Three Bears Waterpark Resort & Convention Center, Ascend Collection Near Tomah, WI

Reviews Summary

The resort receives mixed reviews, with many praising the waterpark as fun for kids but criticizing severe cleanliness issues (dirty rooms, mold, old food), poor maintenance (broken slides, equipment), and chronic understaffing (closed facilities, long waits). Several guests reported incorrect or unavailable rooms upon arrival. While some staff are commended for friendliness, overall service is inconsistent, with limited dining options and amenities often unavailable. Positive experiences highlight comfortable villas and enjoyable waterpark features, but these are overshadowed by frequent complaints about disorganization, lack of upkeep, and unmet expectations for the price.

DO NOT give this business your money. TERRIBLE in so many ways?. We have been going to this resort with family for the last 10 years and this will be the last time we ever go there. The water park area is dilapidated and there are about 10 tubes for the lazy river in the entire place. We were told that they cannot blow up anymore tubes from the pile of deflated ones. Cleanliness of the pool area and restrooms were sub par. I observed piles of random crap (hairnet/bandage/hair/trash in the corners by the poo

Interior set up was great! Front desk staff (lady at 430 on Sunday 6/15) was amazing an did what she could. But the system was down to make keys to be able to get into our room. So im paying over $200 for one night with my kids and can't even get to the room at check in. (Fixed around 5pm) The room with a kind bed (we got a suite) had cereal on the floor from a previous guest. The room with two sets of bunk beds, you can't even get into one of the top bunks (see photo) and the outdoor patio has cigarette bu

We had a blast here! We had changed our reservations twice and everything still went smoothly at check in. As previous reviews mentioned, they did temporarily run out of towels at the water park one day (they were in the drier) and the service at the restaurant for breakfast was slow as they only had one server, but everyone we encountered were very nice! Our room in the hotel was great and we also had family in a villa that was wonderful too! There were only 2 games at the arcade that were out of order an

We were considering not staying here because of the past reviews BUT I am so glad we decided to make our own opinion about The Three Bears! We LOVED the indoor water park area! It is smaller than the Dells water parks but very enjoyable! (Lazy river, wave pool, kid pool area, big basketball pool, hot tub, multiple water slides and a smaller outdoor water park area) There was some things that needed cleaning up but it was from guests not the hotel! The lifeguards were all paying attention and were friendly!

Rachel at the front desk for the 1878 restaurant is amazing! She listened to our concerns and addressed them quickly and appropriately. Our main concern was that the bar doesn't open until 5pm!! It's Saturday and we're on vacation? it should be open at 10am when the pools open. I guess the fried pickles will have to do ??

As a family, we stayed at Three Bears Resort many times over the years. We have since moved across the Country and found ourselves back in the general area for a funeral. I thought it would be a nice trip down memory lane to stay at this resort for one night with my daughter. I had tried calling for days, and never got anyone to answer the phone. Since we were driving right by the resort, I decided to stop in to check on room availability. At $280 for one night, for two people, just to sleep, I made the

The first time we stayed here was the week of spring break and all of the things inside the waterpark was working. However, their website said that the room we have (2 double beds) will have a microwave and when we got there, there was nothing. So we had to bring down all of our frozen food to the cafe and have the cafe guy warm it up for us (he warmed it for 4 people and was nice about it). I asked the front desk if we can get a microwave and they said they have no extras available. The second time we sta

Check in went fine. The indoor pool was the only redeeming quality but wasn't Perfect. The pools were dirty, some of the water gadgets on the water playground didn't work. Most of the tubes were deflated. The indoor/outdoor whirlpool was empty and shutdown. Our room was spacious enough, however the long bed was old and worn out, the mattress sagged and made you roll to the middle. The refrigerator was constantly running with a high pitch squeal, it froze everything. the mini golf was fun but we got down the

My wife and daughter and her husband and our granddaughter and close friend, were in Warren's at the Three Bears resort for a wedding weekend. Family and friends were all staying at the resort. We rented a villa, which was tired and worn Many of the blinds were damaged on the windows. The main bathroom's floor was bubbled up. Probably from water damage causing the door too stick. The wood cabinets, and wall trim, the varnish is old. The couch was torn and the windows, we're full of cobwebs. The place is in

