What an amazing nostalgic hidden gem it's a hour flat rate all you can play. Well kept and organized. Take a trip down memory lane. Also have lounging spot for console playing. Thanks for an awesome experience. Will bring the rest of the family next time.
A great time for a solid price. Lots of nostalgia to be had. Visited for Father's Day with my 87 year old pinball loving dad. He had a great time! A few things were broken and unavailable but most was usable and fun!
We took my sons a couple times & recently took my son and his friends for his birthday. The entire experience was fantastic. The kids played for 2 entire hours and the only way to get them to leave was to bribe with pizza and cake.
Lots of games. Also, lots of broken games. Place was very loud. Wasn't very clean. Empty hand sanitizers all over, out of paper towels in the bathroom, dirty floors. The nostalgia was spot on though! All the games from my youth must be the same from most everyone because they were mostly broken. Clerks mural in the back was awesome!
They have ALL the arcade classics from the '70s '80s, '90s and 2000s. Most are in pristine or if not great condition. This is a must do if you're a fan of arcade or video games. There's some true cultural history hidden here. Decent value as well
The Best Nostalgia arcade in the area great prices play all the games for an hour or longer. From Mortal Combat to Simpsons it's a great place to bring kids and adults to enjoy all the old school games!!! A++++ love this place makes Dave and Busters look like a joke
I asked the associate about games not working that younger kids could use not working. He confirmed they were not working. After getting manager/owner he told me the associate claimed I said no games were working. He aggressively showed me games that work. After expressing that we had young kids and were only interested in games in that age group he got in face and got aggressive. Will not ever go here and will spread the word of how it is managed. 40 dollars wasted. We had to leave at 30 minutes due
This is such a cool place! You pay $10 to play anything you want for a hour, then $5 per 30 minutes if you stay longer. Everything there is set to free play so just walk up to a machine and start playing. They had a lot of cool pinballs machines, vintage arcade games, air hockey, a pool table, and old chairs in the back so you can play vintage console games hooked up to vintage TVs. You could easily spend hours in this place and never get bored.
Been here twice over the years and we absolutely love it! We've done both the all day access and the one hour access, and you definitely get your money's worth with either. You're allowed to leave and come back if you need a quick snack or drink. Plenty of machines and different game types. I'm a fan of pinball machines especially and they have loads of options. The first time we visited, there were a few machines that weren't working, but the last time we went everything seemed to be good. I love how the t
Oh hell yeah!!!! Best arcade experience of my life. 10 bucks an hour! 2 dollar slushee refills. My fave part is if I don't like a game I move on to the next. No swiping cards or putting in quarters. 100% recommended. I will bring my family here at least once a month. Finally another cheap outing we can do. Thanks ?? for the awesome experience!!!
The sheer number of machines in this place is astounding, so theres always something to do. They have drinks and snacks up front which was nice. The arcade is tons of fun and all in all I highly recommend and i will definitely be back
Over the last several years we have made the trip up to Timeline numerous times from Baltimore and I'm sad to say we are probably not coming back up here, even with Marylands arcade situation in unknown turmoil with Spinners in Frederick being out of commission for a while now. Every time we visit, less and less games work properly to the point where today over half the game we approached just did not work for various reasons. I see the owners responses asking people to tell them that games aren't working p
Talk about a fun time!! We just moved to the area and discovered this fun place after dinner across the street. My husband and I got to enjoy a few rounds Goldeneye and I got to challenge my best friend to a few round of DDR. This arcade has everything you could ask for both old and new games! The pay by the hour concept is amazing. This will definitely be our new date night place.
Insanely fun! It's better than your typical arcade because you pay for your time there instead of each individual machine. We paid for an hour and played so many games we didn't even use the full time anyways! It was great and the place was huge. You could honestly stay there all day and still have things to do, probably.
I went with my sister, brother-in-law, and five year old. We had an excellent time! $10 for an hour was such a deal especially on a rainy summer day. We played our hearts out and my child got to experience games from my childhood. I cannot wait to go back!
Awesome arcade! I love that the games are freeplay and you can get an hourly or daily pass, I could definitely spend several hours here. I make sure to stop by everytime I pass through the area. They have a great mix of old and newer games and lots of cool pinball machines.
This place is TONS of fun. So many classic games I grew up on. Unless you have incredible willpower with videogames and can walk away in an hour, I recommend getting the all day pass as time can fly by super quick.
