Fun place to hang out. They're starting up foosball tournaments every Saturday. Even beginners have a spot for the tournament. The bar has great drinks last Saturday they made me some great Mai Tai drinks. Lots of pinball / video games and friendly folks.

Overall, a different vibe. A good place to change it up. But slow. I don't mean, like bar is packed and they have every bartender doing their best. I'm talking 15 people in line with 1 bartender making drinks and getting beers. No servers that I saw. They had a section for ?beers & cans?, but no one was there to serve. Not sure if it was an off night.

edit for the owner* I gave the L.A.B another try tonight, and I don't have fun. Every time I come I always feel disappointed and frustrated, by the machine set to tournament play. I just want to enjoy the game. Yes you have the value buy if it is not fun to begin with, what the point. Shame because you're the only arcade that has James Bond and Rick and Morty. The L.A.B is just not right for me. * The L.A.B is an okay Arcade bar. 90% of their games are just pinball. All of the pinball machines

Great spot for all generations around. Agustine behind the bar has the knowledge to make all drinks you know and love and is personable with all guests. The owners Kristy and Nate are on the floor making sure their customers are having a top notch experience at all times and the food was (*chefs kiss) the Buffalo wing basket is unmatched in Ogden so far. If you're looking for old school arcade games it's a great place for all generations to come together (still 21 and up to enter). They have a lounge area

What an awesome place! Clean and friendly, they have an area with couches, a coffee table, and an old N64 that feels very much like your best friend's basement. Tons of arcade games and even a few board games. Local beers on tap were fantastic, highly recommend the Rogue Lager and the Wasatch blonde. We got to revisit our childhood dreams of being skiball champions and owning a pinball machine. We'll be back!!

This is such a fun place to hangout even if you don't drink! The game passes have an option to pay for specific hours which gives you the chance to just share a card and play games together which helps the wallet a bit! We went after a date night just to hangout, and I had a great time! Lots of pinball machines, air hockey, and my fianc? especially loved this punching bag game! Food wasn't my favorite, so I recommend eating before you come, but the drinks were pretty stock standard and not too expensive!

Fun if you want to try out pinball, but it's too expensive to come to constantly. Very narrow space makes it awkward to hang out in. Some pretty interesting clientele, which I know is out of their control, but many types of people you wouldn't see in other bars. Don't trust some stranger on the internet though, it's worth a try for yourself.

Holy guacamole the drinks here are expensive! The arcade is nice and the machines seem to be in working order. With that said, I'd prefer to go to Quarters in SLC and sugar house for a larger space and more games to play.

This is one of the coolest places I have been to in the last few years! The staff are super friendly and the pinball machines are top of the line! Anyone who used to go to arcades would be in for an amazing time here!

Super cool place. Great wings and fries. They have several beers on tap you can't find like the blackberry, lemon twist and other local stuff. They also have a variety of fun, delicious cocktails, nice tables, large bar and even couches to chill. Love it!

We came to Utah for th? skiing but this was such a highlight of the trip that we came twice! Great selection of pinball machines and other arcade games, good mix of vintage and modern games. Karaoke night was a blast as well!

Amazing vintage arcade, suited for those 21 and older. Good drink menu, and amazingly hospitable bar staff. No cover charge. To play, you use cash or card to to ourchase credits and load them onto a "tap-able" card. This card is used at each machine. Alcohol and food purchased with cash or card (not game token card).

Awesome bar arcade with a variety of pinball machines, classic arcade games, and special events. Great food, great drinks, and great staff! Pinball tournaments weekly and daily happy hours for half-off games

Fun little bar offering several different gaming experiences for your date night, group hangout, or solo adventure. This downtown Ogden location is a fun way to spend time reminiscing over Nintendo on the couch by the front entrance, or enjoying friendly competition with a foosball game. A group of 4 can match skill in Mario Kart or spread out among the variety of pinball machines lining the outer walls. Skee ball, a boxing arcade game, and several board games are also available to keep you entertained. The

Absolute great hangout spot. Grab your friends' and head down and have a great time. Great selection of beer and drinks, all the great acrade games plus pinball and skeeball. Not sure what took me so long to come see this spot but ill definitely be back. Has a great selection of sour beers ??

