Customer Reviews

We visited Retrocade this weekend for a girls night out and it was a BLAST! Justin was incredibly helpful and kind. The games were super fun and they even had games that I had never heard of! It was such a fun night! I highly recommend retrocade for your next party or just a fun activity out!

Man, if only there was a pool table and I could smoke my squares while playing, I'd feel like I was back at Good Times instead ita Fun Factory come back to life. The only thing I'd recommend is getting a popcorn machine so it's smells like the ole FF! Good stuff, man. Go support this

My son and I have played an hour today and we'll definitely be back. Great games of my childhood and my 8 year old loves to play them too.

Retro-Cade is welcoming, accommodating, and such a fun environment for all ages! We had a blast playing all of the games available!

Visited their new location on 9/28/2024 There is no way this place is up to code on anything. The ceiling looked like it was going to come crashing down on us. Insulation was hanging down from the ceiling. Hope that doesn't get in a kids hair or eyes. Random screws and junk floor level on the window sill. Light bulbs, and used dirty beanie babies were in the claw machine. Half the games didn't even work. This place was absolutely aweful, it was bad at their last location and figured we'd try one more time a

Retrocade is such a fun, chill atmosphere! The perfect place to spend downtime with friends or family. Not too loud or overstimulating like many arcades, and has a ton of options!

The man running the place was very nice. The games were fun. The atmosphere was that of an arcade. Over all a fun time while we were there.

Amazing small arcade! There are lots of vintage games with a nostalgic feel to it. Great for all ages. We had a birthday party there and it was well worth the money. The owner is super friendly and always amazing to work with. Kids had so much fun that they lost track of time.

Love the new location. Great deal for admission. Will visit every time I'm in town.

Half the games there don't work ?? and the ones that do lag or are broken. They have a speaker on the paying counter so you can't even hear them talk. And the lady there was rude. And I doubt they ever wipe down the games. Wouldn't recommend

Purchased a Groupon and my kids had a great time. It's got a lot of fun old games that reminded me of my childhood. My older kids had a blast playing air hockey. It's a cool place to get out the heat and enjoy some good old fashioned fun!!

I had a great time with pre teen kids. The staff was friendly and a good amount of the games were working. I would go back again.

The value for what you get can't be beat. Staff is super friendly and just let you have fun and provide a safe and inviting atmosphere. Super relaxed and chill Saturday night movie nights for the win. Would recommend to a friend and will visit again.

It's a great place to go and hang out with friends. I like to visit when I'm in the area, and I always have a bunch of fun! They have a nice selection of games and I absolutely love the Internet Jambox thing they have there. I played 'Never Gonna Give You Up' on the speakers of the machine. Time based payment is also really cool and very affordable.

More people should visit this arcade too support a small business here in town. Flat fee and unlimited gaming for family fun.

Lots of retro arcade games. Go and relive your childhood.

Great throwback. Clean and safe atmosphere for kids of all ages. Held a birthday party here after pizza at the Pizza Shoppe. Kids loved the freedom of playing any game and I loved the fair price.

I had a really good time here. There is a lot good of good classic arcade machines. My only complaint is they don't have very many rhythm games. The one game I really want is Taiko no Tatsujin, But that would be pretty hard to get.

Pretty nice retro arcade with a nice selection of games. Several machines have been converted to LCD screens and a few need some TLC but overall I enjoyed my time

Great games for me, my wife, and 4 year old. Owner was very nice and had chosen great stand up and sit down games. The hourly prove tag takes the sting out of losing a quarter that i always felt as a kid. Well with the ride up from kcmo

This place is awesome!! Came for the first time with friends, my 6 year old loved all the older games. It is also not very expensive.

Fantastic place. Went yesterday and we had a blast. Will be coming back many times. Also, is the Sonic Championship machine playable or will it be playable any time soon?

Its cool that that we have Pump It Up here in town but I just wish we had a bit of a newer mix. Prex 3 is just so old, it would be nice to get a cab running Prime, Prime2, or ideally XX, although I know getting newer machines isn't cheap.

This place is fun. Seems run down inside and there were more than 3 games out of order. It was off the beaten path for us, but for a rainy day and bored kids this was a cheap fun thing to get out of the house.

We've been here multiple times. Had a party here a week ago and they were awesome. Kids had a blast playing games.

Pay by the hour video games. A great concept, and even better in reality. Most of the games worked well and the wife and I had a great time. We look forward to another visit.

Decent fun for the kids while enjoying the nostalgia as a adult. Some games are worn down pretty bad, but they have many classics that most 30+ years Olds grew up with.

We had a great time. We were looking looking for something fun and different and we found it. Very inexpensive and both our kids and ourselves had a great time. We will definitely be going back. Thanks again.

HARD TO FIND BECAUSE THERE IS NO SIGN .not a huge selection of games but you pay for all you games at once there is an hourly rate and its like 10 or 15 an hour for whatever game you want to play. And if u dont like retro they also have an xbox.

Cool arcade to enjoy a variety of games. Well worth the price paid. The owner is helpful and friendly. Good place to let kids learn what arcades are all about.

Good old school fun. Some of the games are a little glitchy, but that's to be expected with games this old. Play by the hour for a set price, games are rigged for free play!

Erin and I went here on our date night. Played some retro games and air hockey. Neet place to go and have a little fun.

We have tried to go like three different times ???????? it turns out it's never opened??we will keep giving it another last time to give it a try.

good value and a lot of fun, a great place to spend a couple hours with some classic games

Love this place. Prices are awesome and the amount of games to play are insane!.

This is a neat place. Remember when you could go to the arcade for hours with just a handful of quarters? Well this is just like that. Pay a flat rate and play as many games as you can!

Great place to play the classic arcade games with your children at a very reasonable price.

Not a whole lot of games, but a very fair price. Would go again, definently. Especially because it's nice to help out small businesses.

So many games from my younger years and great prices. Clean and safe.

Great prices and good fun. I wish there was a larger selection, but still pretty awesome.

It was small, dirty and several games were broke. Also the owner was very rude complaining of past customers and the Groupon service

Highly recommend. Great fun at a reasonable price.

Super fun classic arcade hangout. Our family always has a great time.

Love this old school arcade. Had a blast. Will definitely be going back often.

Very cool place. Awesome old school games

Fun, enjoyable place here in Leavenworth! Support this great local business. Thanks for being here in Leavenworth!

Lots of classic arcade games! The cost is reasonable for some nostalgic gaming fun.

Very nice place. Also has a working DDR machine which is hard to come by in the area.

So many games Me and my kids had a Wonderful time that did not break my pocket

This place is so much fun on a date night!! It is well worth it!

Decent selection of games, great prices, and not too crowded.

Friendly staff. Kids had a blast. Will go again

Awesome place to hang out before my flight at kci. Cheap game and cheap entertainment!

Super awesome old school arcade. Takes me back to when I was a kid. I love it and my kids love it.

Great place! Family place! Can't wait to go again..

Affordable all-ages fun. Took the kids. Will be back.

Love this place. Nice place for a date night or just to kick back after work.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
