Awesome themed night ! Attended the SpongeBob night and the attention to detail was amazing. The staff was kind and funny! Was so happy to have a krabby paty with some kelp juice ?? hope to attend more
If you're a fan of 80s and 90s arcade games, this place 100% delivers. Great selection and the machines are in a very well maintained condition. Food and drinks are also quite exceptional.
Cool retro arcade with a nice bar and good food. A little small but definitely worth checking out!!!
Quarters was AWESOME AND AMAZING!!! talk about nostalgia, the food was great, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was great. The service was great. I had some of my favorite arcade games I played when i was younger. The best way to go is to book a spot, so you're guaranteed to be able to play. It does get very busy. This place screams 90s. I'll definitely be going back.
Loved it here. The decor was awesome! Even the bathroom had space invaders in the tile floor! The staff was super friendly, the food was shockingly good (we had the cowboy burger, loaded Tetris tots and fried cheese curd) and they charge by time, not each game, which is really nice. Drove 1 hr 15 to get there and it was worth it. Wish they had pin ball machines, but the craft beer and cocktails make up for it!
Cool place to kill a few hours, the kids like it, food is good quality, and their staff is really friendly and outgoing... especially the guy with the mohawk and mustache. He was super chill on my first visit here explained everything in detail and was super personable yet professional. My don had a blast, and we'll definitely be back.
soooo much fun with the games- really hits from a nostalgic standpoint. not from around here but so glad i got to experience it! Piper was the greatest bartender i?ve ever had and the drinks were delish :)
Used to visit this place often when they first opened but less over the years, not because of any particular reason. Upon visiting again, have noticed a number of things: food quality has been driven downwards with less convenient options, while all machines are in freeplay there is also a lot of poorly functioning or outright broken machines, the Tuesday special now only lasts for 2 hours. While these aren't deal breakers the food is a big issue. The last 3 times I visited, I had sub par food whether it
Good retro 80s vibes. Very nostalgic atmosphere. The arcade games were a blast from the past and also some starwars themes as well. To bad there's no mario. I'm wondering if these people got the old arcade games that were at the hadley mall back in the day
Very fun. Set hourly rate for all-you-can-play vintage arcade games. Fantastic cocktails, delicious "fancy" bar food menu. Gets busy/crowded. Great for kids, equally fun as a date. Maybe book ahead if you're set on going. They have specials too, our Tuesday gametimes were BOGO.
Great, fun, retro gaming experience. The food is not great and the menu isn't large. However it is bike-trail accessible and has plenty of drinks.
Super cool and relaxed arcade that is kid-friendly and has a huge variety of vintage arcade games. Pricing seems very reasonable for the amount of games.
Everything about this place is awesome. Creative yummy food, awesome mocktails and cocktails, extensive selection of beers on tap, friendly and fast waitstaff, and the games are best kind of nostalgia.
A very fun place to be. Great games that are well maintained, food is very good, and I love the art on the walls. I do wish they played the music less loud though.
The Quarters Barcade is an absolute blast! The atmosphere is lively, with a great mix of arcade games and a huge selection of board games to keep everyone entertained. Piper was amazing?she was so welcoming and took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. The energy of the place is perfect for a fun night out, whether you're a gamer or just looking for a great vibe. Highly recommend checking it out!
Great little spot. Awesome choices for the arcade and great options for all kinds of food. Great local choices for beers and sodas, great menu of food options and fusions. Everything we tried was delicious. Fast and friendly service. I highly recommend whether it's for a quick lunch or a fun night out with friends. Nothing like retro gaming for the soul and some good drinks and food. Go now!!!!
Insane place. Super chill and cozy. Great staff and awesome food! The kids love this place. I love the classic games myself.
Graduated from UMass this spring and miss this place all the time. Amazing vegan selection and drinks and super fun.
I'm 53 year old man and this place made me feel like a teenager again! So many classic games. Great for too!
Retro gaming, friendly atmosphere and environment, good food and drinks. Did I mention the retro gaming?? Lots of fun titles to play, arcade style.
I went to Quarters this past weekend and had such a nice afternoon there. The space is decked out with themed art, vintage games and knick knacks, and eye catching decor. The food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There is also a lovely outdoor patio option. I'll definitely be back!
Awesome atmosphere. Very cool concept of having classic arcade games with bar food and cocktails. I will go back again to this place. May need to find a bigger spot once it becomes more popular.
Well worth the $10 for an hour of play! They had a great variety of games and plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly! We went Wed afternoon and it was very quiet. We didn't get any food so I can't speak on that though. I'd definitely do another trip here!