Stayed at the resort, not in a villa. First night, no food at bar or restaurant due to employees walking out. Water Park was busy but we were able to find a table and a double tube. We ate at the pizza place in the park area, they were understaffed and busy due to the restaurant and bar being closed, pizza was good but they seemed to be out of a lot of their beverages. Indoor outdoor hot tub was out of commission, smaller corner hot tub was packed with small children and jets were broken. Second night resta

This was one of the worst experiences at a hotel/resort/waterpark my family has ever experienced. We rented 2 villas for a family reunion and neither had air conditioning in 90+ degree weather. This was booked by a third party Air bnb. We were then set up in hotel rooms. Air conditioning in multiple hotel rooms was also out, it took us in total over 7-8 rooms before we found one with working AC. We were told we'd be discounted for the inconvenience of our trip and this did not happen. After calling us at 10

Booked a room over a month in advance,(through THEIR website not a third party.) show up 15 minutes before check in and told my room has been given to an other guest, my option is cancel cram 5 of us into a smaller room. After driving 2.5 hours that was pretty irritating. The guest checking in before was told the same thing. This was not our experience last year and was told the new owners don't want them to actually BOOK anything until the guest check in?? I'm only giving two stars instead of one because m

Received wrong room (paid for a bunk suite revived 2 queen basic room), was told there was no way to give a refund since the manager wasn't there. Then the water parks all state no carry ins, and per their website lists all kind of restaurants so that you can just stay in, but nothing is open. And coolers are cleaned out so no plans to open either. The next day, we walk down for breakfast around 8am, and it's all dark. Many others standing around too, no one at the front desk. Then finally a worker comes ar

Unfortunately I echo so many of the reviews before me - I'd give zero stars if I could. Rented a villa for spring break - hour late check in due to housekeeping staff walking out. Learned kitchen staff also walked out (zero dining options on property because pizza was closed by the time we settled in.) Villa was not clean - we had to sweep before entering. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. No drinking glasses at all (probably a blessing.) Kitchen chair ready to fall apart so we put it on the back deck. Bedroom on

The place is very confusing, you can't believe a thing on their website or signs you see around the hotel. At check in nothing was explained to us about what they have to offer as you would expect with a resort like this, so we went to the website and quickly found out nothing on their website or the signs around the hotel are right. For food, there are signs around for different options as are on the website but in reality there is only one place located in the old restaurant location. The pub isn't open d

Check in staff probably the only good thing here. They were nice and great. But other than that everything else was not the greatest parts even grossed us out. We decided this year to rent a villa through the hotel since waterpark passes were included. But the villa was just blah it needs updating for sure but also so many issues. Privacy issues since the bedroom shades were all broken. The kitchen was not fully stock or had really crappy old pots that were just gross. We went and purchased our own. Moldy c

Absolutely horrible experience. Didn't have our room ready at 4pm. They switched our room to get us into one because I had 2 screaming, tired toddlers first switch had a family in it, so they switched us rooms again. That room also had a family in it. Finally we got into a room by almost 6pm. Lots of items sold out, water park dirty and front desk staff was rude. Expect "Noah". He was the only competent one. Pay almost 300 dollars for a room and only accomodation given was a pizza voucher. We will never e

Our first night here was fine. Loved the room and the waterpark. Some of the issues on day one were stained blankets, no child safety locks on the sliding patio doors (we were 4th floor), and they don't offer a lunch service. Today, though, was pretty awful. Waterpark only open until 1pm, lifeguard was sleeping on duty, bunch of teens running the place, no lunch service and no dinner / bar service despite the signs saying they do. The arcade room was 100 degrees and the laser maze was broken. There was lit

Yesterday I was on the road coming from the twin cities, I had to stop at the Three Bears resort because Id felt a flare up coming on from my Health condition. I had explained this to a man named Michael that worked at the front desk. He showed GREAT customer service and even waited till my family were there to get me. He showed me that he truly cared. Thank you, Michael. truly Godsent

Overall our experience was good. Unfortunately, with the change in ownership recently, there were some hiccups. The restaurant wasn't fully staffed with a cook, so Friday night the kitchen wasn't open. The following night they had a small burger menu that from what we are told was just okay. We requested more room towels and never got them. We ran out of toilet paper and didn't have an extra roll so we grabbed some from the bathroom in the hallway. We had an extended room with 2 tvs, but only had 1 remote

