Although there was a birthday party that took up the majority of the seating, there was still plenty of room on the bar side and outside since it was a nice day. The slices of pizza were huge and delicious. Will definitely be coming back again soon.
Finally got to try this place. The pizza is decent and definitely big enough. The toppings are kinda sparse for such a large pie. Which does make sense due to the thin crust. The service was on point and the place was clean. Probably won't be ordering another full pizza, however if I'm in a pinch I'd grab a slice to go. Give it a try. I did.
We love living local! This place started as a tap room and has evolved into a family style pizza pub joint. Beer and cider on tap and plenty of options in the drink cases for all ages. They have regular and vegan pizza pies that are down right delish! We tried three variations of vegan pie and were not disappointed! One was mushroom, one pep with pineapple and the last was a ground vegan burg! They offer by the slice - HUGE and can feed two people. Or whole pies in a variety of sizes. We were too hungry
If you big pizza, they've got pig pizza. The thin crust is alright, but we didn't love the sauce or the distribution of the toppings. It especially needed more cheese. We spent $15 on two slices of pizza. They were large slices, but not actually that filling. We could have paid double that for a whole 22? pizza, but didn't really need or want THAT much. As for vibes, the arcade room and street facing seating are great. The drink selection, including kombucha, ciders, and fountain drinks.
Awesome pizza and such huge slizes for about $5-$6. I was shocked the slices were this expensive until I saw how large they actually are, I wish I had a ruler for the photo for scale. Awesome pinball games seem well maintained and clean. Friendly staff. Pinball machines take $1 in quarters per play (typically 4 balls) and it's a great way to spend an afternoon. There is no ATM so bring cash or be prepared to go to the ATM in the gas station across the street or the bad next door. There is a quarter machine
Sasquatch is one of the best hangout places in all of Vancouver! New York style pizza by the slice or by the whole pie; an impressive tap list; plenty of non-alcoholic drinks; and amazing cocktails. Good sized (heated) patio out back, and a terrific lineup of pinball machines that are very well kept. Absolutely worth checking out
I love this place! Whenever I have buddies visit from out of town, I always make an attempt to visit. The pizza is good, they have tons of beer selections, several cider option and lots of hard stuff. Prices are good too! I'm also happy that they kind of have the bar sectioned away from any loud kids playing the video games in the center of the establishment. So, you can have a quiet catch up session if you want! Patio space is nice and the entire place is dog-friendly. Love that! Will be back soon!
Great beer, great patio, didn't try the pizza but it smelled great. Dog friendly, big plus!
I was told this was the best pizza in Vancouver so my expectations were pretty high. The pizza was pretty good, the crust was definitely more doughy than I would have liked. My main issue with the experience was the fact that there's no one there. No one to take your order and even with a long line of people there was no one around. We all just stood there for probably 15 minutes with the whole place just being vacant. I will give this place another go as the pizza was good.
Stopped by here for a quick lunch on a beautiful day. I didnt realize they had pizza by the slice, so it was much quicker than we expected it to be. They had a great selection of toppings, and HUGE slices. Bathrooms were very clean. We didn't play any of the pin ball machines, but we will make sure we have time next time we come in. Grabbed a quick drink at the bar, and I couldn't believe the great selection they had. Will definitely be back for pizza and drinks!
NYC style pizzeria. Slices are HUGE. One piece is enough unless you're super hungry or a big eater. They offer just slices or whole pizzas. Good selection of beer. And they have very good cocktails for a pizza joint. Solid selection of mixers. Unfortunately the best sweet vermouth they offer is Dolin. Nevertheless they have a selection of amari and both green and yellow Chartreuse. Lots of pinball and old-school video games. Only street parking available. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cra
Super cool place since they expanded. Big outdoor patio. Lots of seating inside. Game room, and the pizza side has plenty of seating as well. Draft list is very nice. Great selection of all types of beers. And they had 3 or 4 fresh hop beers as well. Pizza is fantastic. Crispy crust and not heavy and dense. It was surprisingly light. Served by the slice or a 22 inch. Great weekend spot to hang out and play some games. Definitely would recommend.
