TIME LOOP ARCADE

TIME LOOP ARCADE

Reviews Summary

Most reviews praise the arcade for its nostalgic retro games, fun atmosphere, and affordable pricing, with many highlighting the variety of activities like pinball, laser tag, and mini-golf. Parents and kids enjoy the unlimited play model, and several mention friendly staff. However, a few negative reviews cite inconsistent policies (especially for young children), occasional rudeness from staff, and maintenance issues like broken games, dirty restrooms, or poor AC. The venue’s charm outweighs its rough edges for most, making it a popular spot for families and gamers.

This is a great place to go. They have so many games and activities to choose from that it makes it fun for kids and playing the variety of retro games & pinball also makes it fun for adults. I also like the fact that everything is free play after paying the initial play fee so you can plan a trip here and already know how long you will be playing for. He has good prices, snacks & non-alcoholic drinks & he takes cash or credit card as well. It's fun, give it a try.

This place was a lot of fun!!!! It did look really sketchy, but we spent 2 hours here just hanging out waiting for our flight. We enjoyed it. The price wasn't bad either.

A great variety of classic arcade games, pinball, and some rare and hard to find ones, too! All were working and well maintained and included in the hourly price. The owner runs the place and was super helpful. We only paid for an hour because we had some younger kiddos (7 & 12 years old) who got a bit bored without access to Fortnight or Roblox (sigh?) I could have definitely spent at least 3 more hours here. There was also mini golf and laser tag out back for an additional fee. A definite stop our next t

First time visitors, heard about this little gem through family. It was how they described it, a TON of classic games. Paid $10 per person for unlimited play on all games including mini golf. It was hot in there, some sections were cooler than others but overall it could use a better AC system or more fans especially with the heat outside. It would be good to visit when the temp isn't so high, you could enjoy the outside activities more.

Would not recommend. Without going into a drawn out detailed book on here we are not there long and ended up having to go into a back room that was very small and a bit sketchy looking all because I didn't want to pay an additional 20$ for my toddler and I to literally stand around and do nothing. My 11 year old son said the games were boring but my 6 year old daughter said it was ok.. the bathroom was very very dirty. My son asked as we were leaving to never go back. I'm sure others love it but it was a ve

We had an absolute blast. The wave of nostalgia hits so sweetly. They had all your favorite games from back in the day and so many more you completely forgot about! The place is a hole in the wall but the guy that took care of us was quite pleasant. Besides the games there's also disc golf, nerf wars, mini golf, and a billiards table. It's pay by the hour/day so no tokens or cards or anything to keep track of. I highly recommend this place whether you just need to kill some time, spend a day with the kids,

Love this place. Tons of old and newer games. Pinball games was incredible. Worth every dime to get out and have fun: update 4-2-24 its still an awesome place! The pinball machines are worth the stop alone!

A dream! This is the most incredible place and a real hidden gem. Shhhh don't let the secret out. A fantastic value and TONS I mean TOOOONNNSSS of vintage games. Some I've never even seen before. There were a few broken ones I hope they can get fixed or removed to clean up any non working ones. But I am definitely coming back. People mention the musky smell- but I LOVE the smell. It's like the smell of an old book. It adds to the charm. Seriously loved our experience there today. The owner is super helpful

I was curious about this place, I'm new to the area and went exploring with friends yesterday...This place looks like a closed down dump from the outside, but was so frikin fun! It's completely packed with arcade games, play all you want for 10$ hr or 20$ all day....bring some booze with you and get your game on....will definitely be back!! I HOPE THEY REFACE THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING SO IT LOOKS MORE ENTICING! I think they would get more business if it didn't look like an abandoned shack from the front....

This place is awesome! Me, my 22 year old son and my 7 year son had so much fun n! And it's an affordable price! If you are ever in the area stop there for all kinds of arcade games. They have everything!

We love the fact that we have an arcade in town! AND it's free play! You pay by the hour or for the entire day and you can play whatever you want. Epic! I'd give this place 5 stars if the AC worked and the games weren't so close together. When I say it is packed full of games, it is packed. The aisles are very narrow so if people are playing, forget about it. I think if you took out a row of games and spread things out, you'd be golden. It is a bit musky inside too, probably from lack of AC. Maybe spray the

Had my sons birthday party here, the kids enjoyed it. It's all older games, but the kids didn't care. The laser tag looked fun, it's not just standing around spamming the trigger. Their set up limits your ammo and the number of hits you can take. They also sell table top games.

