We had our 4 yr old granddaughter with us on a rainy Saturday, after looking around for fun indoor things to do- we decided to give The Slice a try. We are glad we did! The pizza was fresh and delish, The staff are friendly and courteous, And the variety of fun arcade games kept us all busy for a couple of hours. The area is small enough to keep an eye on your kids with ample seating area to enjoy your pizza. Hands down one of my new favorite places in town!
I ordered a Personal Pizza and it was Delicious! Cheese was hot and Ooey Gooey stringy! An abundance of the toppings. Food was out quickly and very fresh. Service was Great and restaurant was clean. They had a Arcade in the restaurant for Party's, Families and kids. Or of course anyone whom wants to play and have Pizza! They serve Beer if you just want a good pizza and beer.
Stayed there for over two hours of playing. I took my whole family. We ordered food and the food was brought out quickly. The pizza was pretty good. After we ate we played games. You can play quite a bit of games for 20 dollars. Had an amazing time and my kids loved it as well. Definitely will be going again.
An Excellent place to take Children... Safe Space - 1 exit Plenty of different games, Prizes In-House pizza dough You may ask for exceptions for dietary restrictions! The best part of our whole experience here was the quality of the pizza. Since we've moved to the area, I've been searching for this thin soft type of pizza. Not only was I impressed with the food, but the arcade games are top notch with a game card and vending type of system. My kids went wild. There is also one claw game that charges $5 from the game card, but you get as many tries as it takes to win a prize. The staff was super friendly and informative. I also needed a clean up at my table, as my kid and
Very friendly staff, Help get my order at last minute. Great pizza. Will be going there again. Update: I went again today. The kids love this place. Now we are doing a Birthday Party next month here.
This is a fun little place, especially when you need an indoor activity for kids, plus the food is yummy. I don't really feel like the arcade games are overpriced, and there are machines where you can immediately pick your prizes based on the amount of tickets you've accrued on your game card. There's also a claw machine where you win candy every time, and that's especially rewarding for little kids who might not feel like they can do as well at some of the other games. There's a really cool animated zombie
We had our first experience with The Slice tonight. Everything about it was great! The staff was fantastic. There was a mix up with our pizzas, and the staff was very quick to inform us about it, fix it, and even gave our birthday kiddo $10 of extra game play. We will definitely be going back. My 3 year old even had a good time, and she hates most public places ??
When you order a pizza, make sure to tell them to cook it well done! If not there pizza will get really soggy underneath. But if cooked well done their pizza is surprisingly great! Kids love playing here.
Had my daughters birthday party 3/24! What a fun and fantastic place for any occasion!! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, very accommodating and the kids had a BLAST!! The food was exquisite, we will be going back!!!
We gave each kid $20 and we all played until the food came out. We ordered three meat and pepperoni. The pizza fell apart a bit but it was absolutely delicious. We went on a weekday and there was only three other families.
Slice Pizza and Arcade is one of our go-to spots when we're looking for something fun to do with the kids. They've got a great variety of games, and the pricing is super reasonable. My kids are especially obsessed with the claw machine?it guarantees a prize every time, which makes them feel like winners no matter what. Tuesday nights are the real hidden gem?half-off arcade games is a phenomenal deal and perfect for a midweek treat. The pizza? Always made fresh and consistently good. It might take a little
My first time eating here and the pizza is delicious. The crust has a nice crisp to it and the restaurant is very clean and nice variety of video games. Great customer service also.
Was desperate to find a fun place to take my daughter one day when it was raining. Ended up here and had a great time. We played a ton of games. They have the arcade basketball machines so I was personally happy. Set the high score 3 times in a row. Just so y?all know who did it lol. But overall this is a really fun spot. The prizes are a little lackluster, but it is still worth it.
