Time to Spare Entertainment

Reviews Summary

Mixed experiences with notable extremes. Many praise the friendly staff, clean facilities, and fun atmosphere, especially for families and events. Positive highlights include attentive service, good lane conditions, and affordable packages. However, consistent complaints cite rude or incompetent staff, poor management, understaffing, and hygiene issues. Food quality receives mixed reviews, with some calling it overpriced or subpar. League bowling often restricts lane availability, frustrating casual visitors. While some adore the vibrant environment, others face service failures, cold food, or unprofessional behavior. Overall, enjoyment hinges heavily on staff interactions and timing.

Low end place nothing fancy. Good pricing package for 6 people: shoes, lane, LG popcorn that never made it to our table because they burned it but, they did substitute it, and a pitcher of your choice of beverage for $58.99. We also ordered Nachos $10.99. NACHOS ARE SUPPOSE TO HAVE CHEESE. LOOK AT THE PICTURE.

Tried to get the Started package and was told that they can't do that because the system wouldn't operate correctly. If that's the case then quit advertising it. Also, this place is supposed to be a smoke and vape free environment but employees were vaping in the office very frequently. Our lane was directly in front of the check in station.

Small gaming arcade with bowling. No more go carts, no mini golf, no axe throwing. Drove 50 minutes for this. Not worth my money. Made the most of it with my kid. Definitely won't be coming back.

Love Time to Spare. They do have some work to do though. More on the customer care side. Employees sitting around chatting a lot. Had to wait at the front desk, had to wait at the cafe, had to wait for somebody to fix a ball return, etc. Other than that, the lanes are great, great atmosphere, fun place.

Went on the weekend, had a great time! Service was amazing, they made a mistake with a food order but were so quick to fix it. Lanes were nicely maintained, bathrooms were clean people were respectful there too.

Today we celebrated our daughter?s 7th birthday. Time to spare was the perfect party place! Our host Kacey was amazing and very kind! The pizza was delicious. Bowling alley was very clean. Every employee we encountered was kind and happy to help. We had about 20 kids, 7 and under, and they handled our large party very well and were attentive. Well worth the money. We will be back in April for our son?s birthday, and back again in July, for our youngest daughter?s birthday. Thank you for helping make our dau

Don't come without calling. They block the whole place for league play. 2 times we've shown up without being able to play (even though league play was still not started and the majority of the lanes were empty). Once they "oil the lanes" they won't let others play. That's fine, I guess their niche is league games. But this is not a family friendly place for a casual game. The food is all not good. The arcade is terrible as well, half the games don't work.

Great place for bowlers. Great people work here too! Definitely recommend over a few others especially the crappy place with bone dry lanes in the woodlands - Bowtero bubble gum night club.????

Update - after spending a summer here with kids bowl free, I have to say how much I love this place. The owners and staff are really nice! Outside of the kids bowl free, bowling is not cheap if you aren't on a league. This place is worth the price and we will continue bowling after summer ends. My previous review: I chose Time to Spare for our kids bowl free summer. It was our first time there. I was surprised at how busy they were when we arrived about noon. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to get

Thank God we only have 2 more weeks of league here. We are league bowlers here and 1 particular manager constantly gives us a hard time to get lanes. We came up here to bowl practice before league he's got 13 open lanes with no one bowling on them because he'd rather socialize with tournament bowlers than do his job. The staff is great at this location other than the manager Alan, if he's there find somewhere else to bowl, just like we will be doing moving forward in league.

I take a girl that has a disability here every Wednesday and I absolutely love all the staff from the people up front and lahoma I can't say enough good things about this place I would absolutely refer anyone who wants to howl to go here. The staff always goes above and beyond.

Nice establishment! Place is clean & offers several activities. Employees are friendly, lanes are well maintained, great pro shop, organized bowling league, everything is a bit pricey but worth it. They even have well cared for kitties to talk to!

Came to visit with family and we ended up here for the afternoon. Bowling, food, arcade and axe throwing. Had the best time ever here. Axe throwing was harder than I thought, but very fun. Laholla was serving us and she is the absolute best!! She kept tabs on us, checking back to make sure we didn't need anything else, even when bowling was done and we were outside at the axe throwing area. Grandkids had a great time in the arcade, that is my granddaughter with all her claw machine wins. We all loved her. I

Dani at the front was very sweet and helpful, even helped me pick out what size ball to use. very sweet girl and fun place to come to bowl! 5 out of 5 stars for a great experience with great people! nice vibes.