The best arcade I've ever been to in my life. We stumbled upon Timeline just walking by, and it's such a gem. Before finding Timeline, I've very rarely been to an arcade and not been at least a little disappointed, whether it be because they're missing a game I wanted, or a bunch of games are broken, or just the overall atmosphere being a bit lacklustre. Timeline has the most games I've ever seen in a single arcade, and you pay by the hour instead of buying tokens. The selection of games is seriously impres
Had a great time! Loved the nostalgic vibe
I did really enjoy this place and would have stayed longer but man is it HOT in there. They really need some better ventilation or fan running or something! Probably will return but can't stay more than an hour
I'm going to come here as much as possible. One of my favorite places and my wife and nephews love it too ?? I can't wait to come back
Cheap fair price to get in. Lots to choose from game wise with 95% up and running to perfection. Neat atmosphere. Easy to spend an hour or a day here.
This place is huge and has so many games from the early 80's maybe even before to current. Over 25 pinball machines, an set up in the back like an old basement with the couches from the 80's and the original Nintendo consoles. So much more here than I realized. Awesome place. Unlimited play by the hour. Highly recommend.
I love the atmosphere and affordable prices of this place but wow some of the games were in dire need of maintenance when I visited, particularly the racing games which are my favorite genre to play.
Super fun evening at the arcade! I used to go to the Hanover location more, and haven't been to York location in a few years. An hour wasn't enough time, it was so much fun! Highly recommend checking it out!
Amazing arcade! Takes me back to my youth. All the great classic games I remember and even some pretty current machines. The pinball selection is also amazing. We will definitely be back!
This is a great spot to play some old school games and relive your childhood. The cost is cheap and you can stay as long as you want. There are many places to grab a bite right near so it makes it so convenient to make a whole day of it and explore downtown. Stop in an try to beat my high scores! Haha!
An incredible collection of games and my kids appreciated the consoles with Five Nights at Freddy?s and Fortnite. My wife and I enjoyed all the newest Stern pinball machines and amazing 80s collection of true classics. We have season passes to HersheyPark and always stop on our way back home. Also, the ICEE machine dispenses THE BEST quality ICEEs around. Plus they have the new Ghostbusters flavors! Great staff and worth a visit.
Great place, been there once and I plan to return so many old arcade games from pacman to ski ball, they have a lot of different pinball games as well as old consoles in the back. It's a really nice setup in the back looks like an old home that would had them old consoles in.
Love this place. Will definitely visit again. $10 an hour for unlimited play. Great games and staff
This place is rad. If you like arcade games you'll have a blast. Such a great selection and the pay for time concept allows you to actual beat games without breaking the bank.
Revisited yesterday and many of the games are broken or not working properly. It's pretty neat that they have such a wide assortment of games, but it also feels like maintenance isn't being done. Also the difficulty setting on many games seems to be set at high, so that often a game might last only a minute or two, if that long.
We stumbled upon this place while visiting downtown. They have an amazing selection of games that brought out my inner ten year-old. When we went out was $10 an hour to play as much as we wanted. The only downside is that it is difficult to figure out how to get some of the games to start. The staff is very friendly and willing to help but figuring out how to start each game really cuts into your play time. Other than that though, it is an awesome place!
Had a great time! They have games from every decade and it was a blast to relive it with my son with unlimited lives! Great time, good prices, and great memories.
Stepping into the arcade was like stepping back in time. The flashing lights and classic game sounds brought back a rush of childhood memories. It was a joy to rediscover the games that once captivated us for hours on end. Each joystick and button held the promise of another exhilarating adventure. Whether you were a seasoned gamer or new to the classics, there was something there for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere was electric with friendly competition and shared nostalgia. It was a reminder of the
We LOVE TIMELINE!!! Pure nostalgic delight! An amazing selection of classic games including a late 80s early 90?s faux rumpus room with Sega and Nintendo set up for a real step back in time. They have polybius the mind control game which is definitely addictive, timber which is hilarious and so fun, burger time, kangaroo, mad pin ball games and much more! Will be going back again and again!
A wide variety of games from the past! We spent 2 hours here and definitely could have stayed longer. BYOB feature is great. Excited to come back with friends again and excited to bring my parents in to revisit their childhoods. 6/11/23 edit: I brought my parents in last night and they had a fantastic time. My dad had a medical emergency where we had to call an ambulance. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to move furniture around to allow EMS to reach my dad. They gave us free slushees and gi
Really great arcade that charges by the half hour or hour instead of per game. Excellent way to progress through the games without spending loads of quarters. Would highly recommend this arcade if you're in the area.
So much fun!! Talk about flashbacks! So many pinball machines! My favorite !
I love coming here for an hour now and then to pass some time. Unfortunately sometimes the games I came to play are not working but it's pretty easy to find another one to play. Great place to check out if you love games from the 90's also! They also do kids parties, and have byob rules after 11pm on weekends! Tonight it was $10 per person per hour. They also offer food and drink inside
Visiting from North Georgia. The best arcade ever! So much to do, not enough time to do it all. The best entertainment center! Can't wait to come back.
