Customer Reviews

If you're in the Lake Orion area, I highly recommend checking out Pinball Social! It's a fantastic spot for anyone who loves pinball. Scott, the owner, has done an amazing job curating a collection of machines that are both fun and well-maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming and full of nostalgia, perfect for both beginners and seasoned pinball enthusiasts. Definitely worth a visit! The kids will love it too!

The pinball social is a great place for those new to the game and the experienced. Scott keeps his machines in top shape and has a wide variety of vintage and new games. The price is very reasonable for a day of free play across any of the machines. He also has snacks and bottled drinks available at fair prices. Pinball at any normal arcade would run a minimum of $1 per game. Children are free or discounted based on age, which is great for encouraging them to try the hobby. I really like that he has h

Went on opening day! Owners greeted me with friendly smiling faces. Walked me through how to use the machines (first time player) and even played with me! Down to earth people who makes the place feel like a safe place. Kid friendly, group friendly. 10/10 would go again!

This place is THE one-stop shop for new and experienced players alike! The owners clearly know and love their pinball, and are super-friendly and helpful. There is a good mix of classic shooters and modern machines; everything is set to Free Play, which means one can really have fun experimenting with the different games, and not worry about making every quarter count. New favourite hang-out!

We hosted a private event at The Pinball Social. The atmosphere was great, the venue was clean, and the games were fantastic. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and took time to teach us about the different games. We all had a great time. I look forward to coming back with my family! This is great place for all ages!

Probably the best maintained machines I have played in Michigan. Everything played super smooth and they had machines from spooky and American that you won't find anywhere else in Michigan. Worth the drive out for a flat fee of unlimited pinball playing for sure.

Local family owned business. Lots of options to choose from. Machines are well maintained. They sell snacks and drinks but you can bring your own food in too so we grabbed pizza from next door and had a blast.

Aren't you sick of going to an "arcade" and seeing like... 3-4 pins max? Aren't you sick of putting in your money only to realize that critical shots are completely inaccessible because some plastic snapped off and is blocking a ramp and nobody cares enough to fix it? Aren't you sick of sneezing and triggering the tilt warning? Aren't you sick of not know where the #*^&$ the ball is because the glass is so freaking disgusting and the lights are so bright that the playfield is literally impossible to see? WE

Love at first flip. Machines are in great condition and dialed in, which is not always the case when playing on location. I'd recommend this place for anyone interested in pinball or just looking for something fun to do to pass the time.

Great selection of pinball games. Family friendly. Flat fee to play as much as want. You can easily spend 3+ hours here.

Great atmosphere and Scott was very kind and accommodating to my young children. We all had a great time for a very fair price. Will definitely be back soon

It's a fun little place that reminds me of a neighborhood arcade when I was a kid. They have a few snacks and drinks for sale. Plus, there's a pizza place next door

This place is AWESOME! One simple price, play all you want! Tons of unique, well operating machines. Relaxing, chill environment too! We will be back!

I went there on Opening day! I had So Much Fun. All the games were in great condition and I found the games to play very smooth. I would Highly recommend this place!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