Great hometown place!! Friendly people that make one feel welcome. Angel is the best!!! Pizza is good too!!

I love coming here! Always a great time and great environment! The staff are friendly and the food is delicious.

Excellent fun. We traveled from Spring area due to cost. It would have been $300 for 2 hours of booking for 6 people. TTS was 1/3 of the price WITH food!

Had a good time with the hubby around 2, not too crowded but full. The place was nice, clean, and respectful.

They have a kids bowl for free program over the summer! Super affordable for up to 4 kids, and 4 adults for 1 price for the entire summer. Must be before 6pm Mon-Fri. Kids loved the bowling and the arcade area. Super helpful staff. Prices arent too bad. Very well kept up place. Although if you plan to stay until close they, of course, are ready to get out of there at a quarter til ??

The owner of this business is super friendly, if his name is Ray. I am also impressed with all menu items? and my favorite is Philly Cheesesteak Wrap either Fried Ocra. Yum!

First time here. Brought 4 family members to bowl. Hadn't been bowling in 10 years and was surprised what a nice place this was. Very clean and the family had a great time. Only issue was that my wifes bowling ball (owned) got stuck at the end of the game and it took about 20 minutes to get the staff to simply turn the lane back on so the ball was returned. Not a huge issue and we will be back.

Some of the guys in the kitchen are popping bumps on their face and making food orders with NO GLOVES AND NOT WASHING HIS HANDS AFTER POPPING A ZIT ON HIS FACE !!!!! Also another guy was touching a folder with his gloves on and checking people out at register and not changing gloves and making food but the 2 women that were working were clean and not nasty like those 2 young guys are

Enjoyed bowling for $20 till 2am no limit. Play till they close. It don't get no better than that. Not to mention ladies are awesome in brining the food to where ur at. Dj plays along & makes time welcoming & fun.

Vr broken. Axe throwing unavailable. Bowling unavailable. I called ahead and was not told any of these things. But after they told me bowling was unavailable I got to sit for an hour and watch the empty lanes where nobody was bowling for a full hour I guess in anticipation of a league. I don't know why I couldn't play a few games while the waiting for the league but they shut down all bowling 2 hours prior to leagues starting for some reason. I even called ahead and now I hate this place. Go anywhere else.

We got Pogo Passes for everyone for Christmas and had such a blast bowling at Time to Spare! I wasn't familiar with this place before- this is a clean bowling alley with great concessions, and they also have VR reality games, an arcade, and you can add on axe throwing for a really good price too! Can't wait to come back again next month and bowl for free with our passes again. We only had to pay for shoe rental and get one free game a month for each passholder!! (Used the code DecDeal at pogopass.com to get

If I could, I would rate more than 5 stars! The establishment and employees are amazing! We had a wonderful night!!! We will definitely be back! Often!!!

Quality lanes. A large selection of food and drinks. Food is not that good. Very strict rules in alcohol etc. Call ahead to make sure 3/4 of the lanes aren't reserved for leagues! Better value than the Main Event type venues.

Lady at the bar clearly doesn't want to work there and takes it out on the customers.. THEY DO NOT STAY OPEN TILL 2:00am (on a weekend) even though their page says they do.

We love this place! It's always a great time and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful!

My son and I went here for a date night. Very friendly staff, we had the best time. He is 11, so of course the go carts is what he wanted to do. But, we bowled as well 14.00 for all night bowl not a bad price. Food there is good. They have a grill to cook the meats. A little pricey, beer is 3.00 Overall a good fun time with the little man.

What a nice place ! So many things to do. Not just Bowling. All the staff's super nice. Pro shop guy was very knowledgeable.??????

Really liked this bowling alley, the lady who was waiting on our table was so so nice and took great care of us

Wow Justin the mechanic just made my kids night! He took time out two times helping my kiddo learn how to throw a curved ball. He was so amazing and sweet! Thank you Justin!!!