Great arcade with a lot of older games and pinball machines, highly recommended. 1 hour for 10$ bucks
I love it here! Definitely my favorite stop when I'm in York, and with only 10 dollars for an hour of play it's super affordable. Plus they have so many retro arcade cabinets and retro console games on old tvs. I wasn't alive in the 90s but I can at least pretend I was when I'm here
This is one of the best retro arcades I've been to. Even compared to ones I frequent in Brooklyn/NYC. Well curated collection and most machines are in phenomenal condition. Great pricing and layout. I just wish they had Major Havoc and Tempest cabinets. Great pinball lineup. Love the old TVs with NES, SNES consoles.
Combine nostalgia, fun, competition and variety and you have Timeline Arcade. I love the variety of games that brings me back to simpler times of my youth.
Love it here. Every time we go I get lost for hours. It isn't perfect, but that's what makes it so good. 11/10 would recommend.
We loved this arcade, $10/hr or $25/day for unlimited play on a large selection of newer and classic games.
We had a good time here. Many fun games from over time. This is a great addition to an up n coming downtown. Its priced currently at $10 for an hour or $25 for the day /per person. Both adults n kids can have a great time. Love the Pacman game here...I will be back.
This place is so cool. A wonderful cabinet selection, and then a bonus classic home systems nook. The old couches and floor model TV's really help sell the nostalgic trip. This might be the best arcade I have ever been to.
Our group had a really great time in this arcade. There were 5 games that weren't working during our visit, no big deal for most but a let down for a person in our group that was wanting to play a specific game. The Guitar Hero game is annoyingly turned up to an insane volume and plays a continuous demo when no one is playing, it completely drowns out the sound of many of the other games you are trying to play in the immediate vicinity.
This place is awesome! We had a blast and it is so affordable. We are visiting from Georgia and definitely will return When we come back to see family.
Great idea. However, countless games are broken. If the machines worked properly this would be a place that I would frequent.
A great place for a date, time with friends, or to bond with your kid. Great selection of games- I particularly like the side by side games- giant Ms. Pacman for up to four is great and wish they had a few more. Impressive pinball from more than four decades. $10 an hour of unlimited play and BYOB. With a great fridge if beers across the street and a new Wine and Spirits up the block it's super convenient.
This place is great! Price for gameplay is by the hour and includes everything from pin ball machines to arcade towers to console games. Every visit has definitely been fun!
Absolutely amazing and cheap place to go and have fun. They have so many arcade games. And it's not all the new stuff like Dave and Busters. Absolutely love this place
As a child of the 80s, this place is my mecca. My brother and I drove out to York from Philly just to go to this arcade after I saw it on youtube, and it was 1000000% worth it!! We walked in about 1pm and paid the 25 bucks for the all day play - and next thing we knew it was dark outside!! Glanced at the time and couldn't believe it was 6:30pm!! We played games from our childhood nonstop (and drank icees all afternoon) and still didn't even get thru even half of what we wanted! Guess we will just have
Amazing retro arcade!! An all day pass here was only $25 and you are allowed to leave and come back in the same day! We ended up staying here for almost four hours. You would probably end up being here longer if you played every game once! The man working there was so nice! If you are a pinball lover, this place is definitely for you. They even have the Stern leaderboards for you to login to your account. Cannot recommend this place enough
A most enjoyable affordable afternoon for a couple in their 60s. The owner and his staff made us feel right at home. May God bless this business as a safe haven for families for years to come.
This place is amazing if you love video games . They have everything in here. Absolutely everything. For all ages .I felt like a kid again when I visited the Timeline Arcade??Take your family
Great time with my family here. Could have stayed all night. Customer service was great. When an arcade game was not working, they came over right away and fixed it. Mix of old and new games. Many classic games I played as a child. Would recommend this to families and anyone looking for something to do on a rainy day or weekend.
Really fun place and fairly priced with lots of pinball and shooter options. The one thing I don't recommend is having parties here. The website makes it seem like you get a room separated in the back but it's this partially roped off are at the front of the arcade. It's a pretty small area. You can BYOB after a certain time of the evening when it's adults only. Had a great time and would consider going back
This is a fun stop on a date night after a few drinks around town. They charge by the hour which is nice. Plenty of pin ball machines and shooting games, I just wish they had air hockey or a few more games of that sort since you can get bored of the other options before your hour is up. Other than that it's a great place and I will visit again.
