Magic Castle has fun stuff to do on the inside and the outside. It is a great place to take the kids. Adults can have fun also, Putt-Putt is really fun, and if you enjoy baseball, they have an area for that too. Plenty of arcade games on the inside, including ski ball.
This is the best deal around when you ask yourself, where can I take these kids? The staff is always friendly. The soft play are is ok. There is always a kid screaming, just a fun place to be wild! The putt putt is ?? older. I noticed batting cages too. As long as you go with the mindset that it is the best value around, you will not be disappointed. It's not a fancy place, but a place for the kids to get out of the house. We also enjoyed the snack bar. They have cup cakes from time to time. The burgers wer
The mini golf is so fun! It is also beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly. We have been a few times and have had fun each time!
It's a nice place. My kids love it, it's entertaining, active, lots of arcade games, mini golf. Pricing is fair.
Really fun place for kids to go and have a birthday party. They have a ton of stuff to do both inside and out, but the mini golf is all outside. Keep that in mind for winter or weather. There's a bouldering climbing wall inside, a large three story tube/tunnel play area for kids, and tons of arcade type games to win tickets and prizes (all of which are digital now, no more coin or token operated things like the days of old). There is also pizza, and rooms can be reserved for birthday parties specifically.
This place is just a blast, and you don't need to be a kid to enjoy it! Fun mini golf, batting cages, video games and fun stuff for everyone to do. They serve food as well and the place is handicap accessible. Go in the middle of the day to avoid the crowds and have fun!
In my experience, Magic Castle is a safe, fun place for Autistic children! I bring my Autistic child in the middle of the week when it's calmer, and I've never had a bad experience. The soft play area is gated, and very well-protected with netting so there's little to no risk of falling or running away like you find on many other playgrounds. Staff are so kind, caring, helpful, and understanding, and my kid has a blast every time. We primarily use the soft play area, but we've also had my kid's birthday par
We drove from Cincinnati and it was well worth it! Everyone was very friendly and the course was well kept and clean. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you so much!??
What a great time! It was crazy affordable with a large indoor playground for $7 for the big kids and $2 for the 1-2year olds. The games were priced at 20 cents to a dollar each! How can you beat that?! Craft beer was $5 a can. The staff was so friendly and helpful! Collin went above and beyond to make our time even more fun! Let's just say, we'll be back and often! Highly recommend!
Love this place! Great for all ages! We had a 2 yo birthday party here, but was good for all the kids (thru teens) and even the adults had fun! There's a party area at the top of the stairs you can rent out. They provide everything but the cake! The party plans are on their website and is very easy to set up. Reasonable prices. Each kid got a token card to play games and a wrist band to get into the play area (that's the party plan we chose). This was during March so we chose to be inside. It was on a Satu
My 4-year-old daughter always has a fantastic time here! It's incredibly kid- and toddler-friendly, making it the perfect spot for little ones to enjoy. Collin went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, showing exceptional kindness and care. I highly recommend this place!
Kids always have a blast! Prices are reasonable too. We played mini golf, the kids did soft play (indoor playground), and then played some arcades. Plus they have a kitchen. Quite a fun afternoon for not too much money!
We was even playing with our wobbly table. Better environment then Chuck e cheese. Service was great. Coming back again... P.s. Fixed table
The Magic Castle is a great place to go for kids. They have a great arcade with lots of different types of games. They have a 3 story play place made for kids 2-11. They have a batting cage and miniature putt putt. They truly have it all. Our kids loved it and had a blast. For the money it's a great deal. Honestly, you would be hard pressed to find a better deal in Dayton for an indoor kids place.
Took my grandson here for a Birthday Party and he had a blast, they have a little bit of everything. His party didn't include the putt putt golf but they're young yet for it, although it was real cool looking.
What an amazing arcade - biggest one we've ever been to. It had an upstairs and downstairs!! The girls loved the "soft play" area and it was hard to get them out of there. Their mother and I played a lot of the games. Actually spent most of the money on the cards while the girls played on the jungle jim. They even had a selection of adult beverages to take the edge off!! A little pricey, but worth it!!
This was are first time coming to magic castle we drove all the way from preble County the staff was excellent that is the reason I am giving five stars my son plays baseball so we came for the batting cages but but I must say I was very disappointed they keep jamming magic castle it's time to upgrade please so we don't spend more time coming in and getting some to unjam it we would coming back
I feel like this place is the best deal you can get for a place to bring a kid. Where else can you pay $6 for full day of fun in the soft play area? Great place to listen to the Aunty Donna podcast while your child plays
We came for my granddaughter, Victoria's 6th birthday party. It's always a good time for the kids. But we tried something different this time...putt-putt. Everyone had a great time. Victoria thought it was the "best birthday ever." Lol ????????