Passed by this nerdy bar/pizza place and were blown away, we got two different slice and were both more than satisfied. I'm personally not a fan of thin crust pizza but with how it's made here the food has great texture and loads of flavor for simple ingredients. The customer service was me and my boy friends favorite part of coming here, a gentleman greeted us with a smile and had a great energy to him and while we just sat down to start eating a employee met a war veteran in the middle while they were go
Pizza good. Salad good, crunchy and creamy. Great atmosphere. Helpful staff. Wish they would give the salads at the same time with the pizza, so I don't have to wait to long, by the time salad was received I was almost done eating.
We went for the first time the night of the Christmas tree lighting, which is always a family night. I couldn't ask for a better experience ????? The pizza was top notch and huge!!! The service amazing. They were super busy and kept up. The games entertained all the ages 5 to 14. The best part had to be my 5yr old grandson winning his Santa duck. He was so proud. Will definitely be back!
Such a nice treat! We have ordered pizza from the Hungry Sasquatch multiple times. Our family is vegan so finding a nice pizza place that makes vegan pizzas is awesome! Their pizzas are a bit pricey, but honestly, much cheaper than other places when you take into account how huge their pies are. I love that you can make any of their pizzas vegan by your request. Our favorites are the vegan combo and the artichoke. They are super easy to work with in terms of ordering both online and over the phone. Also, we
We just stopped in for a drink. The cider we chose was very good and the atmosphere was relaxed. There is a large gaming area in a room adjoining the bar. A third room it set up with picnic tables and had families enjoying pizza, with what appeared to include a Birthday celebration. There's a great mural of Sasquatch in this room.
One pie and two drinks $75 The pie was good. I can think of a few better pizza joints in Vancouver. This place has a full on Portland experience. Over priced drinks and employees with bad attitudes. Guy who welcomed us as we walked in to the order counter along with the ?by the slice guy? were nice. A few of the servers/ bartenders rude and dismissive. Just one of the incidents I was holding the door open for an employee why was carrying food out to the patio and he just about shoulder checked me and di
It's a vibe. Good pizza. Great brews. Games and all that jazz. We love coming for a slice and they veg/vegan options. Super rad.
Always a nice vibe, good pizza, and amazing cocktails. I highly recommend the sausage party pizza.
4 stars only because we didn't try the pizza, we stopped by for drinks. The SpongeBob themed cocktail menu was super cute. Love, love, love the wallpaper. The space is divided into pretty much 4 spaces, the pizza section, arcade, bar and outside seating. They were all cozy and pretty clean. The bathroom was really nice! Just a little creepy with that giant mirror. I don't think I've ever seen myself using the toilet like that before. ??????
I don't generally leave reviews but the pizza was so good and the experience I had was great. After making it home and realizing I had the wrong pizza they gladly made me a new one ready to go by the time I was back and they were very courteous about it. Recommend and would go again.
Now, I love my pizza. But even going to New York City Itself, they have my all-time favorite pizza. Pesto cheese with vegan ranch (yes, vegan ranch.) I'm not even vegetarian, but it is the perfect accent to an amazing pizza
Pizza was great?pepperoni, crust, huge portions. But I paid for the house pickles and didn't get them. Kinda killed the vibe. Still love this place, just wish the order came through right.
The bartender designed a custom (and delicious!) zero proof cocktail for me, and we had giant slices of vegan pizza. They only had one vegan pizza available by the slice at the time, but it was very good. And they had other vegan pizza options available if you ordered an entire pizza. They were also dog-friendly! The people working there were really nice and welcoming. Great ambiance. The interior is divided into a bar side and a restaurant side, with an arcade room in between. There was also a patio off th
Great pizza! Love that you can get it by the slice. We also ordered a pizza to go and it was huge. Fun space for families or for happy hour with friends.
I'm only reviewing the Hungry Sasquatch side of the house. I walked by in the afternoon with only a couple guests inside. This is the kind of pizza place where the pizza is on display and you order a slice. And I mean A SLICE. I chose pepperoni ??. The server slipped it into the oven for a few minutes and it was ready. They go through the pies so it was super fresh. Very large, thin, crispy crust, plenty of pepperoni. Just great. Not a lot of places in town to get a slice and a fountain drink for less than
We had a lot of fun! Upbeat, friendly, NYC style pizza, and games.