Ok, as far as local places within an hour drive of my home, this place has the best tasting pizza BY FAR. Just the right amount of seasoning on the crust and in the sauce. Feels very authentic and reminds me of village pizza, in New York. PARENTS WILL EASILY BE ABLE TO EAT HERE IF THEY LIKE PIZZA. as far as the arcade, it's small and simple and in direct eyesight from tables so feels comfortable enough to sit and eat while kids play. I would say it's affordable. you can load a game card for however much you
This place makes an awesome pizza! Usually you can expect frozen pizza quality from kids? focused pizza places like Chuck E Cheese and Ci-Ci?s. But The Slice makes craft style pizza even though it has a for kids focus! They don't skimp on the cheese or the sauce, and the crust is some of the best I've had in years. We didn't order extra cheese, but they load the pizza up with it. If you take the kids with you, you can expect to have more pizza to yourself too as your kids will mostly just want to play games
I can't say enough kind things about the (staff?) that were involved in preparing my pizza! Once they learned that I was allergic to gluten, they knew instantly what they needed to do! They started with fresh gloves, then by covering a pizza tray with parchment paper and a cauliflower pizza crust. Then they told me they pulled fresh toppings from different containers so that there would be no concern of cross-contact. I asked them if they would run my pizza through the oven twice to ensure that I got a cris
There was a glitch in a couple of the games but the staff was immediate to come over and correct the problem. Everyone was extremely friendly. We had a small birthday dinner for my daughter. The prices of everything were fantastic. We will definitely be going back in the future
Fun arcade with tickets games and neat prizes. Pizza is very fresh and yummy.
I went with my family for the first time tonight. The business was SLAMMED. The two ladies working were running around and completely overwhelmed. They were making the food, serving people, and everything else, and you could tell they were flustered. It was 80 degrees, and the ladies were hot! Food took an hour to come out, but this was an evening where there were 2 people working, and the place was full! I spoke with the employees, and they said they have never been that busy, especially for a Wednesday ni
I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. We like to come here every other month on Tuesday for pizza and games and always leave super happy! Recently I had my daughters 6th birthday here and they exceeded all of my expectations. The Table were clean and ready to go, our food was perfect and to order, the staff checked in periodically without being disruptive and were so incredibly thoughtful and kind. The pizza was delicious and cooked to perfection. It made a day juggling littles so pleasa
The slice is the best. Our kids love this place. The staff are awesome, the games are fun and the Pizza is delicious.
Love the slice went tonight 11/12/24. Best place for birthday parties, pizza came out fast and delicious, and the crew working tonight was fantastic!!
Surprisingly good pizza and lots of fun fans for kids as well as a couple TV for sports. Staff makes sure you are treated right
We love coming to eat and play at The Slice! Such nice people, great pizza and a lot of the games are like the arcades in Gatlinburg. Definitely going to be a weekly family night location!
Had my 6yr old son's birthday party there and it's a great inexpensive place to have a birthday party at. Plus the pizza is great too.
First time that we've gone there and we ordered The Dill. Turned out to be a much better quality pizza than most arcade pizza I've had. We were both reluctant yet intrigued by a pickle pizza and it turned out to be so tasty that we would definitely order it again.
Took my grandson for his 11th bday and he loved it. Pizza even got his approval. The dill pickle pizza was pretty good!
It's a very good little arcade with a nice selection of games. Unfortunately when I went they did not have many prizes, but I imagine they just get cleared out during weekends. I wish I had been able to spend my tickets, but I will definitely be back. It would be GREAT if you could exchange tickets for things from their menu, it would be awesome to be able to get pizza and fountain drinks for tickets. Since the prizes are all for children, when you're an adult just going out with friends your tickets just p
We took our grand daughter to play arcade games here, she loved it. The pizza was good.
We celebrated my nephew?s birthday. What a fun place. Wish we had something like that when I was growing up.
My 6 year old son loves this place! We spent about an hour eating their delicious pizza and he played games. He only got a $10 game card and had a solid 30 minutes of play time.
We tried the dill pickle pizza and it was delicious. Took about 18 minutes from order to ready. Games are a money pit but they will keep the kids amused.
This is an amazing place that is definitely a great place to take your children, they have them in their best interest!