The bar arcade is a good vibe. However their trivia night could use some improvements. The song round played the song way too long, the time between rounds was insanely long, etc.

A Must-Visit Spot! The L.A.B. Lit Arcade Bar is pure fun. Great drinks, retro games, and a vibe that's both nostalgic and fresh. The artistic twist adds a unique charm, and the staff make you feel welcome. Perfect for a night out with friends or a chill solo hang. Highly recommend checking it out!

Great food, great atmosphere, amazing bartenders and game selections! If you love gaming, this is the place! Karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays are a blast!

The lab is one of favorite arcade bars around. I Always have a good time there, the staff and the owner are really cool. I can't wait to go back

Really enjoyed our experience here. Been here a couple times for date night. The card we got lasted both times. The staff is pretty friendly. Last time we went though must've been training night. The selection of games is mostly pinball which isn't bad but still would be nice to get more of a variety. The food is about the same. Overall would definitely recommend this place to kill a few hours.

Updated review: Still awesome! Took my husband who doesn't drink, hates bars, doesnt really play games, and generally doesnt leave the house except for work, here and he really liked it. He even said he'd come and check it out with me again. He said people were nice and welcoming and not pushy like a lot of bars. Original review: Aaron and Kyle completely sold us on this place! Super kind, helpful, and full of energy! I didn't know an arcade bar existed outside of SLC. And the vibe is way better than anyth

Stopped by after dinner cuz we wanted to check it out. Fun little place with an awesome selection of games. I love pinball even tho I suck, so when I saw the selection I was pleased. Staff was nice, drink selection was good, the beer that was recommended was FANTASTIC! We will be back for sure. I'd give it 5 stars, but the temperature in there was a little uncomfortable and made us leave after an hour.

(Visited on Dec 2nd 2023, after a visit to the Christmas Village.) A nice little arcade bar with a good mix of games both old and the new. Bar staff was super friendly, and the vibe was chill. The machines were mostly well maintained; the owner was repairing a machine during my visit. While not perfect (the lower attack buttons on the Mortal Kombat machine need to be looked at!) The L.A.B.'s arcade machines were in better repair than most comparable establishments I've visited. This is a great place to spen

Fun place, drinks are delicious and the games some old school and some new school.

Awesome barcade! 25 pinball machines all in great condition and operating as they should. A must visit if you are in Ogden and well worth the trip from anywhere in Utah. The only place with screens above the pinball machines so you can watch your friends play. Good food, great drinks and a sophisticated atmosphere to have fun in. The owners are hands on and all the staff has been friendly and outgoing! Skeeball, Pinball, new and vintage arcade games what more could you want in a night out?

What a fun addition to Ogden! The variety of pinball and similar arcade games was excellent. I went in a week day evening and it was quite busy. They've only been open for two weeks as of this review, so they're still working out some kinks with the bar service. I recommend ordering canned beer instead of a cocktail for time's sake, at least for now. Good amount of seating for eating and taking breaks between games. Looking forward to seeing how this spot grows!

This place is so much fun! My husband and I came here for our anniversary and can't wait to come back! When we first walked in we were greeted, asked for ID, and then got our wrist stamped. We told the lady we'd never been here before, so she told us to go around the corner and purchase our game cards from the kiosk. It was fairly simple. You can either buy tokens or pay by the hour. Most games take 2 tokens, but some of the others (like Mario Kart) take 5. We paid for an hour of gameplay, but could have

Great bar to go to if you're looking to have a little fun in a chill environment. The crowd is more the gamer type, not so much Gen z and their drama! Bar tenders are super knowledgeable in off menu drink options, and the games are cheaper then most arcades.

I love the lab ! I love the trivia nights and the staff is so great! Jeff and Aaron are so positive and always down to have a conversation and just make you feel welcome. The food is fantastic. The mixed drinks are delicious! The vibe is great! It's like a second home lol I love the free game play! I love the pinball games ! So many ones to choose from! I'm still waiting for an Elvira pinball machine ?? there is something for everyone! Thank you for the memories ??

If you like Pin Ball machines, decent place. Thr bathrooms however? terrible! Men & women?s! Wife couldn't even sit down on toilet to pee? THANKS GUYS ?? hope to see cleanliness improved & would appreciate a more variety in games. Decent customer service, and don't wait for food to be made even? cheers.

