Thrill Factory Entertainment

Reviews Summary

Thrill Factory Entertainment generally receives positive feedback for its diverse activities (bowling, arcade, escape rooms, laser tag) and fun atmosphere, with many praising the friendly staff and surprisingly good food, especially cheese curds and burgers. However, some criticize high prices, inconsistent service (slow waitstaff, broken arcade games), and understaffing. Mixed reviews note potential but highlight operational issues like attractions not running or poor event organization. Most agree it’s a great family/group spot when functioning smoothly, though detractors warn of mismanagement and value concerns.

Customer Reviews

Finally-an Entertainment Center for the East Side! I've been to Thrill Factory 3 times now (the second was for our son?s birthday party) and have had a great time each time. The pricing is what you would expect for a new gaming / activity place and is no different than Dave & Busters or Spare Time, but thankfully us not as loud as D&B. There's a good mix of games along with a little mini golf area, mini escape rooms (and regular escape rooms), laser tag, bowling-we had a lot of fun hyper bowling. There

My partner and I have strolled through Thrill Factory before out of genuine curiosity and honestly, it looks amazing! Super fun atmosphere, obviously great for kids but even as a 25 year old I would have a great time with friends here. Drinks at the Tiki bar are so tasty! The bartender Jill was so sweet and was cooking up some great cocktails, thank you Jill! We had two drinks each and I have to say that Mojito was so refreshing and we both loved the blended pina colada! I don't think you can go wrong with

Every time we come to Thrill Factory, we have an absolute blast! The atmosphere is super cool, and the staff is always welcoming and super helpful. My personal favorites are the VIP bowling lanes and laser tag! Seriously, so much fun! And the food? Surprisingly amazing for an entertainment venue! (It's even better than some restaurants!) If you're looking for a place that guarantees a great time, this is it! ??

This review is a little late as I visited Thrill factory for the first time 2/11 for my cousins birthday. And the customer service blew me away that night. We were under the impression that thrill factory was open to 11 and came around 8. Plenty of time. I rent a lane for us to bowl, I join my friend's at the bar and hear.. ?we will be closing in 15mins?? My heart sank this was our big plan for my cousins night. I goto request a refund when a worker found me and explained to me that they had just changed th

Really fun, reasonable prices on games. Easy to use loadable card system. I'm super excited for the zombies and quests they are working on. Helpful, fun, friendly staff. Mini golf is great! Fun course, good price. Bowling alleys are tops! Many fun ways to play. Reasonable prices for shoe rental and lane by the hour. The food is great and reasonably priced. Vegan options available. Choices to please the entire group! I highly recommend ?? Thrill Factory has everything you need for a great time all in one pla

This place rocks! Took my niece (13) and nephew (10) on a Friday afternoon. We were greeted and given a brief summary of what to expect, and what our choices were. There's bowling, mini golf, a large escape room, mini escape rooms, a bar, food, tons of fun arcade games, and Lazer tag. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Thrill Factory Entertainment in Madison, WI, is hands down the best family fun center we've been to! I took my three kids and a friend of theirs, and we all had an absolute blast. From the huge arcade with tons of games to the exciting laser tag arena, there was never a dull moment. The mini escape games were a big hit with the kids, and the mini golf course was super creative and fun. They have two other venues not open yet, but will be another awesome addition in the near future! Yes, it's a little pric

This entertainment hub truly has something for everyone. First off, the bowling alley is top-notch?modern lanes, great atmosphere, and perfect for both casual games and friendly competition. The arcade is packed with a mix of classic and new games that will keep both kids and adults entertained for hours. We also tried one of their escape rooms, and it was an absolute blast! The puzzles were challenging but not frustrating, and the themes were creative and immersive. When it comes to food, the restaurant

Such a fun experience, and so much to do for both kids and adults from escape rooms, miniature golf, laser tag, arcades and bowling. My kids played in their new Floor is Lava game room, and had a blast! My son already asking to have his birthday there! Oh, and their drinks were fantastic! Their Hurricane drink is a must try!!! Yummm!