Quarters is amazing! Incredible staff, great prices. I went there on my birthday and they just made that day really special and memorable for me.
Really fun here! I was expected a full on arcade but it's a few arcade games along the wall and it was still enough to keep us busy for like,45 minutes. Food was good too,bar there too!
A nice bar in Hadley with a short but good local beer list and a nice selection of mixed drinks. They have a ton of old arcade games that kids from the 80s and 90s will remember fondly, and most are a quarter. We didn't have an opportunity to try much of the food but what we saw looked like good got bar snack food.
Looking forward to starting to get out and visit my fav places again! It's always a great time going to quarters, it's fun for all ages and great for a date night!! In the past it would feel crowded but I'm sure they have figured that out now, everyone should visit this place!
Really cool nostalgic place. Like going back to the 80s and 90s arcades. Not huge, but they have around 15 to 20 games. $10 for an hour of unlimited play when I was there. They do theme nights and run specials. Hotdogs are really good. I ordered the fully loaded Chicago Dog and it was awesome! They make their own fresh Ice Tea and Lemonade. Can't go wrong with the Arnold Palmer! Fun place, check it out!
This was so fun for me and my 2 friends. There were a lot of people there today and today was my first time going there. But if they are always this busy they are gonna need to expand haha. The Tetris Tots were so good. Crispy on the outside but hot and moist on the inside!
This place is amazing! You do not have to compromise between kid and adult fun here. Great selection of 80s and 90s arcade games, really good food, and a great bar. My 8 year old daughter, wife, and myself all loved it.
We loved it here so much! Great food, fun atmosphere, lots of vegetarian options, really well made drinks, friendly staff... They pay attention to every little detail down to the Trapper Keeper menus and it pays off!
Fun place to go with your kids but better to go with adult friends. My son doesn't care for the video games here; however, lots of kids love this place. It's a good spot for a birthday party. The place gets really packed on Saturdays/Sundays and holidays during the school year. Great bar. Very good food. Prices are a tad high but you are paying for nostalgia and high quality menu items.
What a surprise we found with this little hidden gem! Not familiar with the area and rolled in off of some good reviews to grab a quick lunch. Place was absolutely amazing! Staff was the best. We ordered with Aaron and Niko and they were about as good as you can find anywhere. Great dudes! Upbeat, knowledgeable, and helpful. Food was off the charts for bar bites and the video games were endless. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
First visit. Booked for a private party for 9 people a la covid. I'm an 80's girl so I recognized and loved seeing all the memorabilia. Food was really good. Mixed drinks were good as well. Again I forget who wss there but she was super nice, we even got to try one of her new drinks. Downside was that Some of the games didn't work. But, I would totally go back again covid and otherwise.
Your establishment is quaint. If you were to have Skeeball, air hockey & pinball, that would be fantastic. My friend & I weren't totally thrilled. Have a nice day
Love this place. Drinks are good and so are the prices. Just a fun place to go.
Pretty rad, great beer, good food, super friendly. Excellent place to play old cabinet games with friends or to occupy little ones while you have a pint.
I've come to this spot a few times and never really had any issue except it being busy. This time however when we visited I was a little shocked. We bought two hours of game time for two people, two nonalcoholic drinks (due to medical condition I cannot drink so we really were looking forward to me having options ? I will say if your partner drinks but you don't they have a great selection), and an appetizer, and it was 50 dollars. For two hot dogs, with tip it ended up being nearly 20 bucks. For 70 dolla
I've been to a lot of "barcades" in my life from Brooklyn to Seattle and this is a sweet and unique one. Tucked into a little corner of Hadley, it happened to be near my AirBnB. It's a fun, friendly place with brightly painted walls, memorabilia, and a video game themed drink menu. I like that they choose a specific, lo-fi era of late 80's - early 90's games. There were a few games with broken joysticks or not working but everything was mostly in great repair. The staff was sweet to me and the hamburge
We stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago. The food was good and the games were very fun. You have to try the Tetris Tots!
A little gem off the beaten path. Family friendly bar vibes just packed with 80s and 90s nostalgia. But, it all felt honest and not "forced" like some places might. On top of that, the food was delicious with plentiful vegetarian and vegan options. Definitely returning next time we're in the area. Tetris shaped tots while playing Simon and Gauntlet? Classic.
7 guys drive an hour from CT for the cereal buffet on Saturday morning. We all had a blast! Great choices for cereal. Superfriends on the big screen. Playing all those games brought back so many memories! And morning cocktails. What more could you ask for? The host was also great! We will be back!!
