. Some rides were taken out also. Not pleased.
Escape room: A group of 5 friends did the ?Escape from Planet Obscura? and we finished it in 4:30 min. This is a complete joke. Don't waste your money at these. $15/per person. We are college kids but maybe it's good for little kids.
I have two special needs Godsons and Lakaysha was really cool and understanding. She.was awesome in every way. She cracked jokes which really made us feel at ease. We were lucky to have her!!
Bought a family four pack for Tom foolery totaling 151$. When purchasing they didn't disclose they had some of the main attractions under maintenance nor did they disclose they didn't have enough employees to have all attractions open they also shut down some of the rides prior to closing and we waited and waited for the ones they said would open and they never did we asked the Tom foolery desk about this and they made it very clear if we even used the passes for one activity they would not credit or con
Please, save your money. I will admit that I'm not the target audience. I am a 15 year old roller coaster enthusiast who stopped here to ride Screamin? Centipede and Star Force Orbiter. as a result, I did not do the other rides, games, or the like. This resort and its attractions seem like fun for toddlers and young kids. The theming and art design is also nice, and there was some creativity involved with the art direction. However, for any coaster enthusiasts out there, DO NOT COME. The place is obviously
Indoor ropes course. Small indoor roller coaster. Laser tag. Immersive shootout ride game. Great place for tweens & teens to spend a day.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