Absolutely LOVE this place!! There's something for everyone. If you're looking to entertain your kids or have a great night out with friends?Thrill Factory has it ALL! Their food and drinks are so good! I'm a big fan of the cheese curds and salty dog?? We spent NYE there and had our daughter?s bday party there. The kids said it's the coolest place they'd ever been! One of them even said it's better than Disney World. Haha:)

I received a flyer in the mail and decided to check this place out?I'm a big fan of Dave & Buster's, but I hate driving all the way across town to get there. So I was really excited to discover Thrill Factory! The place is spotless, reasonably priced, and has a vibrant, playful atmosphere. There's a ton to do, and everything felt thoughtfully designed for fun. I especially appreciated the manager, Nathan?he seemed to be everywhere at once, always available and ready to help. Overall, it was a fantastic expe

Came with a group, fantastic experience, food was insanely good, the burgers the wings the steak cubes the cheese curds?.believe it or not?the food is some of the better food I've had?burgers were amazing!?. It's like going to Dave & Buster?s and getting great food! The escape rooms were next level! The laser tag was so fun. Highly recommend this place for groups of friends, had a blast!!!

We have been looking forward to Thrill Factory at East Towne Mall Madison, WI ever since we have seen Guy on Shark Tank! My family always have a great time every time when we go there. The food is wonderful. The staff is fun and very helpful with all the attractions. The food tastes delicious. I can't say enough about this place. Elijah is an awesome and fun bartender. It's like Dave and Busters on steroids. I can't wait for the rest of the Wizards Quest and the Zombie Shooting Gallery part to open. There

Took a group of students to Thrill Factory and had an amazing experience! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made organizing the visit so easy. The space is super well designed?fun, safe, and easy for the teens to navigate. They were especially wowed by the robotic, moving mythical creatures throughout the place?such a cool touch! We only did bowling this time, but the lanes were pristine and really impressive. We'll definitely be back to explore more. Highly recommend!

The escape rooms were a lot of fun, and the new Zombie Town was a great competition for the wife and I to see how many zombies we could kill. The manager, Josh, was amazing and made us feel like family. This is a great place with plenty to keep you entertained for hours. Highly recommend.

Really neat place to go and do, loved all of the robots moving around just really cool! The wizards land (from what I've seen online) looks super cool and can't wait to do. Sure the mini golf was pretty easy but hey I know smaller kids would enjoy it most! The arcade section is decent sized but I'm more so looking forward to the diversity of fun this place will bring when everything opens up! Right now the zombie attack, wizard adventure, and bigger sized escape rooms are not open yet. Looking forward to re

Such a fantastic experience. The food was beyond my expectations. Every dish was full of flavor, and you could tell they use high-quality ingredients. I especially loved the wings and the cheesy fries. Plus, the atmosphere makes everything even better. Perfect spot for a fun day out with amazing food.

We had a party of 10 for laser tag and one of the guns weren't working so they allowed us all to go again. Good customer service.

Some things can be pricy, but it's great to see new stuff open on the east side of madison. We had a good time. Hope the place does well.

Had a great time in the escape room. They have done a very good job with the space. Best part was when my mom got tired of hanging out she was able to go across the hallway of the mall and get a massage. Great location and service.

Place was fun, new, and clean, but there was poor staffing and lots of waiting. Our server was very friendly.

What a fun place to be! You can expect great food, friendly staff, and epic games/attractions. The east side of Madison definitely needed a place like this ??

Had a great time with my kids at Thrill Factory, and the food was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a pizza and wings, and everything came out hot and tasty. The wings were crispy and flavorful, and the pizza had that perfect crust. I just wish they offered a few more dessert choices, but overall, the food was way better than expected.

We just had our company appreciation party here and it was hands down the best decision we made!! The staff we had for us in the VIP suit was amazing, tentative, and just plan fun/funny to be around just great energy. It was great to have four lanes to ourselves and just to be able to hangout and talk without worrying about others around us since we had this space to ourselves. The food was really good and after our two hour time slot for our VIP room and food it was great we could all still hangout and exp

I brought my daughter and her friend there today. The two gentlemen Carlos (security guard) and Panda the Game Master. These two gentlemen deserve to be recognized as great employees. Im handicap and they were so wonderful. We will for sure be coming back not only for the Escape Rooms, games, etc, but to also see these two wonderful employees. Thanks for an amazing experience! Please let them know!