We had a reservation for my daughter birthday to the waterpark, and when we arrived, they told us there was no reservation under our name. And here is the video of that day when we made the reservation, she took us on a tour and showed us what the cabanas would be like, and still, they kept saying there was nothing in the system. We were with our family and guests in the lobby and they didn't care nothing. No apology, no alternative solution, just confusion and very unhelpful staff. We planned this day f

comparing our visit from last year to this year, it was noticeable how downhill it has gone. Restaurant wasn't open, bar was open but not serving appetizers. Our villas were not cleaned, had to wear shoes the floors were so dirty. No vacuum or broom to clean it ourselves. Provided 4 towels for a villa that sleeps 10. Woke up at 4am to check on my kids sleeping on the pull out and the door going outside was wide open & continued to open on its own throughout our stay. Came back from the pool to the door open

Well? this place was supposed to be a spring break getaway for the night for my family of 4. I have talked to Noah, a couple of times. To make sure that my reservation was correct (did it online), and made a reservation for a cabana. He made it clear that we have the cabana. All we had to was to check in front desk and get it. Well. My family of 4 finally made it. Saturday morning we wanted to get our cabana and enjoy the water park before check in. We talked to the 3 women at the front desk. ALL THE CABANA

I n e v e r write reviews, but we are COMPLETELY disappointed in our first stay here and won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Wanted to take a quick trip with our two young boys to celebrate Mother?s Day weekend, so we found Three Bear?s. As soon as we check in, we're told half of the waterpark is shut down because of a broken pump. The website claimed the waterpark opened at 3. At 3:30pm, we walk down to be told it actually opens at 4. The cafe had basically nothing but candy, ice cre

Went to 3 Bears for a large family reunion, everything exceeded expectations except the dining and bar areas had very limited hours if they opened at all! All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This was our 5th visit to the resort and overall things have improved recently and we will return!!!

Great water park for kids. The water park was both water and air during a -1 degree day. With a 42 inch height requirement the kids were able to ride all the slides. As has been mentioned other reviews - tubes are a hot commodity and even rarer are the double tubes. Prices at the pool area food counter are insane with lots "we are out." $24 pizza, $6 domestic beers. Out of nacho chips, hot dogs and a few other items. If you have kids, especially between 6 and 10 they will love it. We stayed in a villa whic

Asked for more towels after we used ours, and we never got them. I had to take my own after seeing the cleaning cart. No extra toilet paper in the bathroom. Had to use the bathroom by the front door. The breakfast buffett at the 1878 was good. But a little spendy for limited options. For the waterpark: they need to either replace all the broken tubes or get more.

Do not base your decision to stay here by their website. We came with our 5 kids and stayed in a villa. The first one they put us in had a cat in it! Yup, a real cat. The room also was not clean. The 2nd villa they put us in was a little better but they are run down and not well kept (sofa had rips, blinds were junk, cabinet doors falling off). The water park is decent for young kids. They do not allow carry-in of food or drink. They had one place open which had very limited options. They were out of food a

We had our sons birthday party here yesterday (may 3). Checking in for the cabana was fine. The only issue I had there was that I was told on a previous phone call that it would be ok for one of my guests to bring in her own food for the party as she has celiac disease and he didn't think there were any gluten free options for her. We were told that wasn't the case when we got there yesterday. From there it gets worse. One of the towel employees was vaping while handing towels out, there was feces all over

Editing my review due to the awesome customer service I received after they followed up with me!* It may have been an off weekend for them with the Holiday in tow and I would be willing to give the place another chance. The indoor water park was a fun way to get out of the winter mindset for a bit and made lasting memories for my littles. ??

Great Waterpark. We went to the indoor one and it was just perfect for the 3 year old. Not very busy and 4 hours was plenty of play time. The staff was very vigilant in the Waterpark.

We recently stayed here and unfortunately, things were very "run down" compared to our previous stays. ROOMS : 2/3 of our rooms were ready at a very early time (great.. this is a bonus).. but the 3rd room was not ready until closer to dinner time. The sliding glass door in our room was letting cold air and frost in. The body wash in the shower was completely empty. There were no extra pillows or blankets. WATER PARK : There was BARELY any tubes to use and it was not even that busy. Had to wait for at least

Overall the place was great and we plan on coming back! Small issue with check in however, we didn't end up getting our room until 7pm. Normally we would have just swam while waiting, however we had two large dogs in the car so that didn't work. We will be back in June!

