Hi there. My family and I went to Thunderzone to enjoy family time on a wonderful Sunday. This place was recommended because of the atmosphere. The prices were great; however, my family and I were disappointed in the level of service we received. The lanes were malfunctioning more than normal and the staff seemed annoyed at our requests to fix the issue. Overall, we enjoyed our time and would like to come back. I hope these issues can be resolved. Thank you and have a great day.

Nice place for kids and tweens. Bowling, arcade games and laser tag. Nice place for a kids party. The arcade was a bit small and a few of the games were not working but overall my 8 year old had a good time. We went on a Saturday afternoon at around 6 PM. It wasn't too busy. Definitely recommend.

Perfect little place to go for a nice family night.. however come after you've ate or leaving going to lunch or dinner bc the food here is priced ridiculously high. $19 for a pep pizza? That's crazy!

I came in with two buddies and paid for three games after the first game. The screen stopped and I went up to the counter and asked for the manager and they denied that I paid for three games which I had a receipt in person. Don't waist your time coming to this place over priced

I attended a birthday party Saturday, January 18 2025 and had a great time. My only issue was at the bar. I ordered two items and didn't realize until the next day that the young lady never gave me my debit card back or a receipt. I called and spoke with the manager name Trey and he confirmed it was there. I was beyond pissed because I had to drive 1 hr and 22 minutes back out there and did not receive anything for being inconvenienced(not a soda or even an apology). Very nice setup. VIP bowling section and regular sections is comfortable. The wingz where good & the pizza. It was busy on a Friday night but we didn't have a wait time for our lanes. Nice staff too.

I recently hosted my daughter?s birthday party at ThunderZone and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The bowling lanes were a complete disaster. Seven balls got stuck at one time, the pins wouldn't reset, and the arm on lane 28 kept getting stuck. Lane 27 was only slightly better, but the birthday girl had to sit on the side watching her friends play. We had my daughter's BiRtHdAy Pretty there today (8-6-22) and we all had so much fun! The guy that helped us get anything we needed for the party was amazing and very helpful, thank you D! Went and bowled with my fianc? for Valentine?s Day. They have unlimited bowling on Friday?s from 5pm-12am and we were there about 6:30pm to about 9pmish. My fiance went up twice to ask for another hour which they gave us and then the 3rd time asking the employee said he would put another hour on and then we never were given the hour. Thunderzone is a hidden gem in Douglasville. I would have given 5 stars...but it tends to be really cold in the alley at times...and the fans blowing down on you doesn't help. Usually when it's cold, we go to another local alley because we tend to have elderly individuals that can't handle the cold. The food is also great...but pricey. 10 wings and fries $23 is a bit high.

Fun place, but it's a shame that adults aren't allowed to use bumpers anymore. Really takes the fun out of it when you just keep getting gutter balls.

Pretty fun overall. The cashier could work on the communication style a little more.

Thunderzone is by far the best bowling alley around. Monday-Thursday have $2 or $3 bowling and it is rarely busy on those days. The lanes are always well kept and the hospitality in there makes you feel like you are at home. I drive close to an hour out the way because of how good of a bowling alley this is multiple days out of the week. We had a wonderful time here. Allen was our server and he was WONDERFUL. I loved the way he helped us get our order together. He was so patient with us and answers every question we had. He provided us our drinks in a timely manner and our food came out within a decent time and our order was accurate. He came back a good amount of times to check up on us and make sure we were good on everything. He also made sure our food was up to par for our liking. Good service, welcoming at the front counter and the bar. Just left with my wife and two boys. Had a bad experience at southern lanes and decided to try this place out. I am not sure how this place has lower reviews than southern lanes.

Kid-friendly a great day for a family bowling night I was able to take my grandchildren as young as 2 years old and friends up to 65 and everybody had an awesome time bowling fees are reasonable

It sucks first time visiting and the lane shuts off after bowling 2 frames. I spoke to the mgr and they informed me all they could do is keep resetting it. I asked for a refund and was denied a refund. The lane continued to shut off during our bowling hour, making this one of our worst bowling experiences to date. Saturday 12/14/24 lane 16 at 730pm

We came here for a family Christmas get together and we had a blast. We got to the lane quickly and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had time to reconnect and bowl a few frames. We ordered from the restaurant and the food was really good. I look forward to going again.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Me and my partner had the best time, the games are affordable, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, not to mention the drinks were fantastic! We even had a little trouble with our card closing out the tab for drinks and the manager was so understanding and helpful, we will be regulars from now on, I HIGHLY recommend coming here!!????

This place is perfect for a low key date night. I would suggest paying extra for the VIP bowling because it's less crowded and the couch seating is more intimate for a date than the regular tables. Also, they're open till 2 am and have a full bar so you can enjoy adult time without screaming kids. Also, it's not outrageously priced.

It was really fun. Bowling is pretty expensive, but it was fun. The laser tag was fun. And reasonable.

Hard decision on actual rating. Went with the 3 star on the arcade since 2 1/2 wasn't an option. They don't make all the cards available in the Willy Wonka coin pusher area. Grandson has been needing a Oompa Loompa card for almost 4 months to complete this set to get the bonus tickets but has never even seen one in all this time with minimum weekly visits. The bowling alley is located in a secluded area. When you arrive, there are many places to park. There is an outdoor area for people to dine or connect. Then when you walk in, there is a pool and bar area. This facility has an arcade area and two sets of bowling lanes. The chicken wings were average at best.

Upon arrival 2 employees not acknowledging customers and continuing their conversation. Had to interrupt them to get service. Food service took forever. Lied and stated the kitchen closed before it was really closed at 9:30. Then serviced other people with food and then said oh yea I did tell her that. Servers not on the same page and not truthful. Lanes were sticking and jamming. My mom tried several times to get a bottle of water and couldn't serviced.