We went on Halloween night for the first time. Bartender is great! Best Tom Collins I've had in this town. The hourly passes are perfect. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Pretty much all the games were in working condition, I think just two were down. Pinball heaven! And skee ball. That night they were also doing karaoke and the host was super sweet. We're definitely going back, great date night. AND the music isn't so loud that you can't talk! Too many bars just blast the music and conversations can

Perfect drop in for after Ogden Twilight shows. This place is rad. I'm not a huge pinball nerd but still can appreciate. There was like trivia/ comedy going on, good beer selection, servers were cool

We had the BEST time at The LAB!!! They all went above and beyond to accommodate our large group with what started out as a Poker event for charity but ended up being a full night of arcades to follow! The dealers Todd, Preston and Norm) knew the game, were interactive, and had everything ready to go so that all we had to do is buy in. We absolutely plan on regular Poker events now, largely based on our interactions. Kyle was a pro behind the bar. Some of the best (and inexpensive) drinks we've had! It w

This used to be a chill place to grab a couple of drinks and play pinball. Unfortunately the staff has changed in the past couple of months and they clearly don't know how to run a bar or take care of loyal patrons. It's also obvious they have had recent problems with Utah DABS. If you are looking for a place to enjoy an evening in Ogden, there are plenty of other options.

Came here with another couple and we had a really fun time. Friendly staff, lots of nostalgia for millennials like myself. Will be back for Karaokee and trivia night.

Absolutely awesome atmosphere and so many fun games. The food was great and the bartenders were super friendly and helpful. Best place for a chill night out

Really fun concept for a bar. However, be prepared to wait a while for a drink. They only had 1 - 2 bartenders but the place was jam packed and everyone wanted a drink. Half the games here are pin ball just fyi and it would?ve been nice to have a little more variety in games. We didn't stay long because of this and the wait for a drink, but would still go back.. this is the kind of place you go have drink or two, play for an hour, and then go to 25th st.

Great establishment! Enjoyed the modern games, karaoke on Thursday, pinball, Killer Queen, and much more.

Me and my boyfriend love to come here to play games and have a couple drinks, it's a real cool bar! But we were turned away an hour before close the other day?I'm not sure what their policy is but I would advice to try to maybe catch them a couple hours before they close to go in. Even the staff standing outside were confused on why we were turned away bc they opened the door for us welcoming us in.

My husband planned a birthday party here for me and it was wonderful. It was easy, laid back and felt very welcoming. The staff is all kind, amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was a a great one. We will definitely be returning based on this experience.

This place is great! The staff are always amazing and super friendly, the pricing is easy on the wallet, and the games are great and in tip top shape! Overall a very fun place to hang out at after work.

Not quite 5 star but I did enjoy it overall. First issue is they don't have a sign for the business out front. Took a few times around the block to find it. Some of the card scanners for the games were not working right. They had a DJ the night we went and the music was wayyy to loud. Quite a few pinball games but limited on the arcade games. Drinks were good and fairly priced. Decent bar style food. Employee at the door was nice and professional. Our biggest complaint though was you couldn't tell who was a

Was a great experience, my wife and I went for our first anniversary, had some drinks and played some arcade games, then ended the night on their N64 playing Mario party together, would be a 5 star but I've had a pending charge of 90$ for almost a week now (Bill already cleared) tried to contact them with the listed number and got no answer, and not even sure the number connects to them because there's no voicemail service identifying it as them... Edit for response- charge occurred Tuesday, but I would lov

Pleasantly surprised! We came on a Saturday night after 8pm. We thought the drinks were reasonably priced. Nice to see local beers on tap. We all had a blast playing skee ball and lots of pinball. Plenty of pinball games so many were available to walk up and play even on a late Saturday night. Bar area side was more crowded as it got later, but the pinball side didn't feel crowded at all. We'll definitely be back! I would suggest hand sanitizer around.

Super fun vibes. Came with friends to celebrate my birthday. They cleared the backroom for us to have a place to kick back and just vibe. Coming here with friends is the 2nd best way to celebrate my birthday, only to being with my kids. Will come back again and again.

