My husband and I ate here on a Saturday. We walked in very shortly after they opened, so the pl wes completely empty. We were seated right away, and the waitress took very good care of us... Now the food; the grits were the best I have ever eaten. Truly. The fried chicken was crispy, hot, and fresh. I was able to get Texas Pete seasoning on my fries, and it was so good! I have never seen that on any menu before. After we ate, we played pool, darts, and a few arcade games that were in the game room. Overall,
First?. The food?. Every bite of everything is IMMENSE pleasure! It's Southern cooking raised to an exquisite level of perfection! I was at a private event for about 40 people upstairs with a buffet. The first thing I saw was the CORNBREAD and OMG it was thick, moist, rich, and I savored every bite. Everything on the buffet was packed with FLAVOR! Our attentive, always-smiling server was Ty, and we were so fortunate she was assigned to us! I was a co-host of the event and she knew where everything was
Nice atmosphere and good service for the two drinks we ordered. We didn't order food. I take 2 stars off because they charge extra for credit cards. Businesses benefit from easy billing and reduced counting errors and therefore should not penalize credit card purchases.
Great local beer, good food, and exceptional service especially by our server Jackie (knew the menu and all the drink options inside and out and was very personable)
This was an awesome space, and the nachos were really delicious! Absolutely loaded with toppings, you really get your money?s worth with that appetizer. We came to play pool and watch the Saturday NFL games as well, and were having a nice time until an employee?s three children came in. They were loud and rowdy and definitely disrupted the atmosphere of a chill game/seating area. We left our pool game tied just because we didn't feel like being subject to their noise for another 40mins, closed out at the ba
Tried the pretzel bites and they were good, the cheese was a bit too oily for me. Our bartender, Brookelyn, was amazing and made our experience exceptional. Would definitely recommend.
Great food. Horrible service! Our waiter took forever to initially come to our table. When he finally arrived, he had ZERO personality and seemed aggravated to even be there. He dumped our drinks at our table then took forever to come back to take our order. When he brought my kid's food out before ours, he left no silverware so they weren't even able to eat..when he finally came back back with our food, I asked for silverware and he have me MAJOR attitude when he presented it to me,.like I was out of line
Shame that a central downtown bar/restaurant has such bad service on a Wednesday night. Our party of 4 sat at the bar with several seats still open. The amount of time between when my tequila soda sat empty and purely eye-contact was 20 minutes. Perhaps someone called out? However, in that case, all it takes is an acknowledgment of falling behind to warrant 4 or 5 stars. Working the bar shouldn't be so hard. If you have dinner reservations and are stopping here for a drink, better make it one, not two.
Had a wonderful meal this evening! Dalton was on his job with impeccable service. Apps were delicious and plentiful entr?es!
Two stars for our amazing server and how clean the place was. But the food was so bad :( I went with six other people and each of us sampled each other's food and none of us liked our food. It was all bad. Everything from the burgers to the salads to the salmon and whatever else we ordered. Only the coke zero was good. Wish I could like this place, but I just can't justify the exorbitant prices for extremely low quality food
This place was great!! Loved the food. I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes. They were nice. Loved the salad that came with it on the side, as well as the jam and pimento cheese. The Buffalo nacho was different but great. I lived the Buffalo blue cheese sauce that came on it. I lived how some of the cheese had this fried effect to it. It was nice. OMG!! The Pork Belly Tacos are definitely a hit. Please try those for sure. I will definitely be back! Looking forward to it!
Visited once for a work meeting and had to go back to get the hummus again. The food was amazing while also being average price for the area. The staff were extremely friendly and super quick. The whole atmosphere is clean and relaxed, plus they have a small arcade area! Parking can be tedious, but they currently have a reimbursement process for the adjacent parking garage.
