The Plex

The Plex

Reviews Summary

The Plex generally receives positive feedback for its spacious, clean facilities and diverse activities like arcades, roller skating, soccer, and kids' programs. Many praise the friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and family-friendly environment. However, some criticize poor customer service, unreliable WiFi, overpriced food, and occasional disorganization (e.g., overbooked courts or delayed openings). Negative reviews highlight communication issues and inconvenient policies, like parents not being allowed in kids' areas. While most enjoy the venue for parties and sports, a few find it overpriced or lacking in maintenance. High ratings dominate, but consistent complaints suggest room for improvement in service and logistics.

Customer Reviews

Fun place for an afternoon as they have so many different options for things to do. My friends and I played bocce ball and soccer. The arcade games are also really fun to run around for a few hours. Highly recommend for a birthday party as the staff was incredibly helpful and the place was clean!

They offer a really good soccer class for almost all ages of kids. Great facilities and teaching staff. The only thing I don't like is the game arcade next to the entrance. Kids are so easily distracted by it when walking by.

This place is amazing and I wish we had something like this in our town. We were here for USBOXLA nationals and I was really impressed with the venue. The food was amazing too. A beer while I watch kids play sports, what could be better?

We were hired to play for a private party at this facility. Not only did we have a good time, we had fun throughout the building. This place has everything you can think of when it comes to fun. The staff was very helpful and the food was amazing. I can't wait to come back. This time instead of DJing, I want to play.

Had an event here today and it was amazing. The food and service was great, the staff provided great customer service and made sure we had everything we needed. The venue was big and plenty of space, and the games were a big hit. I will definitely be booking here again. Thank you so much!

Had a roller skating party for my son at The Plex and it was the best decision ever. Johnny and Ananya, Event Support Assistants from The Plex, provided superb service, and were highly professional. My family and friends had a great time. Recommend the veggie tray, pizza, and fruit tray. Thank you Johnny and Ananya for making this a great experience.

The Plex is a fantastic spot for a fun night out! The place has a great variety of entertainment options, from bowling and arcade games to laser tag and virtual reality. The atmosphere is lively and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are also pretty good ? perfect for grabbing a bite between games. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and there's plenty of space for groups. Whether you're looking to hang out with friends or have a family outing, The Plex offers a lot of fun and

Two years on the roll we've been going here for my kids roller hockey tournaments. This is an exceptional sports complex however, the rinks are not being well-maintained. There is a lot of dust on the floor as the kids are playing, which is preventing them from a quality game.

I love how it's free to enter and you just pay for the activity you want to participate in. They also have an arcade and great food. Plenty of restrooms throughout the complex. It's a nice fun friendly family environment and very clean too. Fun for the whole family!

A lot to do, but you will certainly pay for it. The turf is an older style and not high quality compared to more modern field turf. It's basically indoor outdoor carpet. We were there for a tournament and because of the cost to do anything it didn't make a lot of sense to hang around. If you're renting out the whole facility for a tournament have a stay and play option. $40 for all you can play corn hole or something to keep people there and eating/ drinking the over priced food and drinks.

It would be a great place to relax and enjoy a number of sports but too many rules and regulations, prices make it a little tough also. On the surface looks fun but deep down, too up tight.

Fun place to play indoor soccer high five Pizza was good and they have a lot of pinball machines. My kids enjoy playing on the inflatables. Jessica walked us through the process of signing up and was very professional. All new and updated from the last review. Kids have fun in the bouncy blow ups and the climbing area.

Bit of a drive down south to get here. The parking lot is shared and tiered because of which you need to go all the way down to change rows. Once you get in, you have to make your way in before you see anyone, there is no reception right at the door. Very big place with multiple areas for same events. They have a few fields in turf, a few for roller skates, two eating areas, random arcade games here and there. A jumpy castle area, lockers, showers and water fountains all over the place. They rent equi

Neat and clean area. Beautiful atmosphere and kids friendly play structures. All ages love this place.

