The Gulf Bowl Bowling Alley & Captain's Choice Seafood Restaurant

Ate there Saturday and have had stomach issues since eating the fries. The food is not expensive but not worth the discomfort of having stomach issues. The kids ran through money at the arcade really fast and it takes many tickets to get a prize. Might be better off going to the dollar store. Manager was rude to my friend and not very friendly. Lots of workers standing around but the ones at the cafe were very nice. For the amount of money you spend here, you expect more (spent about 50 dollars in an hour).

Megan and her staff made everything so easy for us. They did a fabulous job of making sure our event was everything we hoped for and then some. HIGHLY recommended!

I can't say enough about Megan and her team. Gulf Bowl was smart when they hired her. From the moment I began discussing our end of season middle school soccer party, she was enthusiastic and couldn't wait to help. My family recently celebrated a family reunion outing at Gulf Bowl. Our reunion coordinator Megan went above and beyond to make our event great. The Pizza buffet that we ordered was great and everyone was able to eat as much as they wanted. Overall, it was great experience.

Would not recommend. Approximate wait times provided were not even close. Push out bowling wait times intentionally to try and get you to spend money in the arcade. Post reply: The team turned the monitor around and told the lady in front of us that no one has waited an hour. With 5 minutes left in our 60 min wait time I asked for an update given we were told an hour. Then we were told 40 minutes at which time lanes were open but not available because of "league" which btw then put our time past 5:00

So much fun! We bowled, played laser tag, and VR. The course was way better than I expected. Awesome setup. Bowling was fun. The VR was so cool. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the side bar food was great. Ate the pretzel so fast forgot pic. Skyline wasn't open, but we will be back.

Went there tonight with my family. Food is mediocre at best. My daughter couldn't even eat her fries there were so underdone. Boyfriend's mac and cheese was nasty and tasted straight from a box. Not worth spending your money here.

My husband and I had dinner tonight at your restaurant. I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised! The food was wonderful, our server, Jessica, was absolutely amazing! We went for a quick and easy meal at Gulf Bowl. The bartender was prompt and courteous. Got a cheeseburger with Crinkle fries - the burger was a little bit overcooked, however, not bad. Chicken Quesadillas were on point. Service was spot on.

We had our daughter?s birthday party here in the VIP room and it was fantastic!! Our party host, Tristan, and the rest of the staff (including Megan and Grace) were so accommodating and went above and beyond! We hosted our company Christmas party at Gulf Bowl and it was a great success! Sarah Jane and staff were responsive and very helpful in the planning phase. We arrived to a very well appointed VIP Room, the food buffet was set up very professionally, and everything was great! We bowled, played arcade games, and had a delicious seafood dinner at this large facility. The also have a laser tag facility, but we didn't try it out this time. The restaurant menu is simple, but the seafood was perfectly done. I think the blacked grilled fish was the best I ever had. The corn fritters were perfectly fried, great Cole slaw and fried oysters. We came back early in the morning and had the place to ourselves.

Sarah Jane, the event coordinator goes above and beyond what is expected of her she's quick to respond to your phone calls and is good at scheduling. She did an amazing job with my son?s birthday and we're going to come back for more events every year. Looks like it could be a pretty cool place, but we wound up paying $40 pretax to bowl for 1 hour because they were having league night. They told us that only the VIP was available. Their ?VIP? is just another room of lanes. No bartender was on site and they told us there wouldn't be one so we had to walk back and forth to get our drinks. Their was also no music in the ?VIP? section. The whole experience just felt like a money grab. Why make someone pay for VIP if you aren't going to provide the amenities?

We got there on a rainy day during spring break with 500 other people. It was so crowded and the internet was down. No WiFi no laser tag and no card purchases via the kiosk?. My parents have lived in the area for over 30 years and my Grandparents before that. We have driven by for a very long time and never stopped. Until this week. We where super excited to bring the kiddos here but it was absolutely disappointing. The employees act like this is the worst day of their life. We asked about specials and was told they don't have any. We ordered desert cheesecake and if wasn't cooked and was still frozen. They forgot my husbands order and asked if he could wait 20 more minutes. They brought me the wrong drink and still wanted me to pay for it. Don't waist you time and money...... The taps taste like they need cleaned.

This place is suffering from putting off maintenance on a lot of it's games. 5-6 of it's arcade games were down out of their 20-30. The laser tag only had 7 working units and the staff didn't explain the game at all. The scores at the end didn't show on the screen and continued to glitch out the entire time. Ate at the restaurant, the waitress was amazingly polite and accommodating. My sweet tea was never empty and the kitchen did a great job on the brisket Mac n cheese. The service was great, and the servers were funny and very attentive. The baked potato was a little cold, and the green beans could use a little seasoning (might have just been the day), but their service truly made up for that. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

Very Disappointed!!I booked the VIP room for my son's birthday 2 weeks in advance. We get there and another party has the whole room. The event planner double booked the room. My son really wanted this room for his 17th birthday. I was very disappointed because it's not the same without the party room. I had to ask for a discount. I would be careful booking a party online.

This is an incredible facility. They hosted a birthday party for my 8 year old son. It was super clean, organized, and they have excellent customer service! Booking the party was super easy. Ashley, was an incredible and responsive organizer and our party hosts, TJ and Cort, were super nice, thorough, and both were great at their jobs! Literally standing waiting for Togo order. I get it all the employees are busy but the lack of acknowledgment is crazy. I don't like to ring bells because I don't want to rush employees. Especially when I know they're working. 1 star for lack of acknowledgment and for the wait. The front of the house system for the food isn't working. It's a disservice for everybody.

Captain's Choice used to be one of my favorite places to eat and we ate there at least once a month however in the last 2 years they have been nothing but disappointing. I do not give bad reviews lightly but after multiple chances for them to redeem themselves I must say that I would suggest they stop trying to be a seafood restaurant and just stick with the finger foods and pizza for the bowling alley.
