We had my sons 12th birthday party here. It's was great for all ages. Very fun, low cost. Would recommend to anyone!
"The Hangout Arcade is a local favorite. It mixes nostalgic arcade games with new, so there is something for everyone! Conveniently located across from College Square Park, it adds a great value to our wonderful community."
Not a place for younger kids like 10 or younger. A lot of shooter games and for taller people to reach the pedals of driver games. A lot of choices of games however.
We love to go. It has good retro and modern games for affordable prices. Most of the games on the bottom level are 50 cents, except for the ALIENS game, which is 75 cents, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, which is 25 cents. Nearly all of the second floor games are 25 cents. It is a great arcade! I recommend having birthdays there.
Excellent family fun!
It is amazing! They have the best games, and are open to host nearly any event. There was even a celebration of life there.
We went on New Year?s Eve with the kids for the first time. Amazing and friendly staff with many games to play with reasonable prices. Kids had a blast but I think my husband had the most fun of all playing games from when he was young. My son has talked about it everyday after. We can't wait to go back!
We really enjoyed playing the games- from Pinball, Skeeball, Basketball Shoot, to the many arcade games- we truly had so much fun! It's an inviting environment as soon as you walk in the door, awesome arcade vibes! I really like the 2 different levels, plenty of room for friends and/ or family to enjoy themselves. Games were very reasonable at 1 to 2 coins each play. They even had a claw machine! I recommend visiting to see what they have to offer and find out how much fun you can have at The Hangout Arcade
Nostalgic. Pretty cool place to have in such a small town
Super cool place ! The kids love it ! They need adult nights so we can drink and play ??
Fantastic arcade for the whole family! Big shout out to Chris Thompson for opening up such a fun place!
The kids loved it. It was affordable entertainment. They each had $5 and got to play plenty of games. I'd highly recommend.
Great idea for kids of all ages
A great place to take the family! We are so thankful to have an arcade so close to town. We wish you the best in all your endeavors!
So nice to see something for kids and family in a small town ! Nostalgic games bring you back to childhood. Good prices as well.

Fun games for everyone!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