We love our visits to Slice! The kids love the variety of games and claw machines. The card system for tickets is excellent too. The little prizes are always neat too. The food is tasty and comes out in a timely manner. We're very grateful to have such a fun place to bring the kids for birthdays or just because.
Loved this place and my grandboy does to! We had a blast eat and played for over an hour for under $40
They have a good variety of games and almost everything was in working order. The pizza was a bit greasy but I don't order pizza for the health benefits so I just dabbed it was a napkin, the flavor was fantastic and the crust had a seasoning that made it taste like breadsticks. It wasn't overly crowded and the employees were pleasant and efficient, it was a nice way to spend a few hours with the family!
Fantastic experience!! We had a last minute get together for my sons birthday with about 20 people and the staff were kind and helpful. The kids had a blast, and the whole day was very budget friendly. Not to mention the pizza was awesome! We will definitely be returning!
Honestly I'm really happy with my experience here. I chose here to spend some fun time with my kids after getting back from a 9 day trip and they did NOT DISAPPOINT! First if you haven't been on a Tuesday the arcade games are Half price! We had a blast and realized that our pizza had been tossed. After saying something to the person in the back they made us a completely new pizza ??! How awesome is that! Customer service was top notch I've never had a bad time here!
Okay so.. As an arcade/pizza place, i didn't expect to get the best pizza I've ever had? HOWEVER it is absolutely amazing.. i was pleasantly surprised? their pizza is DAMN GOOD. Seriously, it's delicious? so so fresh.. the supreme in particular but I've also heard great things about the dill pickle pizza. I swear I'll try it soon.. the supreme is just so good i am finding it hard to get anything else?last note, as an avid ranch lover, i need it with my pizza, i have to say, their ranch is some of the best
Our two Grandchildren & us had such a fun time on the Granddaughter's Birthday. The pizza is delicious. We have taken them again also. The only thing was several times they had to swipe their cards to get a machine to finally work, this was quite expensive. If the games were a little less & worked with one swipe it would more preferable for "Slice", & the parents & Grandparents to take them to your establishment. But it was fun for the kids. Please just keep the machines fixed, so it doesn't end up costing
My wife and I love this place! We can get good, fresh pizza, play lots of arcade style games, and just hangout like we did in the 80's and 90's growing up. Its not a huge place and is nothing like Dave & Busters or similar places but I think that's one of the reasons we like it so much, its more reminiscent of a mall arcade back in the day and has its own type of charm. As an added bonus they serve adult beverages so there's no need to get jacked up on Icees!
The food is wonderful, a big surprise since this place has a deceptive appearance and looks like it WOULD serve you frozen Walmart pizza, but everything is fresh and they have local TN brews! You would think with this my next critique would be uncharacteristic of a place serving fresh pizza and local brews, it took me by surprise to. The glaring downside is the INSANE wastefulness of this place! I support local small businesses as an alternative to greedy wasteful corporations, so when I go to one that has
Very clean place. Pizza is good and a great place for the kids to play. The staff was extremely nice.
We love this place! The pizza is so yum and our kids have so much fun with the games. My husband and I usually sneak and play a few of the games ourselves! You collect tickets on a card and you can get prizes at the end or save them and go for a bigger prize!
First time coming here and it will definitely be a repeat. Kiddos had a lot of fun. There's a good variety of games and prizes. The pizza was good as well. It may have just been the time, but despite all the games, it wasn't overly noisy like some arcades are which was a huge plus for us.
Had our 8 and 10 year old's birthday there. Rented out the plqce privately. It's a little high, but definitely worth it. The pizza was great, and we had a blast. Thank you!!!
Great place for a tot and teen's birthday party ???????????????? Pizza and service were great and definitely had fun on the games!!
Staff are great here. Always greeted with a smile. Pizza is actually good too! They stack on the topings and don't skimp. They have a decent amount of tables but they do get packed on specific days (Friday Saturday etc) The games are fun too. They don't have a ton but have a good selection and the kids love going there to get their tickets, which is digital and on a card system. More importantly is it's clean!!! We have gone a few times and it's always clean no matter the time we arrived. Good place. Go
Had such a fun time here with the kids! The pizza is a major plus to the games! Definitely a great place to check out in your free time or a special occasion!
