Customer Reviews

Great selection of pinball machines. The Atari arcade machine was awesome. The Pac-Man machines where you can play with two or four was a lot of fun. The selection of beer was great. The bartender was awesome. This was a relaxing place to hang out in and I look forward to going there again. Sioux City needed this place.

My wife and I just discovered this bar a few weeks ago and it's fantastic!. They serve some very delicious non-alcoholic drinks. We were also very pleased to discover we could bring our 12 year old son here. If you enjoy pinball and vintage arcade games ,you will Love it like we do. 10 dollars of tokens lasted us more than an hour - and you certainly can't play at places like Tilt with 10 bucks for more than about 10 minutes.

I am from San Antonio, Texas and didn't think there was much going on in Sioux City, IA. Wow Sioux City has grown and downtown is being revitalized!! Especially on 5th street where there is a new BarArcade The Warp Zone !! 21 and up they have old school pinball machines !! As well as Nintendo and Nintendo 64 (Golden Eye anyone 4 player ?! ) Lindie Stauder is putting her heart and soul into this place. From game themed cocktails to local brewery draft beers !! Come check out The Warp Zone right next to Jack

So much fun! Bunch of classic arcade and pinball games. Lounge around with old school Nintendo ranging from the 80s up to the N64. They even have Duck Hunt! Very expansive drink menu with unique craft beer and lots of non-alcohlic options. Highly recommend coming down here with friends for a fun time. The 4-player Pacman is a guaranteed blast!

It's always a great place to go whether you need to let loose like Snooki or to just let your nerdy side show. I live not even a block away & I go @ least once a week. It's my safe place & they're always keeping the customers wants/needs in mind. I've met one of the owners & she is actually so funny. Still have yet to try their food but it's gotta be as good as their drinks. My birthdays coming up here soon & I CAN?T WAIT to spend it there too!!!!

A bar that deserves to thrive in the area! Cheap for drinks and hours of fun. Games free or paid.

This place rules. A true gem in Sioux City. Cheap drinks, good specials throughout the week, all the pinball and arcade cabinets are in really good shape (theres nothing worse than a pinball paddle that is broken lol) and the staff I've met seem super duper nice. Cant ask for more!

Cool little place that fills a good little niche market in Sioux City. Fun place to spend an hour or 2 playing some pinball or retro video games & having a few cocktails.

Chicago called, they want the Malort back! Haha glad it's spreading. I'll be sure to stop by if I'm ever in Sioux City. Saw you guys on Reddit. Do you guys have milk steak?

Finally! Sioux City needed this place and here it is. The variety of drinks (including lots of non-alcoholic options) is *chefs kiss* magnificent. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Being a person in my thirties with no children, it's wonderful having the option of enjoying a night out to play games -pinball or otherwise-in a child-free environment. We're rather limited in options of places in Sioux City in that regard. Sometimes you just want to unwind after a long week whilst playing PacMan, Dr Mar

Fun mix of pinball and other games. The games only take tokens. Bartenders helpful and cheery. We had a great time.

Fantastic night out in SC! Good people and a great vibe, this is a fun find for families or couples or friends. Decent pizza, good drink specials and SUCH GREAT GAMES!

Haven't had the food but it looks delicious. This place is a blast and the prices are good. Love the pinball and all the old school videos consoles set up. Really just a great time.

The bartender was super cool and knowledgeable about local stuff and it was a safe place to wait for the bus. Honestly was blown away by the excellent game selection including free play consoles from the 90s/2000s. Great spot even if you're not a gamer!

Super fun place with great games. The bar service was welcoming. Our group had a blast.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