I want to thank time to spare for hosting my son's birthday party We were there Friday between 6 to 8 Angel was amazing and the gentleman I think he's a Latino guy was amazing I apologize I forgot his name but he was amazing we're getting us set up helping us out I definitely recommend this place to everyone it was a worker there that kind of gave me a little issues but I'm so grateful that angel helped and made us feel so very welcome we will definitely be coming back very soon I had out of town guest that

Great bowling alley and the staff make it a lot of fun. They gave away prizes for hitting colored pins and the atmosphere is friendly. The arcade is fun, but several of the games were not working. Food is tasty but not fancy, about what you expect. Overall a fun outing with the family and a great spot for a party or just hanging out.

First time there and definitely wont be my last. We had a blast!

Friendly service and a lot of alleys to bowl! Music was weird lol

This where we like to bowl! Clean, attentive employees. Guard rails per individual, as needed\requested when paying. We also use the "Kids Bowl Free" app. Makes taking all my grands, 3-14 affordable. Clean, fair food prices. Buy a picture of soda, the second one is free. I like the shoes, comfortable & more stylish than the "old style bowling shoes" ??. Velcro too. More convenient. Plenty of space in your area. The environment is Great! Go, have yourself a memory making moment! ??

My husband and I came here for a date night recently. We bowled two games for $25, they also offer a first responder and military discount which I thought was really nice. They have a ton of lanes and plenty of bowling balls for everybody. My husband got a beer and I got a mixed drink, it was great and really strong. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely use this spot again

Had a great time when To celebrate 21st birthday did the go karts gamer the bar shop pool darts shuffleboard bowling and food was great!

My wife went with some friends last night to this bowling alley and she came home entirely too drunk to be driving. She is extremely sick this morning, we think she may have gotten alcohol poisoning. This is absolutely ridiculous. Whoever your bartender was last night needs to be fired immediately. She has children. I understand she is an adult, but the establishments should be watching what they serve customers. I was told it was an older woman by one of her friends. I will be sure to let everyone know if

Great owner and a friendly staff. Thanks for all that you do.

Super fun. Attentive staff and good food.

This is our go-to spot for birthday parties of all ages! They always treat us well and make sure we're having a great time. Prices are fair, and the bowling is a blast. The manager on-site during our recent visit, Allen, went above and beyond to ensure our group of 17 was well taken care of and having a good time. Can't recommend this place enough!

We have been bowling league at this bowling alley for a few years now and never had an issue until they hired Angel. She doesn't know the 1st thing about being a bartender or server. We asked her if she had a certain beer and she stated I don't know and just stood there. Rarely came to take our order and would forget what we ordered half the time. She tried charging us for stuff we didn't order. It took almost an hour for her to figure out our tab after we were done bowling for the night. She was frustrate

Buy a package before you attempt to buy food. We bought food first and ended up paying more. The servers are nice but the people working the desk are very rude. Bowling is just like anywhere else. Billiards is nice. The game room is small. The gokarts are on a very small track and only go about 10 mph. Putt putt set up is okay. But still rather small. The biggest thing this place has is a parking lot and bowling alley.

I've had some bad servers in my time, but this young lady Angel took the cake! We were in there yesterday, it wasn't busy,, and this little girl from being rude, more worried about her phone than our food (which was cold) put a head on my beer and it overflowed as she slammed it on the table, and arguing loudly enough we ALL could here. It put a sour taste in my mouth it's bad when you have employees that bring a whole buisness down

Drove a good way to bowl, made sure it was open and not busy. Everything checked out so we got here and when arrived half the place was empty, we were told we could not get a lane because there was ?league bowling only tonight? pretty frustrating it was posted nowhere not to mention over half of the lanes were open!

Wanted to bowl on a Sunday. They had a tournament in town. We were aware of this and called ahead for lane availability after the tournament fully understanding there would also be a Sunday night league that would also be bowling. On the call, customer service rep explained all this but also stated there would be open bowling lane availability and there would be no wait. Packed up the family and drove 40 MINUTES. Arrive and go to the counter to get a lane. Was told there would be no lane availability until

A great family environment that is comfortable with a good variety of activities to choose from. They offer go-karts, bowling, Putt-Putt & an arcade as well as a good menu and full bar. It's a smaller, family type business that's a little off the beaten path, but worth the drive to Conroe.

