My son was having his birthday party with three friends there today. We were so disappointed. I had found this place online and saw all of the activities they had there. We had told everyone that the plans were they could do everything. Two of his guest drove over an hour to attend his party. Once arriving we were told the go carts, mini golf and bowling were all not working. I paid almost $200 for the four kids to jump, play laser tag, ride bumper cards and get a $10 game card. When it came time to play la

It's big with so many options for the kids, however only on the weekends. I understand that during the week there aren't many people, but for those who do come, they should get to have a good experience. No outside food or drinks, okay open the concession stand. If you come during the weekdays, you can jump and or play in the arcade while being ignored by every staff member who decides to show up. "Do not jump if a MAX court monitor is not present" NO ONE is present. Either hire people to work, or only k

Signing out the wavers and purchasing our tickets were easy, the workers were very kind! We had a great time in the soft play area. Kaitlin was a very friendly worker, ensuring the kids were safe. The indoor playground was very attractive for our young kids, they chose the playground over the trampoline park. We will be back!

Opted to have The Max host our daughter's birthday party, and 10/10 would recommend! They made the process super easy and fun. All the kiddos had a great time and the food was delicious.

The Max Family Entertainment is really ?? cool and entertaining for Orangeburg, This is a Great establishment for Orangeburg and the surrounding areas. Awesome for the kids especially so they don't have to travel to Columbia. I still think it's a little pricey but hey I'm cheap ??. They did the Trampoline for 1hr, Laser-Tag for 15mins, Bumper Cars for about 10mins and $5 on Arcade for $30. It's a nice establishment but they need way more Arcade games. They also have an Escape Room I said that'll be good f

This place will always be fun, my kids love it and it's always a great time... always clean, the employees are nice and they make sure we have a great time..... yall the added more! A bowling alley!! And more games

Held my daughter's birthday party here. My wife did all the planning from out of town (we don't live here). The pizza was excellent as were the wings (shout out to the chef). The kids had an fun time and love coming here when they visit family.

What a fantastic place! My family and I were passing through on our way to Florida and found this gem! Trampolines, bumper cars, ball pits, arcade games kept our boys entertained on a much needed stopover. The staff were nice. The facility was clean. As the facility is new there was little signage outside and the parking lot wasn't paved. Overall, it was a great experience for both my 18 month old and 9 year old!

Very nice place to take kids. Kind of expensive but what isn't right now. Isn't real a big selection on the arcade side but trampoline and soft park are really cool.

I want to provide Orangeburg family business with the income but the Maxx is a poor excuse for Frankie's Fun park. Everything is always broken or out of service. At this point close or fix the establishment.

We went to the Max today and it was not a good experience for the most part. The air was not working, the arcade games were not working, and strange people were taking photos with weird masks while my small children were playing in the soft play section. I will say this though, Trina Gordon was a delight and we would possibly give this place another chance only because of her kindness to our family. She reimbursed us a generous portion of what we payed for our struggles there and spoke incredibly kindly to

My kids had a blast and they have parties, Lazer tag, and indoor play gym. They also have a bar for the adults. Great time for the whole family

I am so grateful that Orangeburg has a place like this for different age kids. There is lots to do depending on age and my grandbabies love it.

Was passing through on a road trip with my toddler and needed to let him burn some energy. It's nice for older kids I'm sure.. but as a toddler mom, it was VERY inconvenient that I couldn't climb the soft play area with my kid. I was told ?if he needs help, one of our staff will help him?. He needed help on several occasions, and 3 employees were sitting around on their phone. No one supervising the area, no one offering to help him. He was losing his mind because we couldn't be involved with him playing. I

The max was fun!!! My children, my husband, I had a blast. Will visit again.

Decent price for the activities available. It was a good place to have some fun but it's not perfect either. I still recommend it, with cons just that they don't clean the restroom often enough, a few games don't work like 5 (10%) of what they have, and the long form you have to fill out on your first visit. My young son (2) had a blast in the ball pit and we all enjoyed bowling together. The balls could be a little lighter or be easier to get a grip on. My second visit had less games working and the ball

Took my two kids here recently (they were 22m, and 6y). Opted to just do the trampoline jump for an hour. They asked if I wanted to go out there with them and just not jump so of course i said yes since our littlest was so much smaller than the other kids out there. That was an extra $5 for a spectator pass? okay, fine. The cashier asked if we had ?socks? and we all did so i said yes. We get up there and someone else stopped us bc we didn't have MAX socks (ie grippy socks), which were apparently required ev

3 of my kids went with their auntie and cousin. They enjoyed themselves immensely!!!!!