They have a lot of classic arcade games and my kids had a great time. They also have several indoor and outdoor 1 par miniature golf holes, video game consoles, pool table, etc. We went for 1 hour and had barely scratched the surface. We will definitely go back.

Nostalgic, inexpensive, and free play. Visited on a stormy evening for an hour. Was definitely musky. I didn't find the customer engagement pleasant especially on a slow night. However, there were plenty of Fun activities In & outdoors and benches to sit outside. It's a win for the little ones.

It's great. Has lots of games to choose from and laser tag. He makes you feel at home. Plus they have a really cool lil shop with any kind of card or board game you can think of. Its oldschool cool. My group loves it.

Nice place alot of older arcade games. He has some Warhammer and DnD stuff in the back just ask the man at the counter

I really enjoyed this place! They have lots of great arcade boxes spanning from some of the oldest (asteroids) to some of the later ones (Killer Instinct) and all of then in working order. Racers, shooters, pinball machines, to Xbox and retro NES emulators. My only cautionary I'll say is the men's bathroom toilet was quite dirty (I'm not sure it actually worked since I refrained from using it once I saw it) BUT the sink water was fine and there was liquid soap provided (no towels or dryer).

Played mini Golf and some arcade games, we had a blast and will definitely be back! This place is a hidden gem, like going back to the 80's. FYI it will be a little warm in the arcade because of all the games so wear something breathable.

Whole family had a really good time! The only issue was the bathrooms like other comments have said, BUT it is an old building so I personally don't hold that against them. Over all its a really cool place and the pricing is great!

Cool little place, seems like a hidden gem in Kingwood. Lots of great pinball and arcade cabinets to choose from and they feel well maintained. The retail area has some great deals on stuff like dice, comics, and Warhammer models.

This is a great place to visit . 10$ For an hour and unlimited play or 20$ for all day and unlimited play . I come her a couple times a year with the kids and of all the old arcade places out there this one in particular truly makes me feel like I've gone back in time . I appreciate the nostalgia the ownership brings to the community .

So this place is cool. But it could use some cleaning. The restrooms were dirty as many have said. I had visted a few times because they have a good warhammer selection. And after that I decided to bring my family. Was fun and I was told I didn't have to pay for my 3 year old. Decided to come a second time with some one else behind the counter and when I asked about not paying for my daughter I got a pretty rude response of "every one has to pay to play". I get it maybe it was a one time thing. But the atti

Fun Vintage video games! Fantastic for the entire family. We will return. I will give it 5 stars when they get rid of the musty smell.

I'm an ''70s '80s kid. Brings back a lot of memories. The owners really a nice guy. He does a great job on the upkeep of all the equipment. Has miniature golf and several other events outside. Places packed full of arcade games. Very kid friendly just not growing up kids. I recommend to make a trip after 5:00 weekdays you can have the whole arcade to yourself. Saturdays are extremely busy Sundays Little more laid back.

Not expensive and tons of classic games. Great experience

Brings it back to the 80s environment. They have a awesome variety of arcade games along with mini golf and a bunch of other games that I have not got to try out. They offer candy and beer. This looks like a place I want to hold my birthday at. I love it and I can definitely say with confidence its way better than cidercade. Good job guys. The environment the games and all the potential it has to be the best place ever. Its worth it everyone!

Time Loop is pay-by-the-hour with tons of fun stuff to play, all set to free play. I spent most of my time on the pinball machines, but there are a lot of other options too. They have countless retro arcade cabinets and a few newer games, it's like a maze with fun surprises around every corner. There's also fun stuff to do outside but we usually hang in the arcade when we go. One thing I love is that it's just a place to play games - there are no cards or tickets or prizes. You can tell that the owner does

This is a really fun place.Lots of old games from years ago. Big variety. The reason I didn't give it a 5 was because of the conditions in the Men's restroom which I hope have been corrected.

Games were cool and nostalgic but the place smelled horrible. The restrooms were extremely disgusting!! The man working the night shift was super stinky..! He also kept staring at my 12 year old niece and touched my thigh inappropriately.

It's such a cool concept and I want to love this place so much. We recently had a party here and the owner seemed super uptight. The kids attention was called for being too loud at one point. It is super hot inside and the bathrooms are dreadful. It's clear that they haven't been cleaned in ages. Overall a cool place but go with an open mind and low expectations.