Pretty neat place, pay to play $5 for 30min or $10 for 1hour. Food is good
One of my favorite Mass pitstops! Great Hotdogs and food, yummy craft beers and who doesn't love old school arcade games!! Also the have Amazing Live events like Trivia and Bob's Burgers Night where they make burgers from the show!! Just a great time for young and old! Friendly staff too!!
Pretty awesome find! Old school arcade meet bar that also serves vegan food?? Yes please! Trapper keeper menu!! Good food. Falafel was a little disappointing with three small falafel balls but other food was good. Tetris tots!!! Heavy handed on the drinks. Cereal Saturday sounds awesome too. May have to come back!
Cool place, old style video arcade with adult beverages. Lemonade is home-made, awesome. Friendly attentive staff, outdoor seating right on a.perfect bike path. We will be back!
I love this place, my children as well. Nice staff and delicious food. However, the food is a lil expensive IMO. In addition, a few years ago the Quaters brought Daniel Pesina (Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat), also they do lots of activities. Is a really nice place to spend with family and friends. Kids will love it!
Went for a friend's birthday. Welcoming and accommodating staff that ensures a safe experience for patrons. You can really tell they care about their guests. Absolutely wonderful experience and can't wait to go back.
It was my first time there and my son asked to go for his birthday. It was inexpensive, fun, and now I can't look at cereal the same since we went on a Saturday morning. Brought back so many memories since of course I'm a 90's kid. Will definitely go back soon
Greatest Place Around! Such a rare gem of a place from the vintage games, great atmosphere and delicious foods / drinks it's always a great time! Staff is friendly and environment is always so welcoming and vibes are always great. Decor is super fun and exciting too! If you're in the area you don't wanna miss this place! ?? ????
Good food at good prices. Outdoor seating only right now but a nice litt area right off the bike trail. Some different drink choices. Worth a stop .
I haven't been here in a while. The place was packed. Parents bringing thier kids here on a Sunday afternoon. We had tetris tots and boneless wings. And they weren't overdone and they were delicious. Glad i went
Vintage arcade games are paired with an above average selection of beers on tap. The food wasn't impressive that's the reasoning for the 4 stars. Other than that this place is great!
Great games, tasty cocktails, the unlimited play pass is the way to go! Loved the big band remixed sound of popular songs on new years eve!
Best place in Massachusetts if you are into old arcade games & beer. Plus they have a great Vegan selection.
Great place for some basic munchies, video games, and of course Karaoke!!!
The place is chilly so bring a coat.. But the food and drinks are awesome! Classic video games.. Godzilla movies... But horrible music... They should do more classic wrestling events..
Love this spot! Great old school games, music, and good food and drinks. Fun for our whole family!
Friendly great good and drinks unique experience of retro arcade games
Any place that uses a Rad Dog Trapper Keeper to hold the menu is perfect in my book. Really fun place, cool people, great arcade games.
Great spot on Saturdays for a family trip. $10 for adults and $8 for kids from 10am to 2pm all you can eat cereal and all you can play games.
Great place! The arcades bring good memories??. Love the menu.
Cool retro atmosphere: if you survived the 80s and early 90s you'll love the games, decor and music. Food is good, with appropriate nods to arcade games. Staff is friendly!
Our go to barcade. Wife variety of games. Can't beat budget Tuesdays.
Best gaming experience ever...My kids and I love it here. Very cozy... the staff is polite...games change every so often but it doesn't take away from.the after school 80's arcade vibe
Good place to grab some fried food and play a few quarters with of arcade games. If you've never been it is definitely worth a stop.
I was in town for just the night and had a great time! The food smelled and looked delicious, and all the drinks were so creative! Thursdays are free play for $10 and karaoke. Good vibes
Love the games! Love the food! Love the atmosphere!
First time eating at Quarters last night. I went because it was Vegan Night. This place did not disappoint! Great vibe- warmly welcomed by Mary and Niko. Mary had some great recommendations for vegan dining- had the AMAZING deep fried artichoke sandwich- ORDER THIS if you go! had a side of their homemade chips with onion dip- delicious. Spoke with Nic and Miles the chefs. They take great care in preparing dishes, put a lot of thought into the menu. Highly recommend this place. Really nice outdoor
I LOVE the quarters with my whole heart and soul but PLEASEEEEE turn down the music during karaoke. It is too loud! We love the rousing performances but also would love to have a conversation while waiting to sing our hearts out. Big fans of quarters karaoke just trying to protect our long term hearing!