We went there for our 11 Yr Olds Birthday Party. The Staff was amazing, very attentive and friendly. They had staff all over the place that certainly didn't mind saying something to the kids if they violate their rules. That I like, 'Cause it reduces them and my child from getting hurt as well. It was great and we will be going back. The food was great looking, we will be back to try it.The price was priceless for the amount of fun we had. I strongly recommend this for family fun and there is something for

Came in on a rainy day only to be told after I paid that I couldn't get a refund even though the roof was poring water on the trampolines and foam pit. Sorry but I'm not risking my kid?s safety on a wet trampoline.

Hosted our son?s 5th birthday party here and would highly recommend! Staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was perfect for entertaining everyone which allowed us a great time. Well worth our time and money!

The jump area is big with lots to do, it is quite hot and u can't bring in outside drinks. The laser tag is very cool, dinosaur themed. Plan to spend at least $40 per person

The experience was horrible. We had a party there for my granddaughter and we did not get everything that came with the party. The hostess was absent. She came once to drop off pizza and didn't see her again. They gave our tickets to someone else. Horrible experience!

No water fountain??Be prepared to be forced to buy over priced water in a bottle or let your kid be thirsty. This place needs to consider their customers and not profit. How can you not have a water fountain in a place that promotes physical activity? Make it make sense? Also don't even place an order for food unless you plan to be there for at least two hours. The wait on orders is at least 30 minutes at the minimum.

This place is a great stop at noon on a weekday to let the kids run around a bit. If you want to try everything (laser tag, bumper cars, trampolines), you might want to see if they have any all you can play specials going. That is what we got, and it was a great price for 2 hours of fun. The bumper cars were hilarious, but having to pay each time would be a lot of cash. The trampoline zone (or whatever it is called, I am old) kept the kids interested and burning energy for about 45 minutes. Depending on the

The website DOES NOT tell you SOFT PLAY is for 6yr olds under 90lbs and NO BUMPER CARS til 4pm. We are traveling a very long distance. ?? I wouldn't have stopped and upset my kids had that info been on the website. Great place for the right families. What I thought would be a great opportunity for the kids to get out of the car and play, turned into a my autistic 76lb 9yr child confused and ?? crying. We went around 1 on a weekday, with less that 10 kids. The price, the place, the equipment and staff are ve

I just recently visited. It was my first experience. I came with my niece and her children so they could have fun. The games were cool but the staff mostly stood around whispering amongst each other, staring at you, or acted as if they didn't know what was going on. O e older lady and a young man was pretty helpful. I know it was a Sunday, easy going but a little more professionalism goes a long way, even in a kid friendly atmosphere.

0 STARS most of the games are broken! Bathrooms are nasty! I came with me and my fianc? $88.00 for the new package I'm like okay cool it's worth it; NOT! Everything is broken from trampolines to the Bowling activities! Super overpriced for no reason if you want to keep business you have to have customer friendly prices and at least have everything working! Refunds need to be on the door because the maintenance is horrible not to even mention someone kid was alone following us a lil baby as a matter fact. Wh

Staff were pretty nice, but I was very disappointed with the NYE celebration. It would have been nice to know that they weren't allowing tickets to be redeemed, I wouldn't have spent $40 loading money onto the cards to play the games that weren't included in the ticket price. The buffet was literally a few appetizers and it was brought in over an hour late. You had meatballs, choice of chicken or beef slider, and chips and salsa. The chicken sliders were very undercooked, like just past the bleeding stage,

We arrived from NY to visit family in Orangeburg during the school summer break. My daughter had a great time here, and the staff was excellent. Can't wait to return when the go-karts are there.

Great time, great place! The Max has it ALL! The best soft play area for small kids, a trampoline park, laser tag, arcade, a little something extra for parents! Oh and a go kart track is coming soon, I can't wait to come back! I'm a kid at heart and will challenge anyone to a race on the track or a dunk contest on the trampoline!

Took my son here for 1st time today. Place is very fun and affordable. Only 2 things I didn't like. 1st was it didn't have enough sitting areas for the adults watching their kids jump and 2nd for the parents that wanted to just watch their kids closely still had to pay to go into the jump Area even if you wasn't jumping. Other then that my son and I had an amazing time and we will definitely be back soon

If you have not been here, I don't know why.. The bartender Tempest was absolutely great, very reasonable priced. very friendly staff. Will definitely go back. my teenagers only complaint was they'd like to have had more video- arcade games. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the woman's restroom had a few stall where the toilet lids was broke. and the escape room wasn't open.