Had a coming home party for my great neice from the navy Had a wonderful party

Our bowling lane messed up a total of 6 times and the customer service just sucked, they didn't handle the situation properly. Don't recommend just go to Main Event.

My wife and I were there a few weeks ago when the power went out and we were told that the bowling prices on Friday were $1.00 a game. Now we are told that that price is only for senior citizens. We got that price that day when the lights went a few weeks ago. So how come we can't get it now? We aren't seniors but yet we got that $1.00 a game price last time. I think someone doesn't know what they are doing at the front counter

Almost every single arcade game was broke????? they should be free if you're not going to fix them. The employees were great though. Bowling was okay. $38 for 2 pizzas which is absolutely stupid????? We will probably be back to bowl, but won't be paying for the games or ordering food??

We always have a wonderful time here. Anytime there's any type of issue the staff are available and willing to quickly rectify the problem.

The roughness of the floors caused my lead up to be off, paid for unlimited and they cut our lane off 10 minutes before close while others still finished their games. Had to ask multiple people for a ball return since they closed our lane early even they we paid to bowl till close. Bartender was good, outside of that the whole thing gave an unorganized vibe. One cashier seemed to not know what he was doing at all. Ordered nachos and wad given fries instead. Overall will not return .

TTS Is probably my favorite Bowling Alley to this day. Plenty of lanes to bowl on. There are different activities not just bowling. The pro shop gives you plenty of advice no matter your range of experience. Waitresses are top notch. Food is prepared great and the menu is updated daily. They also have their usual menu as well. The 1 thing that I recommend is to schedule ahead of time on league nights. Because there is a good chance even though there's a lane that looks open, it's not. It's required for ever

Absolutely Amazing Family Time! We celebrated my MIL 60th Bday ????! Great Food and Customer Service ???

Place was clean, fair priced, and overall Fun. Colton was our server and provided better service than most 5 star restaurant I've reviewed.

Great bowling alley/Entertainment place. Recommend for a family night out.

So noisy. the price was good for seniors

Great, family friendly environment, especiall after 11. The food was good and had lots of fun with my brother and nephew. Only thing i would change is the cost per hour, a little expensive just to bowl in two lanes but it is what it is. Friendly customer service fun games, and the bartender was very nice and knows how to pour a pitcher. Great job

Sign on door says open at 1000 on Saturday?s, but there is no one here!!!! We planned our sons birthday party based on this time. Very disappointing.

I want to shout out 4 workers that have made my league experience amazing in this bowling house. Dani and Hannah at the front desk (they work so hard to keep it running smooth on league nights!) Angel in the bar (best bartender I've dealt with!) And Sierra (best server in the house. Always on the hustle!) Yall should always come here to bowl when they are on shift!

Had a great experience here, always will. Staff is great, Samantha was awesome whenever we needed someone to see us strike on a green pin. Overall 10/10 experience

Always fun!! The place is nice and clean, April is great at helping is plan birthday parties! Our family has a great time every time we go!

We were there for a scheduled party. We got there and things were not ready but they did fix it as soon as possible. Food was good but we never saw our server except once. Had to ask for the soda that was included in package after we had gotten our pizza. We did speak to someone when the party was over and they did apologize for everything. All in all I will go back but they definitely need to train staff (servers) a bit better. We would of ordered more food and bar drinks but she never came over.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Facilities were clean and maintained. Good food selection and prices.

Always a great place and very nice people working there

Had an amazing time! The place was poppin! Tons of families but the restrooms and public areas were spotless! Food was good, drinks were good! Bowling and pool were great! Staff was awesome! Really had a great Mother?s Day! Loved the packages, we will be back!

Went for a birthday party and it took nearly 2 hours for us to get the pizza. After we got the food my husband went to get a cup of water and the young SUPER skinny girl working was carrying popcorn and one of the containers bent and she spilled some popcorn. She proceeded to slam the containers down on the counter and angrily started making a cup of water and then felt the need to have an attitude saying that she was the only one working and she was working a 15 hour shift. I responded to her that I work 1

They wouldn't let me drink my water. Said I had to pay for their delectable milk at the bar. We can't expect everyone to research these milk proteins but we can assure the men and Asians about the courteous ragers bowling across the continent searching for God's of tomorrow.