This bar is awesome! So many awesome pinball games to choose from! And the drink menu is really good, along with a sweet beer selection. They even have old school N64 and other Nintendo consoles for free! One of the coolest bars around for sure.

This place is amazing! I came from out of town and just happened to stay next to the L.A.B. - what a hidden gem for pinball lovers like me! About 30 pinball machines, all in great shape. Only a few machines were down, but that's normal; can't expect all machines to have 100% uptime, and with that many other working machines it doesn't matter! All machines were well lit (well, except Grand Lizard lol) and fun to play. All Stern machines had Insider Connected, which is nice. Some machines even had "spectator

Fun spot, I'll be visiting this place regularly on my Utah visits. I loved the Star Wars pinball machine in particular!

Waited long time for drink. Drink could be cheaper. Game are only okay. More pinball that is cheap plz

Lots of great games, and a decent bar.

Pinball enthusiasts, this is your bar! They have great drinks, great staff, and great games. They work really hard to maintain their games so that they're in good condition. Even if pinball isn't your thing, they have tons of other classic arcade games and even an N64. If you're in Ogden, check it out!

We played Grinders Poker for the 1st time at this Arcade/Restaurant/Tavern. There were 66 players & what a Hella fun time we all had?? Games were fun, food was delicious & their employed were phenomenal! They were right there waiting on us with smiles & the great service ever! Thank you so much for a fun afternoon!!!

Went downtown this evening with my husband and son for a family outing and stopped by The L.A.B. We really enjoyed ourselves and loved that it was not so busy we couldn't play the games that we really enjoy. Neat idea, having the games and bar together. I am sure we will be back. The only disappointment was that Galaga was not working. I also enjoyed the music that was playing in the background. It was not too loud and I appreciate that. We could converse without shouting. Not a typical bar setting. I pray

I enjoyed the selection of games, but it is hard to justify spending at least $1 per play of each game while also spending money on food and alcohol. Went on a weeknight so it was a very relaxed atmosphere and the employees were all very kind. The drinks were good so overall the only downside is the cost of games.

Sat at the bar for 20 minutes and nobody helped me. Wasn't busy at all either. They care more about taking ten minutes to Make a cocktail. I ended up just leaving. This is my third time giving them a try the first time I took my fianc? and was met with similar service. The owner to his credit did buy us a beer and apologized for the slow service. I doubt we'll come back since things haven't really changed.

Used to love it here, but they very recently doubled their arcade machine prices. Most pinball machines are 4 credits ($1) for a single play. The skeeball machines used to let you play 3 times for 2 credits and now its only once. This place is just a standard bar with standard bar prices and the only reason i came often was to play games, but it adds up so quickly now. I went through 20 credits in about 20 mins. Might not be coming back here anymore unfortunately. I really liked this place. EDIT: Pret

The food was hot and delicious... we had a blast here!! The prices are semi reasonable. We got 2 shots a mixed drink and 2 beers mozarella sticks fries and chicken strips for 66.00 They had a great drink selection and the bartender was awesome! We bought a 30.00 game card and we played for a solid 2 hours. The game selection was good but could be better. Duck hunt would be seriously legit. Also a sit in game like pirates of the caribbean or halo!! There is too much pinball. The pac man was full

Always a good time! Great staff, games & drinks!

If you love pinball, you need to check this place out! So many tables to choose from and when you get bored of that just try one of the many other arcade games they have. Bar offerings are pretty typical, with a few specials and a good beer selection

Incredible collection of well maintained pinball machines. The owner is an enthusiast so the machines are in great shape and there is a tech checking on them frequently. Great drinks and decent bar food. I highly recommend checking it out!

Often I hear about how Ogden is lacking in cool establishments. The LAB is just the thing Ogden needed. It will only survive if others come and support these establishments. The LAB has an amazing vibe, great drinks, awesome games. Nate and Kristy the owners are down to earth people who are realizing their dream with support from locals. I'll be going back and hope others will continue to visit the LAB. They regularly hold pinball tournaments which is a great way to meet new people. Well done Nate and Krist

Love this place, I feel safe and I feel like there's a really nice vibe here. Wish there was a burrito place nearby there so then I would come back inside and just continue playing arcade games and eating some greasy Mexican food. Better yet if the L.A.B started offering some chimis I'd probably just live there just kidding gotta work.