The location was close but not too far for a weekend get-a-way. We are a family of four. The room was clean and well kept. But it stunk so bad like feet the whole stay. Luckily, I had an essential oil spray with me that made it bareable. We were disappointed by empty bodywash and conditioner bottles. They only placed three towels in the room. When asked for one more towel, we were told we couldn't get one til next day. Weird. First hotel I have ever stayed that did not have towels available. Their buffet br

The good: staff was friendly and helpful. The waterpark itself was decent and had options for toddlers through adults. The bad: the room was extremely dirty and worn. We rented a villa and it was really dirty upon arrival. The floors were really dirty and there was old food on the previous guests on the floor in the bedroom. The walls were really dirty and showers had mold. One of the showers in our room didn't work. The maintenance was response though when we called to fix it. Overall for the price I'd s

Pretty disappointed with this resort. Rented a villa and to our surprise when we entered, we were greeted by a cat meowing under a couch. It had tore up the blinds and couch prior to our arrival. I looked for more animals in our villa and thankfully did not find any, but, did find some food under the beds and lights that did not work. We were moved to another villa and upon entry, it was 81 degrees. Needed to open windows just to not sweat and it felt more hot upstairs. Several light fixtures did not

Was here on Memorial weekend. Was not very busy. Nothing was open for food or drink even though the front desk said they are supposed to be. Wavy pool wasn't open. Lifeguards don't pay attention to swimmers and are texting on their phones. Can't rent a locker-was told they just take your money and won't open by staff. 2 of the 3 showered in mens locker room didn't not have handle on so couldn't use them. Should have driven a little further to Wisconsin Dells!

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! This place is not even worth writing a 1 star. First off our room was not ready at 4pm bc they were still cleaning it. Checked in an hour later to find out our room was not even cleaned. Sheets were dirty, dirty dishes ( we stayed in the villa) then to top it off we had bird nest in our closet. Dog hair, all around the villa. Complained to front desk and didn't have another villa/room to put us in. We had to wait for them to clean the furnace which they didn't they ended up locking the doo

Took my family here last weekend for my son?s first birthday. Growing up I've been here twice and had very fond memories so I thought it was going to be a great experience?? it was a ghost town. Terrible service, kitchen times didn't match up with the sign(staff were rude about it), 1st and 4th floors were super creepy/abandon, no kids activities, laser maze on ?free play? but no one could get it to work. They probably just said that since they don't know how to work it themselves. Mini gulf was a JOKE. I d

As a Choice Hotel member, this is one of the worst experiences we had as a family. We drove four and half for this this for 3 days and 2 nights, just FYI this is the third time we came here, I always believe in second chances but all three times there was something wrong major with the room or it was dirty that we had to move, the first time it was OK but this time the hotel was sold out we checked obviously we cant move but someone was in this room already and got moved since the garbage was full or the di

All dining options are closed, no vending machine snacks, room want ready until 2 hours after check in. Sliding door on the 3rd floor opens to a railing that my kids could climb over, furniture is unstable or broken, no coffee makers either. Do not recommend staying here as the amenities they claim aren't here. We also received no information at check in- no maps, no information about everything being closed, nothing at all but a key card.

Water park was great for the grand kids. Rooms were clean but no shampoo or soap for showers. Tub wouldn't drain. Restaurant food was good but some food cold. They were very short on help. Couldn't get a drink at the bar because no bartender. Not serving food the day we left because kitchen was down.

We had a birthday party planned for my niece. Her parents made a reservation ahead of time, and all the guests showed up, I even traveled from another city just to be there. But when we arrived, the water park was closed. No notice, no explanation, nothing. They didn't offer any help or solution. It was completely unprofessional and disrespectful to everyone who made the effort to be there.

This place is a joke. We had reserved a cabana for my daughter's birthday party over a month in advance and apon showing up was told they were closing in less than an an hour after our reservation was for. The ladies at the front desk said there was no reservation even though we had watched them enter our information into the computer when we originally showed up in person. They were rude and unhelpful just blamed the other people for the mistake. Apparently this is a common occurrence for this place as we

Considering they are recently under new management we had a good stay, there were some hiccups with things being open and stocked. But overall everyone in our party had a great time. The staff was absolutely one of the best parts. Theresa, Mike and Letty were all very welcoming and so friendly. The guy working at AJ's in the pool defiantly did not get enough credit either he did great for the limited options he had to sell.

Our family has enjoyed 3 Bears before. The online booking with Choice hotels was easy. The price was fair for a spring break weekday event. I called 24 hours prior and spoke with a guy who confirmed my reservations. We arrived 15 minutes prior to check in and was told our family suite was not ready. We were given our pool wristbands to enjoy the pool area as a perk. We preferred to decompress beforehand so we sat in the car. The young lady at the desk (Maddie) took our phone number and had a running list.