Lahoma was FANTASTIC. She kept us laughing the entire time and was so positive and attentive. It really made our date that much more special and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone so much for treating us with so my kindness at our visit! Can't wait to come back!

The only reason not 5 stars is the price of axe throwing. Outside of that, this is a fantastic spot. It has all the features of main event but more family environment and lower cost. We have been several times now and all the food we have ordered has been decent. The bar allows parents to enjoy a good selection of beers and (nice and strong) cocktails. Staff are friendly and accommodating . Thank you guys..we will be back soon.

Went today on Father?s Day to enjoy the day with my family. Not the greatest experience at all. I could see they were understaffed. Ok not a problem. But to see what a great place this could be for the city of cut and shoot, if ran by the right management team. Unfortunately your manager Allen could care less of this place. When an employee asked about the pitchers of margaritas he looked at her and said we don't have them anymore. I went to ask him a question and he just walked off. The poor bartender and

I just came here to say, Ms. PEGGY IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! They were a little busy last night and did everything with a smile when I know it was chaotic. She's truly a gem and because of her and y?all?s LOW prices, I will be back!

This is from our bowling experience. Awesome time with the family. First time going and very inviting staff, which was refreshing and made us feel very welcomed. We got the starter package which was a great deal since we are a family of 6. We got our lane and even the 3 and 4 yr old played and there bumpers came up for them every time, with a ramp readily available. Our table had the pitcher of soda and popcorn with cups for us all. Can't wait to go back and maybe try the axe throw, pool, beer and mma, ki

Used to love this place but not any more. We called ahead asking if they had lanes, they did, but they failed to mention that they had a shoe shortage. We got a lane immediately but the worker checked our shoes that we arrived in and chose who he was going to provide shoes for. We had to scavenge for balls. Ended up getting a few from a sweet lady bowling with her family. Still don't have the appropriate sizes. Kind of ruined the night considering it's super hard and a safety issue bowling without proper

I had the worst experience of my entire life. It was so embarrassing! I don't know where the staff learned their Customer Service Skills but they are NON-EXISTENT! All I did was ask 4. The Rangers game to be turned on the TV. After that the woman proceeded to insult me in my family. The situation escalated and she got in my face trying to physically assault me, And verbally assault all of us in the process. It's the worst family experience i've ever had. The staff are completely delusional. They have no re

Always have a blast when we go! Great place to bring the kiddos or just have an ADULT night! Super fun! Always friendly employees and great good!

Great place for out family to hang out. Food is good and more that just typical bowling alley food, sometimes my wife and I go there for lunch instead of the local fast food places. We really enjoy the staff, they can get slowed when busy but the servers tirelessly try to do their best when busy and understaffed. I'm glad to have TTS right down the road!

The bowling alley was decent. We didn't get a try to ask throwing because my Littles were too small but the arcade was highly disappointing and not worth your time or money. None of the games worked and it didn't give you tickets as it supposed to. The food I would rate at two.

Have bowled here twice and both times were for tournaments. This place has a great atmosphere and the lanes are pretty good as well. Only issue we have was slight water dripping from the ceiling. Already made plans to come back multiple times. Plenty to do for the kids as well. My kiddo had a blast!!

Lane broke 5 different times, they fixed it but each time but acted like it was such an inconvenience. To worried about everyone behind the counter being able to eat. Got cut off at the bar after 2 drinks ridiculous. Overpriced watered down drinks and still didn't want to sell a third. We quit drinking, left half of our horrible pizza and will definitely be going somewhere else.

I've had so much fun here!! Great place to bowl

Great atmosphere. Family friendly

Prices are fair. The axe throwing is really well done. The arcade wasn't working and the staff at the front desk seemed uninformed on basic policies and procedures. Like age limits and how to handle the paperwork. Service was spot on and the food was good too.

I would give 0 stars of I could. Don't. Ike here! Called yesterday to make a reservation for axe throwing... "You don't need a reservation, you can just come in.". Cool. Drive 40 minutes and are told they are full because of a reservation (axe throwing area is completely empty). I say we called yesterday to make a reservation. They say you can only make a reservation 48 hours in advance. And they didn't have this reservation when we called they made it today. They can make a reservation today but I could

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