I recently visited The Thrill Factory, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience! The food was fantastic, and the drinks were equally impressive. What truly stood out to me, though, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, and that kind of service is what will definitely bring me back. The East Side of Madison really needed a place like this, and I sincerely hope it continues to thrive. While I understand that any restaurant can have an off day w

The bar and restaurant is Nice extremely Nice. The food was excellent, although it didn't fill me up. I think it would have been better if I had the option to make it a double. I would order this steakhouse burger again, yum yum.

It is a great place to bring the kids and families too for a fun day Fun clean atmosphere Lots to do all under one roof! Bowling, arcades, mini putting, escape rooms, restaurant, and bar. Extremely pricey, in my opinion! Hope the staff takes good care of this new location! We will have to wait and see how long this lasts.

Great place and got some options for arcades and fun for all ages to enjoy. Nice atmosphere and not too noisy as you might expect, and at tiki dining there trivia questions for interaction and maybe win something. Zombie town was out of commission and there was no sign indicating it's out of service.

Decided to try bowling for the first time at Thrill Factory because I noticed the price change. When they first opened it was $45 for 1 hour per lane up to 6 and then a month ago, it as down to $40. I'm assuming the price adjustment to match Spare Time as they are $38.99 for the same offer. Today the price however shows Open Bowl $10 Weekdays and then $12 Weekends. I was actually talking to the manager. I believe his name was Nathan per the conversation I had with the last guy. I asked him why the change in

I came for the games but ended up loving the food just as much. The burgers were juicy, the fries were seasoned perfectly, and the milkshakes were delicious. The portions were great, and everything tasted fresh. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends.

Me and the wifey love this place! Fun games and great food and drinks (kebabs were so good!) Nathan the manager and staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be making a return visit, bringing more family members!

Had a blast with the kids here. Would recommend anyone check them out. They've got arcade style games, a photo booth, bowling, mini golf, Lazer tag, escape rooms. There's plenty to do here. Bring the whole family for some fun.

My family and I were traveling to Madison and we're very excited to try the new Thrill Factory that recently opened. Everything is brand new and they have creatively thought of every detail. We tried two of the three mini escape rooms with the kids and they had a blast! The staff was extremely helpful and food and service was excellent! We didn't bowl but the VIP lounge looked gorgeous! I loved that they have two bars, great for watching the kids have fun and play all the games. Prizes were fun to choose fr

Nathan is the man. He is main reason my party of 12 was actually able to bowl on time. He went out of his way to show us a few of the other games even after they had technically closed and he did it with a smile the whole time. Thrill Factory is great. I wish they were opened later on the weekend, but with staff like Nathan we will make it work to come earlier next time.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food is here. A lot of entertainment places have average food, but not this one. The wings were flavorful, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the portions were generous. I will definitely be coming back.

We went to Thrill Factory this past weekend and we weren't super impressed. The Good: -Staff is all super friendly. -Very Clean! -Great Bathrooms and love how the stall walls go all the way to the floor. This is a safety must in public restrooms. -Fun options, other than arcade games -Good private bowling area you can book for parties, or just to have some privacy. The Not So Good: -Not many arcade games available. They totally have enough space to add in more games. Most of their games aren't very difficu

The Hyper Bowling was super fun and, drinks and food were both amazing. The arcade was also decent, but i would recommend just skipping anything thats mainly for tickets and just focus on doing whatever sounds fun, as the ticket shop wasn't great. My biggest complaint would have to be the minigolf, it was a bit less maintained than the rest of the location, and it wasnt a super fun course, but the bowling definitely made up for it. I didnt get a chance to try the laser tag, or escape rooms but ive heard goo

A much needed addition to the East Side. We've been in a few times. Once to walk through and check it out. We had been hoping for the escape rooms that time but they weren't ready. They also had a few other ?coming soon? attractions that haven't been open yet on any of our visits. They do have a few of the escape rooms going as of the last time we went. The variety of activities offered here is good and shows the intention of being better. They have some arcade games but double the amount would be a lot be

I went for a meet up event that was hosted by the general manager. The place was total chaos despite not being very busy. There was no signage for the event and the description in Meetup was for a VIP room for which there were also no directions. The customer service area had the same people at the entire time I was looking seemingly with a serious complaint. None of the employees even made eye contact or smiled, so I didn't try to engage them either if you want games go to Dave & Buster?s if you want bowli

Really fun spot. Kids had a great time for a birthday party. Note: bowling pins are tethered, so they don't react normally. Drinks were well priced.

