Reviews Summary

The majority of reviews are extremely negative, with frequent complaints about broken machines that take money without working, rigged prize mechanisms, and poor maintenance. Many customers feel scammed and advise others to avoid the arcade. A few positive mentions note working machines and cleanliness during their visits, but these are outliers. The most common issues include malfunctioning games, dirty conditions, and unfair practices like shortchanging customers. While some appreciate additions like pinball machines, the overall consensus highlights significant operational problems and dissatisfaction with the arcade's reliability and fairness.

Customer Reviews

SCAM STAY AWAY!!!Absolute garbage machines are always broken. Half don't even take change cuz idiots stuff nickles and dimes in there. Complete disappointment. Games took over 7$ and did nothing as far as even acknowledging someone deposited money. Candy machine is always bare I had to shake it to get the candy accessible by the claw that only works half the time. It's play till u win but still.

Change machine robbed me of 2 quarters after me regretfully putting in a $10 bill, only receiving $9.50. Then I played Gravity Hill and won the grand prize, but it never gave it to me and it said, ?you'll make it next time,? so the owner doesn't take care of his machines. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the stacker major prize was not super rigged since I won it the last time visited. Today was the day I got scammed on Gravity Hill and robbed on the change machine. This p

Very mediocre place along with it's other location(Lakeforest mall), but I am happy they recently added pinball machines. The coin game is not terrible either.(Won a bunch of coins last time I was there!)

Cold outside so we thought we would take our kids to the mall. Stopped in to time out zone.....huge disappointment! Tried to get change, wouldnt except a ten dollar bill, put in a $5 and gave me $4.50 ??. Should have been our sign right there. Boys played on a couple of the rides, 2 of the other rides had signs on the screen that they were not working ??, then my husband put $1 in a machine to get a ball the boys were wanting him to get and the game took our dollar ???? two teenage boys walked in to play t

Machine just take your money and don't work . If you win some games they are set up to never allow the prize to drop. Stay away.

The place leaves broken machines in therem doesn't repair them and just collects the customers money when they come in to try and play on Machines. Not sure why the mall has a place that conducts business this way.

Worst arcade ever! Half the machines don't work and just take your money. Some only work if you put the change in one side and not the other. Air hockey the pucks are stuck and don't come out. Complete waste of money.

Mostly skill cranes with some video games and other machines mixed in. Most if not all were in working condition at the time of my visit and the storefront was fairly clean.

Cute little place for smaller kids. Wish they put more effort in the arcade though. I like the vibe of the place and I will continue to visit. Hopefully yall will upgrade it some more!

Half of the games here are broken and the other half eat your money and don't let you play. It's so disgusting and dirty it's not even funny

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
