Many praise the variety of activities (laser tag, Nerf wars, bounce houses) and friendly staff. However, some criticize malfunctioning laser tag equipment, accessibility issues, and occasional disorganization. Customer Reviews

This is the coolest place in town. I'm 35 years old and had an absolute blast with my son and his friends. Can't beat the prices either. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!

Great place for kids, besides laser tag they have nerf darts, a free game room, bounce house, pitching machine... And the list goes on

Took my daughter for the nerf wars part. It's a smaller room and the guns were too hard for her to cock back. She is 4, and pretty strong for her age. But I'm not sure about the rest of the laser tag. They do have a couple arcade games upstairs like air hockey table, giant connect 4 , and big jenga.

This place is awesome and the staff are very professional. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to have a party or just to go out and have fun with friends and family.

Awesome place! State-of-the-art laser tag equipment and super kid friendly! This place has endless potential!

We had a great experience here with my son's 13th birthday party! We had a very large group of kids. It took a while to get everything going with so many kids and needing to use a lot of the equipment at the same time. They all weren't able to play laser tag together because some of the equipment wasn't working properly (it happens ?????). So we split in groups and no other parties were there so the kids could easily find way to entertain themselves for a bit. Gavin was a rockstar managing our whole group!

The zone is a wonderful place to host parties at. Great customer service and many fun activities to choose from at a good price. I will definitely be returning!

Friendly staff, great gear, many game modes, and lots of space. Arena has 2 stories, first one being pretty open but the second is dimly lit with lots of corners. Tons of fun for $20. Gavin was the man!

Had an amazing time at The ZONE for my sons party and it was waaaaayy less stressful as a parent and alot more fun. We paid 1/2 the price we have for other "kid parties" and he had dodge ball and a bounce house and nerf wars plus music and air hockey and Jumbo Jenga, basketball hoop all kind if things. Even the parents were having a blast and playing. Well worth the money if you have an event coming up definitely recommend the space. Also the girl who was working the counter was super sweet and nice and she

The Zone - Kokomo Indiana This is a horrible establishment. My son and his wife rented an area that was supposed to be for a private party. But it was not it was taken over and ruined by other people that had booked the opposite site with teenagers. My grandson and his schoolmates are 10 years old. They had to be harrased and intimidated and forced out of their area by a gang of disrespectful teenagers and their rude parents. They wanted to make sure that they destroyed my grandsons party, busting through

Don't come here for laser tag. Basically all of their equipment is broken, so you're gun will either not work at all or you'll be straight up invincible because your sensors won't work. The colors that are supposed to light up to indicate who is on whose team do not work. Sometimes randomly when you're killed there's just straight up no way to be revived. You're just out of the game. Our group of 12 had a bunch of people try to swap out equipment, but they ran out of backups, so a bunch of us were just stuc

We've hosted a lot of birthday parties and The Zone laser tag party we had today is the best by far. If you're considering booking a party here, 100% do it. Customer service was top notch. This is not one of those things where you need to go out of town to get a better experience; The Zone was a great time! The laser tag party included 6 five minute rounds of different style games (teams, free for all, zombies) and all were led by a party host. Party room was included as well. Couldn't be happier!

Such a fun time!!! There were 8 of us that went for my son-in-law?s birthday & we all loved laser tag! The employee was friendly & very helpful. The place was clean & well maintained. We will most definitely be back soon!

This was a fun place for a party. A lot for kids to do.

Had my two youngest birthday parties here and it was awesome! Staff is incredibly friendly and caring. It is well put together and everything ran perfectly! My kids cannot wait to go back and we already have another party planned!

Number of reasons wrong with this place numero uno.. The lazertag equipment is super low quality when I was there the headbands would not light up like they were supposed to and every 5 minutes we had to switch to a completely new gun and headband which takes game time away and on the stair case you walk down and on the platform it sorta dips in just doesn't seem to stable. The second thing wrong with this place is where it says it has a wheelchair accessible parking lot...it does not, there are a good numb

With a little more work this will be a great place for a child's birthday party. It was a bit unorganized while we were there. Bathroom needs a GOOD cleaning. But the kids had fun playing with the Nerf guns.

Definitely a great experience & within budget! If you haven't tried gellyball or laser tag this is the place to go!

Went to a party with my friends to play laser tag and eat pizza, it was pretty fun. The only problem was some of the laser tag gamemodes didn't work, but still one of the best places in Kokomo to have a party for young kids to young adults.

The place was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The laser tag equipment worked great and looked very cool. The laser tag arena was laid out well and it had a good atmosphere. 5 stars. We will be coming back.

We attended a birthday party at The Zone and we had a blast! The party room is clean and spacious. The lobby is cozy with a pool table and lounge area. The kids loved playing laser tag and the playing area is over the top amazing with multiple levels and realistic combat field. You can also rent a huge gym here for sports practices or wedding receptions.

I only dropped my 6 year old off for a birthday party but upon entering all the building all I could smell was mildew. Of course at 6 the smell didn't bother him. But what did bother him was there was no ramp for people who can't use steps. It bothered him that his grandmother had to walk up two sets of stairs that were about 6 steps each maybe more and she walks with a Walker. So before I recommend The Zone there should be an entrance for everyone.

This facility is not handicapped accessible. Climbing two sets of stairs is the only way in. My niece was having a birthday party and I could not attend because of the stairs. I thought all businesses were supposed to be handicap accessible.

This place is a blast! Jelly ball is miniature paintball but water, laser tag is fantastic! Full gym! Nerf wars! Game room! Awesome

Me and a friend of mine came by to check the place out the owner was extremely nice. Took the time out of his day to give us a tour of the place. Will definitely be coming back again and he even played a few games with us. Such an awesome place to have a good time around Kokomo

This place is a fabulous hidden gem of Kokomo. By far one of the most intricate laser tag courses I've been to. I booked a party for 14 and we had a blast. Please support The Zone to keep it going!!!

The owner was very helpful and took extra time to give us a tour and it was an awesome atmosphere. The kids had alot of fun playing laser tag!

Looks like a bowling alley. Oh, it's a repurposed bowling alley. People were nice and kids had fun.

We went for my brothers Birthday we all had a good time. We will b going back. The guy at the front desk was coo as ever

Nice place, but it needs to be handicap accessible for the guess that want to attend . Not to play Lazar tag, but be there to be part of family party's

Nice facility. Plenty to do. Nice staff. We play basketball and volleyball here often. Our kids do the walleye ball and lazer games

Had a good time for my daughter's birthday party friendly staff! We all had a good time with laser tag

Went for child birthday. Played nerf guns in black lights. Was fun. Helpful employees

We visited the place for my great nephews birthday, and all of the kids had a blast.

We had a fun time in the laser tag area,. It's a pretty cool place to have a party for a kid.

It was an a amazing experience. They have the best laser tag and a very nice facility were you can do just about anything.

Fun place to bring the kids, multiple tactical lasertag games, full court basketball, indoor batting cage, dodgeball and more. Book birthday parties or business outings

Great equipment. Ariana helped us. She was an awesome host for our work group afternoon fun!!!

Supper fun even with only 3 guys playing. Ariana did a great job helping us choose games and keeping it mixed up.

Must call ahead to make sure they have an opening. Went there as a walk in and was told to come back another day because they had a big party booked but parking lot was almost empty.

This business is not ADA compliant! Tall stairs and no access for those with handicaps. Facility needs to comply with federal guidelines!

We had a really great time. The atmosphere was very clean, friendly help, and so much to choose from to do.

Staff very friendly, laser tag and gellyball very fun

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