We make frequent trips to the Plex because of its close proximity, convenience, and its ability to cater to a diverse range of age groups. As a San Jose institution, we hope that it continues to thrive. In this review, we focus on our experience with the children's parties at the Plex. We have hosted two parties for my son here, the first when he was three years old under the Sportsplex name, and parties were arranged through LOL parties. During that time, booking the on-site restaurant, High Five Pizza, re

Honestly such a hidden gem of a place. It's absolutely HUUUGE. Great for the full family. Full arcade, supervised kid zone with bounce houses, slides, obstacle courses, and 5 different rock climbing walls. Roller rink with black lights and fun music, three different restaurants inside (sushi confidential and flights were great). Tons and tons of seating. They have couches with fireplaces, outdoor seating with TV's, fire pits and heaters. Bocce ball, corn hole, darts, pool. Self service beer area, full bar lo

Fun place to play soccer and have birthday parties. They did overbook and didn't actually have the court we reserved open for us, but did offer us a spot in another court. The food is mediocre and the staff seems widely uninterested. Don't recommend for anyone over 16.

Go here for your events! We were looking for a place to hold a private event that could accommodate 200 people for a memorial service/celebration of life. I don't think many people who have thought to do it here, but for us, it was very fitting for the personality of the person we were memorializing. Elsa Newman and the staff helped us put together a beautifully catered event. The room we were in had banquet seating, five monitors for our slideshow, and a mic system for our event. Or was very convenient for

we just recently discovered Plex and we love it. It's fairly new, clean and spacious. Kids love bouncing houses and the price for 1 hours is less then in another similar places. They also have rock climbing for kids, soccer, arcades, roller rink. The food court zone is nice and clean and faces the volleyball court

I just tried some of the classes ? the dancing class with instructor Javier was really bad? poorly manage, highly unprofessional.. He kept on dancing in 1 corner.. very hard to see him.. very disappointed with dancing classes that this club offers

Great for team building events and large parties! Equipped with monitors and AV for corporate summits and workshops!

UPDATE BELOW*****Before pandemic the open play was all day! Now it starts at 4 pm. One good thing is they have added a rock climbing wall along with jump houses. $10 for 2 hours, not bad. ******** UPDATE CAME FOR ANOTHER DAY AND ONE HOUR IS NOW $13, $20 FOR 2 HOURS....C'MON!!!! NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS! ESPECIALLY SINCE IT OPENS AT 4:00....NOT THE 11:00 IT USE TO OPEN********* The food.....ugh....has changed. And is incredibly expensive now. I mean really $15 for a glass of wine!! No more high five pizza ?? I d

We rented out one of their fields for a corporate event and we had an amazing time, afterwards we had some food/drinks and they reserved an area just four our group and were very attentive to our need. Thank you to the director Alex Del Angel, we were very happy with everything!

The good and bad of the Plex The good part about the Plex is the $250,000 upgrade of the facility it has a new arcade for the kids no more pinball it also has a new climbing wall and basketball courts and bocce ball with 4 huge lanes and they also have a nice lounge area with a fireplace and Cornhole games for adult and teams they also have volleyball arena now the BAD no more high five pizza now they have a really bad pizza joint in there they only sell large pizza at $38.00 and the topping are not cooked

I go to their weekly open skate. They are on Friday and Saturday. Check the website for times and if it is not cancelled. I bring my blades. It is $12 per hour and half session and $5 rental for skates or blades. They have a DJ that plays music, I have seen him a few times. They also have adult only sessions on ($15) on Monday (8:30 pm - 10:30 pm) and Friday. (9:30 pm - 11:30 pm). Note these adult sessions are hosted by the DJ, so I am not sure if the plex lists them on the site.

What a unique indoor sporting experience. We were surprised to discover this place for kids and indoor sports. Never knew such a large complex could be indoors, especially this sweltering week. The place is perfect for kids to run around, enjoy some arcade, etc. For adults, there's indoor soccer in a proper soccer pit. And there's THREE of them. Absolutely mind blowing. And then there's plenty of food and beer. You couldn't ask for more. We'll be back soon.

Coffee is bad. It's more like warm water than coffee. Starbucks and Peet's charge a lot less for a lot stronger coffee. You should sneak in your Peet's coffee.

Unfortunately, I don't have photos to share. We visited a birthday party accommodating kids. I also saw activities for juniors teens, and adult adults. Highly recommend if you have a party or gathering to celebrate with your friends and family.

1st time visiting...I was amazed buy how huge the place is....they have everything you need right there.....

I live about 2 hrs away but always love coming here since it has alittle bit of everything for all ages... wish I had something like this in my area... lol

Kids corner should be open at 10am but employees were late for 30min to set everything up. Really disappointed about their working attitude. They didn't apologiz just told us that, oh come back later.