Thirsty Sasquatch Pizza on Main Street is hands down the best pizza spot in town! Their pies are packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and served at an unbeatable price. The friendly and welcoming staff make the dining experience even better, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends, this place delivers incredible food and top-notch service. Highly recommend for pizza lovers looking for quality and value!
One of my top favorite bars in town! The staff is awesome, good drink options, and a shitload of pinball. My only complaint is how insanely loud the metal chairs are in the game room when people slide them on the floor. That being said, I love this place and come here at least weekly! ??
Great Pizza, cool atmosphere, and amazing service very nice and professional. After reading multiple great reviews on Reddit about this place we gave it a shot and by far the best place. Takes quite some time if you order anything that is not already prepared and ready but the taste of the pizza makes up for that. Just writing this review right now I'm craving some, see you shortly!
Edit 3: dropped in for a slice and it was wonderful! Edit 2: Ordered this week and the pizza didn't have any hair that I saw. It was ok, the crust does seem different than the last couple times we had them. Maybe it was a fluke, but we'll order again sometime... Edit: Went back and ordered pizza. My slice had a hair baked into the crust but the staff didn't seem surprised. Was given a gift card for the amount of my food order but with the reaction... Won't be ordering food here again for a long while. ??
Great slices of pie! They ran about $6-$7 a slice and had a selection of beers on tap and in bottles and cans! They also have a cocktail bar ?on tap?! Super fast and easy to get served and employees were great!
Love everything about this place except for the taste of the pizza unfortunately. We ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of pesto cheese. The pizza looked great. It was thin but really long and wide. The undercarriage was nice and charred and there was no flop. The taste just didn't match up to how it looked . It simply tasted like melted cheese on dough. My girlfriend and I were both wondering why we couldn't taste any sauce on the slice of pepperoni. Overall I'd give the pizza a 6.1 out of 10. Which
Great pizza. Loved the pesto cheese slice. Atmosphere is that of a popping pizzeria with kids and adults on one side, a bar in the other, and an arcade in-between. Oh the expensive side if you're on a budget -- two slices and a fountain drink plus tip was over $20.
The food was good and the employees were nice but we had the big table since we were celebrating two birthdays and were told to move when a party had apparently reserved that table. There was no sign. Please make it more clear if you have a reserved table in the future instead of asking 10 people with kids to move. Otherwise, great food and games. Thank you!
Amazing bar in uptown. Bartenders are awesome, cocktail list and tap list are both great. And the pizza is top notch. Doesn't get much better
I love this place and their pizza. The rotating specials are always unique and almost always tasty. The dough they use is to die for. The staff are always super nice and remember our typical order. I would recommend the garden or the sausage party.
The most crispiest tasty Pizza I've had and a long time, and I've been up north for the last 9 years. Great pizza, great atmosphere and awesome people.
Loved the atmosphere and the pizza was great! Be prepared to wait a little on a weekend because this place is popular! In my opinion, worth the wait.
Really is NY sized pie & slices, which I love and haven't seen since I left NY. The only thing I don't like is they're super cheap with the sauce and the pizza is way too dry as a result. I don't think I should have to pay for 4 oz of extra sauce. Put more sauce on in the first place, and I'll happily upgrade my rating and order more often.
Fun place for a bite to eat and play some pinball. Like to get a crafty cocktail now and again, and they do cocktails well. I truly like their Cesar salad. The pizza slices are good.
Such good pizza. Grab a slice or an entire pizza. Slice sizes are really big. Pizzas are really big. Tons of fun pin ball tables to play at. Good drink selection also. Grab a beer or a soda.
Pinball machines to play, and the pizza is a huge portion, like how Sasquatch would serve it!
Great vegan pizza. Order by slice, mushrooms, something else and cheese. But it was a delicious dough and sauce. I want to try other vegan flavors soon. Had a hefe and some fun with this amazing star wars pinball. Great place, will be back soon.
I'm new to the area so I stopped by for a Slice, It was freaking huge, pepperoni and it's got a bite. Some of the best pepperoni I ever had. I'll definitely be going back.
