First the Hangar is so much more than best cinema around for the $$ Great menue and brick oven style pizzas. They have a full arcade. Dine in or take out. Curb side service.and put on,great outdoor events wkend events. Summer matinee for kids. They have firepits Beer gardens Live bands. Carshows this is a true evernt center. They staff some amazing ppl. And shout out to Alex. The manager cool dude and runs a top notch crew. Go give em a try. And watch for Hot Rods At the Hangar. And Nw mo.Moon Fest.
Went to go see the new Lilo and Stitch with my daughter last weekend. The movie was trash, which is not why my review is 3 stars. The reason my review is 3 stars is there were so many rude patrons around us that were talking very loud and using their phones and phone flashlights on the highest setting and it was very distracting. They were talking so loud that we could not hear the movie and there was no one watching the theater to prevent this. My daughter and I left early because of this situation. I have
I always come here to watch a movie! The screen and audio quality are outstanding, and the seats are pretty decent. Recently tried their pizza and it also didn't disappoint! It really feels homemade with its seasoning and crust texture. I ought to try some of their other foods next time I come here...
We had my sons 2nd Birthday Party there. Lots of room for the kids to play even with the bouncy house. We got a big bag of popcorn and pizza that tasted great! Excellent service provided by them. Recommend for events of any kind- very kid friendly!!
Airplane hanger converted to theater. Good spot to catch new releases. They have a dinner theater area for rent for groups called Gate 5. General admission is $9.50. Snacks and beverages available for purchase, as well.
Hosts the local Maryville Market every Saturday during the summer. You will find all kinds of things from local crafts, baked goods, fresh produce, and local food vendors like Grill Sergeant Barbeque & Kool Kats shaved ice & ice cream as well as the pizza offerings from the theater restaurant on site. Sometimes there are even bounce houses & inflatables to keep the kids busy while you browse through all of the vendors!
This past weekend, The Hangar hosted the Platte County and Maryville High School show choirs - about 100 people all together - with a pizza buffet, karaoke, games, dessert, and one of their large theaters for the evening. Everyone had a GREAT time. Don't forget The Hangar for your large gatherings - we can't recommend them highly enough!
Comfortable, easy to go to the movies without reservations. Good food and snacks are available. The arcade looks like it entertains the kids. Free movies and the Nostalgia Nights are fun outings.
My brother and I love coming here for the various movies, particularly the special events they have. During those, many of our friends have gotten the food, and the idea of having food near the theater is great. We had previously had issues though: our pizza was burnt the last time we went (lots of kids who were clearly struggling with the oven). We went last night, figuring we'd eat food before watching the movie. After spending time with the menu, my brother ordered the Italian pasta bowl and I tried to
The Hangar Cinema always has new feature movies and is super clean! They have a great pizza restaurant right when you walk in, so you can enjoy dinner and a movie night all in one place. My highest compliments to The Hangar Cinema! Make sure to order a large popcorn while you're there as they have the best buttered popcorn ever!!
My grandson loved the arcade area. The staff was friendly and professional. The place was also clean inside and out. Update took 3 grandsons there to play in arcade. They loved it and loved how they can get a drink and movie popcorn without going to the movies!!!
So many neat and interesting actives you can't find anywhere else in Maryville! Young kids will have a thrill but even for adults it's really a fun environment:) the food is great, movies are fun, staff is really kind, generous, & helpful. The arcade seems a lot of fun too!
Went to see the movie twister, the movie cut out midway and then i come out to the lobby to find the only staff member without his shirt on horsing around or something. He did apologize and got the manager to fix the movie. Also seeing other reviews and the lame owner responses he and this place can fail for all i care.
This place has everything! The seating in the theater was so comfortable! Love the recliners! The place is clean and the people are very nice.
The last two times I have been there the pizza is burnt. I don't know if you have changed the pizza dough. I have eaten a lot of pizza there . Please fix the problem because I enjoy the place very much. Thank you. My pizza has been wonderful now Thank you so much! I I enjoy going there very much. The staff is so friendly and caring. I would recommend it. So much fun.
As far as hometown movie theaters go, this one is good! It usually has a good selection of up to date movies along with some specialty movies for the international communities. The restaurant that features a brick oven makes good pizza and sandwiches, along with some bar apps like spinach or Buffalo dip. Prices are reasonable as well, for a small town theater. Seats are OK and maybe one day we'll get 3D showings, but it is good to stay current with the popular movies!
Hanger Cinema is the best. Great movies and best brick oven pizza and other food on their menue. Ticket prices are low and have senior discount, and others. Large selection of drinks, candy. Good popcorn. They even have games to play.
Great place to watch a movie, hang out, play games ... The theater is fabulous. Every seat is good. Sounds good. Games are fun to play. Even the popcorn is yummy
Had a birthday party here over the weekend. Good rental price, they don't breathe down your neck, and it seems like a lot of thought and consideration for children and families have gone into the updates!!! Even the toddler play area that's been placed by the booths..that's perfect!! Keep it up. This could be something very nice this summer!! Thank you!!