My 3 1/2 year old had a blast. We went on a Saturday at noon right when it opened. We had plenty of time on the trampolines, then we did the arcade, and finished it off with an ICEE. Great facility, clean, and friendly staff. Will return again.

The check in was a little slow and after finally finishing up with the one person ahead of me, that the employee was very unfriendly and a little on the rude side towards, and after 15 minutes of waiting, my son was allowed to jump only 45 minutes, not the hour that we purchased, bought a pair of the necessary socks and only had the option to choose between small or xl, which neither was a comfortable fit for my 9 year old and received a very nonchalant attitude from the employees when I ask about the sizes

Not handicap accessible! The handicap parking is on the side of the building. After you park, you must go thru gravel and rocks to the sidewalk ramp. Then, the ramp to the trampolines is 3 to 4 inches off the ground, where you should be able to roll up or down from the floor. The ramp is in an area where you can not maneuver to go up the ramp. Sooooo, she waited 20 mins before .... the employees had to pick up my sister and her electric chair and place them onto the ramp. Once in, you have to pay for

The trampoline area was pretty nice but the arcade and spin zone was laughably small. Parking is not defined except for handicapped; so, you don't know if you are in a legit parking space until security comes out and makes you move. Customer service leaves much to be desired as well. I love to support local but in this case we will travel for a better experience in the future.

I just like this play because I brought my 12 year sister here and my my mother and we had super fun umm it was kinda cheap then the one in Colombia

Several of the games in the arcade area were broken. Escape room audio didn't work. 2 of the puzzles in the first room didn't work Visiting the area from FL and I must say the only good part was spending time with family through it all

Customer Service Terrible poor communication not nice no smiles the bathrooms are filthy very dirty my grand kids refuse to use bathroom if you gonna gauge prices for everything at Least higher bathroom custodians to clean that dirty unacceptable bathrooms I should of demanded you go in there and clean it's worse than Walmart so y?all know this MAX need to get it together or refund our money don't eat there if bathroom dirty the food dirty Management need to be Train on Business excellents dirty bathrooms

We had a great time, the kids and I especially liked the laser tag!! The kids, of course, loved jumping, and the bumper cars were also a hit!!! Overall an awesome way to spend time with the kids

I needed a place to spend some exciting time with my two year old granddaughter and thos place did not disappoint. She had so much fun and two hours flew by so quickly.

This place has so much potential but they need to hire proper contractors to come straighten the place up. The work done is horrible. The bathroom was flooded due to the sink falling off the wall. Alot of machinery was down like the icee's, a few arcade games and the spinning thing on the trampoline side broke after we played on it once. We did have a good time though. Laser tag was our favorite.

Well for one, We couldn't even find the place. It's just a plain tan warehouse looking building with a gravel parking lot. When wr found the building we didn't know where the front doors were so we kinda hoped for the best. Inside was a shame. Only about half of the 17 arcade games were working, there wasn't any staff at the tiny bumper car area even if we didn't want to play and the trampoline park was just ok. They do have Lazer tag but we didn't try that. I think it's a bit expensive for the little but o

THIS PLACE DOES NOT HAVE ESCAPE ROOMS! If I could give zero stars, I would. We drove nearly an hour because their website says they have escape rooms, laser tag, trampolines, plus more. We went especially for the escape room and intended to book laser tag and trampolines as well. They said they didn't have an escape room. I pointed out that their website, in-house TVs, and brochures say they do. The guy says, "Oh we do, but it's closed". Upon reading other's reviews online, this has happened to other people

This place is a joke!!! I paid $36 dollars for one kid to jump for an hour because of the spectacular charge. No I'm not leaving my 4 year old alone so we paid it. We've been to dozens of these places And have never had to do this! Plus it's really tiny And not cool at all. She was ready to leave before time was up. The people that work there get on to the kids for everything!! Absolutely horrible experience

Very fun place for kids and active families!

Great place to take kids for a little fun when you don't feel like driving to Columbia. Great prices on adult drinks.

Disappointed that they would put a bar in a place where there are kids and families are suppose to be spending time together. That space could be better used for more seating to eat at. They need more staff, and someone to check the bathrooms more because there was no toilet paper in any of the stalls or the single use bathroom.

Great fun for all!!! The mini bowling was cool. Can't wait for the go cart track to be built!!! Great place for orangeburg. Hopefully a start for more fun venues for Orangeburg County!!! Will be back.