Super great experience thanks for Joey and Jackson! I would give my soul for the buffalo chicken egg rolls - all the food was unique and amazing. Very dog friendly space
We stopped by here for drinks and dinner on a Thursday after work with the kids. It place was pretty empty at 5 pm and they had a private event in the other room. It has a really cool atmosphere and it is massive. The only downside was the service was a little slow even though they had more than enough staff just standing around. The food was also a little off as well. My wife got nachos which were fine but the pimento cheese and pork rinds were a bit stale. Both dishes and our sons chicken strips were very
Great restaurant/brewery to add to your bucket list! I'm an avid craft beer drinker and their brews did not disappoint... Their ale was my personal favorite. Nachos are huge, we were stuffed by the time our main courses got to us. The atmosphere is unique as well and our kids enjoyed the games they had available. And plenty of TVs for all the games. Try them out!
Visited here on a week night. Place was close to empty so we were a little concerned. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Service was fast and accurate. The food we got was very good. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. Good sized portions for the price. The only thing that was not great was the beer selection and taste. They were out if one or 2 they had listed and the ones I tried were average at best.
Tobacco road, not sure where the name came from but I am not upset about the beer and food!! If you want to stop right after the beer and nachos, I don't blame you! The portion, quality and price of those nachos is 10/10. I can't wait to get back and get more. Loved the atmosphere to watch the NBA playoffs and my entree was good but nothing could compare to those nachos
I got the down east nachos, and they were delicious! The pork was good with the melted cheese and the pickled okra and red onions There was something on every chip unlike other places, and the nachos are on a huge pizza pan. The staff was really nice, and there are a lot of TVs and an arcade room.
Stopped here while in town during late afternoon on a weekday. It was mostly empty. The female bartender was so friendly and gave excellent service. The beer was decent. Place was not memorable.
What an amazing place! I haven't been here in a while since I moved out of town, but I was blown away by my last experience. They've completely remodeled the place and it looks AMAZING! We had a party of 25 and definitely felt like we were at home. Everyone from the front desk to our servers was welcoming and friendly. Our food was amazing too! I had the Strawberry And Avocado Salad with shrimp. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!
Just wanted to thank Tahseen H for taking care of my family on Saturday morning 4/3/25. My baby sister graduated from NC STATE & she picked this venue for our family of 17 to have lunch! The vibes were great and Tahseen was more than accommodating, patient and so very nice! We had a wonderful lunch, the food was fantastic. I had the salmon plate with the asparagus with garlic mashed potatoes and it was delicious. Thank you Tahseen for everything!
Cool place to grab a casual bite and drinks. Perfect place to go watch a game - lots of TV?s. Food was pretty good - the fried chicken was lacking sauce and the pulled pork needed more flavor. We really enjoyed the pork rinds and pimento cheese appetizer. Had a nice outside seating area and inside was clean. Very cool game room - kids would love this place. Took forever to get our drinks, which I don't think was any fault of our server who was trying her best. I'd give this place another shot.
Surprisingly good food and it wasn't a fluke. The bartender made an amazing drink and convinced the kitchen to make something light even after shut down. He was awesome.
The food was good. Our server, Zane, was very attentive. They have a small game room in the back to help kill time while waiting. We didn't really get the chance to check out the brewery part, but you could see some of it from where you ate.
The food was just not good. I had the BLT with fried green tomato. It might have been ok if there was more bacon and a lot less pimento cheese loaded on it. Totally overwhelmed all the other flavors and made the sandwich a sloppy gooey mess
Attended a private event here while in NC for a conference. The service at the bar(s) was great, it was a packed house. The food was good, not sure if the catering was in house or provided by an outside company but it was lovely. Would definitely check this place out again during normal operation houses.
