Tilt Studio Ohio Valley

However, frequent complaints include broken or unmarked games, high costs, and poor value for money. Staff service is inconsistent—some are friendly, while others are unhelpful. Customer Reviews

We absolutely LOVE this arcade! My family and I go here all the time. It's such a wonderful addition to the Ohio Valley Mall! We have the "VIP" card, which makes the games a bit cheaper to play.

Cool toys, tickets are too expensive and the games last 10 sec smth. There is not much award for the tickets you earn. Workers were very nice to me and the kids though. So management should do something! Also the cheese pizza was very good as well.

It was ok. Needs more up to date video games. Staff didn't say anything just sat there . This mall is about to die

We visited Tilt Studio Ohio Valley back in February... looking back it was a great time with great memories and we plan to return. Kyle had a blast and as always that is all that matters for me! There was a lot of games and activities for Kyle to enjoy... so it is definitely 2 year old friendly. We didn't get a chance to play the night glow putt-putt, but I'm sure when Kyle is older some day we'll put it on our adventures list in the future. A great spot to visit with kids and even for adults. Kyle picked

My son really wanted to come here for the full claw machine experience, as they have many different ones. He blew through his first card very quickly by not realizing the big claw machines, like squishamals, are 30+ credits per play. His second play through took quite a bit longer and was more enjoyable for us both, with him getting a number of small ones that are a small fraction of the credits per play.

Where to start?...well couldn't get anyone who worked there to help us out til literally the very end. They now give you like debit cards to swipe at the games instead of coins or tokens. And you may or may not get your tickets at the end..we didn't know because no one would help us. finally figured out how to get the cards and load money on them but it was outrageously priced. Sent $200-$300 to put on 6-7 cards and only there for an hour - hour and a half?? Ridiculousness. Then half the games didn't work r

One of the best arcades we have been to! Awesome games and awesome prizes! The prizes are better then ones I have seen at other arcades. The games are great and not out dated like some we have been to. The staff has always been great. I have never had to wait for someone to help me at the counter. I love the small bowling alley here as well. If you are in the area and have kids or just love playing games I reccomend stopping in.

Employees couldn't even properly explain to a birthday kid why he can't use the birthday claw machine. WAY TOO PRICEY. Money went faster there than a casino.

So I spent $200 on a card to have some fun with my boys. A couple of the games my boys played were broke and a couple we wanted to play were only half working. What a shame. Good money down the drain, picture is just proof we were there. Yes that game didn't work correctly. ??????

This place was wonder full the air hockey table missed the puck so the very nice lady helped us out and gave us a free play Wonderful way to spend time.

It's a fun place to take the kids & family but be ready to spend some money while you're there! It can get expensive really fast if you don't set a limit. Our last visit there, my son & daughter were playing the SAME games & tickets loaded to my daughter's card but NOT my son's. So therefore I feel we got ripped off! Even some games ticket's didn't even load to my daughter's card. I don't know how that works but it needs fixed asap! Even a few games they played it took points off the kids cards but wouldn't

I was there for a birthday party. The staff are super friendly and take care of everything for the children and parents

The last few years Tilt has become a tradition for my nephews birthday gift... He always has an absolute blast! I will say it's easy to blow through a lot of money here in a couple hours, but if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion, and are able to do so.. I highly recommend it. I feel like it's better to have the experience and create core memories rather than buying toys/gifts that don't stick around!

My 5 year has fun. Sje enjpys the virtual reality games, and the little roller coaster. You can spend alot of money if a short amount of time. Depending on what you do.

Fun experience. Some of the games and experiences were down but the kids had fun.

Its a nice sized arcade, with a decent amount of games to choose from. Seems to be well staffed, but alot of the games are broken. No signs are ever on them, so u waste alot of money. I still stop everytime im that way, and have fun, just know what to expect.

Fun place to kill some time with the kids. Games for all ages and plenty of prizes to choose from when cashing out. Very friendly staff!

30$ doesn't give you even 15 while minutes of play time.

Went into Tilt yesterday, the girl working the counter that had brownish, blonde hair, glasses, hey dude shoes, was nasty and looked like she hated her job. Sorry we asked for a prize at the water game or disrupting your fun time with your coworkers, or making you do your job. Perhaps she shouldn't work with the public, or be around people in general. Overall, we had fun and enjoyed our time there.

Awful experience! Spent a good amount of money for barely any credits! Many of the games weren't available and/or weren't functioning properly, so we didn't get tickets added to our card that we should have! Such a disappointment! Won't return, ever!

This place is clean, for sure. the employees seemed nice enough but good lord; so many broken games, so few games (maybe 5-7) included in their one hour unlimited play deal and so few opportunities to win tickets. I'd recommend taking your money and flushing directly down the toilet or giving it to the charity of your choosing. Either would be a better use of your hard earned money.

Kinda expensive for small prizes. But it's whatever. Air hockey was the most fun.