Had so much fun with the variety of games they had! Great place to take kids, a date night or family time. Syd was super friendly and helpful.

Had a good time until my child slipped and fell in urine in the bathroom and hurt herself. I was then told by Sydney Jones. That the place is over 50 years old and it was not urine in the floor, but water from a sink overflowing which was not true because there was no water in the sink and no water on while she was in the restroom. The smell of urine was evident from outside the restrooms. If the restrooms are in the deplorable state I witnessed there is no way the games are wiped down at anytime. This is h

Just visited for an hour with my 11 year-old son, and we had a blast together! $10 for an hour of unlimited play and use of outside minigolf and other activities. We could have stayed for much longer. They definitely have all of the classic games, all functional, and then a ton of new games as well, including modern console systems with big screens to play the latest games. There is a new 4-way Pac Man that was probably my favorite. My son's favorite was guitar hero. Quite a few new pinball machines, like G

Had an amazing time a few weeks ago, and I meant to leave a review then and will be back soon. Have told many friends about how great this place is/was and they plan to go as well. Definitely check it out, you will enjoy every minute. No matter what decade you were born in, you will enjoy yourself and the great character of this place.

Great arcade, the atmosphere was quiet and calming there was a diverse variety of games and game systems, the only issue was the air conditioning didn't seem to be working right and there was a lot of wasps outside.

This Arcade Palace is amazing! I invited my two brothers to come and play mini golf and arcades. Such a wonderful place and the people who work there are super nice and informatively. Lots of fun games both indoors and out! I didn't even want to leave but my brothers had to go. I will Definetly recommend this place to my friends and family and I for sure will be going back, even if I go alone! So much to explore at this wonderful establishment. Thank you again Time Loop Arcade for having us!

The owners are super cool folks and very patient with young kids' birthday parties. A birthday party at this place is something that a 30- or 40-something dad will NOT want to miss. Retro video games and pinball machines galore and no need for coins, credits, etc. You pay a fee for the time that you are there, and you can play the games as much as you like! I have not played laser tag there, but I watched my kids play several rounds. The arena is pretty awesome with lots of space and lots of structures for

Pricing not bad for an hour of free play but the guys restroom felt like going to a truck stop that hasn't cleaned the restroom in years. The toilet looked like it had brown stuff over following. If there was a sign that said out of order cool but there wasn't a sign. My and my son had to run out of the restroom to catch some air.

Flat fee, fun variety of games to play. If you're in to all types of video games from old to new, this is your place. They have it all in one place for one price. You can pay one cheap price for all day play (you can leave and return) or you can pay by the hour. I recommend anything over an hour you pay for all day. They also have laser tag and miniature golf for a separate cost. Definitely the place for gamers at heart.

Great atmosphere that is nostalgic, yet appealing to the younger generation. My 9 year old loved it, and so did my wife and I. They have trading cards, snacks, drinks available for purchase. Laser tag and minigolf in the back as well as tables outside for card games etc. Perfect for birthdays.

We went for date night and had a great time. It was a lot of fun playing games I haven't played in a billion years. When we went, the place was very quiet. I would recommend going at off hours for sure. Also, the price was very fair.

Tons of great, vintage games where I spent a lot of money and time when I was a kid. Ivan Stewart's Off Road is a gem. The place looks rough but it adds to its character. Great experience.

I have driven by this place numerous times and finally went today. Lots of games brought me back to my childhood, and I loved it. We will definitely be back soon! Also don't forget to check out the additional games the owner has towards the rear of the business behind the mini-golf.

My wife and I had a great time. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of arcade games and pinball machines inside. Fairly priced and worth the visit. A few of the games are a little run down, but that's my only complaint.

Old school. Nostalgic. Kinda dingy, but it's part of the charm. The guy working seemed pretty chill. I brought in my kids and nephew for a good time. A few games had issues, but we're talking about 30 year old gaming systems. Worth the price.

Pretty cool place if you're nostalgic for the arcade scene of yesteryear. Can't speak to the mini golf, as I've never tried it. I was told it to do the laser tag because the area was fairly small, and hope this has changed since I believe they are moving to a larger venue. My problem? Sticky buttons. They have a couple of cabinets set up with loads of fighting games on it so this isn't too much problem, and I really only remember it on the street fighter cabinet. I really like this place, staff is nice, al

Great place for kids and their parents. Less so if you get around on a cane. Unnavigable if you're in a wheelchair. They have tons of arcade machines, the bit worse for wear. Contra game I really wanted to relive from my youth had a joystick that only understood up or sideways, not the nuance of the diagonal shot. Another game had a stiff button that was throwing me off, and I kept switching characters on a rampage game trying to find controls I liked. They do have plenty of non arcade games. Didn't eve

I love this place. The staff is always incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. Also it is incredibly cheap. Instead of paying per game you pay for an allotment of time. When I was there an hour only cost me $8. Also the amount of games is vast to say the least with more games being added every month.