Had a party in their private room and it was excellent! Great food and service, and really fun games.

Do not book a party at this facility. They need to have a disclaimer that states, "Unable to guarantee all party activities included in the packages will be met depending on how busy the facility is the day of the event. We do not assist the parties in anyway to assure they get into the activities. We won't communicate with you beforehand, but you can be there up to 8 hours in order to try and use the activities you had to prepay for. However, the information on our website will state the party duration is

Laser tag at Thrill Factory is next level.. The arena is huge and the game modes are super exciting.. We did last man standing PVP and I blasted everyone...

Excited about this place! Just on a random Wednesday afternoon while shopping for some sports equipment, we walked through to check it out. Very cool! My son and I were treated to a complimentary trial of a mini escape room. As a totally random event, it showed the enthusiasm and kindness of the staff and confirmed we will be back!

We loved our visit to the thrill factory during our last trip!! It was the tiki bar for me but the kids and my husband all still rave about the arcade games. A great selection of games to play and even better prizes. Awesome atmosphere I would highly recommend to anyone!

A truly wonderful place, We did the mystery manner escape room (and beat it) as well as some of the arcade game. The man that helped us in the escape room was very kind and funny, which made the experience even better. It is hard to put into words, but if you have a few hours to kill go here!!!! thanks!!

The food here is just as amazing as the entertainment. I ordered a pizza and some appetizers, and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was hot and fresh. Perfect place for great food and a fun time.

Drinks were excellent, bartender in the Tiki Tiki bar was awesome and my kids had a blast. It was clean and friendly. My only concern was with a place so family friendly, I was not ok with seeing a male in the girls bathroom, he should use the ?gender neutral? bathrooms and not one that parents are trusting there daughters to go into.

I went here for the first time the other day and was very disappointed. 1/3 of the arcade games we tried were broken. They would just take our money and then we wouldn't be able to play the games. Guest Services was as helpful as they could be and gave us some free games since we kept getting our money taken, but we could only go up so many times and eventually had to just play the like 10 games that actually worked. They already had a very small game selection, so that just made it all worse. Such a waste

We went there tonight and had a great time bowling, doing an escape room and playing games. We had amazing cheeseburgers and fries in the restaurant. The food was very reasonable $12 for a huge burger and fries. The attractions were way less than similar places in the Dells. Everyone around us seemed to be having a great time too. Very unique theming and lots of helpful employees. Will be back!

Really bad service. I had my daughters bday party here and we are on a schedule for 2hrs and the waitress came really late for pizza which pushed our time, there was no cups in room to get to drink the ?unlimited drinks? they had in room. We had to find the waitress multiple times. The arcade cards use a lot of points so the guests could only play 1-2 games. My daughter had a 1000 tickets to use at the gift shop (as the bundle included the bday child to have 1000 tickets) and said she only had 2 tickets she

I feel this place has the potential to be great, but is lacking in specific areas. Team members are identifiable by their bright and 70s/89s style shirts. However, managers do not seem to wear uniforms and aren't easily identifiable. Not even sure who is a manager or not without name tags. If an issue arises, I'd want to make sure I could find a manager, and not just a team member who's possibly not in uniform. A lot of their attractions are not up and running. Was told by the end of the month, but I don?

First time there for my daughters 9th birthday. Two waitresses working and a bartender working the bar. We waited in line at the hostesses stand for for 20 mins cause they had to get seating for the group ahead of us. We finally get seated after 20 mins. After waiting 10ish minutes to get 4 sodas off the gun we had to wait another long period of time for our waitress to ask us if we wanted to order. My husband and I both said yes. My husband directly said we are ready to order after the confirmation we bo

I had to change my original review after my third visit. This place keeps getting better. Thank you for making my wife's birthday truly one of the best! The VIP room was amazing. Everything was great - food, service, games, mini escape rooms, bowling, laser tag, i can't wait for the coming attractions to be ready. They sound spectacular. Teriyaki steak on a stick was delicious, as was the chicken quesadilla and burgers. Again, my thanks to you and your staff. Even the prizes are top-notch. This is a place

The staff was very friendly. I recommend getting the cheese curds or fries off of the food menu. The bathrooms were neat and clean, and the arcade games were unforgettable. Would definitely go again!