We had a great time watching the kids have fun and run around and play in the water and the slides at the indoor water park. It was nice that there were plenty of options for toddlers through teens to enjoy themselves. I can't give more than 2 stars though because of the following: We stayed in 2 of the villas. Check in was supposed to be at 4pm but our villas weren't ready until 5pm (thus early check in was not an option.) The rooms and bedding were clean but there was a decent amount of water damage and

This might've been the place to be 20 years ago. We won't be back to experience again. This time of year is spring break for many. It's going to be busy, so you'd expect they be prepared for it. Wrong - many things out of order: hot tub, water slide, etc. Many things weren't open. The pub wasn't open for food on a Friday night. Way understaffed and a complete lack of re-investment in the property it appears.

If I could rate this place ZERO STARS I would... We booked a room for the water park and they called us the night before and said they will only be open for 4 hours the day we had booked. Said it is because its the off season and they can limit hours as they see fit.. This is despite their website saying they are open from 9am-9pm and no indication of possible shortened hours due to "off-season". No refund, no negotiating price nothing... Why would anyone ever want go to a water park just to sit in their r

Booked a villa April 2nd. Get a phone call today that the owner cancelled my reservation. Also informed that they overbooked the resort. The only offer of any help was that I wouldn't be charged a cancellation fee. What a Joke for customer service.

Complete dump. Don't waste your time or money. Had to wear shoes in the villa it was so nasty. Mold in the bathrooms, water damage everywhere, and there refused to give us any extra towels. Waited over an hour at AJ?s pizza for a pepperoni pizza, and they still managed to mess it up. Mini golf was down, laser tag was down, basketball was down, half of the arcade was down. Sad and pathetic. They did let us borrow a board game though

No restaurants open, nothing cleaned, kids were young enough to enjoy the pool but besides that it was a waste of money unfortunately. No pool towels, walked back soaking wet. Arcade games were mostly broken. Hot tubs mostly broken. I never write reviews but want people to know before they go. Website has some false advertising

I can give this stay an overall 3 rating. The water park is perfect for my age kiddos. Kept them busy for hours! Our room was clean and fine. This isn't our first stay but probably our worst . The service and food is where things need improvement. I highly suggest going off site for your food needs. My husband waited in line at the waterpark "restaurant" for 45 min, and it only moved three people in line, so he walked out . When entering the waterpark we were handed wet towels. At supper one night , whe

Our experience here was mixed. It was off season, so I get it, but still you have a facility to run. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. The pool was great for kids. The arcade was expensive. The food on site was poor in the main restaurant and bar. The pool restaurant pizza was very good. Some of the staff was very helpful, others not so much and didn't act like they wanted to be there. I will give the pool staff and lifeguards five stars as the pool area was very clean, well maintaine

We brought our family for a 2 night stay as a Christmas present. We will never stay here again. First of all our cabin was in need of serious attention. One of the bedrooms light did not work. The TV.. no volume. Beds were very uncomfortable. You could have heard a mouse fart it was so echo-y. The kitchen was not well stocked at all. We Called to have maintenance come fix light in bedroom and they never showed up. Walls were nast dirty and in need of paint. Broom but no dustpan to sweep up. Now f

Brought 6 girls for a birthday party and they had a blast! They even got to do karaoke because there was live music!! Everyone was so helpful and nice

Don't waste your time and money! The waterpark is a dud. No double tubes for slides. Single tubes are very limited. The basketball pool only has a couple of balls that are in horrible condition, the climbing floaties are gone. Only one hot tub available, the other one is blocked off and out of commission. The pools are pretty cold. The hot tub temperature is not normal- it is the temperature the pools should be. We have come here for 4 years and this will be the last year.

We just had a wonderful family weekend at Three Bears Resort. Our Villa was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The water park was great, lots of available tubes and everyone had a great time.

I would give this negative stars if I could. We've been here multiple times in the past with great experiences. Went last night for New Years Eve/my husbands birthday. Once getting there we realized the hot tub was closed, the kids area was closed, the wave pool/lazy river and both slides: CLOSED. The restaurant was also closed. We tried to get drinks and were told they could not order alcohol until they sold what they had; meaning we had nothing to drink or eat. We were probably there for maybe an hour, pa

The water park service was slow and they didn't have half of the items ?for sale?. We could not access the WiFi with the code given with the villa. The cabanas were dirty. I don't typically complain, but it fell short of our hopes for the kids birthday.