We had been to the Plex for a couple of events so my daughter really wanted her birthday party there. We booked soccer and dodgeball along with the pizza party. Andres was the main party planner I was working with who was very responsive and super helpful with my million questions! On the day of, check in was a breeze. They showed us where the party was going to be held and had our arcade cards ready to go for guests. The entire staff was superb and a big shout out to Josh for being the best host and activi

THEY HAVE A LOT OF COOL THINGS TO DO THERE AND THE KIDS HAD A LOT OF FUN.

Great venue to watch Box Lacrosse games with 2 rinks and 2 turf fields. Also lots of beers on tap.

I ordered a cheese pizza and a roll during san jose open. The pizza arrived after 5 mins, however I gave up waiting in the roll. I asked to cancel it but the menager was not that during the busiest hour. So inpad for the food I have never received. No one else can't even check the status of the order. Very disorganized.

I bring my daughter here for the hockey clinic, with no skating background she picked it up in 2 weeks and now is in the hockey clinic, very happy with the progress and the coaching staff are very helpful and responsible.

My son with his soccer teammates ???.

Really, I went to visit someone, and so I didn't stay long, but it is very large (extreme understatement). Entering the building, i was quite overwhelmed at first. However, after the initial shock and awe, it seemed like it would be a fun place to go play around. There are 2 roller skating/roller hockey rinks, 2 indoor soccer courts (football for foreign visitors), 2 bocci courts, an arcade (new style, no real video games like the 80s-90s), advertised ice skating, gym and more. It is purportedly 240000 squ

Tried putting my kid in a soccer league here and apparently there's 1 guy in charge of that. After weeks of failed attempts to contact him by phone and email, we waited to speak with him in person. After making us wait, we finally met with him and passed over all the information requested. Our info was taken, and we never heard from them again. We ended up signing up my kids elsewhere. Very frustrating.

'Amazing and spacious' was my immediate reaction when I entered this place. Lot of activities for kids and open spaces for parents to hangout. Food was good as well.

Great (com)Plex for youth sports. Classes for kids and organized sports take place here. Lots of parking in the lot. Amicable staff.

It's a very nice place and awesome friendly staff! But the kids corner is very small (only climbing wall and jumping/sliding inflatables) and parents are not allowed! Don't get that part and it's frustrating to go spend time with my kids and have to be separated. Also the arenas are very nice only that you have to book them online ahead of time... Kind of becoming useless and mostly arcade time, which is not good. The food there is super expensive and only standard quality

Fun place for happy hour! Have good beer selection and finger food option.

Very chaotic, unorganizrd volleyball where they didn't inform how many players/playtime or how is it enforced. Played 1 game for $15. 1 Game. There was a team that kept playing, occupying a court. There are no rules, balls flying everywhere in the game courts that could seriously injure someone.

This place is awesome. We were there for a box lacrosse tournament and there is good food, a beer wall, and endless activities for young kids! My toddler loved the arcade and all the bounce houses. Can't wait to put him in one of the toddler soccer programs.

If you're planning your child?s birthday party choose another venue. Paying $1300 I expected way more than was delivered. Prior to the party multiple voicemails and dozens of calls before I could ever reach the event planner after already paying a deposit. Requested to speak to a manager?.crickets. Party day, arriving at the front desk they just had a blank stare when I asked to check in. They weren't even sure where the party spot was. When the third worker finally figured out where our tables were, they j

The inside is clean and nice atmosphere for gathering. It is good for having a birthday party for kids and you can watch many sports on TVs while kids playing a roller hockey and soccer. Good for all ages and gathering with friends.

my visit left me sorely disappointed on all fronts. First off, the service was sluggish and indifferent, as if the staff were more interested in their own game than attending to customers. It took an eternity to even get acknowledged, let alone receive our order. When the food finally arrived, it was a letdown. The nachos were soggy and lacking in toppings, the chicken strips were overcooked and dry, and don't even get me started on the lukewarm, watered-down drinks. To add insult to injury, the ambiance

2 Hockey rinks turned in to Judo mats. 7 or 8 competition area's. Food available. Everyone was having a good time supporting members from their clubs.

Been here for kids sports and MAA fights. Place is spacious and clean. No real clear signs for which field to go to for soccer so you have wait to ask a staff. I've seen volleyball legues play and ice hockey. Peop?e rent rooms for birthday parties and there is a small arcade. MAA events have signs. Didn't try the drinks or food. Plenty of parking.

Play roller here twice a week. Awesome facility, would love a better beginner program to get more people playing.

Great place to have fun with kids , arcade games, kids corner, . You need to book a skating rink and soccer fields before you go . We lucked on finding a small one for us. But otherwise packer with birthday parties. Fun for kids 4-12. Staff is friendly. Good pizzas and drinks.