Out side (putt putt ) very awesome and beautiful. Theme inside pretty cute .but place was really small not many games and alot were broke down . Kids play area cute but not good for small children and they refuse to let parents go with kids.
Great staff- friendly and helpful. When we lost a prize behind the climbing wall (don't ask ??) they replaced it. Saved the day for our grandson with that simple act of kindness!
Had a good time miniature golfing, batting cages, and in the arcade. Great place to have a kid's birthday party.
Took the wife for some putt putt , 10 bucks each 18 holes, well maintained facility friendly staff will be going again soon.
Our great grandson's birthday party was there. All the children had a great time and some of us who are children at heart!
Had to kill time before the airport. Golf was a blast. Batting cages need some fine tuning. Machines get jammed. Great prices. Great family fun time. Would recommend to all ages.
Great mini golf place with nice landscaping. Lots of indoor games and arcade stuff to do if you get rained out.
A fun place for the kids and family. Just bring your wallet for the arcades pool because they are pricey. We had a great time, the place was clean and the kids loved it. If only the owners would realize that by bringing down the price of the arcades, their place would be booming with customers.
Great place for the family! Arcade games, mini golf and batting cages. Also, tons of space for parties. Flashback from the 90's.
It's a cute little place for kids. Inside they have some arcade games. Outside there's a mini golf course and batting cages. Prices are decent.
Had a great birthday party. The kids loved it and theres stuff for everyone to do. Their pizzas were great too The staff goes over backwards to be sure you will have a good time
VERY CUTE!!! Machines are so cool! Prizes are cheapp!!! EVERYONE SO KINDD!! kinda looks like the backrooms ngl
I took 6 kids from the ages of 2 and a half - 12. We spent around 2 1/2 hours playing and eating. Jeff is always a joy and I always look forward to talking with him. His staff is friendly and the place is always clean. My kids can't wait to go back!
This place is amazing. They were not busy because of the weather, however with a crazy 2 year old they were very very patient and understanding
My husband and I really enjoy the mini golf here it is so much fun! The prices are excellent it is currently out of season so its only 6$ perperson to mini golf and I believe when it is in season it is only 8$ each! The staff are super friendly and love to entertain my husbands boasting about beating me at mini golf ? even though I'm still champion ?? ??
The food is decent, mini golf is awesome, some of the games are broken way too often.
It's ok. A lot of the games are broken/not working properly. But fun for younger kids who like the soft play area
Prices are higher than listed on the website but we still had fun
The mini-golf course is pretty fun and well-designed. The arcade could be better, as there weren't a lot of games that my 8-year old were interested in. The indoor play area is probably best for ages 3-6. My 8-year old was done after just 8 minutes there, so it wasn't worth the cost for him to play. There's a climbing wall which I recommend having grippy socks for. My son's feet just slipped right off with regular socks on. The socks that they sold us for $2 were not grippy.
This is a good place for a birthday party for kids especially 5-11 year olds. They allow for all ages but the soft play is only for those younger than 11 which is great for the younger kids. My 5 year old enjoyed the arcade games this is my reason for 4 stars, there were quite a few that just didn't work anymore or were clunky. There were some newer ones and I totally understand Magic Castle has been around a long time and nothing is getting cheaper. Otherwise the rest of the experience was great, the staff
Most games didnt work. Pizzas must be very rare. The whole place needs a good scrubbing
We had a birthday party here and everything was great. The staff were really helpful and the kiddos had a lot of fun.
The main issue I had was there was no employee in sight for the first 15-20 minutes we were there so I couldn't pay the fee for the play area. I wasn't wow'd with the place but my toddler had a good time running from game to game.
Perfect place for a youngster's birthday. We celebrated my son's 7th birthday here. Colin and his team were outstanding, and made my son's night! Pizza was great, kids enjoyed all the games, climbing on the rock wall, and especially the soft play area. Thanks so much for the awesome time and for making my kids birthday one he will always remember. In his words "this was the best night of my life!"
My daughter had her 5th birthday party at Magic Castle and we all had a Blast! It was so amazing!
Love coming here with my toddler! Staff is always nice, shout out to Gabe!
The Magic Castle has new games and carpet. My kids love playing on the playground and rock climbing wall.
Fun place for some mini golf, indoor games looked good also but we skipped that this time.
Everything's dated looks as if they put a small fraction back into the place. But overall a decent place to go for $25 $30 bucks. Mind ya I just have two boys one was 3 and the other 1.5 at the time. We had zero food..