The Hangar Cinema is a must visit in Maryville. While visiting friends in town, I was looking for a place to take the kids and was pleasantly surprised by the selection of activies offered by the hangar. The arcade was a big hit with the kids and I found out they even host pickleball games! After working up an appetite, I was able to find a great meal for even our pickiest of eaters! If you're looking to relax with the family while watching a movie or get out and play games with friends, The Hangar has you
Been going here forever and a day. I really like the place. It has been remodeled and is a fun place for kids has a small arcade and other activities for children. But with the new remodel it can be confusing on where to go to get your tickets because there is two different checkout lines one is the the restaurant part and the other is where you buy the tickets and get your refreshments. Could use and update in the theaters themselves it has kind of an unpleasant smell.
We love going to the movies. They offer dinner and a movie, that specific room is not comfortable at all and is to dirty for my liking to want to have a meal in. Although, the food that I had in their regular dining area was excellent. The other movie theater rooms are great, nice and clean and comfortable. The staff is always helpful and polite. Really important to me, their restrooms are clean. The have a nice selection of movies each week. Wish they had an earlier showing on week days.
My husband and I love coming here, we prefer the other theaters as the seating in Gate 5 is not comfortable for movie viewing. Great theater seating in the others and the sound is very good! We visit often! Concessions are pricey for no refill policy. Overall movie experience for the size of community is good. Movie selection not as diverse as I am used too, but good.
Still my favorite theater to go to. Now that they have their own pizza, boom, a one stop good time shop! The pizzas are great! Probably in my top 2 of pizzas in the area. More games for the kiddos and who doesn't like winning tickets? We will keep coming as long as you'll have us!
The pizza is amazing and they have lots of drink options as well if you want to enjoy your meal in the lounge. As for the movie theater side of things the experience is great, with good sound and comfy seats.
Nice matinee for good movies
It is showing promise as an up and coming entertainment destination for kid-friendly family fun. Quality of pizza is fair. Cost is good for what one gets. Arcade type games for all ages, with tickets for prizes. Reminds me of a knockoff Showbiz pizza from when I was a child. Appears to have an outdoor venue space set up as well, maybe some neighborhood type concerts? I look forward to seeing what improvements they do.
Took my son and 4 of his friends there for his birthday - saw The Croods - we all had a good time!
The Hangar is currently running Free Christmas movies for families. You can pick one of 4 that they are showing, I am not sure how long it has been going on, but I was impressed by the organization of getting people up to counter to get free tickets and snacks. We got Popcorn and small drinks. All movie theater snack stands are high, but we got a free movie. The Hangar now has a pizzeria in it and serves beer for adults of age. The theater was clean & had comfortable seats. I could hear the voices clearl
Probably the most progressive and genuinely enjoyable place to eat and/or be entertained. A few slight changes and substitutions would be good for the newer menu, but it is all prepared well and tastes excellent. I enjoy the fact that The Hangar is both a theater and a restaurant; how convenient to bring the dinner and a movie idea into one unit. My only complaint; there aren't enough movie options. I understand the theater has to pick films that will gross the most revenue, but there have been quite a few
We tried the new BUFFET and we're very happy to have this option in town. These guys are working hard to provide a quality product and experience for our community!
Pizza was really good! A fun family atmosphere for all ages. A great place to have in Maryville. My 1 year old Grandson was smiles from ear to ear
I do not like the pizza and if you have a taste palette then you might understand. The margarita pizza needs more tweaking. I'm not a huge fan sorry not sorry . Fix it cuz that 10$ a pizza for something smaller than the average plate isn't worth it stop being cheap.
It's been a very unique experience seeing movies here! Thank you to the Hangar and the Northwest media department for hosting an awards show!
The owners are amazing and the place is fabulous.
Being the only theater in town, the prices are very reasonable. The General admission is about two dollars more than other theaters around the nation but the concession is not a price gouge. Overall I'd recommend seeing a movie here and not worrying about breaking the bank.
Showtimes were posted on the website for 3:45. Upon arriving we discovered that the box office wasn't opening until 6:15 and the showing was at 7. We are extremely disappointed as we drove over 40 minutes to see Little Women. There were at least 6 other vehicles in the parking lot as well, so I know we weren't the only ones. Please keep your website up to date.
Nice theater, 5 screens but not always the best selection of movie. No refills on pop or popcorn and the price is still as high or higher places that do refill. Also only a couple showings during the week and never any shows before 4 on the weekend.
The movie experience is adequate. While the Hangar only offers a small selection of movies, (often choosing the worse ones available) the theaters are clean and spacious. The concessions are actually not that expensive when compared to other theaters, (maybe $7 for a decent combo), but the real downfall of the Hangar is the dining option. The cafe offers an uninspiring small selection of food, but the service is absolutely horrible. On two separate occasions my wife and I have been seated and ignored for o
Untapped potential... The decorations and appearance of an old airplane hangar make this theater unique. Add the dine-in theater into the mix you should have an enjoyable and memorable experience, right? Wrong... This theater has so much potential, but whoever owns it truly has dropped the ball. They normally have a poor selection of movies, (there have been a lot of highly rated popular movies that they just don't get). Then they'll keep old movies around forever, charging full price of course. They
Our trio, 70 yr old Grandmother, 17 yr old grandson & my daughter( mother of gs) decided to see RAMPAGE. An A1 entertaining movie for everybody. It does have some youthful sight gestures & jokes rated typical childish that just made the movie hilarious. Great movie for families of all ages. And The Rock for me!