Lets talk about that PICKLE PIZZA!!! You have to try it to believe me, but it's sooooo good!! I was invited to a birthday party here and am now considering having my own daughters birthday here. I can't brag enough on the staff, they are always absolutely fantastic!
Went for the first time. Ordered an all meat pizza that did not disappoint! Our pizza had so much pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. Was very satisfying. Kids enjoyed the games. If the game did not work, the staff was very helpful and friendly with assisting to our needs. Also, games are half priced on Tuesday?s. So we will be going back!
We had my son's sixth birthday party there. From the reservation to the day of the party the communication was prompt and kind! The day of the party they were very helpful with ordering and serving and very accommodating! I loved that we could see the kids at the games while we were at the tables! Super great experience and we will definitely come back!
It was our first time coming here. Pizza was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Grandson enjoyed playing games and winning prizes. We will be coming back.
I take my son so he can burn off some energy. Play games and have a good time. They have adult beverages for me haha The Pizza is one of the best in town! Great place.
Took my kid there for his 4th birthday. Pizza was great. The games were fun, however it's a bit hot in there. I understand the ovens probably keep it on the warmer side but it made for a little bit of an uncomfortable experience. Other than that the staff was great. Place looked clean.
Went here with my 3 kids, brother in law, and niece and had a great time. Awesome addition in town. The pizza was delicious and priced fair, we loved the games and thought game prices were about the same as similar places. The kids are all already looking forward to going back.
We had my grandson's birthday here and my daughter reserved a long table and got a package that came with 3 pizzas, drinks and 'tokens' for the kids, which are placed on plastic cards that they can swipe to play the decent selection of arcade games they have. You can also add more money to the cards; and before they leave they can use their accumulated points to get small toys from the prize machines similar to Chucky Cheese. The kids all had a blast and the pizza was hot from the oven and quite tasty. Defi
We called and reserved tables for atleast 20 people days before my sons birthday party, and we get there and they give us one table. Our entire party had nowhere to sit while they ate. Finally another birthday party gave us a couple of their tables after we had been there for an hour. They are just unorganized with their planning. If they didn't think they would have the room to accommodate us they should have told me when I made the reservations. My son and his friends still had fun and the pizza was good,
I called in to place an order and the worker who answered was very rude and did not even want to take our order. Then after I only ordered one pizza she quickly told me when it would be done and hung up immediately. Since I was not done with my entire order, I had to now call again. She answered with the same tone and would hardly let me add something to my order. Then again before I could say another word she tried to cut me off and tell me the time and hung up. This experience alone makes me not ever want
Had really good pizza and the kids love the games.
They don't serve customers after 8:15pm even though they close at 9. Called to make a to go order and was told their ovens were off because they needed 45 minutes to cool off before they closed? Never heard of that. Seems like they'd cool off just as well after the actual closing time. No manager on duty? No supervisor? Are y'all just letting kids run this place? What a joke ??
We love this place! It's clean and the games all work. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful! It's my favorite pizza in Cookeville too. We've had a couple birthday parties here and they made it SO easy and fun!
The pizza is decent, the service is great, and there are just enough games to make it more fun than your typical pizza dining experience.
I enjoyed visiting Slice with my family, even if the pizza is overpriced. However, during our last visit someone stole my 7-year-old's game card. We lost money and tickets. The pizza is incredibly greasy. My eldest son threw up after consuming one slice of cheese pizza. My family will not be returning.
Very friendly and helpful staff/owner. Clean and food was great. Pizza was really good. The dough is we really enjoyed uthe Hawaii pizza. Wings and salad was spot on. The 7 of us had a great time.Plenty of games for the kids and prizes to win. Thank you for a great time. When we come to Cookeville we will be back.