The staff was friendly, clean environment. I went for the pinball and had a good time. Best part is that kids aren't allowed. Take that stupid kids! Go do your RISE testing!

Will be coming again!!!! No cover charge. An Awesome DJ ;-) Loads of yummy beers on tap/draught. Food options available. Friendly and laid back atmosphere.

Love it here. Really fun. Cheap drinks.

Decent Bar-Cade. Beer and mix drinks were solid, food was standard bar food deep fried and tossed in a basket. Game selection favored pinball, would have liked to see more coop games. Had some solid hitters like skeeball, golden tee, galaga, pacman duel. I liked the setup, but felt it lacked something. Hoping they expand selection and seating/break areas.

The food is amazing depending on who's cooking. I would highly recommend this place over any bar in the area, especially if you want to have a good time. The staff and owners are incredible and will always take great care of you, even on a busy night. Which is hard to say for the rest of the bars in the area.

Best bar in Ogden hands down. Have a blast with your friends drinking and playing video games and pinball. Try the cactus canyon drink. It's amazing. The fries are delicious. Thanks for a great time!

Love the Lab. Especially the staff and the pinball machines. ??

Really enjoyed my night here. They have an impressive collection of pinball machines and I had good interactions with the employees. Also liked the tvs hooked up to the games so you can watch your friends play.

Finally! A bar-cade in Ogden and with a legit pinball situation! Fun atmosphere, good beer, simple game selection and kind humans. Looking forward to seeing them do tournaments and bring out Ogden?s gamer culture. They have Medieval Madness #swoon

It's fun even for a non-drinker.

It was like reliving my childhood all over again but this time sucking down a few cold ones in the process. Great hosts and staff, my favorite game was down but there's always next time. Definitely going back. (Edit) forgot to add suggestion? bring in tabletop games like D&D or tables to rent to play campaign on.

I've been there a few times, and it's always a super fun place to grab a drink and play some old school arcade games! Super friendly staff! If you're a wing person, definitely try the honey garlic wings!

L.A.B offers a unique experience previously missing from Ogden in the form of nostalgic games and a truly special social environment. There are plenty of cooperative games that facilitate an easy way to make new friends and tons of solo games if you'd rather play on your own. The barstaff and cocktails are great too!

This place is awesome. The Sunday pinball league is fun and friendly!

Really great environment and lots of fun. Happy hour is cheap if you can make it early. Great selection of pinball and at arcade games. Only Barcade in town!

so happy about this place! ogden really needed something like this. the games are so fun, and it feels like the credits go a long way!

Perfect place for a date night. Games, food and drinks are all top notch. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back for round 2.

This place has a fantastic, inclusive, environment. Pinball focused but a fun array of other games as well and the staff has always been great. A+, Would recommend to a friend.

Such a cool place! Tons of pinball, moderately proced drinks and everyone is SO NICE. Such a great time.

The place is really fun! My only issue is their mixed drinks. They come in a small plastic cup and is mostly ice. I asked for no ice and the amount of liquid is basically a shot of alcohol and a shot of soda. Not worth the price!

Stopped in for a nightcap. Awesome bartenders Luke and Nick provided stellar service! Thank you!!!

I can't get enough of this place! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the games are in top-notch condition. Every time I visit, I have an absolute blast.

Go! Just go! This place is EPIC! Do yourself a favor, get out of the house. Go play some EPIC games, have a snack, a few drinks, make new friends, enjoy the atmosphere, MAKE IT ROUTINE! Seriously had the most amazing time. The only wish.... I wish it opened years ago! Thank you for having such a fun place to play!

Not what I was expecting at all I paid $10.00 for a basket of chicken tenders and fries and they were basically the bottom of the bag chicken tenders pd $8 for a drink in basically a water cup... Thought there would be more games as well mainly pin ball machines. Really friendly service though... Just expected more I guess

Amazing place! Great Service.. Great Games. Definitely the place to be.

Went during a weeknight during the soft opening. There are a few kinks to work out still but had a great time. Games and atmosphere are great. Will definitely be returning.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