Noah takes care of everyone that comes in there. Great to see young men with actual customer service. The management team is top-notch as well
My 7 yr old grandson spent hours of enjoyment for $40, which included putt putt golf, a pizza and pop, in addition to the soft playground, climbing wall, and video games. Well worth the money.
It's ok.. definitely not the best arcade game selection. And some I felt were way over priced for what you got out of them ticket wise. It was either a small kids version or way too hard to win. Only a few were worth playing, in our opinion. We won't be returning for the arcade at least. Some of the games were broken but there were no signs so it took our money. Maybe we could play mini golf in the summer, but the arcade isn't worth it.
Not a great place for toddlers between 1-2. I had to watch my daughter who is 16 months like a hawk to match sure she didn't get trampled. I think 1-11 is too big of an age gap for the soft playground as many of the older kids were wild and because they're kids, they had no concern for my little girl. I think it'll be a great place for her when she's a bit older. The prices are Fantastic for having fun on a budget.
Had a great experience for my 5 year old's birthday party! Colin, the manager, and his staff were attentive despite us purchasing the cheaper package without the birthday host. There is also soft play area with a little rock climbing wall. Make sure to ask for Colin when planning your birthday party!
I love going here. So much better than Chucky cheese and the rest of the arcade restaurants. They no longer have the ball pit. Due to health reasons and covid. They replaced it with a rock climbing wall for the kids. I've been going here since I was 5-6 years old. I now take my nieces and nephews here.
Had my sons 3rd birthday party here and it was wonderful! Super clean and the the kids had so much fun! The party room was small but it was clean and our host was the sweetest. Was definitely worth the already super reasonable price for a birthday party. Will absolutely tell my momma friends to do it and will be back!
I need the GM to know that James is amazing you would have thought he came from chic fa lae customer service bootcamp thanks for the service. I hope your there for my families second visit. I highly recommend this place for anybody with any kids with ADHD/autism/anxiety.
My kids always enjoy our gatherings here. We are here about twice a year. I just wish there was more games that the littler kids could enjoy.
It's ok. My granddaughter loved it. Employees were pretty nice. Went for a birthday party. Pretty much like Chuck E Cheese but a few extras. Miniature Golf looked nice
Always nice and quiet when we go. Friendly staff
Took the kids hear today. What a great place for kids, games, playhouse, food, drinks
A great place for soft play area for a very reasonable cost. Probably recommended for kids upwards of 2 to gain full advantage of all of the play equipment but smaller ones can have fun too, just be careful of timing and volumes of larger kids (not the Venue's fault). Staff were friendly enough, and the amusements around the area we mostly working and reasonably clean and clear throughout. Did t see the party area but a group just finished off and saw plenty of happy faces.
Went to my grandson's birthday party. The kids had a great time with all the games to play. Don't know how much it costs but the machines are expensive in comparison to playing minigolf which we didn't do this time. The machines are like gambling. Pay about a dollar each if you're VIP and you win tickets to exchange at rediculous rates fir cheap toys etc. But what fun. The best 3 were the Deal or no Deal, small basketball game, and the hippo grabbing the balls. Deal/no Deal because you got play time
We played the mini-golf here and it was a fun 18 holes! Nice little challenges and the theme itself is so cool. I wish we had time for the arcade or the batting cages. It all looked so fun
Fun place for little ones to run around and have fun. Some of the play spaces are outdated and the place could use some upgrades but overall good value for the cost to play. The games are outdated and some simply do not work but smaller children will enjoy them. I have noticed new games making their way in the building which is a sign of good things. The staff are always great. Food is good enough to eat but not a good value for the money.
My 3rd visit for a nephew's birthday party. This is an ok place to have a child's birthday party. However, it is small and cramped as they book many parties at once. The machines were not working so that we could purchase a card to play games. The games are fun but slightly pricey with little return in the way of tickets. The food is concession stand quality.
Great birthday parties! The staff takes all the hosting burden. We also enjoy bringing the kiddos for soft play
Great Birthday party...nice that they have staff at the door and very child friendly and attentive staff! Food fun and friends
Took my wife, son, daughter, and her friend on a play date. Pizza is good, kids had fun. It's not cheap, but worth the kids having fun. I just wished the other parents paid more attention to their kids.
I had my sons party here and I just want to thank Colin for all his help. He was a gentleman and bent over backwards for us. He is a great manager and run that place amazing! Thank you and we will be back again !