I've recently moved to Maryville and it's my first time eating here and everything was excellent!! Ty very much
Favorite place to go for date night. Have never had an issue with accommodating us and the staff always ignore my service dog which I appreciate a lot. We can't wait to go again!
Great atmosphere, Great customer service, very clean, excellent entertainment for kids. Love the free movie viewings in the summer
Nice place. Service could use some improvement, but all around a good way to watch a movie and have a beer. Good microbrews on tap. Food was very good. Seating is comfortable.
Great service and smiles.. comfortable clean theater. Sad to see the dinner cinema is no longer available. Could use more selection at concessions as far as hot foods. Hotdogs.. Nachos.. etc
Cozy home town theater with plenty of games and fun for the family however it is advised that you arrive a little early for your movie as to avoid a long conccession stand line but all the workers are more than happy to assist and the venue is clean and kept in an orderly manner and you can pre order your tickets online with them
Absolutely the worst service possible. The popcorn was old, cold and chewy. When I asked if there was a possibility of making more their customer service was awful. I would advice taking your own snacks in your bag!!!!
Best place ive ever been. Alex is the best manager i have ever seen in action. Pickle ball is awesome
Great establishment, just wasn't prepared for how cold it is inside. Being said, bring a jacket and a blanket. Thank you for your support of veterans.
Bad bathrooms. Little creature bit my ankle so I bit it back. Went to show the manger and he brought back a buffalo chicken roller from 711.
The remodel added greatly to the facilities amenities Sound and picture quality was very good. Restrooms need a little work but all in all very good.
Took my child to see Aquaman sequel. Theater was a bit chilly but all else was good.
This place has amazing pizza!! It's so good, and you can even bring it in to the movie your watching!! This is a really good deal!!
The arcade is relatively small, but really fun. Plus, the theater itself has always been a fun place to go.
The seating is uncomfortable and they have replaced.the lights along the stairs in the seating area with 5000k LED that are too bright and reflect onto the screen and cast shadows on the screen and this ruins the picture. Theater #3.
It was a nice experience. The people there were friendly. The movie I saw "Below The Fold" was a great movie! Highly recommend watching it!!
It used to have the best pizza it town, now I don't think they even serve food. Just the normal popcorn and candy
I always enjoy coming here with friends or alone. Popcorn is always frsh popped & facilities are clean. The crew has always been friendly & accommodating.
Pretty nice movie theater. It's pretty small with only 5 screens, but they get the biggest releases. They keep everything very clean and the staff are all friendly.
Rented one of the theatres at the Hangar for a fantasy football draft, the staff was incredible. They went above and beyond to provide everything that we could need!
great brickoven pizza check out the buy one get one free on tuesdayslook up coupon but i believe it is bogopizza or pizzabogo lol all of all Nice environment even has a arcade
Great for a small town movie theater. Interesting concept. They also serve food.
I hadn't visited this theater in probably 10 years, and I came back with a group to watch a movie that had just released. I missed this place. Beats going out to a busy city theater any day.
Had a pizza & pasta bowl. Both were delicious.
When visiting grandchildren we went to the movie Godzilla. The theatre is awesome and I love the whole layout of the building. Will go again when in the area.
Clean, reasonably priced! We will visit again!
It's a great place to get a something to eat and watch a movie.
Very cool atmosphere and excellent staff. $7 a ticket is more than reasonable these days
We had a great Time will definitely come back !! Only 4 stars because I wished the seats leaned back even a little
Best popcorn around when you get it fresh at least late shows usually arent great but the fresh batches are lit
Great theater. A good balance between the cost of tickets and concessions. A little more for tickets but more reasonable concession prices.
Nice theater. Seats are comfortable and it was clean. Will definitely go back again.
Very different from other theaters. Love how it is set up. I will definitely be going back!!!
Extremely busy but everything went smoothly. I really enjoyed my visit.
Small town theater vibe, was under construction when we went. Nice staff and tickets aren't too much.
Love it the movies the arcade games and the prize you get from your tickets
Popcorn was terrible and made me sick. They were not at all understanding or offered to make fresh.
very cool and unique cinema - great staff and pizza
Small place in a small world, only option for movie theater in Maryville. Quite decent and good.
A good place to come and relax after a hard day. Love the remodeling they've done!
Nice, clean, pleasant smaller theater. Good sound and pictures.
The Brick oven pizza is delicious. I always enjoy watching movies here.
I was up there with my grandson on the free movie. Staff was friendly, and that counts for alot. It was clean.
Reasonable price. Good seating. Good movie selection and quality
The staff working on Thanksgiving were very courteous! We absolutely love the hangar!
Under construction changing each time I've been there lately excited to see the final result!
The movie i can only imagine is a must see. Went tonight & was glad I did. Everyone needs to see it.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