This is a good local place for hosting birthday parties. The pizza did not disappoint and there are a fair amount of games; enough to keep you occupied while your pizza is being made. Give them a try if you are wanting to get away from the franchises.
Incredible pizza. Chicken-and-bacon with white sauce is phenomenal. The standard cheese is great, too. Crust isn't greasy, has a great mix of crunchy and chewy elements. Would order their pizza take-out style if I lived closer. It's really that good. I kind of expected this to be almost an afterthought, like Chuck E. Cheese pizza (similar business model, right?) but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza isn't the cheapest, but I'm totally ok with that given the quality. Arcade game selection is a little sm
Found this place completely by accident. The pizza was fantastic. We tried the pickle pizza as we saw it was something they were famous for. It was so good. Only thing I'd change would be cutting pickles smaller and covering more surface with them. The staff was top notch.
The food, games and atmosphere are top notch. The owners run a great business. We will definitely support this local business and wish them nothing but success.
We won a Nintendo switch out of a light machine!! The games are super fun and the pizza is great. It's mid range price for big pizzas. Games are either $1 or .50 cents. They have claw and light machines that you can win prizes in. Excellent experience!!!
Games were a blast!!! We sat our drinks down and one were took unfortunately...lol. one game didn't work, it was the clown one, it just took our tickets. Anyways, cheese pizza was ugh nasty to us unfortunately. Idk how pepperoni and cheese was. Very sorry but being honest from us. Everyone is different though! Will be coming back just not ordering pizza I don't think.
Pizza is average.. it's pretty much self-serve
I am out from AZ visiting my grandkids and they wanted to come to Slice. I figured the pizza would be like Chucky Cheese's, card board. I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was delicious. The staff was great and the kiddos had a great time. I high recommend coming here.
Staff was very knowledgeable when ordering a GF pizza. Was great to know that I can take my kids and we all can enjoy and eat together.
This place is worth coming for the pizza alone. $6 will get you a personal 1-topping and a drink. The arcade has got 1 of everything, nothing too special. It's great to go here on the weekdays when there's no birthday parties.
4 yr old grandson loved the place. Great pizzas & beers for the adults too. Good selection of games for the kids. Employees are super friendly and very helpful!
The perfect family restaurant. Friendly staff, entertainment for the kids and GREAT pizza! I appreciate the thought that goes into the experience- can't say enough good things.
Toned down version of Chuck E Cheese. Little kids going buckwild. Although, there is nothing more therapeutic than releasing your stress on some clowns with a plastic ball. Pizza is pretty good. Most game are 1$ a play; I wish there were more 50 cent options.
Such an amazing place. Great pizza and really fun games. You can win tons of prizes in the claw machines!!! So much fun
UH-MAZING. Great pizza, fresh and hot. Cold drinks, super sweet people working there and amazing atmosphere! This is one awesome place!!! They made my little boys birthday party so special, I can't thank them enough.
The pickle pizza is a must have!! The Slice is a fun place for kids to enjoy good Ole fashioned ticket winning games that can be redeemed for prizes.
I got it with extra cheese and bacon their lunch special that's $6 and it comes with the soda. For a couple more dollars you can get a beer if you want. But I had to drive home. It was amazing, I would definitely, definitely recommend it.
Didn't eat there, but it smelled great. Everyone else enjoying their food, it looked good, but we had just ate.
The pizza is great and the kids love the place. It is a bit expensive, but I'd rather spend local than go to a chain restaurant with arcade games and bad food.
Me & my grandkids have been here couple of times & we had so much fun! It's not as big as other similar places I've been too but I like that because I usually have at least 3 or 4 kids with me & I want to be able to keep up with them & still let them have a good time! The prices are reasonable & staff friendly & helpful!
Great for parties and cheap to reserve too. Food is good as are prices. For good measure, they sell beer and wine. Beats chuck-e-cheese hands down on quality, affordability, and staff.
My little one loved the games and I loved the pizza! I got the Cookeville hot chicken and was surprised at how good it was! Will def go again ??
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