My kids loved the water park. I liked the room but there was a roach in our room in the bathroom that came from a hole near tub. Service desk didn't seem like they wanted to be there but there was one last who was very nice and helpful.

Came to the indoor water park with my 3 kids. No double tubes available to go down the slide with them, and minimal tubes in general. We were not made aware of the hoods in the kitchen being non functional, and when we asked for hot dogs they said they didn't have any ready to cook on a Friday night. The $12 breakfast is a continental level breakfast as well. Extremely disappointed with our choice to come here for our kids first waterpark experience.

Went during the holiday. Limited hours were expected and communicated, but then they shortened the hours they originally advertised last minute. Luckily the one nearby gas station still had food or we'd have all gone hungry that night. Rock and a hard place, if you don't have the staff you don't have the staff, but you should be automatically compensating people for this without hassle. It shouldn't be on them to fix your mistakes.

NO TOILET PAPER!! Arcade barely functional. No towels for water park. Busted up hot tubs. No paper towels and broken hand dryers (and NO toilet paper at one point) in the women?s locker room?.makes you feel like you are swimming in a giant Petri dish. Food court was out of half the offerings. Check-in is advertised as 4pm, but we had to wait well past 5 before our room was ready. At least we had a clean room, but had to obtain our own toilet paper as the entire resort was out. Huh? Our room was fairly ni

Massively, massively understaffed. The staff that was there was great though. They tried their hardest...but they were lacking lifeguards, no cooks so the restaurants weren't open and the pizza place was so far behind, I don't think some people got their pizzas

We rented 2 villas for a family vacation with 8 adults and 7 kids. The villas were enough to get through the weekend. We liked the space they provided and the full kitchen. The beds are old and creaky, but everyone slept okay. One of our villas had some issues (clogged sink, broken dryer, whistling shower), but maintenance promptly fixed the issues. The villas were cleanish. They weren't spotless, but they weren't disgusting where you couldn't relax in them. The waterpark was not clean, it actually wa

If i could leave 0 stars i would. We stayed in three of the cabins with family for a weekend. The sheets were at least clean on the beds but the cabins are definitely not cleaned, found so many things on the floor of the cabins so much dust coming off the fans, toddlers grabbed things from under furniture from previous guests. We even had a condom in one of the rooms from previous guests. We also had the experience of having a dead rat next to us at one of the picnic tables within the water park. There is s

We arrived during winter break around 2:00 pm in hopes of checking in early, and if not, we would use the waterpark until our room was ready. When we first arrived, the front desk told us there was no way any rooms would be ready and stated they aren't even sure if the rooms would be even be ready at 4:00 pm when check-in is supposed to happen. I was staying optimistic and the kids and I headed to the waterpark. I came back around 4:30 pm and they said our room still was not ready and told me to come bac

We historically have loved three bears, having been there multiple times. No clue what happened in the last couple years but we likely won't be going back. The indoor/outdoor hot tub was drained, which was our favorite thing. The kids are was also closed, and conveniently they ended up closing the lazy river and all slides right before we left. The 1 restaurant was closed and the water park bar only had beer. The entire place just felt empty. Clearly whoever runs this place never learned you have to spend

Be aware they won't let you check in until 4 PM so everyone's trying to check in at that time. It's very unorganized. Our villa wasn't very clean and didn't have trash bags or soap, and there was a bat on the wall. The kids had fun in the water park.

Stayed here Friday and Saturday night for a birthday celebration for my niece. Overall experience in 2 words: Ridiculously disappointing!!! Wife and I checked into our room and was not ready at all. Beds were not made towels all over. Beer cans were left behind. Only upside is we were given a free upgrade. Sister in law and nieces room was spacious but their stay was horrible due to the constant running stomping yelling and jumping around by kids above her room. Told front desk and was informed they would

Stayed in July and the place was very quiet and dark. Seemed strange for a Friday/Saturday and the restaurant wasn't open. Kind of a ghost town. Our room was very dirty. We didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the room & ended our stay early. The water park is a nice size and good for younger kids. Lifeguards were not attentive though.

Tim(waterpark manager) wouldn't let us use towels as we are not overnight guests. Told me it's posted all of the website. Unfortunately we did not look at the website. Poor customer service. And the place isn't cheap. Also, appears to be run down, trash everywhere.