First time visitor. Brought my 2 sons. The only positive thing about this arcade was the laser tag. The laser tag area is small. The games are extremely over priced. You get 100 tokens for $20. The good games are 25-35 tokens per play. We literally got to play 1 game of laser Tag, 2 cool games and 1 small claw machine game and were done in about 35 min. The reason I am giving a 2 star rating and not a 1 is because the kids did enjoy the laser tag but were very upset about only getting to play a couple games

A very fun place to go. We had so much fun and spent hours there. Will be going back. The staff was friendly and patient. They helped with all our questions.

Tilt is s wonderful arcade. They have a nice variety of different games from the norm. The staff is friendly. Excellent experience!

Extremely friendly staff , everything is so clean ( restrooms we're also ) . Will definitely visit with my Grandkids again !!

It's a great place I take the kids often. Only thing is they don't have very many video games which was problem they sent me a link for my son to have an hour free of video games free. He was upset and I had to just go buy him $75 worth of card so he wasn't upset that he didn't get to do the other stuff. Other than that an awesome place.

Had a 2 year old birthday party for 10. Wish the party room was interactive. Wish it had a bounce house, but all else was great. Service was good and assigning a party assistance helper is definitely a benefit. Would go again if cheaper for a party.

Great place to have fun. They even have laser tag and putt putt golf.

It was nice to see an actual arcade in a mall again. A bit expensive on the game play but it seems like some of the packages might be worth it. We'll probably stop in again next time we are at Ohio Valley Mall or at the theater.

Some of the games take alot of points to play, but the worst part is that the prizes cost are rediculous. On top of that, all of the claw machines are rigged up and you can never win because they are not strong enough to hold the prize. My daughter was heartbroken over an lol stuffie that we spent all our points trying to win from the claw machine, and we should have had it several times but it wasn't strong enough to hold it. I did complain but not much came of it. We will probably stick to our local arcad

This is a great place like a giant arcade woth mini golf and laser tag. A fun place to take the kids. The prices are what you would expect so make sure to bring lots of money because every game is pretty expensive.

DO NOT HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE! We paid 350 dollars for a birthday party and was completely not worth it. First off our party was at 3:00 and we arrived there at 2:40 and nothing was even started yet on the set up. They said we thought your party was at 3 30 when our confirmation email said 3. We even dropped decorations off the day before so in order to get started on time we had to decorate ourselves. They say they provide decorations when the only decorations was the table clothes and plates. We felt

A fun place to take kids young and old! A lot of the machines seem rigged, but we have fun regardless. You always win something. They also have a concession area that we have yet to try...so no info on the food quality or taste. They have many claw machines, video games, a few small rides for smaller children, laser tag (haven't done this yet), miniature golf, skee-ball, carnival-type games, skill games, a party room to rent for birthday parties...just fun! Kids can win tickets and exchange them for

A very fun and friendly environment. You have to purchase play cards and continuously add credits on them in order to play most of the games and claw machines. Only complaint I had was the staff there seemed very lethargic and didn't really seem like they wanted you in their presence.

I just had my daughter's 13th birthday party there and it was amazing. They did everything. All I had to do was show up. The kids had so much fun and the pizza and cupcakes were soooooo good! Great experience!

Even though theres a lot of flashing lights and noises most kids would enjoy, I feel that it is an expensive rip off. You buy their Power Hour or whatever its called, there is not much geared toward the younger children. Plus that doesnt cover the overpriced ticket prize games. Most video games are geared toward teenagers and adults with the zombie games, and monster games. A few racing games youngest kids can play, mini golf, mini bowling, but that's about it. Not worth the money in my opinion.

It's okay. Worth the drive (hour and a half) and they have decent packages. Most employees are not engaging and seem terribly bored. Quite a few games and attractions had features that no longer functioned or were broken. One in particular the emergency stop was broken and my toddler wanted off of the simulation and it was a balance between the movements to get him off safely. I let them know of the issue and received a shoulder shrug and was told thwy already know of the issue.

Great place to take children of all ages. We had a blast playing laser tag! There are a couple of rides you can ride and they have a huge selection of prizes to choose from. This was a great way to spend our Sunday after visiting Boo at the Zoo at Oglebay Good Petting Zoo.

I went with my husband as two grown adults that wanted to feel like little kids again. This delivered. It was a bit of a bummer that some games didn't work, but overall it was a good time.

This was an awesome time for me and my brother. For $40 you can get 2 hours of fun and lots of games to play. The best ride is the VR, the rabbids show themed. There was a problem with a few of the games, and all I had to do was ask the staff about it and they were able to fix it. Great experience overall, I would go there again

Was a good time with the kids, some games didn't work but the staff was on point to refund and help pretty quick. They was friendly to my kids as well. We will be returning even tho it's kind of costly.

I have spent time here with family and brought clients I support here to play games , the staff is always very accomodating and the arcade is clean. It would be a nice suggestions though to see more active disinfecting during the daily routine, but it seems the limited staff try their hardest to fit in managing the counter, fixing and manning the games and floor and putt golf area, and also cleaning.

Staff/employees were rude and didn't seem to know how to correct any issue we had, from machine not awarding tickets to card loading machine wouldn't allow us to load more then $10

Good games, however they make you load points on a card. Most games are $4+. Dave & Buster's or Chuck E Cheese are much better values. Would recommend looking elsewhere for equal fun vs better value.