I love this place, it's clean and the staff is nice and welcoming. My only issues is the spacing of the interior and that some of the video games would be either not working properly or unavailable. It feels kinda narrow and crowded. One day, I'll try their food and if I can, I'll give an update.
1980s Arcade with bar and bar food. Plenty of great non alcoholic options! AS A PERSON WHO REMEMBERS ARCADES let me say...these are the games you hope are in an arcade...terminator, outrun, spy hunter, 1942, frogger, tetris, ms Pacman, mortal konbat, and a few great ones you forgot about. Food is fast and reliable. People are super nice.
Affordable eats and gaming all in one place! Their themed nights are an absolute blast!!!
I took my kids here one Sunday afternoon. It was a pretty neat place. The food was a little pricey for what you get, but it all tasted good. The selection of games was really good, too. (Although they were missing a few staples. No Street Fighter II? Come on, guys. And at least get ONE pinball table.) They have really great special promotions. Saturday morning all-you-can-play games and all-you-can-eat cereal bar? That's amazing. I feel like this place would be really fun to go out drinking on a weekend.
The quarters is so fun! I've been there for dates and also just to hang out with friends. I've had a blast every time. Also had the best karaoke experience there ever when people were still comfortable singing with strangers. The food and drinks are good, and they have delicious vegan options as well. The staff is friendly, and I will most definitely be going back.
Oh man, this place is so much fun. Like a Time Machine.
The food was yummy. The games were fun. I almost wished there were more. The shining aspect of this place was the staff. They were super friendly, attentive, and honest. I dropped an envelope with money in it and one of the staff got it back to me.
Food is good, nothing fancy. There are vegan options. It's great for families, fun for kids and adults to hang out and catch up.
Went yesterday with my family off the bike trail and had the best time! Our order (with a bunch of modifies) came out fast and was just what we were craving and was perfectly done. The patio was well set up for safety and fun looking! The staff was super sweet and accommodating to us all. Keeping social distance they still made my kiddos feel special. I can't say enough about how great our visit was! We will definitely back again soon! ??????
My fianc? and I went to The Quarters for the first time for Cereal Sunday. We walked there since it's close to our house and on the bike path. I wasn't sure what to expect because it was our first time there, but once inside it was pretty cool. The room was smaller than expected and there were only video game machines and board games available. I was hoping for one or two pinball machines or maybe a billiards table as well, but no luck on that front. The all you can eat cereal bar was also smaller than I wa
This is my favorite hangout spot to go with friends or the kids! Friendly environment and lots of fun!
Have been here on multiple occasions and love it every time! Their cereal and old cartoon Saturday mornings are fun. Games are almost always all working and we always have a lot of fun. Food is good too and there are vegan and vegetarian options too. Service is always awesome, everyone there is really nice. Totally recommend and will be going yet again soon.
Really nice place. Had fries with chicken tenders and it was pretty good. The lemonade was awesome. The staff can be a little bit friendlier though. Overall, is a good place to catch something quick to eat/drink, specially if you're on the bike trail.
Nice place. The drinks are good and priced well. We didn't order any food but what we saw come out looked tasty. There were more kids in there than I would have liked. Good variety of retro games to choose from. If I'm in the area I can see myself stopping in again.
The Quarters is an excellent bar. We have been going for over 5 years and the service is always fast and great quality. I love the staff - they always make an effort to be friendly and very welcoming. Overall, because of the pandemic, I really like the change from actual quarters to wristband play -- it makes the whole bar a little less chaotic and more enjoyable. Drinks and food are definitely fun and tasty! If you're looking for a fun bar scene, this place is it!
The staff is friendly. The food is quite tasty and very inexpensive. The draft list is small but well-cultivated. The bar is well-stocked. The atmosphere is great. Family-friendly, outdoor seating, perched on the rail trail, and of course there are the classic arcade machines...perfection? Almost, it could always be bigger but that's not a negative.
Good food with a number of vegan options. Some fun old school arcade games to pass the time. I wish the place was a little larger and had a better selection of games and maybe a pinball machine or two. Also has easy access from the bike trail and some outdoor seating. Games are now pay by the hour instead of inserting quarters or tokens.
Great place, good food too. The hot chicken sandwich hits the spot. I'm glad this establishment survived COVID and I will continue to go here. Good selection of arcade games. Fun for families during the day and a great barcade at night! There's always a heated Street Fighter session going on during weekend nights. Also a great date spot!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