So.... As you look through the reviews you can see it just gets worse. No toilet paper in stalls. Dirty locker room floors. Elevator shakes. Check in at 3 ( not happening) 530 earliest with only 3 maids for the whole resort. Garbage left in the hallway with dirty diaper or colostomy bag in it. (Whole floor smelled). Thick later of dust coving the tops of everything ( look up at the water park). The large basket water dump still not working. Large hot tub still broken. Smaller water features neglected. Lazer

Review based only on recent stay: Let me start this off by saying that Three Bears is our favorite resort. I have been bringing many different family members and friends here over the past 8 years since discovering this hidden gem. We spend THOUSANDS here every year on multiple different trips a year. We are also local so we bring a lot of people in on random days or for events as well. Our New Years experience was like something I've never experienced in my life. I'm so sad at the way our New Years was ru

Really nice place, great staff. Had a great time. If you're looking for a place that's great for small kids or a kind of mid level water park that's affordable yet still beautiful and quality, this is your place. Just an all around fun experience. Thank you 3 bears, I'll remember it forever

It was absolutely terrible. We rented a cabin and the floors were filthy they hadn't seen a mop in years, the cabins were also extremely hot. The waterpark is a disgrace the hot tub was closed. Half of the tubes are just laying around flat the tubes are also filthy, the stairs going up to the water slide are not safe and are very slippery and loose, the locker rooms are filthy as well. Do not go here

Noah was a big help I can see he has it together. The other managers seemed like they had better things to do. We enjoyed our stay this time in the past we felt neglected. Noah went above and beyond. He was working the front desk and the sundries at the same time on a Saturday night any good manager knows you should have at least 2 people staffed at that time. I have a feeling the owner is cutting corners to maximize profits. Hopefully Noah gets a good bonus.

Extremely short staffed. Their only 2 larger slides were closed due to no staff. No towels. No food. We canceled and left right away. Waste of an almost 3hr drive. Absolutely ridiculous.

I usually go here every other year or yearly, the last two times I went. I got gaslighted. I requested the villa I wanted and they gave me a different one. I was then told they were booked up so there was nothing that can be done so i ended up spending an additional $800 to rent two rooms. This past weekend the same thing, wrong cabin. Dirty tvs not working, no general supplies like toilet paper. I was promised a discount and Manager stated she couldn't honor that because her employee shouldn't have stated

Waterpark was nice for little kids/toddlers. Lots of out of order or needs service things throughout, though. Definitely had issues in that area. But overall it wasn't a bad time.

Room was dirty pool area was dirty. Life guards were not setting a safe examples to children in pool area.

Went for a birthday party, was a tad crowded on a Saturday, but what water park isn't during wisconsin winter. Overall the kids had a blast.

We came during their off-season, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The Manager, Corey, in the kitchen was over the top accommodating for us knowing two of our family members have a gluten allergy. Those that expect quick service during off season should not go during off season. They did their best with the people they had, and we were fine waiting a little longer for certain things. Of the five waterpark resorts we have gone to, this one was our favorite!

Dirtiest rooms (villa) we ever stayed at?.dirty cabinets, bathroom, carpet, dishes, etc. Capet was not vacuumed and we found a blue pill on the floor (thankful one of our grandchildren did not find it). Soap, etc was left on the hallway floor. Blinds were broke as was the furnace ( had to turn it to 80 to get the upstairs to 62. Dishes needed to be washed before using them. In addition, did not have sufficient bedding and towels and the restaurant food and service were bad. We complained but there was

We were disappointed across the board with our stay. At check in our rate was higher than our rate on our reservation. There were 6 towels in our room for 10 guests. The pool was always out of towels, I checked three separate times in one day, hours apart, and each time was told they were all in the wash even though the resort didn't seem that busy. You also had to search to find an available tube for the lazy river or slide. Our room wasn't very clean, the sheets had visible stains and flies buzzed th

Needed a wheelchair accessible room for my 42 year old brother with an electric wheelchair. We got the suite with the bunk beds. I thought it was great. The tub is a shower chair type. That's okay. Would have been better with a wheelchair accessible one. The hotel room door does not open for him to open it on his own. It has a button for it, but the button just makes the fire alarm beep in the bedroom. I'd stay here again, especially because I have a one year old that was entertained in a stress free, quiet

No good restaurant onsite you have to go into town, a little outdated but the kids had a fantastic time

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