You 80's kids need to check this place out. It is a small place for all the old games we grew up on. The owner did tell us he is moving to a bigger place. A wide variety of games like pinball, dugout, lots of shooty games, centipede, and so many more. You can pay for certain hours of play or pay $20 to play all day. Lazer tag and mini golf to boot. The place it's in now is dark and old but still fun.

While this store offers a lot it lacks organization, cleanliness, and feels very cramped. You can most tabletop rpg items, minis, and card games but it will take some time to fine what you're looking for. Arcade can be fun so can laser tag, but is best left for when specials are available. Overall worth a visit to see if this game shop is your cup of tea.

Place was OK. Something fun to do when you have time. Some machines are Frankensteined together to make them work. I was happy - but dude clean your bathrooms. I walked in to a toilet room that made the nastiest stinkiest port-o-john look clean. The flies even wanted to get away. They host parties for children here and OMG I can't imagine some dad going into the bathroom with their kid and seeing a steaming bowl of un-flushable poop soup like the one I confronted. For the love of all humanity - keep your r

Awesome place! Owner is really helpful and informative. This is by far one of the most entertaining places I have been to. Huge selection of arcade games. Pool table, darts, and ping pong. If you like board games then this is it. Stocks most every board game you could imagine!

Great family place, friendly staff. My son's birthday party was great, and our guests are going to come play again! Definitely a hidden gem. Thanks Time Loop

This place is amazing. The owner makes you feel right and home and has a ton of variety. If you are looking for a place to go to get out of the house and chill this is it. Brings backs tons of memories playing the games I grew up with and some new ones. Also if you are in to pinball they got some great ones here!

Awesome, fun, and affordable! My family had my sons 10 year olds birthday party here and we all loved it. We will definitely be back soon. Better than Main event in our opinion.

Good place for the kids that is affordable and they enjoy it! Love all the old school games and the hourly rate. Would be nice if it had a bit more light and fresh air.... Gets kinda stuffy.

Had a great time playing pinball and arcade games, friendly and fun place. Saw folks in the back playing D&D, they have mini-golf and laser tag. Will definitely go back and bring the kids. Was a fun local date night!

Place is great! We enjoyed it playing some retro games. If you haven't been it's Def a must go. I could spend hours there but the ac is the only thing I disliked. A little hot in July inside.

Very inexpensive, a lot of fun games. Older games (some may not work 100%), but some VERY good pinball machines, a nice new 18 hole mini golf course, and extremely nice owner. Will frequent this place often.

Great place to take your kids to have fun for a very reasonable price! A great selection of games, and even a nerf gun area! So happy we found this place! We will be back for sure!

I come here with my boyfriend several times and we LOVE playing on all the arcade machines, for the price they offer. Our personal favorite to play on is the Fighter cabinet, then picking the Puzzle Fighter, its competitive and super fun to play! They also have mini golf for nice days, lazer tag, board games, modern games, pinball machines, and D&D to play. They sell snacks and refreshments if needed and even sell figurines, cards, paint, and some table games. It's a great place for a date then getting ice

Just left there about an hour ago. Fun games. Cool vibe. I'll be back. In the past, I've never been able to beat The Simpsons arcade game because it's so difficult. Finally beat it today because of the unlimited lives ??.

Never go here on one thing he was like just connect the two wires and it was gonna rain on that day too. And the bathrooms had spiders and webs in them. For how much he charges he should hire someone to clean the bathrooms.

Just finished some combat laser tag with my group of 13 people. We all had a blast and will definitely be back. After the games I heard a few people in my group say that they will never go back to main event because this laser tag has made the main event one seem lame.

Would of loved to play there but the entrance smelled of mildew. As we were walking out someone asked if he could help. I told him our parties issue (smelled of mildew) He asked if I've been through out the whole arcade. I couldn't be in there for 3 minutes and I have normal lungs. My wife has asthma and mildew for even 20 minutes would be terrible for her! I'm pretty sure a beer that was knocked over did not make that smell bro! Seems like it was flooded and not remodeled.