Really cool place, has lots of old school pinball and cabinet games. My favorite was the old consoles they had with a good selection of cartridge games to play
Awesome place full of Nostalgia. Staff was friendly and attentive to our Birthday party we held there. Pricing is awesome for regular play and parties. Update: still very fun but it seems a lot of machines need servicing.
Exactly what you would expect from an arcade. No shortage of upright cabinets ranging in age, an amazing selection of pinball, and many various of games. Definitely worth a visit.
We had a blast! Love the old school area with the original Nintendo!
Had plenty of pinball machines and some old school arcade games. Somehow it got boring after an hour. They charge by the hour which is not bad. If they sold some drinks I think this would be a very popular arcade.
Really fun and nice for people of all ages that like video games and this place definitely brings back child hood memory?s
Clean. Most things work well. Great selection. Def worth an hour of play !
My first time there, I had a problem. Owner personally reached out to me and offered me a fair and very reasonable resolution. Owner really cares about his business and customers. Will definitely be returning!
Excellent arcade full of classic games but lots of modern pinball!
Was excited to visit a place that claims to have a bunch of pinball machines. I understand it's a pay per hour which is fine, however, I made a request to have a look at which pinball titles were there and to make sure they were in working order before I paid. I was refused. I have seen other reviews about games being out of order or in poor condition, flippers not working etc so I just wanted to confirm that they had some games I wanted to play in working order. It was Tuesday at 5pm it was almost empty
Best Arcade structure. No tokens just keep playing until you win
Great value for playing old arcade machines, ski ball, and pinball!
Great place for both kids and adults. Kids love the freedom of running around and playing any game with out cards to Swipe. Adults is all about the nostalgic games.
Fantastic pinball spot! They constantly get new stern games so you can usefully count on this place whenever they come out. Not a whole lot of older pins but Radical and Elvira both work well. They also have a Halloween which is pretty rare, and also a Guns and roses.
Had a great time at Timeline Arcade! So awesome to play all the machines I played as a kid and a bunch I had never tried before!
This place was so fun! Came here on a random night with my husband and our friend, and we had a blast! Highly recommend pre-gaming before coming, they are BYOB. Decent price for unlimited gaming with a lot of options. Recommend you check it out!
Nice place, large selection and all of the machines were in good working order. One of the best DDR Extreme cabinets I've come across in a while!
Had a great time!! They have all the good games and it was fun to share that with my son.
This place is cool...!!! They have two nice sized rooms filled with arcade games. No quarters needed though. You are charged by the hour and It is a lot of fun...!!! The variety of games is amazing, as well. Way to many games to list. Another definitely positive thing about this arcade is the fact that 99% of the games work. All games appear to be very well maintained. Oh and they also have two areas of home video game consoles with lots of games, including seating. Very nice and interesting place to go. He
Kids were so excited to go and were greatly disappointed when we were told about policy change, Unfortunately, they changed their policy at both locations where you have to pay admission now, instead of only paying for the people actually playing games. They require adults to accompany children, so this is now crossed off our list of activities to do with the kiddos. Lost our business and many other families are not going anymore either because of this. Very sad. Shame the policy was changed.
This place is awesome! So much nostalgia and soo many games! Not just arcade! They have setup with console games and furniture just like you would have at home, even the furniture is to date!Way more then my husband, 10 years old son, and I expected! Will definitely be a place we frequent OFTEN! And $25 is worth the all day play pass!!!
Awesome collection- astounding mix of games. Price is super affordable!! Also love that they're BYOB at nights. What a blast from the past!! Atmosphere music was a bit loud so if you're trying to play Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution it can keep you from hearing the songs you're playing/dancing to!! But still a great experience :)
Really a fun experience trying out the arcade games!!
Love the old school vibes. Came here because we were in the area to celebrate an event and our table wasnt ready. Great price for an hour of "free play"!! Had a blast playing games that I havent seen since the 80's. One of the best parts of my celebration weekend. Thanks for having the vision.
This is basically my favorite arcade! I go to a lot of arcades to play pinball. Pinball arcades are actual destinations for me. I really love to play Guns and Roses here. I think something is always broke on it, but it's such a great game that I don't care if some of it is broke. I really love the hours here. Most arcades don't open this early, but since I work night shift I really enjoy playing after shift in the morning. I was very excited to get stickers the last time I was here. I hope to see more stic
I wouldn't go in there if they paid me. I take water pills and after the St. Patricks Day parade I was looking for a bathroom and I stopped and ask to use theirs and they told me pay the 10 dollar cover. I said you want me to pay 10 bucks just to use your bathroom. I said you got to be kidding. I told them I would never set foot in their place if they paid me. The guy at the door was being a real a****** about it
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
