Customer Reviews

Great place for young people and gamers. Me and my son as always have to try the food. We ordered the 12-in pepperoni Pizza well done. The sauce was good not sweet. The sauce and the cheese seem ooze to the center of the pizza. The cheese was good but not the best. One thing that I and my son agreed on was the crust was very good. We also tried the chicken strips and they were just okay. We didn't play any games. Was there just for the food.

If you're looking for something fun to do, I highly recommend the Vault Ohio. It's a great place for dates, parties, or family outings. They have tons of gaming PCs, VR station, and delicious food! Everything here is reasonably priced. A must-do in Ohio!

The Vault is staffed by some of the most welcoming and genuinely friendly people you'll meet. What brings everyone together here is a shared passion for video games?it's the heartbeat of the place. Whether you're planning a birthday party for your kids or just looking for a fun spot to hang out, The Vault is a fantastic choice. They've built a real, authentic connection with the community, and it shows. It's more than just a gaming spot?it's a place where you feel like you belong.

This is a very cool place with a great atmosphere. Our kids loved the VR and all the gaming PCs. They have tons of games to choose from as well. Parents are allowed to hang out at the concession stand without having to pay to play. Prices are very reasonable and staff was friendly and very helpful.

My son had the best 9th birthday ever! So the vault wasn't our first option. But ended up being the best option. We were suppose to go to a 40 acre paint ball game to play a ?live? game of fake Fortnite. And for the kids to get away from the screens. Well the rain had other plans for us so I was searching for something. Thankfully we came across the vault and I read their ultimate party detail on the website and seams like a great fit for us. The kids had so much fun on all the gaming consoles. The PC?s wer

The Vault is a great place for eSports and all things gaming. It is geared towards consoles, PCs, and VR. They have an eSports arena and a VIP area for birthday parties. They also have great food and drinks. Please note, although Google is listing this business as gambling in Portsmouth, Ohio. It has nothing to do with gambling. Again, The Vault in Portsmouth Ohio isn't gambling, has nothing to do with gambling.

I took my kids down there to meet some friends. I personally have never been, but they have. The staff was amazing. One showed me price board and answer questions I had, another staff showed me the games room before we went back, and once kids went to play the others said to let them know if we need help or had questions. It is a pretty cool place for people to hang out and game together. The prices and passes were good too.

I went to the vault with a friend and it was so much fun, so much to do, stuff to eat and drink and the employees were very nice and helpful! I am most definitely coming again!

Jaden ran my daughter's birthday party today and he was extremely helpful and so nice. The other employees were also just as awesome. Defintiely a great place to have a small birthday party if you have gamer kids.

A very fun place, they got lots of games downloaded on the pc. So you don't got to worry about install really. As well the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend anyone to check it out.

Very good food, clean and well staffed. Very affordable.

EDIT: I take it back. He wasn't friendly at all. I was very wrong about him. Super friendly staff, amazing get-ups, and this dude named Craig or Greg was super nice and helpful.

We tried to bring our two youngest by here and it was definitely closed for renovation while the hours clearly had it designated as open. Now I have two very disappointed kids who were looking forward to their first arcade experiences. It is closed, mark it as such.

It's an awesome place for a birthday ..

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