Staff was nice. Food wasn't as great. Limited menu options. Fries were cold and soggy. Cheese curd was good but expensive for a small portion. Limited arcade and also the zombie land room wasn't even open yet. Worker said it won't open that till the end of January. Will probably be our first time and last time there.

The drinks are fabulous, there are so many things to experience. Had a great time playing games and the mini-escape rooms were a blast. The Teriyaki steak on a stick was delicious. Great job Guy!

Really fun time. We were able to do a few of the mini escape rooms, mini golf, and arcade games. I would definitely stop in again.

What a fun place for a birthday party. Plenty of space to spread out lots for everybody to do. And quite affordable. I highly recommend

The food is delicious. I got the pesto chicken sandwich. The employees are great. I'd definitely again. Worth the price

Awesome place. Cheese curds were amazing with the apple butter. Nice drinks, big selection of beers and cocktails. Will definitely go back.

I have to say I was delighted to see something like this at the mall. The malls on both sides of town have been going downhill with lots of vacant stores. It seems like the mall was busier than ever and probably because of Thrill Factory. Thanks for saving or neighborhood!

First time to thrill factory and the kids loved it. So much to do and great atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff. We'll be back!

We went for the mini golf, and paid for a pretty disappointing experience. The layout of the holes is super confusing and we couldn't really figure out if we were going in the right order or not, and the course did not specify that it was made for 5 year olds. We finished in maybe 15 minutes tops.

super fun! the workers were kind (and super helpful with the hints lol) Would highly recommend for any and all escape room enthusiasts!

Really cool place but definitely needs more staff. Will gladly go again though, especially if they add more arcade games and not just gambling things

Took my mom grandsons and they had so much fun

I see what all the fuss is about now. Cheese curds at Thrill Factory are probably best in Madison, and I am a curd connosseur..

Elijah from the tiki bar was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. For a place that just opened, the escape rooms are especially impressive. Good time!

My kids loved it there we all enjoyed our time there. It is great for all family members no matter what age. Something for everyone

Prices are absolutely insane how are these family prices. I don't think this place go last at all once again no execution. They need a play land like in mall Of America. And wrist bands that's affordable

This was such a great experience. Food was fantastic and atmosphere was top-notch. What a great addition to the north-east side of Madison and East Towne Mall. We'll be back soon!

Stopped here on a Friday afternoon, HIGHLY recommend stopping in at the Tiki Bar to see Emily! She made PERFECT whiskey sours and was so personable and friendly!

We had a blast at the escape room! I had never done it before, and the attendances made it such a fun experience. I'll be back.

Warm and really welcoming entertainment. This place is somewhere you would take your family and enjoy. Entertainment of all sorts from bowling, arcade games, VR games, tiki bar, main bar, mini golf, escape rooms, Lazer tag, restaurant, and VIP room can be of use.

Laser tag at Thrill Factory is next level. The arena is huge and the game modes are super exciting. We did last man standing PVP and I blasted everyone.

There is no too cool place for enjoying than thrill factory entertainment. Their services are amazing and highly appriciated. We enjoy alot our birthday event and this is only done due to THRILL FACTORY ENTERTAINMNET. Highly appriciated.

Wouldn't recommend the escape room for a 7 year old, but definitely had so much fun besides that! Management is amazing.

I took my grandson there to bowl he got his first 200 game at 9 years old great food and good quality lanes excellent!

Came in was greeted and when needed assistance they were very professional and assisted with getting things figured out with me. Played laser tag and they missed us so credited us a free game.

The laser tag is an experience you can't pass on, I love the poppy splashy vibe of this place, tbf you will have a blast here because there's something for everyone

Seems like an excellent addition to the East side of Madison. Lots of games. Bowling. Laser tag! We enjoyed visiting as a family. Friendly staff also!

Very cool visual design as soon as you walk in. They have plenty of entertainment for all ages. Laser tag, mini golf, bowling, shooting gallery, arcade, Bar and restaurant

The best place for the celeberation of the birthday parties. We are very happy to choose Thrill Factory Entertainment. Highly appriciated

A taste of Wisconsin Dells in Madison. Plenty of fun for all ages!

Came in and had a nice greeting. Help us to find the restroom and the restroom was really cool. Very professional and very nice

They have all that space but the decide to overcrowd the left side of the place. Zombie attraction was closed. Tiki Restaurant had a kind staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