Loved the virtual reality games. Food took 20 minutes for 2 hot dogs and we were the only customers so it wasn't busy. Couple games out of service but not marked so we lost our points. Good variety of games

games were fun, besides when one didn't work after my boyfriend and i used 64 points (32 each) and my vr headset didn't work, so we got up and told the worker, and she only gave us 32 back, even though we both got up before the vr was even a minute through.

Very clean. Friendly employees. Some of the claw machines are a bit janky with absolutely no hope of winning. Drinks are whyyyyy over priced. I'd walk out to the pop machines in the mall for a drink if you need one. Kids always have a great time though and the prizes are great!

My 7yo daughter and I really enjoy this place. The staff is very helpful and available when needed, and they have a good selection of games, and prizes. The only thing about this place that annoys me is the crane games (where you grab a toy)- I realize crane games aren't supposed to be "easy," they can't just give the stuff away, but we have actually never gotten even ONE prize from any of them. And I'm good at cranes!! The stuff is too heavy and/or the grabber settings won't hold onto them. And they co

Had a great time with the fam! Great location laser tag and miniature golf were a blast!

Super fun, with an excellent variety of games and activities. Great prize selection. Might be a little understaffed, but staff is helpful & courteous.

Be prepared for a noisy, hot environment. Clean, but food area small. Staff not helpful, so you're on your own. Pack a light bag for little ones & watch them closely. Lots of games, some rides, fun for kids. Not cheap for a few hours here.

It's a nice place but honestly think the prices are way to high..we got our kids a card with $20 on it and a good bit of the games one play would have been half the card...

Love this the games and the fun smiles we shared one of my favorite places to go with my kiddo..

This place a a great place for family fun. There are lots of games to play, the lazer tag arena was very nice, the mini golf course was fun, the mini bowling was nice, and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for family and friends.

Fun place, but the points go extremely fast. A few of the things my son and I tried to play didn't even work. It still took our points away though. And my son and I couldn't even communicate, because it was so loud in there.

Was very different. Never seen anything like it in mall. Couldn't play anything because I didn't understand how to get tokens or a card. How tons of games could spend all day here playing. Couldn't find a staff person to ask what to do. Seemed a little confusing and was very busy

The place is great for families and the Laser tag arena is well-put together. Only thing that made me upset was the lack of a "bumper car" area that turned out to be a circular ride called the alpine bobsleds.

A great experience, nice to have such a place locally. Mostly shooting and driving games, but plenty of things for older folks to enjoy. The only thing missing is some classic games from Arcade's golden age.

Haven't been to this tilt but enjoyed being a little kid even for a few moments.

Fun round of putt put golf

My 9 year old son loves it here. He asks several times after the first visit. You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a good time!

My son had a blast at his birthday party today! Thank you to the amazing staff who made his day fantastic.

Most arcades try to scam you over and give you nothing for playing arcade games, but Tilt is really fair with how they give out tickets and the amount of tickets it costs for prizes. My favorite game is the Ball Claw. The lazer-tag and food are great as well.

This place is so much fun and I love all the games and mini roller coaster, they even have laser tag and it is a lot of fun and very fun, they also have a great stuff animal collection that I got there lol??

Great time I won 2 toys from the claw machine

10 different games we played were broke. But they don't say out of order so it just takes your money. And then u figure it out. When u tell the staff, they just say sorry they are short handed today, and could care less.

Went there and half of the machines were not working. Also none of the card machines we're working. There is also no hope that you will win a claw machine. But overall i had a fun time

We had a great time it's a really good place to go especially if you want to have fun

Not like the old place at all. Very expensive. Almost unable to enjoy as a family. Prizes are outrageous and require $50+ in tokens. Avoid

Kids love this place. Lot of fun.

They need to lower to point cost on things the laser tag point price is fine but the vr game was 32 points i could get an actual vr and play it at home

Great place to have fun, I'm only giving it a 4 star because it's a bit too pricey

This arcade was awesome and not crowded at all. The kids had a blast. It was clean and well maintained.

Clean and great range of options on games to play. A little loud for a long visit but fun nevertheless

Love the place but every time we go in there is a machine in the front that continuously dings like an open car door. Never stops. Cant be normal.

Fun, but extremely pricey. One kid could easily blow through 50 bucks playing games.

I'm 27 and I thought this was actually a decent place to pass the time if you're waiting to get your haircut or for your movie to start if you get there early

Love the arcade here. Been going to the arcade in the mall since I was a kid. My girlfriend and I love going there

It was the first time I had been there, but it was awesome looking at all of the games while I was there. I didn't play any games.

It was fun for us adults and for the kids...lots to do...will be going back again

Very fun kid oriented place! Fun and friendly staff

Great place for kids. Very clean.. I have never seen a public restroom as clean as the one here.

It's way too expensive to play there compared to Dave and Busters

Great management. I've seen a lot of younger children win big (video game systems and large value gift cards).

Lots to do but they raised the prices so high it cost $5 per game. Better be rich!

My kids love this place. They have lots of games, laser tag and mini golf.

Had a great time. It's kinda expensive. It was nice that we were about the only ones there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