Had my daughter's birthday party here. The staff was great. The kids enjoyed themselves. I will return

Nice place for the kids. Staff very friendly and the place is clean. Security on deck. Food good also. There was a lack of signs had to ask was it the right place. Overall our family enjoyed it will be back and will tell family and friends.

Great place to take the kids on a rainy day or when you want to spend less then 100 bucks for food an kids fun. It's a little bit smaller then its competitors. The arcade is good for this type of place

The Max Family Entertainment was great. The 2 grandkids could play, jump around on that trampoline, climb that Mt. Everest wall and throw some ball in the hoop. Bottom line- use up All that energy & prep for bed. Listen.... they are quite;asleep in their bed..

First time here was today and the staff was so nice and the facility is very clean. We will be back.

It was alot of fun and the food was really good for the price but the Surge in Lexington has a little more to do....minus the food.

First, it's just enough fun for the kids with a variety of play areas, and the next time we go we will be bowling...just watching the kids truly enjoying it was enough for any parent...the food was excellent, pizza was better than some local restaurants and the wings were on point....if I had not had kids I would have enjoyed the adult corner...the kids are excited to go back to experience the escape room...truly a family fun day...we spent 3+ hours there, no boredom to be found...what a great addition to

I'm visited from Columbia, SC and was in town visiting family. I grew up in Orangeburg, and I was presently surprised that Orangeburg had a family entertainment of this quality. Our kids loved it. The entertainment packages were reasonable.

My wife was tOld to come in and book an escape room. She gave them the date and time along with how many. So I drove there to find out oh it's not open during that time. Don't waste peoples time to get them to come in. My kids have been here a few times I can't believe the we don't care for our mistake factor.

He really enjoys going. This day the bumper cars and laser tag were not available. Only on the weekends or maybe when school is out over here. Still had fun and got some exercise! ??????????????

When we went there I paid for everything then they told me only 2 things were open I said I'll just take a refund it charged my card $54 and I have proof and showed her and they said it didn't come up in their system after I just paid and show them that it came off my card I never got my money back smh

My grandsons always look forward to going here when they come to visit

Would never come back here just got a bad vibe here workers and staffs looks at you hard no type of customer service went on Saturday to crowded for this small place!! My kids didn't enjoyed it

The staff is always so kind. Their birthday package is worth every penny. They are very attentive and helpful.

I love the trampoline section only. And the staff of course! But it wasn't worth spending $60 for 2 kids. Definitely would only recommend the trampoline section only.

My son had a blast with his friends can't wait until the go kart track is finished

My daughter's and granddaughters really enjoyed themselves. Great entertainment place. We will be going back.

It was a nice and clean environment. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Look forward to returning again very soon.

They have soft play, trampolines, laser tag, bumper cars, arcade area, prize booth dinning area, and concession stand. Friendly environment and the staff is very nice.

Great customer service! The staff They treats you like family.

Such a great place for the family! New games and attractions added periodically and more great things to come. Don't miss the fun at The Max!

Great place for the whole family! The staff are amazing ! The prices are great ! Great place for parties and etc

Shared this experience with my friends and colleagues. Fun activities for the entire family. Family oriented and very friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself.

Kids enjoyed the time there. Lots of things for them to do.

I love this place i had a Great time, when i did a back flip i pop my knee and went to the emergency hospital ??, but otherwise i like it, will i do more backflips yea, whenever i'm off crutches

The kids had so much fun. They jumped, bumper cars, arcade and laser tag. Great family fun

Super fun, clean & welcoming for jumpers of all ages! If you don't want to jump you'll have other things to pass your time with- check it out!

Had a fantastic time here with my family, there was a lot more than I expected to be there and we will definitely be going back when we go back down to SC.

It was crazy in there everyone seemed lost no one knew what was going on or where things were. Omg thank goodness for Alcohol OMG YES THEY SERIOUSLY SERVE ALCOHOL YOU WILL NEED IT!!

Nice place for little ones. Should make bigger and add more video games (VR, laser tag) to appeal to adults before adding a bar!

My grandson really enjoys the Max. It's a great place for kids who want to have fun in Orangeburg.

My brother got a gift certificate from his school and no where on the certificate has a date that it expires and theu told us that could not accept it, the Manger person was rude about it.

So many activities for young and older kids, ours definitely had a great time!!

Nice amount and variety of activities but the escape room was closed and the kitchen took two hours for food orders.

Super fun lol place for the whole family ??

My son enjoyed himself it was our first time here he love it we will be back very soon

I didn't know this place existed until my wife's cousin had a birthday party there. Very fun place to visit.

Had a wonderful time I even played the games being a grown man and my child had a blast in the trampoline park.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