So my nieces and my husband and I were there and the night guy decided to be rude to her?. We actually left because I was about to become very rude for him addressing my niece when all she was doing was having fun she lost her grand mother this week and I was trying to cheer her up but I decided to leave because he was out of line for saying bluntly ?go play somewhere else ?

Owner was indignant about us arriving early to set up for a birthday party! We had just walked in the door and he immediately rudely told us we couldn't come in without an arm band! We were trying to explain that we were here for our grandson?s party and were waiting for our daughter-in-law to bring in the birthday stuff. He continued to tell us that we could not start til 5:00 which was 15 minutes away. He said do you want to start now and end earlier than 7:00? We had no intentions of starting early but

I usually try to promote local community businesses, but struggle with this one. I was treated very disrespectfully. Owner was very rude and dry and insistent that I had to pay for myself and my young 3 yr old grandson, even if we just stood inside the doorway and waited. What are parents supposed to do,...just drop off 8 yr olds and leave them there? I don't think so!!I'm very sorry but the owner was extremely rude and almost glad when we left to go to another gaming facility 15 min away, that actually al

Endless arcades upstairs and down....much bigger than it looks. Laser tag was pretty cool. There were for of us...me and my boyfriend and my 11 yr old son and his friend, we all had fun and everyone was nice.

I use to be a faithful customer with my kids and always suggested this place to everyone I know but not so much now. I came in this summer with my kids as usual and I was reminded that my year old could not play since I didnt pay for him lol. Now I get it nothing is free but seriously im sure my one year old is really going to scam them and take up so much play time from others. I did appreciate how this was handled and emailed them with no response. Good thing Chuck E. Cheese is play by the hour now and ju

Super fun and cool and you should go. Owners are nice and the games are fun, arcade and laser tag. It's a great place to go to work your friends and loved ones.

Imagine a good arcade with a ton of video games. Now imagine being able to play them all without having to feed them quarters or tokens. This place is a venue and that is exactly how it works. Pay the cover to get in and all the games are in free play mode. Great weekly specials too.

It's cool. Its 10.00 per person per hr But you can play all the games but a hr. Passes by so quickly.

My friend and I went mostly for the video arcade, and we weren't disappointed. The arcade had a wide selection of games, and many of the cabinets were the authentic originals. We definitely plan on returning.

The focus is on the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, etc. Not so much on tabletop gaming or anything like that. I still meet every week here to play DND but overall I preferred it when the arcade was smaller and there was more than 3 tables in the whole store.

Checked the place out with a friend and loved every second. The gentleman who worked that day was very helpful and welcoming. We can't wait to go again because of the great prices and fun atmosphere.

Tried to buy a board game April 2017. Opened the door to a guy who quickly said "private party". I asked if I could buy a game. He shook his head no. Disappointing... Im taking my business to Ettin's. I've never been turned away there.

Super fun! Great place for a date or just playing arcades. Also has DND, Laser tag pingpong, pool table, and so much more! The shop for table top RPGs and minis is fantastic.

Lots of games. I delivered some new ones to this location and was suprised at the amount of pinball machines and the amount of arcades. Everything there is set to freeplay so great place to set or beat you personal high scores.

Love the place to there 4 or 5 times a week dnd, laser tag, magic. You name it Sydney has it and he is always willing to help with rules and any questions you have on almost everything in there store this place is so underrated bring back table top gaming.

This place took me back to a much simpler time!!! I love the retro feel.... And the fact that there are up to date game systems i.e Xbox, switch, PlayStation, and so on. This is a good feel good place, especially for 80?s babies ??

Had a blast and didnt have to shell out too much money for it either!!!

This place is fantastic, for all the times you ran out of money to beat a game or you couldn't find that certain arcade game you once played, this place has it and will satisfy you with hours of fun.

My boys absolutely loved this place! A huge variety of entertainment. None of us were ever bored.... and the staff was very helpful and extremely kind. Love this place!!!

this place has legit any arcade game that your heart desires the one thing that was an only issue for me was the ac it did not seem like it was working my whole family was sweating 20 min after arriving but other than this I had a great time!

Very cool place with many well known and rare classics.

So much fun! Feels like going back in time to an 80s arcade. They have a great selection of games inside and out.

Timeloop Arcade was the perfect venue for my child's birthday party! The owner was nice, and there was a huge selection of games.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?