The service was good and the presentation was also good. The atmosphere was also very nice. The food came out quickly and the waiter was very polite. Unfortunately, the food was not delicious at all. It is probably the most bland and flavorless food I've ever had in Raleigh and I'm a native. Especially the mac and cheese, which I think tasted very close to dish water. My friend said his food was also not tasty (Philly cheesesteak and tator tots). The cocktails were also very bland. The white sangria was tas
Tuesday June 10th 7 pm , not sure who the ray of sunshine was behind the bar was (black hair ,young , female, white ) but she made our experience pretty shitty my business partner and I who have frequented here in the past with zero issues stood at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to be greeted or find out if their closed cause it seemed they had a private party she finally appeared and just sat us at the bar asking us both if we would like a drink my partner orders a beer and I attempt to order as well and a
I'm currently attending a bar mitzvah party here. I've spent a large portion of the party outside because it's just too damn loud inside. Last time I went in , it seemed like the staff wrongly suspected that I wasn't supposed to be there, based on how they were interacting with me. I certainly hope I never have reason to come here again. The party food was fine, but nothing special.
Eh. Went here with Erica, Todd and Diana for ericas 40th. Mid day and we were the only people in there. Just got apps, none were very good. Would be a cool spot to watch a game and drink but eat first.
We held a rehearsal dinner at Tobacco Road and it was great! The space, food, bar and service! You will not be disappointed if you have an event in their space!
Attended a networking event here. The location is good and there is a parking deck on the same block, paid parking. Industrial look and feel, lots of y?all windows and natural light. Great, laid back feel. The beer was delicious. They served eastern NC pulled pork, shrimp and a southwest egg roll. WOW. Delish. This is definitely a spot I'll be back to for a sit down meal and to try some more beer.
Hosted a private event here this weekend. From planning to execution the service was unbelievable. The food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Our bartenders were kind and accommodating. Highly recommend for a private event.
I come here frequently to meetup with fellow football fans only because, the atmosphere is electric! But the food and service is another deal. I find that the food and service has changed and that you may want to eat somewhere else before you come here. In the last couple of months, I have noticed inconsistentencies in how the food is prepared now versus when I first came here. A juicy hamburger with a slightly toasted bun is preferred instead I get a burger with a burnt bun taste to it. The fries used to
We had a group party here. Food was a good though with limited options. Few playing options are available which add more fun with group. Bar is excellent, variety options available from fresh and bottled beer with whisky and rum ??
This place was F#!@*&g great! Was in town for a concert and stopped by. Couldn't have been happier. Huge place, great in-house beers, fantastic food. There's a game room in the back, with done really cool stuff, and all of the TVs are yup by the ceiling so you can watch everything easily. Prices are right on point. The only problem is that I live in VA and now I have to drive 3 hours there and back for dinner everyday.
The food and beer were fine, but the service was very poor. Really the only possibly explanation for the servers behavior and the 8+ forgotten drinks and food orders could be that he was high.
Yummmmmm!!! The service was a tad bit slower than one would expect for a slower paced Sunday Night, but the food was delicious! We had a party of seven and tried multiple dishes that everyone enjoyed.
Good food and a good beer selection, although not spectacular enough for the full 5 stars. Service was a little slow, but it was a busy night and there were college games on. But, we'll be going back sometime!
We had an excellent experience here & had the best waiting service from JR! The drinks were great & they went out if their way to make sure the food we ordered was made perfectly!
I would give this place 5 stars, but someone lied to me about reservations after offering a spot and asking for my name. Aside from this, I will say that this is a great place to bring a date or a group of guys. Also, if you have no clue as to what you want from the menu try Big Al's chicken Philly or the what my girl ordered (I think it was a spicy chicken sandwich).
The place is nicely done inside. It feels clean. The service was good. The food though was not good at all.
Very busy during weekends and sports. Great beer selection. Good food menu with some different items than you normally find. Decent prices. Great service and staff!!! Food came out very fast. Outdoor seating available. Pet friendly. Games inside (darts, video etc). Tons of tv's.toys. we had 2 appetizers (fried green tomatoes and Buffalo chicken eggrolls).