Always a pleasant experience here. We have been coming for years with having 2 kids. Comparable to Chucky Cheese but you have to pay extra for the soft play area here. Use of cards that they provide instead of coins that are reloadable for games. It's kept clean and not usually over crowded. They have a nice putt putt area outside and batting cages. Overall it's a nice little evening out with kids plus they have pretty decent pizza!!!
Prices have become outrageous for games at this place. 3 1/2 dollars each time you play certain games and even if you have the card that gives you cheaper prices it's still $2.75. I don't see how in the world they will even stay in business anymore.
The workers are nice enough, but the batting cages suck! They need to be updated badly. Colin agrees with me, he is awesome. I think, he deserves a raise. ??
Fun little place. Prices for games are pretty decent. It's not big, but they do well with the space they have. The place has an arcade, indoor play area, and mini golf. Mini golf course is nice. One of the better ones around. Well maintained. Arcade has air hockey, skee ball, lots of your typical ticket based games, a few other arcade/video games. Decent setup. They also host parties and have a concession stand.
Great for little kids, decent for anybody older like teens
It was a large birthday party for my 6yr old granddaughter and twenty or so of her friends and school mates, everything went smoothly, the pizza was good, the young lady assigned to the room, worked really hard and kept it all in order and on time. The game area itself was clean, loud and fun. Very good ??.
A nice indoor game area and a very challenging mini golf.
We have been going here with our children for 22 years. There are many play options... Games, mini golf, batting cages, and soft play. We've enjoyed them all. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly and great with children. We've never been disappointed with our visit.
Fun place, easy going staff, kids had a great time on a bunch of different activities. Not cheap, but not nearly as expensive as any other arcade I've brought my kids to.
Booked a birthday party here for my 14 yr old and it was so much fun, very glad we decided to have it here. You get a host for the entire 2 hours that does everything from get pizza for the kids to refilling their drinks. They really do everything for you, it was nice not to have to worry about the little things. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun place for kids of all ages to have an awesome birthday party.
What a great place! For only $2.50, we took our fifteen month old boy to climb around their play area. Parents are free and welcome in the play area. This was the first time our little one has ever gotten to explore a place like this and I think he had a great time. He only just started walking about two weeks ago, so he is go go go and what's to get into everything. Of course he needed our help with quite a few things, but he seemed so happy to have a huge place where nothing was a ?no no?. We visited on
Reserved a room for my son's 5th birthday and I was not disappointed at all by the service. They really did a great job of making him feel like he was the king of the day there. Things were priced about as fair as I could've imagined them being. There was a decent selection of games for him and his party guests to play. The package was about $156 total (half of which was just the deposit. The other half being the payment for the party itself.) Each child got a card preloaded with play credit. There were 2 r
Was told that our group of 6 people was too large to sit in the dining room area. So they moved us up stair where our kids ranging from 2-7 have to go up and down the stairs to get drinks, or visit with the rest of our party. I would understand if the place was packed but it was far from it. The soft play area smells like urine, and the entire place is extremely dated. My kids have a good time and that's the only reason they received 2 stars.
First let me say that this place is old. The steel building is suppose to look like a magic castle but it doesn't look magic at all. The inside of the building is not much better. So what's good. They have just enough arcade games to keep it interesting for an hour. They have putt putt. It's a older course and could use a fresh coat of paint but plays fine and is challenging. They have batting cages and a driving range. They also serve food. The food is basic frozen pizza type stuff. The place is staffed b
We just had my daughter's bday party here and it was great! The only thing that isn't always clear is how many tables we are allowed...parties are for 17 kids, but then there isn't room for everyone with kids and a parent. The last 2 years we haven't had a huge issue but it gets cramped with the party areas. Kids love the soft play area, which is great for my special needs son who has to have his shoes on with his foot orthotics--the staff is understanding and allows him to play. The staff is very frien
Staff was great. It oddly seemed understaffed or maybe right people not in right place. Definitely think a couple radios would benefit the employees. Everyone was super nice and tried to be helpful. Seemed organized. Game prices were surprisingly inexpensive and were inclusive of all ages.
Me and my fianc? and our boys love this place we go for birthday party's and just a fun family bonding place for fun food and games!! We will keep going back.
This place is very poorly maintained. We have been twice in the past year. Both experiences were ended in discussions of never going back because of how dirty the place is. The staff is courteous, if you can actually get them to recognize that you are there. They are better than chucky-e-cheese tho...
We spent the whole day here!! It was affordable, and kept my grandkids extremely happy for hours!!! We went on a Saturday at noon and it was just right with not too crowded, but still people and kids there to play. Nice choice games for the kids for earning tickets for prizes. However, my grandkids loved the playground the most!! Staff is beyond EXCEPTIONAL!! We will be back again!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