Is a nice experience with family to celebrate a birthday, the only sad problem was on Monday so they don't have Sushi, and chicken wings the drink are perfect food not . They said was Monday, but for me is not an excuse.

I usually never write reviews, but this one in particular...been trying to contact this place for 2 and half weeks now because I want to give my guests an advanced notice. Been trying to reach out through email, through any phone machine, even went in person to talk to ANY one about the questions we have...no one currently knows any ones work hours. Been messaging the adult coordinator via email and phone call, nothing has been happening ever since. The automated call line is no help, constantly tells us to

We did a birthday party there. Extremely unorganized, overpriced and they won't work with ypu. If you have a question or a concern, it takes them 10 days to call back. All the employees were saying negative things about the management and plannets and were unhappy.

Very clean, & well equipped gym!

My daughters have soccer class here. Looks like a great place to watch sporting events with video games and good selection of beer on tap

Front desk is not staffed. WiFi is horrible but the only way to buy kid corner passes. You have to create an account for kids to enter kids corner but since WiFi is so bad it took 15-20mins just to get registered and buy session tickets. There aren't bathrooms in the kid corner so it wastes alot of your paid session to have kids put on shoes to go to the bathroom just to have to put shoes back on to come back inside. We only got about 37minues of actual playtime during the session between the headache of th

5 Stars! Had a Fantastic time at the 49ers watch party. Always a good time for families. So many improvements in the past year. My kids love roller skating, the arcade, and of course, the food.

Plex's soccer program for kids is outstanding! The coaches are passionate and skilled, fostering a love for the game while teaching fundamental skills and teamwork. The facilities are top-notch, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to develop their soccer abilities. Whether your child is a beginner or more experienced, Plex offers a fantastic opportunity for them to learn, have fun, and grow as players.

Great fun activities for kids. Indoor Swimming, Soccer, Hockey , arcade. Very spacious and great staff too.

We had an aweful experience with the event manager, who is not even present at the facility, even on the day of your event. The 2 stars is for the manager present at the Plex, Jose, and the kitchen staff that were amazing and went out of their way to make the experience unforgettable. The event manager, Isabel Mendoza, took 1 week to answer our questions and book the event. We had to leave several emails and phone calls before she answered us. On the say of the event. I got texts and calls from family and f

I give 2 stars because of the prices of Pizza and drinks. The place is very nice and clean. Plenty of seating and tables available. Fun games like Corn Hole, Arcade, Jumpers, Roller Skating, Indoor Soccer Field and so much more. The Pizza is skinny little greasy slices of mediocre at best garbage. Around $40 for a large always thin crust, pepperoni. Drinks are around $5.00 with NO refills. If you ask for a pitcher of Ice Water they will tell thier out. And then you will see people walk by with full pitchers

Their food used to be good but after their remodel their food is disgusting. I used to love their high five pizza we would always stay with our team to eat after our games, but now their new pizza is disgusting. Also their tacos. They also have new refs that are not that great. Used to be my favorite place to go to with my family, sadly not anymore.

The facility is really nice, the restaurant/bar is a great feature and the kids love the bubble soccer. Lost a star for less than stellar service with the party we booked. The coach was late and the bubble soccer was unusually chaotic. The kids didn't really mind, but for price I expected more. Overall, it's a cool place for families and sports, with lots of fun options for activities.

Remodeled and it looks excellent inside. They added some bean bag tossing area (corn hole), bocce ball courts, electric darts, a place to order pitchers of beer and lounge, with couches, a fire place and multiple viewing screens to watch any major sporting events. They also added new eateries and a seating area in the food court.

Very good spot to engage kids

This place has everything! I'm so glad that came here. The skating rink was cool and it was the first time in a very long time that I've skated. It was such fun! They have hi five pizza and beer ?? too. So many things to do at this place. It wasn't too crowded either. You won't be disappointed when you come here with your family!

Really awesome place! Went here for work event. Now am surely coming here to hang out, drink, & play some sports or arcades. Huge place & lots of room to hang out or have your bday party or something. I wanna plan something with the friends & family. Places you don't realize are so close to home. I look for places like this & how did I not see you?? I highly recommend for all ages. Great place to bring the kids & the parents to still be able to grab a drink & relax with great company! ??