Had a great family night with Lazer tag and bowling. The OLGs against the teens. Glad we chose a weekday instead of the weekend because it wasn't crowded at all. The prices are a little steep but maybe that just me not getting out for a while. Glad I went.

My wife and I came for date night. We enjoyed the food, bowling and the arcade games but one of your bartenders was very rude to my wife, ignoring anything she said and blatantly flirting with me and it made my wife very upset. My wife said her name was either Janie or Jayme, not sure but her rudeness and flirting needs to be addressed, she's too old and unattractive to be acting that way. Very kid friendly attractions! Fun for the family and the place is booming with people! Food is very delicious. Staff are hard workers and check on you every minute. Went with the fam last night and had lots of fun!

Great place. Enjoyed it. Went on a Monday around 2:00 and we practically had the place to ourselves. Social distancing is encouraged. I feel they do a good job.

My daughter had an incredibly disappointing birthday at Thunderzone on Saturday May 18th. We purchased a very expensive lane on the neon lit side of the alley. $73 for 5 bowlers with shoes for one hour. When we arrived to our lane the party on the other lane was sitting on our side. Very unprofessional!! This is not a dig at the young guys working the counter, but the manager was very rude for a mistake made on their end. We were accused of not paying for games & shoes. Just left Thunderzone . We have been there several times before and I hate to say this but the food was awful . We ordered pizza, honey barbecue wings and fries. Who messes up wings?It was so salty we could not eat it. The pizza also tasted bad compared to previous times visited. After waiting on a manager who took his time to come over. He offered chicken strips that were also salt. Maybe this was a one time mishap but we have watched this place slowly decline over the years. We will not be back.

On a Saturday night, which is probably usually busy like this Saturday night was, they only had a limited food menu. Out of all the things on the menu, pretty much only pizza, wings, and fries were available. It was only 6:30pm, so it wasn't late at all. The wings had a good flavor, but were kind of undercooked. Pretty cool place, definitely a bit too expensive on the weekends, for a bowling alley. Southern Lanes prices are better, and the lanes are generally better and freshly oiled most of the time, which is preferred for anyone who actually likes bowling. This was our first time. We did a couples date. We did bowling and pool. The bowling experience was the worse the game kept freezing and going on to the next person with one of us finish doing our round. We have tried to reset it several times and it wouldn't work we had to stop to reset then when it didn't we went and got someone then they reset but goes to the next person. i brought my son here for his 6th birthday yesterday the hours on the website and google say they close at 11 but they closed at 10 with no notice from any employee. all lanes shut off lights turned off with us still in the building at 10pm. when i asked why they closed early with no explanation the employee said i don't know we just are. when i purchased multiple games that should have been explained and not ripping the customer off. a simple "mam only purchase one game because we are closing early today.

Amazing place for bowling with a nice warm slice of pizza and iccee.

I wish I could leave no stars. Very unprofessional and could've been conducted business wise in a better way. We drove 30 minutes for a friend's birthday gathering and they were turning people away because there wasn't enough patrons to stay open. Do better. No management was present outside to offer anything to those arriving, just a security guard outside telling the many cars that drove up that they were closed.

Food was very disappointing or party of six ordered two pizzas wings cheese sticks and fries and apparently the order was forgotten because we had to go to the counter to talk about where it was after 20 minutes. Always a great place to go bowling with friends and family. Every has a great time. The staff are amazing people always so nice to everyone and they try to serve as quickly as possible. They also have a game room and pool tables. The bar is almost as big as a regular bar with enough seating and the pool tables are in the bar.

This place is boring and mediocre. Food is horrible. Way to over priced. I saw the prices and went right to Dave and busters. They have better games and good hands down. If you support this business you've lost your mind.

Our experience there was great. We bowled a couple of games, got some food and had a good time. Any staff I interacted with was nice. My lemonade slushie didn't really taste like lemonade but... hey.

It was a pretty cool, fun place, but overly expensive. Arcade games are too costly for them to be inoperable and still taking money when the card is swiped. It was difficult to get assistance in fixing some of the games and refunds back on cards for those that didn't work. Customer service needs some work as they weren't as friendly or helpful.

Went out for a fun evening. But was met with overpriced games and kids in the bar playing around while we tried to play pool! The majority of the games in the arcade were $2. It's a lot when 2 people are sharing 1 card. We still had a good time until we went to play pool in the bar area and this family was in the bar with their kids. This was a shocker for me because it's the bar area, that allows kids in there. It's not a safe idea for me! You have adults in there drinks and trying to let there hair down.

Definitely a great night out doing something different! On original entry the one bartender staff was rude, but then we had someone else take our order and that person was 100%. Even with him having a rough night with being understaffed he still kept a smile on his face and still was cheerful. The only complaint I have is that lane 13 pins, kept knocking pins off that were not hit during the pin set. So it made the score untrue. Fun little family get together spot. Food was good. We had some cheese burgers, quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, french fries and some of their funnel cake fries. Everything was delicious. Bowling was fun. My kids had fun at the little arcade they have.

Usually have a nice time here, I've had my son's birthday here before. I decided to get out of the house during winter break. All was well until we ordered the overpriced wings and they weren't done. When we told the manager all she said was "I'll tell the kitchen" and walked away. She was rude and nonchalant about something that could have made my kids sick.

When I went to this location, my card was charged twice without my knowledge. I just so happened to check my bank app and seen that the transaction was processed twice, once at 6:44 and then again at 6:48. Spent 3 hours of family friendly fun here. Easily was able to bowl, hit the arcade area and eat. The only place we didn't get to was the laser tag arena. Next time. Staff was helpful and patrons were nice. Very clean location. I can't ask for anything more.