Delicious food, friendly staff, very large slices, and reasonable prices. Only one disappointment: we had a reservation for a group of 14, yet very few options to choose from in the "by the slice" area when we arrived. Out of 7+ options on the menu (to the best of my recollection), only pepperoni, Hawaiian, cheese, and Garlic pesto were ready. Any non-meat-eaters apparently had three options upon arrival: Garlic pesto, cheese pizza, and salad. Most of the menu items for non-meat-eaters (Garden, "Fungus," an
The pizza was good. I'd give it about a B. Unfortunately, the place was so noisy my friends and I could barely talk to each other. The chairs were hard metal and very uncomfortable. You might consider taking out rather than eating in.
Pains me to leave a 1-star review, but this is one place I wouldn't bother coming back to. Here are the highlights of my abysmal experience: - Bartender did not greet us but rather suggested we order a drink immediately upon entering or move out of the way of other customers. Never mind the fact that you have 20+ beer options listed in size 10 font on a screen that can barely be read. Nor that she took no time to show us the QR code at the bar, suggest that we take a moment to review options, and come back
This place has a great, fun atmosphere and even better pizza! The slices are HUGE and have a perfect topping to crust ratio. We mostly come for the pizza, but the attached bar and pinball arcade are great too.
Came in for tasty holiday cocktails, really loved the Coquito!! Such a fun spot with awesome atmosphere. Will definitely be back for the pizza! Bar tenders were so sweet too. Great for date night or larger groups
This pizza is crrrrrrazyyyyyy good. It's huge! It's pricey but feels worth it. took a very long time for my husband to get a drink every time but that's my only complaint.
I like the atmosphere here. The back patio is quiet on a sunny day, pinball is always fun and it's probably our favorite pizza in Vancouver.
I get really frustrated because usually nobody will pick up the phone. Also they will put delivery available on their website but it's impossible to get seemingly on Tuesdays for some reason. On Tuesdays they consistently don't answer or call back for delivery. It's very frustrating. We have tried calling multiple times today, it just rings forever and we have also tried using their delivery phone extension (they have 2 options when you try calling, one is trying to talk to someone and the other is for deli
Beautiful place. Not beautiful service. Nasty attitudes, left me waiting to order while you're having a conversation in the back. As someone who works at a food service establishment, i would be embarrassed if i treated my customers the way i was treated here today. They made my pizza incredibly crispy when heating it up, crispier than it usually is when i?ve ordered here a few times before. Dude was just nasty towards me too, i asked to order a fountain drink and when i asked for my cup, he rung me up for
Best pizza in Vancouver! It's the real NY-style deal. Bar has great tsp selection always
Great pizza and more! Really fun pinball arcade between the pizza place and a bar with unique and custom made cocktails. Probably can make any drink requested. Nice addition to downtown Vancouver, I highly recommend The Thirsty Sasquatch.
Pizza is pretty damn fine good slices here. Damn fine! Sasquatch is divided into 3 sections one being the pizzeria and the other side being the bar with a small arcade room sandwiched between the two. Loved the 4 or 5 pinball games they had along with the Ms. Pacman and Galaga arcade there as well.
Great pizza and order by the slice makes the whole family happy! Also has a great drink selection.
This place honestly rules. Fresh slice with no flop, caputo flour, thinner crust, dry mozzarella, it's like all the pizza I ate in New York. The slices are ?pricy? at about 3.50 each but they're also twice the size of an ordinary slice. Staff is always super cool.
Ordered a custom pizza, tasted great. We couldn't eat it all. Great leftovers to look forward to and very friendly staff
Best pizza in Vancouver and pinball to boot! Our go-to place every time we're in town. Love all the great times had there.
The best pizza In town. I haven't tired any better pizza than here.
Spent our 20 years Anniversary celebrating at Thirsty Sasquatch in Vancouver. Great pizza, cold drinks and the best pin ball games we've played in years!
I really like the pizza here. It's not top 5 in Vancouver but always solid and 6 bucks a slice during happy hour feels like a bargain. Not a bad place to hang out but space is limited like everywhere else downtown. It gets loud in the evenings, also like everywhere else down town. They have a large variety of drinks and a healthy selection of non alcoholic options and extremely expensive ice cream sandwiches. Nice bathrooms and great employees. Definitely a mainstay for me in the area.
The pizza is huge slices and very good. The atmosphere has a very fun welcome to all vibe. Highly recommend.
Chill vibe, Justin is a great bartender! Dogs on patio allowed. Lively events calendar. Delicious drinks. Friend says pizza is delicious. They have a punch card and homemade dough.