Fodd was fantastic -- from the fries green tomatoes -- to the country fried chicken breast -- burgers are amazing -- they have impossible burgers as well -- buffalo chicken sandwich and the Texas Pete tater tots are off the charts -- they have a game room with air hockey, pinball, pool table, and skee ball -- plenty of TVs to watch the games -- a definite recommendation
This is a nice place for food, drinks, private parties, and to watch a sports game on TV. A great bonus is that it's attached to where the Durham Bull's play minor league Baseball. Daily food and drink specials. Nice staff. Plenty of parking. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Credit cards accepted. Public Restrooms. Nice staff. Great to order appetizers and share. We will definitely be going back
Tami (the general manager) was great to work with while we planned our rehearsal dinner. Her emails were extremely prompt and helped us figure out exactly what we needed for the meal. All of the food was delicious and our guests loved it. We went with the house package for drinks which worked perfectly for what we needed. We were in The Press Box which had plenty of space for our thirty or so guests. Our servers were on top of the drink orders the entire night. We enjoyed our experience with planning and at
This really exceeded my expectations. The food was superb. Large portions, quality was impeccable along with the service. Wanted to try this place several years ago when I was in town and missed the opportunity but was definitely worth the trip
Honestly expected more. Beautiful place, decent atmosphere. Food was pretty disappointing and the service was the worst.
Terrible service. Had to leave so we could get drinks somewhere else. Too bad has a so much potential. The waiter had to have been on something.
The staff was awesome and friendly I ordered 2 bags of pretzels they were hot and fresh almost tasted right out of the oven Can't wait to go back
Bartender was in his nose, waitress was good atmosphere was ok. Food wasn't that great.
Megan was a amazing waitress. Friendly and polite. Helped me pick which cocktail to get. Food was GREAT
Not awful, but not great. Server did an ok job but had no "energy". Sounded like a great place but missed a beat. Enjoyed that its a Ravens bar tho..
Went here with a large group recently and half of us had the worst food poisoning the next 24-48hours. Although the service was fine, I would not recommend chancing it with the food.
We went yesterday to watch the US World Cup game. Awesome atmosphere, food and service!! Plus, my son loved playing all the arcade games, can't recommend it enough!
Overall a great space with different rooms for dining, dancing, and games. I love the old brick building. It also has a nice outdoor patio. However, when we went on Friday, the place was dead. There were more staff floating around than customers on the two open sides - there was a private event in the dance room. The bartender, although quick, was not at all pleasant. We only stayed for one drink. Drinks were also cheaper across the street at 42nd and the place was much more lively.
We are in town from Cleveland and went here for the Browns game. We had a great experience - super food - recommend the Buffalo nachos and chicken breasts with honey / veggies & garlic mashed. By far - the best part was Marquis - the bartender and server who did an outstanding job. Thanks for a great day, Marquis!
We wanted to try something with a varied menu since our kids were with us. My husband ordered the Buffalo chicken egg rolls and they were dry and bland. I ordered the hummus. It didn't taste bad but it also wasn't good. My son's chicken sandwich had one old piece of chicken and one fresh piece of chicken. On the way out, we noticed the sanitation score is a 92.5 which is pretty low for a restaurant. Our server was nice and they took the egg rolls off our bill. Probably a good place to go to drink and watch
My first time here but a really great place. Service was outstanding. Try the fried green tomato appetizer and the bruchetta. Beef ribs are fall off the bone perfect. Highly recommend!
The service is incredible. Tammy the GM was amazing and so accommodating. This is the place when you want to bring a bunch of guys to watch a game!
Service was excellent. So was the food. Great beer selection too! I will definitely return!
Attended a private event here. Really cool place, would definitely come back during normal business to check it out again when in North Carolina next time.
Great food! We were here for st Patrick?s day and it was really busy but we managed to get a table for nine and the waiter was great! Food was awesome too. Good vibe and kid friendly overall.
Today was our first time trying this restaurant and my family and I were very impressed. Very relaxed atmosphere with neat seating and TVs. Our waitress, Ashley, was very attentive and friendly. She recommended the most popular items and she did not disappoint. We ordered shrimp + steak tacos, cheesesteak, nachos, fried green tomatoes, and chicken taquitos and each dish was excellent. We were highly impressed and will definitely be back. Thank you, Ashley!