Went on a Friday night and it was dead as a door nail. After walking around and admiring their new upgraded facility we decided to go to the kitchen and place an order. We were surprised to learn that the food was super expensive compared to coming here in the past. Only serves XL pizza? No large option is really strange so you are stuck buying one that is $38. It is the customer paying for this major remodel they did. It is nice inside but not worth it. We wont be back. Sorry you can get Large double pl

I signed my kid up for lil kickers class starting this March, but after a few classes we found the schedule did not work for us so I wanted to withdraw. I called multiple times but no one answered the phone, I left messages on the website still no response. I emailed the facility as well and still no response. Finally got some response from personnel on-site that I need to email a specific person, and both me and my husband did. Got response a couple days later asking if we would like to return as credit or

just have fun. nice restroom's so clean... ilove-the.arcade and at the back SCS they have a trial so good....

My husband ordered the large Supreme pizza yesterday and he had a major stomachache since last night. Couldn't sleep and having diarrhea this morning. I've never seen him have issue with any food other then not fresh sushi. Thank God my son didn't eat that can't believe they serve such a horrible food at kid's place. I left message at the restaurant I bet no one will get back to me. This place has no one that is responsible.

Pretty cool place. Only down side is super expensive for food. When I say expensive 7 dollars for a beer and 30 for a pitcher. Pizza was thin as paper and not very good. However the roller derby was pretty cool never Sen one in person till now...lots of support from the crowd and family's

Weekly soccer classes are super fun for our child. Their app for rescheduling missed classes is always broken though. I wish they would fix it.

Pretty cool area, good for indoor soccer, hockey a beer and much more

Ordered cheese pizza and wings. Food was excellent. They have a 17% surcharge. That on top of the high priced items doesn't make it a place one can economically frequent. There is a post to not bring in any outside food so watching a child game hungry holds you hostage.

My dear friend Elsa is especially events planner of this wonderful place It's a great place where you can go play different games bring your children and feel safe there's so many opportunities so many things to do there You can stay there all day and night and never get bored It's a great place to hang out and an even better place for you to bring your children and feel safe

Food: 2.1/ 10 Local entertainment 5.2 / 10 If you're looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, I would advise against going to The Plex. The food is overpriced and of poor quality, with the large pizza coming in at a whopping $46. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is reminiscent of something you might find at a convenience store, rather than a dining establishment. But it's not just the food that's a letdown at The Plex - the service is also subpar. The staff is unattentive and inattentive, making

Pretty fun place, it's really big, there's a Club One Fitness next door. I haven't tried skating or indoor soccer or whatever else they offer, but it seems fun. There's ample parking, they probably could never be maxed out on spaces. I've been here twice for the Sharks viewing parties, the restaurant is decent, there's a good amount of seats. Minus one star because I've only seen one bartender that isn't all that friendly. And the line for the bar gets way long.

We have been participating in their Lil' Kickers program for almost 3 years now with two kids. The idea of this program is fantastic, but the execution at this location is not great. They have about 15 coaches and only 3-4 coaches are good. My son's coach is really nice individual but she only has her class do any activities with the ball for only 10 min out of the 45 min class. That also includes one of the exercises where they throw the ball with their hands from the middle of the field into the goal. The

Very fun place to be at. Loved playing volleyball there. Except the ceiling was a little low. There would be poles in the way and sometimes the ball would hit it causing us to lose a point.

The Plex hosted Special Olympics for our 18-22 year old students. So generous! We had the entire facility to ourselves and were able to do so many more activities than previously attempted. The staff were amazing with our students. The whole experience gave legitimacy and dignity to the Special Olympics program. Thank you Plex!

Place is huge and looks amazing.. the rinks are good. Indoor soccer and hockey arena is good. But can see the toll of pandemic.. feels a bit less lovely and worn down.. needs a little more paint or brightness . Something is missing in this place that is humongous.

This is an amazing gym. Super clean. Equiptment is modern. They have a great little cafe. Two pools sparkling clean and a jacuzzi. The staff is awesome. You can get professional massages there and spa treatments. The locker room is extremely clean and has most anything you'll need to shower after your work out. I love this gym

While the facility itself is nice, my truck was broken into in their parking lot. The manager promised he would review security footage and call me, he did not respond. I'm very disappointed with how they handled crime on their property. We were there for a lacrosse tournament and brought in tons of people and lots of money, but their lack of caring about their customers is awful. Do not recommend this place and will not be coming back here.

Hosted our child's birthday here. Andres the manager was amazing with helping with the logistics!

Went to a birthday party at kids corner. Kids all had a lot of fun at the rock climbing wall and jump houses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