I would bring all of my homies from New York here. Excellent slices, excellent foldability, and comparable bread. Best Pizza on the West Coast. Well done guys. - a New Yorker
Such a cute, fun place with yummy pizza and great beer. The device was excellent and friendly. We will be back.
Staff use the same spatula for all the pizzas including pizza with sausage and pepperoni. That meat grease transfers from pizza to pizza. The vegetarian and vegan pizza aren't vegetarian and vegan with animal by-products on them.
Pizza crust is SO EFFING DELICIOUS! Staff-GREAT! Atmosphere- fun and inviting! Love this place!
Great pizza and a few other things. Pizza is NY style 22 inch. Great pizza options and a large vegan pizza menu. Also can get craft beers wine and spirits local made. The hungry side is more for families. As the thirsty side is more a bar atmosphere but you can order pizza in the bar. They also sell by the slice. Has back patio and arcade room.
I really like the atmosphere here. It's very much a nice and laid back place. Their mixed drinks and beer options are great. The pizza is a nice almost new York style. Very greasy, but very tasty. The patio area in the back is nice and open and on a sunny day, it was the place to be!
Good pizza at a fair price by the slice. Nice spot!
The pizza is... massive! The pizza is good but not world changing. It's the novelty and the atmosphere that sell this place. They have so many interesting drink options that I sort of just wanted to sit and sample them all. They have a small arcade. It's the experience and I'm down for it.
Solid slice of pie and chill environment. Love that they are open past 9p. I definitely recommend this place for people in Vancouver.
Pleasantly surprised! Had never been here before. My partner and I stopped in to get a pizza and had a drink in the bar as well. The place looks great. I particularly appreciated the bartenders. They seemed less pretentious than most and patient with their college age patrons. Drinks were great. And not only did they have vegan pizza (shocked!) It was actually really good too ??????
Love all the outside seating. Employees were both very happy to help as it was our first time. Will be back!
Love the pen ball! The delicious pizza ! Quick and friendly staff! High quality ingredients! Amazing selection of micro brews! And kombucha! The atmosphere from the apparel to the wood tables, the open back area or the game room. Let alone the whiskey section next door. This place has it all !! Make sure to stop by during happy hour for the best deals and dollar off the slice !! Have a wonderful day you guys and thank you!!
I really struggle to love this place like everyone else seems to. I wonder if part of the huge following has to do solely with the ambiance. Every single time I've gone, my pizza is served room temp, even after they throw it in that little warmer thing. So, I thought, maybe I should get a whole pizza to-go so that it's a freshly baked pizza, aka, give it another chance. Once again, the pizza is straight up cold. I'm so confused by this. My other gripe is the sparse toppings. I paid $50 for a whole pizza wit
Drinks are stellar! Pizza is great but not enough turnover on slices that are both white sauce and red sauced based. Honestly the pinball room should keep children OUT on the weekends because they tend to over-punch, over-pull, and over-play the machines, and break them before prime pinball hours in the evening. The drinks are supreme and the mixologists remember who you are. We will be back!
My new favorite pizza place of all time. Giant slices and tastes amazing. Little hole in the wall spot that I think more people need to know about. Pizza is a little pricey but when you see how giant the pizzas are it makes sense :)
This place was so fun. The art was amazing. Pizza was really good. Overall I can't wait to go back.
Great place for some Pizza and some great drinks! Awesome staff, super friendly and helpful. The drinks are super, the Pizza is better and the back patio is a great place to bring your 4 legged friend to join. They have one section heated. Update!! Hot cider!!
The vegan pizza wasn't super good. The cheese was straight nasty, but that's not really the fault of the restaurant since vegan cheese (especially hot vegan cheese) is very hit or miss. I appreciated that they say which cheese they use on the online order. But other than the cheese, the rest of the pizza was meh. The crust, seasonings, and flavor was pretty unremarkable. I honestly like the cheap chains better seasoning-wise. But I really respect that they have so many vegan options and make it so easy to k
Nice local pizza and a variety of drinks, very delicious pizza, friendly employees, and plenty of seats.
Largest pizza I have ever seen. Staff was helpful & friendly. Atmosphere was 'Friday night out'.
Great patio on a sunny day for tasty beers , the pizza looked yummy but didn't get a chance to try.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