I just drank beer and had a couple of appetizers but was very happy with my experience. I just recently found out that Tobacco Road brews their own beer so I had to take a trip to try it and was pleasantly surprised. Great beer and tasty pimento cheese appetizer. The Tropical IPA was very yummy. They also validate parking in the garage behind them if you bring parking receipt and spend 15 bucks.
We usually eat here when going to the theater and have usually enjoyed ourselves. This visit was not great. It was suggested we would be 'served faster at the bar' so we sat there. Our food took a really long time as those around us (who sat after us) were served - we ordered two salads (and the meat on them was lukewarm at best). We watched one bartender pour a glass of wine, another bartender pointed out that the glass was dirty, so he poured that wine (from the dirty glass) into another glass and se
A broad range of beers and food is pretty good too. Service was very friendly
We had our company holiday party here. The food was delicious and wait staff was awesome!! I was very impressed and highly recommend. I wish I took more photos.
Great atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was excellent!
Great spot, Great food. Awesome manager!
by far the best experience I have had in Raleigh. All the servers were attentive and happy to help us! The food was delicious, we were here to watch UFC with a group and had 5 different apps that were all amazing. The drinks were delicious. I can speak for the pacific beer and their amber was great! We will be back for sure!
I really liked this place, the food was amazing! The hostess was friendly, the table was lovely decorated with a Xmas theme!.
I came here for a special event, so there was no service to speak of. That's why I did not grade the service. Food was good but nothing that was truly memorable - not bad just not memorable it could have just been my menu choice that day. Love the atmosphere and the vibe. I will visit again for sure and try something different. It really is one of Raleigh?s hot spots. Parking is easy with a deck directly behind. There is also outside seating which I love!
I will Never eat here again. Silverware and napkins were dirty. Food was cold. Service was so slow it was ridiculous
The beer is pretty great here, also pretty good drink prices. I got the Mac n cheese, would highly recommend. Their menu has good variety. It's not the most warm and welcoming atmosphere (I think mostly due to location), but it's typically quiet, and the staff is very friendly.
We stopped in for a quick bite to eat before our escape room and this was the perfect place.
Always a must go when in Raleigh! The food is amazing, staff is friendly, and a great place to watch your favorite sports!
I use to love this place but it has fallen. The chicken sandwhich is visibly worse, the salmon we ordered was raw and the egg rolls tasted like old chicken. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Great time, good service... Went for a meet and greet function. The building was rustic and industrial. Parking was plenty. The wait staff super friendly. The did plentiful and delish.
MLB package and great specials. They also have all the best bar games including ski ball, basketball, punching game, billiards, and foosball.
It was very much a typical sports bar. My friends weren't impressed but I enjoyed myself (: the pulled pork sandwich was awesome!
We went there for the NFL playoffs and it had a great atmosphere without being too loud or uncomfortable. The games area is the best for the kids...it has a pool, some arcade, foosball and other cool stuff. Service was very quick and the cocktails tasted good. They also have a strong draft menu.
Did a great job serving our large company group with quick service (though there were few other guests, to be fair). I had the squash and shrimp pasta which was delicious with no off flavors in the shrimp. The atmosphere was typical of a sports bar.
Nice place to hangout. They even have an small game arcade within the complex. Food and drinks are the best part of this place.
They had a great menue and between the four of us, the lunch was delicious
Holy nachos Batman! The down east nachos are amazing! Gigantic portion and delicious. I would definitely get again.
We went for dinner last night. The white wine Sangria was tasty. The fried green tomatoes were bland and the fried chicken was extremely dry and hard to cut. I would not recommend this place.
Food is not what you would expect for a sports bar. It is quite good. Bartenders seem a little cliquish with regulars. They also have events which take a lot of their capacity. We had to try three times to get a seat at the bar.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
